I rarely write reviews and have never written two reviews for the same company. But, Millennium Pool Service certainly deserves another outstanding mention! As I noted in my first review, every individual I've dealt with at Millennium has sincerely cared about me as a customer. My previous pool service company let me down and I found myself looking for someone smack in the middle of the busiest time of the year for this type of business. Millennium didn't blink, was extremely responsive, and accommodated me as if I had been working with them for years! Thanks to them, my pool time this summer was salvaged and I was confident that the pool and equipment were working as they should. But, I must stress it is really about the people and I cannot say enough about how wonderful Barbora is! It's been raining non-stop this year and the yard was a mess. I'm sure schedules were backed-up, but Barbora showed-up on the date promised and spent over an hour cleaning, balancing chemicals and checking the pool equipment on one of the hottest and most humid days of the season! She provided me with clear and very sound advice, gave me options (instead of trying to sell me more services) and went above and beyond expectations to ensure that the pool could be enjoyed to the maximum as fast as possible. The fact that my pup adores Barbora and Barbora was sweet enough to give her a good scratch behind he ears was just icing on the cake. Because of people like Barbora and Nicole (in the office), I see myself being a Millennium customer for the long-haul. I hired Millennium Pools to do a major renovation (pipes, deck, plaster, coping, tile). As a rule I do not post reviews, but this time I was compelled to share my experience. The estimate process went well. The job items were well described and priced fairly. The estimator (Dan) was responsive to my questions and worked with me to select the technical specifications and the finish items, and come up with the overall plan. The job was done by a mixture of own Millennium crew and subcontractors. The Millennium crew (DJ being the foreman) was very meticulous, attentive to detail and did a fine job. They and the subcontractors were supervised by Duane who was really good at making sure the job was well done. I found Millennium Pools management very responsive. The phone calls, texts and emails were promptly replied to and what is even more important resulted in resolution of any issue I brought up, to my satisfaction. Ricardo had a tough job of scheduling the work during the busy spring season, but somehow made it work. Kirk promptly resolved all my requests, even personally coming to my site. And again, Duane (the superintendent) frequently came in early, left late, personally did some more complex parts of the job, followed up to make sure things were fine and always went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the end product. Time will tell how well the job holds up. But from my interaction with the company so far it seems that Millennium Pools will stand behind the product. We selected Millennium to build a pool in our backyard, after interviewing a few builders. From the first phone call requesting a quote, we knew Millennium was special. Initially we dealt with Stan, he listened to what we wanted, answered our questions about the proposal. He never made us feel like we were wasting his time. Once the contract was signed we moved on to the actual design phase. Chris and Hank knew the codes, the set backs, and when we started to dream too big would make suggestions that kept in line with what we had room for and what we wanted. Once the permits were issued we were handed off to another Chris who was our project manager. He was so patient with our numerous re-designs of the steps and to waiting for us to pick a waterline tile. He was always available to answer the phone with scheduling questions, etc. When we were away he'd text/email updates at the end of the day. During construction, it's messy, it's muddy, it's loud and your backyard looks awful. The crews never left trash for us to clean up, materials were organized and never left strewn all over the place. I never heard foul language, and everyone was just very nice. Once our pool was completed, we still had a few good days to swim and every service was followed up with an email about what was completed, notes on the condition/chemicals and even pictures. Millennium Pools took care of our pool before we were owners of our house. The pool was closed for a few years before we purchased the house. I am new to in-ground pools. I wanted knowledgeable service. I received multiple estimates for pool service. Millennium was very affordable. I chose Millennium because of price and their intimate knowledge of my pool. For the last few years, Paul has been the contact point for my pool. Affable, available, and able, Paul answered all my pool questions. We received consistently wonderful pool service at a great price. I am writing this review because of an unexpected problem. A 150 year old tree was removed near our pool. The tree removal equipment destroyed our grass. The recent heavy rains caused a mudslide into our pool; there was literally 2 inches of mud around our pool and more inside our pool. I expected to have to pump out the pool and replace the water. This is not a normal pool issue (photos attached). Donnie spearheaded