Absolutely Outstanding Customer Service!…read more First, I want to say how incredibly appreciative I am of Nelson and Hayden for their outstanding customer service. These two guys went above and beyond to help me with some finance paperwork issues involving an employee who had recently left and unfortunately left them in the dark about what was going on. From the very beginning, Nelson and Hayden were professional, patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They took the time to work through everything with me and made a situation that could have been very stressful so much easier. You just don't find customer service like this every day! If you're looking for a place where you'll be treated right and actually have people who care about helping you, I highly recommend going here. And if you need anything, ask for Nelson or Hayden. These two are absolutely top-notch and the best of the best! 100% customer satisfaction is clearly their top priority, and they definitely earned my 5-star review. I truly appreciate everything they did for me!

It's endless BS with these clowns when I schedule APPOINTMENTS to get my oil changed and tires rotated. They have zero respect for my time, and it clear that appointments mean nothing to them, and neither does customer satisfaction Since there were no decent Saturday appointments available, that I could drop my car off and come back, I scheduled one for 7:45 Friday morning. I got there 5 minutes early, got it checked in and was told it would be an hour to an hour and half at most. I received a text from the service manager telling me I could text for update at any time. I texted him at 9:15 for an update and got no response. Why offer this if you're not going to respond? With the newly renovated waiting area I could see the car was finally pulled into the shop until 9:25...an hour and 40 minutes after my appointment was scheduled for. At that point i went out to the speak with the service manger to see why it was so delayed and he gave me some BS excuse that appointments start at 6....i still have no idea what means, I can see they have more than one mechanic and more than one service bay, don't take appointments if you can keep them. It's truly never ending with these people once my prepaid service plan is done, so is my business with this dealer. They are not worth the headache! My car was finally pulled out of the shop at 10. If it only takes 35 minutes, I could have been out of there by 8:30

I had a very difficult HVAC problem on my 2015 Ford Mustang EcoBoost with dual-zone automatic…read moreclimate control. The driver's side would only blow cold air when the heat was on. Another Ford dealership had previously replaced the driver's side blend door actuator under warranty, which seemed to fix the issue for a while, but the problem eventually returned. When the issue came back, Green Ford was able to get my car in the same day without an appointment, while another dealership couldn't even look at it for over a week. That alone made a huge difference. After diagnosing the problem, they determined that the HVAC assembly needed to be replaced. Instead of pressuring me into an expensive repair, they waived the diagnostic fee and encouraged me to get a second opinion. They even let me take the car at no charge so I could have another shop verify the diagnosis. I took it to an independent repair shop, Randall's Tire & Auto Repair, where an experienced technician spent time diagnosing the system. He independently came to the same conclusion after replacing an actuator, clearing fault codes, and physically verifying that an internal blend door inside the HVAC housing had failed. That gave me confidence that Green Ford's diagnosis was accurate. When I returned to Green Ford, James Monteleone honored the original drive-off price we had discussed--$3,500 out the door with no surprise taxes or shop fees added later. They also gave me an additional credit because the independent shop had already replaced one of the actuators that would have been replaced during the repair anyway. Their warranty on this repair is also excellent: 2 years with unlimited mileage on both parts and labor, which provided peace of mind on such a major repair. After the HVAC assembly replacement, I noticed a problem with the airflow mode door. Instead of making excuses, James immediately acknowledged that it wasn't operating correctly. The dealership diagnosed a faulty mode door actuator, ordered the replacement part, and replaced it at no charge under warranty. While the car was back in the shop, I also mentioned that my sunglasses holder no longer opened. They found it had simply come off track and repaired it without any issue. I also asked them to check why the ventilated seats had stopped working. Their technician performed additional diagnostics, documented the problem with photos, identified a burned electrical connector and an offline climate seat control module, and provided me with a detailed estimate. They were transparent about what they found, and I appreciated knowing exactly what the issue was even though I decided to postpone that repair. Throughout this entire process, James kept me informed, answered my questions, arranged transportation when needed, and treated me with professionalism and respect. On a repair this large and complicated, good communication makes all the difference. No one enjoys spending thousands of dollars on a major repair, but when it became clear that my Mustang needed an HVAC assembly, Green Ford handled the situation the right way. They welcomed a second opinion, stood behind their work, honored their pricing, took care of follow-up warranty issues without hesitation, and earned my trust throughout the process. I especially want to thank James Monteleone for his excellent customer service and communication. If you have a difficult HVAC or climate control problem on your Ford, I would not hesitate to recommend Green Ford's service department.

