I visited Miller Automotive while I was home for Memorial Day weekend because the a/c in my 2016 Honda Civic was having issues, and they fit me in first thing in the morning on the busy Tuesday afterward. Kurt Miller, the owner, chatted with my dad while Tamia at the front desk took my info and made the experience as smooth as possible. My dad enjoyed his conversation with the owner, and mentioned that he thinks he's found a new favorite mechanic, my car was ready in a couple of hours and my drive back to OC later that day was nice and cool. 3 weeks later, and everything is still top shape! The old owners who use to be our neighbors sold this business recently and moved out of state. The Miller family no longer owns this business. This was our go to shop for years and it's where we recommended our family and friends for 20+ years. We assumed service would still be of quality so we referred my mom 78 years old to have them install 2 light bulbs for her. This took 2 screws and she already had the bulbs. We were out of town otherwise we would have done this for her. We figured they would charge her maybe $30-$40 since she already had the parts and it would take maybe 2-3 minutes. They charged her $125! She's 78 and on a fixed income who treats seniors this way??? Also about the same time I referred my daughter's best friend who is 21 and working 3 jobs while putting herself through school as she was noticing her car was leaking coolant. She was trying to be proactive and so she went in. No engine light ever came on. They told her it didn't matter if she had never had any warning lights on dash that their machine would pull codes regardless and tell them what was wrong and that it had to be the first thing they did. They charged her $280 to tell her that her car hadn't thrown a code after all (no lights= no code) duh! But this young girl didn't know that! Then they told her they couldn't duplicate the problem so there was nothing for them to fix. They took advantage of this hard working young lady and sent her on her way advising her to drive it until she had warning lights on the dash and to bring it back then. UNBELIEVABLE! Who buys a business to immediately run it into the ground? Were they unaware of how this family ran the shop and stood by their customers??? They are still using the Miller name as to not be transparent to long time loyal customers. Integrity matters and this shop use to have it but it's clear the new owners don't. Don't support this business or its new owners. If you are looking for quality auto repair work that is reasonably priced, done right and with integrity you should consider contacting J and L Complete Automotive Repair. They fixed my daughter's friend's car quickly and didn't charge her for unnecessary repairs. Yes the same young girl they told they couldn't find the problem. Thankful a friend shared this gem with us. We aren't looking back and will never refer or support Miller Automotive again. read more

The check engine light activated on my pickup so I took it to Milker Automotive because I had used them before and I thought they were reputable. In no more than 3 minutes their diagnostic tool indicated the pickup had a minor "EVAP" leak. They said they weren't certain, but they thought the gas cap might need to be replaced. They offered to go get a gas cap and install it, but after a short discussion I decided it was best if we made sure the original gas cap was correctly installed and suggested they reset the check engine light. They did that for me and the check engine light has not come back on. Anyway for the 3 minutes they had their diagnostic tool plug into my pickup they charged me $160.00. Needless to say i cannot recommend Miller Automotive and I will not be returning there in the future. read more

ok. so i would give this place 0 stars if i could. so the new owner name is jhon african american big heavy set guy. he might be half partnered with someone else. they bought this building but still using the old name on building. main mechanic is JHON. a scam artist.!! me and family have been going to him a few times. wich is a disater. he claims do everything even electrical. but most of the time ive had to bring the vehicle back for the same reason. he rebuilt a transmission on my honda accord twice because it failed the first time. also on one of my trucks he had to rebuild twice. and recently my dad had his engine rebuild on ford f150 and had to bring it back because it failed due to this guy ordering CHEAP PARTS online and putting them in the cars come to find out, instead of getting parts from local auto parts store. just to profit more money !!. JHON will tell you to bring the car in the morning and it sometimes will not get to it the end of day. sometimes he will fix promblem if its simple. and most times he will tell he couldnt get to it because he has other cars he is trying to do all at the same time and he also has another fulltime job in bay area so he definitely dont have time to fix cars. he has other journey man mechanics or his nephew work on the cars wich dont know much. this happend to me recently and was the final straw. i brought my truck in for a tail light to connect to a trailer. tells me to bring on a sunday i did. so he checks it out. and tells me the place he gets parts from is not open so bring back in morning. i ask whats estimate cost, he says 150 i say ok. i bring it back in monday morning, he then has truck and trailer all day long it gets dark i ask whats up with my truck. he says other parts need to orderd. he dosent call all day. no text. i had to reach out to him. just for him to say he couldnt get to it and dont have time..mind you i go to pick up and he trys to tell me i need singnal switches and cost is going to be 200 for parts 300 for labor ect. wich he has done alot in the past. i said im not paying that and thats ridiculous ! he then SNAPPED on me and told me DISRESPECTFULY to get the F OUT and dont come back. we had exchange of words then he pursues to charge at me like he was going get violent calling me a bunch of names and slurs because i called him out on his BS. JHON may act like his the nicest person but behind the scenes he is not. JHON or this place is not PROFESSIONAL and youll be sorry taking your vehicle there. ive lost money over time due to his OVER CHARGING and lost of TIME from work not having my car or work truck done on time. and suspiciously when something gets fixed something else goes wrong with my cars wich i cant prove but this guy a total SCAM ARTIST. !!! read more

My cars brakes were going out badly - was recommended this shop from a friend who works across the street. I'm always very hesitant whenever I have to take my car into a mechanic, as they usually see me as a small blonde girl who doesn't know anything. However, I had an amazing experience with Kyle here at Miller Automotive. Kyle was extremely transparent with me about pricing and the work my car needed, communicative, and even worked with me to get something within my budget. Miller was highly recommended by a local bank employee. At 82 I have to rely on knowledgeable honest people and not the local thief. I paid a local dealership over $500 for a front end boot installation 2 years ago. I spent over a year recovering from major heart surgery only to discover that the boot was installed incorrectly and is torn and leaking as it was when I took it to the dealership. Those service writers are not fully trained on all aspects of corrective work, but smile and run up the bill. I have no recourse because time slipping by. In the future, I will have all work performed by this shop, who charged me less than other shops for same work, and I am able to get an explanation and see completed work from the mechanic who performed it.