the project. Donnie and his team went the extra mile even coming to our pool on a non-scheduled day. We are swimming in a beautifully cleaned pool. I congratulate Mr. Gregory Courtois for assembling a team such as Paul and Donnie. Over the years, I have recommended Millennium Pool Service to my friends. Millennium pool saved day with quality work. Ricardo was a great project manager and Daniel speced the job and dealt with any issues that came up. The original pool company I hired never showed up and spent 2.5 months coming up with excuses as to why nothing was getting done. After they emptied my pool the never came back, and it was apparent they could not do the job. Afted I fired them I scrambled to find another company in hopes of saving my summer. I researchee several companies and got three quotes. Millennium quote was competetive (and sometimes lower), but they stood out as the most knowledgeable and with good advise on how to proceed. Plus they picked up the phone every time I called to answer all my questions before entering the contract, and after. They were and are exceptionable on this point. The work got done on schedule as they promised, which again is unusual in the pool renovation business. I had the pool entirely refinished with diamond Brite, and they did a fantastic job. It came out better than I had envisioned. And they explained how best to care for the plaster in the first few months which is critical to longevity of the plaster, and no other company even mentioned these issues. We have had a pool now for 12 years. I have used two other local pool companies and have been disappointed. Two summers ago we needed to replace the in ground vinyl liner for our pool. I contacted our current pool service company and was appalled both by the outrageous price, and by how long we would have to wait to have the work done. I started calling around for help, and I am thankful that I found Millennium Pools. Their staff was great. They were at my house installing the liner and filling the pool for two days. It looks fantastic. I decided to switch to Millennium for our regular service, as well as all openings and closing. This year opening our pool was a challenge. For the first time, we had leaves that had remained on the permeable cover and the pool was a mess. I could not have cleaned it myself. Millennium sent Finn and his crew out to my house. Since Finn closed our pool in the fall, he was just as shocked at the amount of dirt that was in the bottom of the pool as we were. Finn came out to our house three times. The first to access the situation and begin the process. The second time to use their commercial vacuum system to clean up the mess. And then he came out a third time to make sure that the pool was clean. I cannot tell you how nice it is to have a company care so much about customer service. A giant 'thank you' to Millennium Pool Service. We recently purchased a home with a pool in Fairfax. We engaged a pool company for full service - opening, closing, weekly maintenance, and repairs. We got a ball stuck in the vacuum line. Our company came out, said they needed a tool which they did not have and charged us $134 to do nothing. Not sure why they even needed a visit when they have been to our property dozens of times. Millennium Pool Service to the rescue! Finn, their lead service technician, is the bomb! He found the ball in the bucket - it had passed through as my husband had done something creative with the wet vacuum we had last night. To my incredible delight, Finn also put a cage on the vacuum hole in the pool so it wouldn't happen again! Kat, another technician, was on the service call as well as she was delightful. Both Finn and Kat were professional, easy to chat with, and very dog friendly. Believe it or not, Millennium Pool company had a similar response time to our cry for help as our current pool service who we were hoping would be a 'one stop shop'. Pools are expensive. We knew this when we bought the home. Through this experience we have learned a lot about Millennium Pool Service's commitment to pool service, even those outside of its current customer base. Damien and his helper from Millennium Pools were extremely helpful and professional. They showed up when promised, repaired the leak previously identified as well as another one. They also poured new concrete in the area that had to be dug up so that it matched and looked professionally done. Upon completion they left the area very clean, practically undisturbed. The pool needed water added before it could be run so the following Sunday when it was filled enough I had trouble getting the pump/return to start up properly. Damien not only took my phone call but spent a good amount of time walking me through the steps he could without being there. When I still couldn't get it working he offered to come by the following day after his already scheduled stops. In the meantime my husband came home and was able to find the problem. The guys were very informative and great to work with. The only negative thing I have to say is that it doesn't appear that the office is very communicative with the field techs. I was quite disturbed to have the guys come out and perform the same tests the estimator did for $350.00 to find the leak which took about 15 mins because they were not told what needed to be done. So I give the guys 5 stars and the office 3 because the lady in the office was very helpful as well. read more

