Normally I take all my vehicles to Adam at Ripon Auto, but wanted to give another business in town a try. So I went. My vehicle was leaking oil. They kept my car for 7 days. 3 days after having my vehicle I heard nothing. No update, no timeline, nothing. I called several times and left messages, throughout that time and managed to get minimal responses after 3 days during which they provided me with a timeline, which ultimately ended up being inaccurate. After that I didn't hear anything, for another 2 days after I called and texted, nothing again. Finally I had my spouse make contact and they responded to him, but not me. After responding to him, they finally called me. When I went to pick up my car, it still wasn't done by the time they told me to come in (this is on the 7th day). They still had finishing touches to make apparently. Which to clarify, is fine, but after you've had my car for 7 days it would be nice not to have to wait longer if it's not actually ready when I was told it would be. I was charged about $1,300 to remove the fresh oil I just put, a diagnostic, new oil to replace the oil they removed (why couldn't the oil I JUST got be stored to reuse? And before anyone tells me that's not possible, it is, ask any mechanic), clean everywhere the oil went apparently, put a new part in (I can't remember what) and doing all of this would supposedly fix the leaking oil issue. It did not. I was left furious and anxious by the lack of communication, information, respect for my time, and ultimately ability to not even fix the leak. They told me to bring it back if it was still having issues but why would I put myself through that experience again? It wasn't cheap and I had an awful experience. I finally was able to save enough money to take it to a mechanic again eventually and took it to Adam at Ripon Auto. But before taking it I went back to Peterson to get my receipt reprinted so Ripon Auto could see what all they "did". Upon entering Peterson's office no one was at the front desk and I timed it because yes after having gone through everything I did I was feeling petty. It took almost 25 minutes for someone to come and reprint a receipt for me, who also didn't seem overly concerned with customer service. Anyways, Ripon auto was able to fixe the leak, informed me that Peterson did the work incorrectly and how they did it incorrectly, kept my vehicle for 2.5 days, called me everyday to keep me updated and informed, were less than half the price Peterson charged me, and were kind. I really wanted to have a good experience here, but unfortunately did not. I left feeling taken advantage of. Hopefully others have a better experience.

What really bothered me, though, was the way Rahsaan treated me. He came across as rude and unprofessional, and the interaction left me feeling like my business didn't matter. I understand places get busy, but that's not an excuse to treat customers disrespectfully. I came in expecting a quick, straightforward visit and left disappointed. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because better communication and a more respectful attitude would make a big difference. I wish i could leave a 0 star honestly. The asst. manager at Auto Zone on Main St. advised we'd purchased the wrong bulb, got us the right one & tried to change it out. It wouldn't come out, so she referred us to Jack's Transmission. Jack too had to work at figuring out how to get this thing out, but he did get it changed & only charged a nominal price for it. All this after the local Midas had both quoted an overcharged amount for the bulb (almost double) AND $360 in labor! An obvious & obscene way to try to take advantage of a disabled senior! All told, between the local AutoZone & Jacks Transmission, they saved this senior with health concerns, over $400!!! Thank you, Jack! It's nice to have located an honorable mechanic, with fair pricing!

I reached out to this shop for an emergency alignment job. I had previously taken my car into a…read morenational, well-known franchise for regular maintenance. They informed me an alignment couldn't be completed by their shop. Unfortunately, after getting it back, my car was nearly impossible to steer, I would get thrown into other lanes and it felt like my car was going to slide right off the tires. It was dangerous to drive. Enter Manteca Tire & Wheel Outlet, after explaining what I needed I was told I could bring it in. They were open about not being able to do the job as well (I've owned the car for 10 years now, with several shops having difficulties aligning it--and no shop ever being able to get it to spec., even when the car was stock. It's a clear manufacturer defect.) And while it did take some time to complete, they were rather busy at the time, and still found time to accommodate me for this emergency. But they were very communicative during the entire process. They were even super apologetic they couldn't align it to spec., which I fully expected. Price was fairly good, much better than the previous shop, and they even gave me a break because it couldn't fully be aligned correctly. The car drives so much better now. Completely thankful to Manteca Tire & Wheel Outlet for getting this done and their honesty throughout the process!