The problem was not fixed and they didn't even do the oil change that I requested. Also their phone system is awful with the AI. My experience buying a car from this Carmax was a mixed bag to be sure. This isn't my first time…read morebuying through a Carmax. It's a fine option for a person who doesn't really need to be "sold" a car, rather someone who has done all their own research on what they want to buy, has a price in mind, and just wants to go get it without too much hassle. There are some advantages to buying here, like the ability to bring it back within 10 days for a full refund, and not having to haggle. If you like the price, you buy the car, if you don't, you move on. Disadvantages of course, are pretty much that the salesman is not super motivated to sell you a car, and is therefore not going to be very knowledgeable about whatever car you roll up about and want to look at. This is fine for me, I knew what I wanted, and I got it. It wasn't without difficulty however. The specific car I wanted had to come in from Georgia, which I paid a transfer fee for. It was supposed to take 3-5 days, it ended up being over 2 weeks. This left us short a car for awhile, as we had already given up the other car based on their timeline. They did refund the transfer fee, so that made it partially right, but I say this to not take their word on their timelines. My second complaint, is that the transaction took WAY TOO LONG inside Carmax, especially given I had already filled out most paperwork in advance. The person helping us seemed pretty new, and she kept having to get up and ask other associates questions. She also was not very observant, we were pointing out things on the screen that she was missing. She really should have had someone looking over her shoulder to help, as she was not ready to be on her own. Finally, it's a good thing I advocated for myself and knew to check for certain things. Our new car is a plug in hybrid, and the car was supposed to come with a charging cable. It was not in the car anywhere, but with a little persistence they gave me one from their service center. Carmax does do a thorough inspection on the cars they sell, and actually, the independent shop I brought the car to said they've not had many problems with Carmax missing things. In my case that held true, their Volvo certified mechanic found nothing wrong with my car mechanically, and said it appears to have been well maintained and serviced. He did find a very small windshield chip, which Carmax fixed free of charge without any complaint. Would I buy another car from Carmax? I would, but I am someone who just needs someone to facilitate the transaction, I'm savvy enough to know the car on my own and do my own research. I wouldn't recommend Carmax as a place for the inexperienced buyer.

car returned less than a week later!!!!…read more andrew was the sales guy. had an appointment for 10am. my uncle and i test drove the car. i really liked the car. got the paperwork started. after i left, andrew and i communicated via text message. told him i would come back between 5pm-6pm to pick the car up. this would give carmax time to clean the car and have it ready. i left carmax around 11:30am. that's over 5 hours before my appointment to pick up the car. got dropped off and how about the car is still sitting in the exact same spot as i parked it when i did the test drive. not cleaned at all and they thought i was going to accept that!!! andrew was still there when i arrived. how about he did not acknowledge me at all. did not apologize, nothing!!! other carmax associates apologized. ray came and personally apologized and told me he would definitely have the car ready saturday by 12pm and they paid for a lyft to take me home and pick me up. i sent an email to the sales manager, tristan about the situation and how dissappointed i was with how andrew handled the situation. not professional at all and if it had not been for ray, i would have took my check and went elsewhere. when i picked the car up ray met me outside and made sure i was satisfied. i have not bought a car in over 16 years. the car is a 2021 so of course i want to make sure everything is fine with it. i have 10 days and if i'm not completely satisfied i can return the car. it was not my plan to return the car. i took the car to the honda dealership to make sure everything was good. they sent me a video saying a main concern was the control arms and the sway bar needing to be fixed. i took the car back to carmax and showed them the work order and video. chad in the service department said it was covered under my warranty. i left the car over night and patiently waited for carmax to call me back. i ended up calling them back the next day when it was going on 4pm and i had not heard anything yet. spoke with chad and he said that the service manager and technician looked at the car and said the parts are not failing and the only thing they did was change the air filters. they didn't even want to rotate the tires. my uncle and i went to carmax and talked with the service manager and sales manager. showed him the video where honda clearly stated that the control arms were a major concern. after about 30-45 minutes of my uncle and i talking with the sales and service manager, they finally agreed to fix it but with after market parts! i would not have known where the parts came from. junk yard, auto zone, who knows where! after all that, i was so done with carmax and their messiness, i gave them back that car. a week of mess!!!! brian, a sales associate was very nice and told me, he completely understands. he said, "you got to make sure it's right" brian started the return paper work and took me to the service department where barry was. barry had an attitude from start and acted like it was a bother and inconvenience for him to do the return paper work. then he is on the phone with the credit union and yells loudly "he needs a 15 day" which was so unnecessary! not professional at all!!! i will never step foot at the greensboro carmax on 3412 w wendover ave, ever again!!! i returned the car way before my 10 days was up. they give us 10 days but want to take their time handling their part. 30 days later. i ended up calling corporate in virginia. don't waste your time going to that carmax!!! if it wasn't for ray and brian i wouldn't even of came back when the car was not even cleaned!!! do better carmax!!!

We found our car experience to be very pleasant with no pressure. No haggling, we were both that close on expectations. It was true relationship building for the long-term. We worked with Ian Newton, a perfect fit for us. We thought we wanted the GX platform. Too big at this stage of our life. But it rides nice! The RX looked like it was going to make the cut. Great ride, but we needed a little bigger for Tabitha---our dog. This platform will become Tabby's Cabby. We are picking up our TX350 later today. It has all the reasonable bells and whistles we need. The flexibility makes it safe for all of us during our longer rides. The new technology can be overwhelming. And this is where your knowledgeable sales consultant makes the deal: Ian has been amazing demonstrating how to maximize this product to our mission. We both have enjoyed working with him to identify the right vehicle to satisfy safety and comfort. We met Ryan after we made our decision. He is very knowledgeable with the product. I liked our "fact-based" price discussions. He "sold" us with the Service Department. His words: "You will spend more time with our service department over the years than with us." A very true statement. I have my own great mechanic team; however, there is a lot of value (many times really required for warranty compliance) in having a dedicated service team that is good with their craft. If you are thinking about a Lexus, get on Ian's schedule to help you with your next car.