I started using Milennium pool service this season and I been so happy with the level of their service. I would of given them a 10 stars . I had two other companies serviced my pool for the last two years and every time they finished cleaning and leave. I would have to clean up after them . I hated doing that and I was determined to find a company that would clean my pool well enough that I don't have to clean up after them . Milennium pool is the company . Dimitar was fantastic !!! He takes his time to make sure my pool is in perfect condition. Yani the operational manager was wonderful . She respond to all situations with calm and logical manner . She would schedule everything and plan out all the cleaning/ maintance for you that you don't have to think twice. You will get your monies worth if you sign up with them for the season. They will supply with all the chemicals that you don't even have to stock them if you don't want to . Charles in the repair team took care of a broken handle of my filter like a pro !! He come over the same day so I don't have to worry and lose any sleep !! I appreciated everyone's professionalism... Millieum pool service is really wonderful , I just wish I found them earlier !!! I'm a repeat customer for 4 years and will let nobody but Finn and Millennium Pools service our pool! We moved in 4 years ago to an older home with a 20 year old neglected pool. Millenium not only helped us get the pool running smoothly again but answered all of our questions, teaching me more with every service. My favorite aspect of dealing with Millennium Pools is Finn the technician. I love the consistency of knowing who's coming not to mention Finns the best, a master of pool service. 4 years ago other pool companies had us dumping chemical after chemical into the pool to solve our issues but with one visit from Finn he pinpointed the real issue and I've been using Millennium ever since. This morning our pool was opened and it was crystal clear with in a hour. That's because it was closed properly! He knows our pool inside and out and keeps a working knowledge of past services in his head. He remembers we are in well water, knows when the sand filter was cleaned, and what's been done to what part. I trust nobody else other than Finn with our Pool. I am beyond thrilled and impressed at the quality of work for our swimming pool renovation provided so far by Millennium Pools and Spas of Springfield. Supervised by Yan and Elmer, our foreman Selvin and his workers have been here everyday for the past three weeks moving a featureless and very dated 35 year old vinyl liner pool from an exceedingly ugly nine foot deep pool to a 6 1/2 foot pool with fresh new stainless steel coping, a precisely installed Buddy Bench, newly installed stairs, demolishing the old concrete pool deck while preserving the plumbing from the old skimmers, and installing brand new skimmers in their place. This was a great deal of hard work, most of it needing a lot of skill and care. These guys looked like they were working on their own pool. We await the electrical permit from the county after which they can pour the new decks and install the new hand rail & liner. I will update this review with before & after photos when they are all done. But based on the care and quality of work they have done so far, they deserve my highest and most enthusiastic recommendation. As a new pool owner with an old pool set up, I called Millennium to close my pool last fall. They were very accommodating and sent Finn on an October Saturday so I did not have to take off from work. Finn not only did an excellent job closing the pool but he answered my slew of questions with patience and enthusiasm. In addition, we followed Finn's advice on periodic pool maintenance over the winter. The experience was so positive that rather than plan to do the opening ourselves, we recently booked Millennium to open our pool only if Finn was available. In preparation for the opening, I bought new chemicals to prep the pool, but I could not remember how to properly apply them. So I called Finn. He offered to stop by and show me on the weekend, convenience for my work schedule once again. When he came by, he partially opened up the pool to put the chemicals in. I was expecting to see a green swamp of algae, instead the water was clear enough to easily see the bottom in the deep end. I credit Finn's winter maintenance advice for this. My wife and I are very happy with Millennium and recommend them to anyone. We can't wait until it is warm enough to use the pool. read more

I had the following work done by Millennium last week. New sand filter, new multi-port valve, fiberglass repaired, and had the pool opened. The install of the new system was great, everything was well though out in the placement of the multi-port valve. Duane and his crew we're as friendly as they were effective in patching up the crack in the side of my pool for a permanent fix. They took the time needed to not only do it properly but to make sure the patch work was painted to be the closest color match. The pool opening could have been better because when he vacuumed it was not effective due to leaves caught in the vac head. To be fair he did brush it but in the woods that does not get it done. Shortly after the opening I had an issue with my pump and Andrew sent out Tyre. Tyre not only got the pump going but re-brushed the pool and said Andrew would have another crew out to vacuum the pool. He went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of and taught me some maintenance tips. Overall I am very happy with the quality of work but what pleases me most is that when there was an issue they made it right. That is why Millennium Pool has my business. read more

