Can someone help me on what I should do to cancel the membership? I've tried calling but I am told they can't cancel in site. Was directed to send a cancellation request to this email: cancelmillenniamma@gmail.com I did, but got not confirmation. A week later I called back and was told they couldn't do anything or confirm in the system that I should wait. I want to avoid being charged another month. My grandson loves this place and we like the variety of classes offered for his age range. My only concern is that while I watched him get consistent attention from the instructors, his (female) sparring partner was ignored three times in a row. She even walked up each time after, asking for help and for them to watch her (she was doing the moves incorrectly, but no one was helping her). That really concerned me. :( She was literally asking for help and no one would help her. Finally the fourth time the instructors paid attention to her and helped her form. So just keep an eye to ensure all the kids are getting equal attention. read more

Starting and learning a new skill can be intimidating but the fundamentals classes make it easier.You can see progress made through a card that keeps track of the class you've attended. *The friends you'll make in training. You're not alone in the shared struggle of learning something new and challenging. *clean mats, changing room, and restrooms. * different payments plans for different budgets. If you're unsure try a trial class before committing. *the community. They host activities aside from just training ( Halloween events, holiday open mats, etc.) *it's a great work out and they have a variety of classes to choose from. Zero work ethic, zero accountability, zero discipline. Wrestling program starts with the coaches 5-10 minutes late. then they have to put their shoes on and change. then they have to say high to each other and pat each other on the back all while the students wait. I signed up on a schedule for my son to learn and work hard. Then upon signing up for 6 more months they changed the schedule not allowing him to train with his age group. He showed up numerous times to a class that was canceled because nobody showed up. After a month of this I found an actual wrestling gym to facilitate his training. I explained the situation and asked for a refund. They denied me a refund stated they added classes and he has full access to the gym. We have no interest in being part of this gym seeing as it has been a disappointing experience. Now I've paid for 5 months that they refuse to refund me for. I upheld my end of the bargain, unfortunately they haven't. Don't make the same mistake I did. Choose another gym or a YMCA if available. Did I mention that they Charge others a discounted price and their members get charged more. read more

Signed up again recently after a very long hiatus because I wanted to get back into martial arts training again and was also looking for a good form of cardio to do during the week that doesn't bore me to death. So far I've taken the cardio kickboxing and striking fundamentals classes. The cardio kickboxing gives me a great workout every time. The striking fundamentals class was well structured and there was a good variety of bag work, pad work, and partner drills. I also don't know why there's complaints about membership cancellation. When I first signed up years ago, my card was never charged again after my initial year of training was up. Overall I would recommend this gym if you want to train martial arts or need a fun way to stay in shape. The instructors are great and there a lot of classes throughout the day to choose from. read more

Our son has been enrolled in the little samurai program for a year and a half and we have had such a wonderful experience here at Millennia! The coaches are extremely patient with the kiddos and very attentive to their specific needs. Sadly we are relocating out of state but I cannot recommend this program enough to anyone interested in a comprehensive jiu jitsu, striking and wrestling program for their little ones! read more

My son was enrolled in the Little Samurai class and was enjoying it, that class is for 3-5 year olds. After he turned six he was put into the kids class which is for an age range of 6- 16 years and things were very different. He did not feel safe and was not receiving the attention he or the other children his age should have been receiving and he asked if he could stop going, which was a shame since it was something he really enjoyed and this gym ruined that for him. I attempted to cancel and was told via email I would not be charged again but this company continues to charge me. Unless you want to go through this hassle I recommend starting with another gym, go elsewhere. read more

This Review reflects the customer service in regards to the kids program. I don't want to spend much time in writing my review but this is horrible customer service! Lack of professionalism!! And so greedy! We were not able to attend as much as we wanted so we decided to cancel the class in March 2022. I did sent an email with wanting to cancel. Then I got an email back asking if I would like to freeze my account instead. I asked for how long i could freeze it. They said 8 months. So we agreed. In July of 2022 I called to cancel definitely. The person that I had on the phone confirmed to that it will be fine. And they will take note. (They did not note that down in their system) NOT MY FAULT. After this, December 2022 I get a charge for $99!!!!! Like WTH. My 5 year son has not attended class in over 8 months. I did wanted to cancel and got asked BY THEEEEEMM NOT MEEE TO FREEZE INSTEAD!!!!! And then they really go ahead and charge. after calling them and telling them to refund me, since we are not coming back, they are claiming not to refund me since they have not done any mistake????? Are you serious!!! I did send a cancellation email Clearly the guy that I talked to back in July 2022 did not put that in their system Now they really want to charge $99 for not even using their gym over 9 months They are so greedy! This is not professional customer service at all. We have not taken advantage out of your gym in the last year and you go ahead and do something like that shame on you!! you have to look at the bigger picture an never taking money just because! There is a HUGE difference in being a good company with people that are trained and professional ! You are failing!!! So glad it was just a free trial ! The instructors didn't really seem in it for the little kids class !!! Literally it was just a few pe exercises and gave them a sticker at the end !!! Update: Millennia finally got back to me about cancelling. They were very happy to tell me I get to pay for March too even though my son hasn't attended since January. Apparently you need to contact them 30 days in advance to cancel. My advice yet again: just don't get started and go somewhere else. I will be reviewing my contract to make sure that is their policy and if it is then I guess I will give them another $80 for more time my son hasn't been using his membership. Thanks, Millennia. Update: It's been 9 days and still no word from the company regarding my request to cancel my son's membership. My advice - don't start a membership here. Update: I have contacted Millennia by email on Tuesday, Wednesday and Today and have not heard back regarding cancellation of my son's membership. I have also tried calling the Rancho location to make sure I emailed the correct people. I sure did. How long does it take to get back to someone? Apparently about four business days so far. I'll keep updating as my cancellation is processed. This review is about the kid's MMA program at Millennia in Rancho Cucamonga. I was excited to enroll my son about a year ago at Millennia MMA. The person who enrolled us was very nice. My son has tried a few different sports, but none of them were the right fit. I thought he would do better in an activity where he could work at his own pace and was also glad he would learn to protect himself. The first six months were actually pretty good. My son liked the instructor, Jeff a lot. Jeff was pretty hard on the kids, but he made them listen and the kids learned a lot. My son really respected Jeff. Then summer came, and my son was enrolled in day camp that conflicted with his ability to go to his MMA classes. I was pleased that I was able to pause my son's membership for two months so that he could focus on camp. That was awesome. However, when we returned in September, Jeff was gone. My son had heard that he was fired for inappropriate behavior, but I am not really sure why he left. So, in his place were a lot of different instructors. My son complained a lot about the new and different instructors because he didn't think that they knew what they were doing the way that Jeff did. Also, there is no air conditioning in the kid's area and it gets unbearably hot and smelly in there. I told him to hold on and give the new instructors a chance, but after four months of fighting my son to go to MMA I decided to cancel his membership. Trying to cancel has been difficult. I made sure when I signed up that I had an account that I could cancel anytime, because kids tend to get bored easily and I didn't want to be locked into a contract. I was assured that I would be able to cancel. However, I have contacted the company at the same email address that I contacted them when I suspended his membership but I have gotten no reply yet. I will update my review with how my cancellation went after I get it completed. I will be very happy to be rid of the $80 a month I have been paying to have my son not want to go to MMA. Just a warning - It is really hard to get ahold of people by phone at the Rancho Cucamonga location. I have called and called and get a person 1/5 times that I call. Also, you can't cancel through the gym itself. It is an outside company that you have to contact. read more

