The greens seemed to be around 75-90 yards. You kick a soccer ball to a large hole with a flag with as few kicks as possible. There was a total of 9 holes. The holes were up and down hills, across a field and across a water feature. There was a little shade along hedgerows but most of the course is in the sun. One hole offered a bench to sit down at but the rest is walking or running to kick your soccer ball. There isn't any dribbling involved really. At first our friend wondered why there weren't 18 holes but we soon realized that 9 holes was plenty with the hot sun and length of each hole. Afterwards we bought some water from the concession and played mini-golf. My husband and I have played this course various times when we still lived in Clifton Park. It was my favorite place to play because the greens are normally clean and well kept, also there isn't a ton of shade so there are less mosquitos. I like their water features but it seems like they're frequently if not always under renovation. At the end when we turned in our putters there was a little pachinko slot for our golf balls where you could win a free small ice cream, a free game of mini-golf or foot golf or a free game of foot-golf. We noticed that it was setup so that there were no losing spots. Everyone's a winner I guess :) After 18 holes of mini-golf you can sit inside or out and enjoy some Perry's ice cream. I grew up in western NY and so I'm a big fan of Perry's ice cream which is NYS made. Some of my family is even from Perry, NY although that's not where the ice cream is made exactly. Regardless, they have a wide variety of hard ice cream flavors. I ordered a kids/small (they're the same thing at this place) and it came with 2 scoops. The Brownie Blitz and Pistachio were both delicious. I would definitely recommend this place for a fun family outing or a date night. Tip- you can play minigolf and foot golf for $13 a slightly discounted rate. Also, there were signs advertising couples mini golf for $18 on Thurs.

But with the food (we…read moredidn't order any, but it looked really good), the outdoor area, and the mini-golf course, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. The ice cream was okay. It's limited to about a dozen flavors between hard and soft. The hard ice cream flavors (we got hard ice cream this time) were more traditional, the soft ice cream flavors were more creative and interesting. Prices were about the same for similar sizes, though, but $4 and change for a small dish seemed slightly above average compared to the same amount elsewhere. Then again, there's nothing else that close to this place with whom to be competitive. Spoons aren't available here unless you order ice cream. The spoons are plastic, looking more like they're designed for iced tea or milkshakes, with long, slender, flimsy handles, and only teaspoon-sized for scooping. That's fine for a shake or soft ice cream, but they were a bit too flimsy for digging into hard ice cream. The flavors could have been a little stronger too, though the stuff in the special flavors (e.g., the Moose Tracks), made up for it. This is a fine place to go if you're looking for a meal with ice cream, or mini-golf plus food or drink. Then again, there's nothing else like it for many miles in any direction.

Not only did she cover the ice cream, she gave me an extra cup of sprinkles! We also played mini golf and the course is very well manicured and a great level of challenge. I appreciated that it had real obstacles (versus just flat pictures of them). I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again!

They have little pirate stories on each of the hole signs if you like to read about the history they created for this course. The greens are kept in perfect shape with no ruffled turf, loose bricks, piles of leaves, etc. The (very blue) waterfall was working and added ambiance. Scattered throughout the course are interesting pirate vignettes and facts, and the caves and bridges added to the experience. The course itself is a bit different from most others. Many courses add artificial challenges (sand bunkers, gravel areas, missing sidewalls near water, windmills, etc.) to make it difficult. Here, every hole is straightforward. And most of them are short. Therefore, it is best to approach it as each hole could (should?) be doable as a hole-in-one. And I got two, my friend got another two, and everyone around us was getting them. Does that mean the course is too easy? No, not at all. But, it isn't a course where you should be taking more than 2-3 putts to get it in the cup. There are no dogleg holes, etc. which add length. Some of the holes have fun twists. I won't give away the surprises, but there were several areas that led to good (and bad!) unexpected results. Play it out and you will see what I mean. The staff were friendly, and they had at least six different sized putters making it possible to get the perfect fit. The prices ($13) were certainly reasonable and comparable to other courses. It was packed on Saturday on a holiday weekend, but because the holes are so short everything kept on flowing nicely. Overall, a wonderful course.

Go-karts are fun, squeezed two adults into a car and it malfunctioned but they let us go another lap so it made up for it. Minus one star for games being out of service, two bumper cars and a handful of lasertag vests broken, and they really could use lockers for storing shoes for bounce houses, purses, umbrellas etc as they just get left at the starting gates or hold onto them in the attractions.

Many of the attractions were not open (bumper cars, indoor go-karts, kids inflatable play area), and those that were tended to be underwhelming. The go-karts were fun, and the rides were generously long, but that may have had to do with the lack of crowd size despite the beautiful weather. The go-karts themselves were wildly different in top speeds, and your success on the track was based entirely on the kart you were assigned vs. any actual ability or strategy. No big deal for us, but there was, shall we say, a slightly more competitive family who were extremely annoyed by this, and were letting everyone in earshot know about it. Most of the arcade games were older and not in the greatest condition, with a few exceptions. What was oddest of all was that I found a roll of 5,000 prize tickets just sitting on top of a closed air hockey table completely unattended. I brought them back to an employee at the concession stand and there wasn't even a thank you offered. If it happens again, maybe I'll just the 5' Angry Bird. They also wouldn't honor the Yelp Check-in offer for a free game of Laser Tag. All in all, this place has seen some better days, and both boys enjoyed playing mini-golf at the place across the parking lot far more than they did playing at Adventure Family Fun Center, but you could certainly do worse if you're looking to kill a few hours with the kids.
