Blue belt graduation, yeah!!! Much thanks Shifu Yanyi Shi, You're the best!!!!

Our kids have taken taekwondo for 3 years, and karate 2 years. Comparing to shaolin Kungfu Shifu Yanyi Shi really showed his passion and care for the progress of the students, any age. True spirit of martial art really shines thru his teaching.

My son is a 1st Dan black belt in Taekwondo and my wife just started him here last September and he loves it. He especially like Shifu and his teaching style because he's says it's more challenging than And more discipline than Taekwondo. This coming from a 8 years old is quite surprising to me lol but I love it. He loves it so much he won't go back to Taekwondo because he said it was too easy for him. I had a chance to do thru some of the classes Shifu taught and love how discipline he is. Class size is small and he's very attentive to his students since he's the one that's teaching them directly. Overall, I highly recommend.

I have been training under coach of master Yanyi for one years and half. It is very worth for each class I came. There are a lot things to learn and never enough for me, such as self defense , sparing , kungfu form, meditations, etc. Master Yanyi is very friendly and easy person for beginner and you won't get any trouble if you start with zero.

INCREDIBLE!!! I am currently in Blue Belt, here, and Shifu is so nice! He is in a way, firm, strict, but very patient all at the same time. You can learn so much about flexibility, getting stronger, and precision. There are many fun things included in the higher belt levels including, stick, fan, spears, sword, and more. Total, there are 9 belt levels, plus the beginner level with no belt..so technically 10. The prices are great, and you go twice a week. He also has privates available as well on request, where you can pay extra for an extra lesson alone, where you really do learn a lot. I say that STKF is a really perfect thing for kids that need to let out their energy, and is so much fun! I love it and so do my three younger siblings:)

Both of my boys had a privilege to train with Master Shi Yanyi for almost 6 years (@Shaolin Cultural Center in Temple City) and the boys loved him. With his expertise in original Shaolin Hand Forms and Weapons, Sparring and Flipping and many more...Master Shi Yanyi uses his heart and soul patiently training his students. I (personally) and other parents never had have any doubts about his teaching because we know our kids are trained by a true & humble Shaolin Master. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have a taste of an Authentic Shaolin Kung Fu. This definitely is a place to try

Large student base and it keeps growing!

Instructor is the real deal. The kids sparing sessions are actual, on the street style boxing.

The atmosphere is positive, family friendly, and focused on helping every student improve, regardless of experience level. The coaching is outstanding. Daniel trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA, while I train in Muay Thai. Since joining, we've both improved tremendously. Daniel has elevated his grappling and overall fight game, and my striking, conditioning, and confidence have improved significantly. One of the biggest highlights has been watching Daniel's progress. Since training at Strength And Honor MMA, he has won multiple Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and continues to grow as a competitor. More importantly, he has become more confident, disciplined, respectful, and resilient. The coaches do an incredible job developing both skills and character. My Muay Thai training has also been an amazing experience. The instruction is technical, challenging, and practical. Every class pushes me to improve while keeping a positive and supportive atmosphere. If you're looking for top quality instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, or MMA, I highly recommend Strength And Honor MMA. Whether your goal is competition, fitness, self defense, or helping your child build confidence and discipline, this is an outstanding place to train.

A Great Experience for Absolute Beginners…read more As someone with absolutely no experience in martial arts, I was initially very nervous about joining, but my experience has been fantastic! I've taken five fundamental classes so far: 4 MMA classes 1 Jiu-Jitsu class 1 Kickboxing Cardio class Why I Recommend It: Well-Organized Curriculum The curriculum is structured in a way that's perfect for beginners. Each class builds on the basics, making it easy to follow along and feel confident even if you've never stepped foot in a martial arts gym before. Supportive Coaches The coaches are incredibly skilled at teaching newcomers. They break things down clearly and provide personal attention to make sure everyone is comfortable. It's clear that they're passionate about helping people learn, regardless of experience level. Friendly & Welcoming Environment From the coaches to the other students, the gym creates a warm and supportive atmosphere. Everyone is kind and encouraging, which made it easy for me to feel at ease and motivated. Concerns Before Joining & How They Were Addressed: No Experience & Adapting to the New Environment I was nervous about fitting in, but the well-organized curriculum and the coaches' experience with beginners helped me adjust quickly. The environment is friendly, and everyone is willing to help out! Concerns About Smells As someone who's sensitive to smells, I was a little worried about the cleanliness of the gym. But I was pleasantly surprised to find that they clean thoroughly between classes, so there's no need to worry about unpleasant odors. I have been attending for about seven months, and I can honestly say I don't have enough words to…read moreexpress my appreciation for Master Lee and his great team, whom I see as my family. S Martial Arts means a lot in my life because it has taught me to be strong, to be more resilient, to better control my emotions, and not to be weak. My experience at S Martial Arts has been wonderful. I started as a white belt, and now that I am close to earning my purple belt, I feel as if I am almost at an intermediate level. I have seen my progress in feeling more confident in myself, and I feel much more flexible than before thanks to the stretches we do in class. I especially noticed this improvement when performing high kicks. Each class begins with warm-up exercises and stretching, then we work with partners to practice techniques such as roundhouse kicks, Taekwondo forms, how to react to attacks, and personal defense. We also do some gymnastics, like front rolls and cartwheels, and a bit of kickboxing, including punches and back kicks. The classes involve a lot of cardio, especially during sparring. I also want to mention that I used to be a somewhat antisocial and shy person, and I felt embarrassed performing in public, especially when I didn't feel familiar with the people around me. Before my first belt test, I shared these fears and feelings of embarrassment with Master Lee. He told me not to worry. On the day of my belt test, Master Lee had already planned everything so that it would go well for me. He had me focus only on him, not on my classmates, since they were behind me and I couldn't see them. This helped me a lot because I didn't feel like everyone was watching me. Another unforgettable moment was when I couldn't break the wooden boards for the first time. What Master Lee did was incredible. When he saw that I couldn't break them, he asked my classmates to come together and create drum-like sounds by clapping their hands on a table. Then he came up to me and said, "Now try breaking the boards again." By listening to those drum sounds made by my classmates, I was able to break the boards with great strength. At first, I didn't understand how this worked just by listening to the sounds. Later, out of curiosity, I learned that it is a technique related to unblocking energy, where classmates send their energy to the person whose energy is blocked. This experience reminded me a lot of a scene from Karate Kid II, when Daniel LaRusso fights Chozen Toguchi. Daniel is exhausted and almost defeated, when suddenly Mr. Miyagi asks the audience to play a small hand drum called a Den Daiko. By listening to the collective sound of the drum, Daniel regains his balance and energy and is able to defeat Chozen. After this experience, I felt much more confident and learned that I don't need to think that everyone is watching me in public. I learned to overcome embarrassment, fear, and shyness. Master Lee is a great teacher who uses traditional techniques learned in his home country, Korea. More than that, he is a humble, responsible, and respectful person who teaches you to overcome fear using techniques that are not harsh or aggressive. Because of all the experiences I've had in his class over these months, I feel like I am part of a family. I feel very proud to train with a true traditional Korean master. He is understanding and caring with his students and always promotes respect, humility, and the importance of fighting for what you want. I highly recommend taking classes with Master Lee and living this beautiful experience of growth and strength through the martial art of Taekwondo.