Took my 4 year old in four a trial class and he was just too young/uncoordinated to justify the cost. I planned to wait until he was 5 then begin his training. Then the non-stop phone calls started. I decided I didn't want to work with an establishment with such lil respect for my time and space. If an ex called and texted as much as this place did I'm sure the courts would grant a restraining order. Took me alot a month to block all their numbers. Can't speak for the training but the business and personal practices are flawed to say the least. Fast forward a few months and the kid is 5. I forgive them and decide I'll sign myself up along side the kid. Call in expulsion the situation and ask for pricing on a 6 month contact and 12 month contract and all they'll tell me is the kid is 10% off. 10% off what I'm not sure.... guy on the phone is insistent that I come in to review pricing again. My 4 year old joined the Little Samurai's class about a couple of months ago and loves it. He's made friends and looks forward to each class. I cannot express enough how great Coach Maraya and Coach Taylor are with the kids. With their patience, and teaching skills, the kids are learning a lot about BJJ and striking fundamentals, even if they aren't coordinated enough to learn the actual moves. Referred by a friend to this place for boxing classes. The classes were good but when I fell on hard times and needed to cancel they literally would not allow me to cancel. Every month a woman would call and I would explain that I simply could not afford the classes and I begged them to cancel and was told I could not cancel. She would even text me the same thing and charged additional amounts. I was Charged late fees on top of late fees and then it was reported to my credit. The customer service was horrible and I would not recommend this place to anyone after what I've experienced with them. read more

I love this place. It is a lot more affordable than most places I know and coaches are great. Everyone is super friendly. From staff to other members. I saw a review taking about not turning on the AC, that's the best part. Horrible costumer service. We arrived at 1015, watched the previous class end, and sat waiting for our 1030 Beginners MMA Class Not one person said or announced anything about the next class. No one asked if we were there for the 1030 class or anything. Finally after 30 minutes I got up and asked if the class was still on? Girl upfront said yah. The instructor is right there. He was sitting in the corner chatting away w his buddy. He's like " yah, glove up and warm up on the bag" Like My son knows how to warm up! How bout a little instruction in this " Beginners MMA" class coach. Finally after watching my son punch away at the bag for 20 minutes, still with no instruction or direction from the " instructor " I had enough. We left. I started training with Javier Vasquez in 2006. When Javier began teaching at Millennia, I joined up there in 2008. I spent almost 2 years there and it was the best experience ever. First and foremost, Millennia is a TRUE MMA school. It is owned by former pro fighters that have since retired and are giving back to the sport by training others. Unlike other MMA gyms that are owned by current pro fighters, this gym is more interested in training YOU than their own personal endeavors. The instructors will take a personal interest in your training if you put in the effort. Millennia hosts its own BJJ tournaments, Muay Thai smokers, and MMA events. They personally mentored me when training for my first BJJ tournament and my Muay Thai instructor, William Syriapai, set up my first Muay Thai smoker fight. He personally arranged for all of us to train and fight. The instructors did all of this extra work, for free. Because they care. They currently host over a dozen current pro fighters that are currently or have fought in the UFC, Bellator, and WSOF. This is one of the best gyms in the region and the nation. This is the place to go if you are in any stage of your martial arts training. I had barely any skills and I was able to compete thanks to their mentoring. I can't say enough good things about this gym. I had to leave late in 2009 because I moved to Sacramento. I started training at Urijah Faber's gym, and it was a total nightmare. To this day I wish I was still in SoCal training with the great instructors and the great group of people there. Unlike other MMA gyms, the Pro fighters will mentor you, train with you, and befriend you. It is a community there and they have proven without a shadow of a doubt that every second, drop of sweat, smear of blood, and every penny spent was worth it. I have done their morning boxing class which is great and always do the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) class from 10 am - 12 pm which is amazing! Coach Romie Aram knows his stuff.
