They will keep your money and take you through loops and zig zags to get it back. Even with full proof that the money was never returned. If you can spare to hold with cash and return with cash that'll be your best bet. If I didn't call back to ask for my hold fee. They would've never given it back. They have screened my calls and given me the runaround for days now. If the bank is telling you that the transaction never satisfied the account then why are you still saying you refunded my account when it's not there. Second the customer service is horrible. On my pick up day. Leonard, Hamze and their boss are horrible. Gave me a half ass detail on the car they sold to me. I mean what can you expect from shitty ppl. I could potentially be a future customer again or even spread word about this dealership if they actually have good customer service. After seeing how there boss doesn't say anything or make his place of business pleasant it trickles down to the office. We We're sitting in his office doing paperwork and he doesn't say two words to me. He then walks out of the office and doesn't say anything. Then Hamze walks in and tries to pressure me into doing a document that I clearly said I would do without him doing so, because if you guys wanted to do it then you would have charged me to do the same thing. I came to get the car and hand you the check. That's it! Got a whole check but can't refund me my holding Fee. I Repeat Stay away from Triad Imports! Your claims not adding up Triad Imports. Fix it!

My experience buying a car from this Carmax was a mixed bag to be sure. This isn't my first time…read morebuying through a Carmax. It's a fine option for a person who doesn't really need to be "sold" a car, rather someone who has done all their own research on what they want to buy, has a price in mind, and just wants to go get it without too much hassle. There are some advantages to buying here, like the ability to bring it back within 10 days for a full refund, and not having to haggle. If you like the price, you buy the car, if you don't, you move on. Disadvantages of course, are pretty much that the salesman is not super motivated to sell you a car, and is therefore not going to be very knowledgeable about whatever car you roll up about and want to look at. This is fine for me, I knew what I wanted, and I got it. It wasn't without difficulty however. The specific car I wanted had to come in from Georgia, which I paid a transfer fee for. It was supposed to take 3-5 days, it ended up being over 2 weeks. This left us short a car for awhile, as we had already given up the other car based on their timeline. They did refund the transfer fee, so that made it partially right, but I say this to not take their word on their timelines. My second complaint, is that the transaction took WAY TOO LONG inside Carmax, especially given I had already filled out most paperwork in advance. The person helping us seemed pretty new, and she kept having to get up and ask other associates questions. She also was not very observant, we were pointing out things on the screen that she was missing. She really should have had someone looking over her shoulder to help, as she was not ready to be on her own. Finally, it's a good thing I advocated for myself and knew to check for certain things. Our new car is a plug in hybrid, and the car was supposed to come with a charging cable. It was not in the car anywhere, but with a little persistence they gave me one from their service center. Carmax does do a thorough inspection on the cars they sell, and actually, the independent shop I brought the car to said they've not had many problems with Carmax missing things. In my case that held true, their Volvo certified mechanic found nothing wrong with my car mechanically, and said it appears to have been well maintained and serviced. He did find a very small windshield chip, which Carmax fixed free of charge without any complaint. Would I buy another car from Carmax? I would, but I am someone who just needs someone to facilitate the transaction, I'm savvy enough to know the car on my own and do my own research. I wouldn't recommend Carmax as a place for the inexperienced buyer.

Check engine light was fixed but still has the trans slip. Took it to a different garage and they felt the issue right away. Currently waiting to see what the carmax warranty wants to do to resolve the issue. Not sure a dealer can have a car for 6 weeks and not feel the trans slip and you take it to a separate garage and they notice it right away.

He informed me that he would be off but Andrew would assist me. I drove an hour and half the next day to look at two different trucks. Andrew was very friendly and helpful. The process went very smooth. I was in and out in a matter of hours. The only complaint that I have is after the fact. It became obvious to me that the garage, Taylors Tire, that does the work for Rick's used cars either misleads them about the work performed or just doesn't know how to properly repair and service a diesel. Other than a few minor issues that should have been discovered before selling, I am fine with everything else. My only suggestion would be to pay closer attention to detail after having work done on the vehicle or find another garage to complete the work. I would buy from Rick's used cars again...I would just be more thorough myself when inspecting the vehicle that I'm about to purchase. Overall, my experience was a good one and I want to thank Andrew again for his hospitality and patience with me as I was making my decision. Thanx, Jamie

I arrived at 7:00am, even though their business hours are 9-7, and the truck was not on the lot. I had one of the sales guys' (Omar) phone numbers and called him four times before 9am trying to find out where the truck was. No answer. Finally, someone shows up at 9am. I tell them I'm there to pick up the truck and am informed it's at another location -- even though they knew I was coming. They say someone is bringing it over. About 25 minutes later, I'm told a "young guy" is driving it and they want him to take his time because it's a big truck. Another 25 minutes goes by, and then an older gentleman tells me they were pressure washing the truck, something got wet, and now it won't start. He offers to ship it to Cincinnati for free once they get it running. At this point, I still haven't even seen the truck and tell them I want to inspect it. They send me to another location they own, I-40 Auto, about 20 minutes away. When I arrive, the truck is sitting in a field and very clearly was NOT pressure washed -- it just had morning dew on it. AJ (the owner's son) wouldn't give me space while I was inspecting the truck, constantly talking and asking if I liked it. I eventually had to tell him to give me room. Despite everything, I still wanted to move forward with the purchase. That's when AJ tells me they lost the key, and the truck needs to be taken to Ford because the remaining keys won't program. Fine. About an hour later, the truck is towed to High Point Ford. At Ford, I explain the situation to a service advisor named Jessie and am told they'll try to get it running that day. While waiting, I overhear someone mention the truck was just there recently for a check engine light, but the owner declined diagnosis. When I asked Jessie about it, he said he couldn't release any information since I wasn't the owner. I contacted Sebar Auto and told them they needed to authorize Ford to release the information or the deal was off. After nearly 40 minutes of back and forth -- and Sebar Auto claiming I was "getting in the way" while standing quietly in a corner -- Ford finally released the details. To summarize: * The truck was not ready * I was sent to multiple locations * I was given conflicting explanations * The truck had known mechanical issues * None of this was disclosed upfront After all of this, instead of taking responsibility or addressing the situation, Sebar Auto sent me a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in an apparent attempt to keep me quiet about my experience. This entire situation was disorganized, exhausting, and a complete waste of time. I'm sharing this so others can make informed decisions.
