I purchased three mini Tampico drinks , a dozen Flour Wheat Tortillas and a bag of Shredded Cheddar Cheese for about five Dollars. It seemed like there was one register open, of course. The customer at the register before me was having a difficult time scanning his payment. The customer behind him was friendly stating he liked a certain brand of Tortillas. The line grew quickly with like five people behind me. Smh. However, it started moving quickly. They have a vendor in the lobby that sells Stanley cups for $25.00. He was really nice. He had his music turned up loud! He lowered his music to speak to me then when I was done speaking, he turned his music back up! Lol. Well, this was quite a nice surprise. He gave me a sample of boneless, (a.k.a. nuggets) wings honey hot sauce. I ordered the combo meal which includes a drink, fries and 8 wings. I got the honey hot sauce but bone in wings in lieu of the boneless. To start off, the wings were drowned in the honey hot sauce which was really messy, but the taste was really good, Johnny should learn to ease back on the sauce, the crinkle fries were well seasoned and pretty good. The total was $18.39 after taxes. Over all the food was really good and very tasty other than the sauce I have no complaints.

One of the greatest mysteries in life for me has always been why the smallest amount of chicken breast you can buy is three, and then the next size up is a super mega family 20 pack. Anyway ... That's why the best thing you can do is find yourself a good Mexican butcher shop, like La Altena. The selection isn't big or complicated, however everything they DO have is of high quality. They have marinated steak and chicken fajitas which are very tasty and pretty much impossible to mess up when cooking. They have smoked pork chops, marinated meat for tacos al pastor, and a very good authentic chorizo. Try their tablitas, which are spare ribs cut across the rib (think galbi). On the weekends they have a limited amount of homemade tortillas for sale, its first come first serve and by midday they're usually out. There is also a small store here with mostly non perishable goods for sale. They have a cooler in the back and its always stocked with Jarritos two liters so go ahead and grab you one of those to enjoy. Service is friendly and helpful, I once let them know that I was buying chicken breast for milanesa which requires a thin breast to be pounded out. Without any prompting from me the butcher offered to slice the whole breasts in half to make it easier, saved me 30 minutes of work. I will warn you though, you're probably going to have to know Spanish or be really really confident in your communication with hand gestures and slow talking. They do take cards but theres a $5 minimum. Grab you a pound of fajitas, a two liter of Jarritos Limon and a stack of tortillas and you'll be out of there for $7-$8 Trying is the first step towards failure.