I became a Millennium customer about 3 years ago when I wanted to renovate my pool. They resurfaced my pool and replaced the tile at that time. They also replaced my concrete pool deck. I was really pleased with the renovation - it was such a huge improvement! I was so impressed with them during renovation that they took over all servicing including opening, weekly service, and closing. This past fall, I began a final renovation to remove very dated natural rock edge and flagstone coping. The final design Dan helped me come up with included a raised wall with travertine veneer and zero clearance waterfalls and travertine coping. It took a bit of time for everything to arrive and be installed, but the end result was worth the wait - it looks amazing! Ryan installed the pump mechanism for the waterfall and ensured that the system was working properly. He was incredibly diligent while encountering several obstacles including shallow irrigation lines. Ryan was such a pleasure to work with and really took the time to keep me apprised of the status of the work and resolution of problems. Wow! My family and I just signed a lease for a home that has a pool. We knew nothing about taking care of a pool but were really excited to find a pool service that could help get the pool going and help educate us on what to do. I called 3 different places to get estimated costs on openings and see if they could come look at the pool since it hadn't been used for a few years. The first place told me the motor didn't work and the pool was likely to have major issues. The second place lifted the cover and talked about how the pool needed to be possibly drained, a new liner, ect ect. The third place wanted $125 just to come out. Thank god for Millennium! Finn & the Check man came, had the motor running, cleared up the water and gave us loads of direction on our next steps. These two were so polite, patient and provided some of the best customer service I have seen in a long time. We called Millennium because we had a leaking pump that was also taking in air. From start to finish, they provided excellent service. The people who handle the phones are prompt, polite, and a pleasure to deal with. The service manager, Andrew, while busy because it was the start of the pool season, took the time to review emails & photos concerning our issue so that we could have an estimated cost of repair before they even came out. Dan B., who came out to to do the work was excellent. The repair was done under a warranty plan not associated with Millennium. Yet, he patiently explained (repeatedly) to the warranty service what needed to be done and, in the end, the entire repair was covered. He was prompt, efficient and completed the work in a neat and professional manner. He also was kind enough to answer questions we had about the equipment that were unrelated to the pump repair (we're new to pool ownership). We will continue relying on Millennium to service our pool equipment in the future. Very highly recommend. read more

Finn is the way to go! We had our pool opened for the season by a couple other workers from Millennium and they weren't able to open the pool due to our water being incredibly low due to a possible leak in our light. So they said somebody else would come out the next day! We noticed that our water bags and cover were not put up properly & there were still plugs in our returns, & they threw the backwash hose into the water which we found out was not the brightest idea. The next day they sent Finn and his younger partner I think his name was Harran, don't really remember. They came and corrected EVERYTHING THAT WAS WRONG! They worked so fast and carried convo that when they left I was blown away! He told us we needed a new multi port valve and he'd be back in 2 days to install that and our inline chlorinator. When he arrived he was super excited and laughing! Every time he came he just throughly seemed like he enjoyed what he is doing! He installed everything and got our pool up! Millennium Pool Service, opened and closed my pool in 2015. I had a few issues as I have had with several pool companies. I did not write a review at that time because of past experiences. My major compliant with most pool companies was lack of response once the season had started. I called about the issues with Millennium, and to my surprise I was called by the owner Hank. My issues were resolved within one week. This response prompted me to hire them to install a new heater and new pump. They made sure everything was working properly. Finn Hanserud and assistant open my pool today April 25,2016, they check my entire system, and aside form 4 jets which need to be replaced, and Finn said they would replaced them tomorrow. This is my first review for anyone, yet alone a pool company. I feel comfortable writing this review, because this pool company is definitely respectful, customer service oriented, and professional.
