I am a long time service customer. I am on my third Camry, the most recent one purchased at Miller barely used a couple of years ago. I have always received excellent service here even when I didn't buy my car here. And I never have to come back for the same problem (except that time that was a user error situation ;o) It's the little service details like the first time the low tire pressure light came on on my way to work or the light came on on my way home from work. Everyone I encounter is friendly and helpful. As for safety practices, I was in today for inspections and they are doing everything right to keep customers safe. We had yet another negative experience at Miller Toyota service department. My dad took his 2023 RAV 4 for just an oil change. His usual service rep was not there that day. He had to wait a tremendous amount of time even though he made an appointment. Then right before leaving his bill was $517!!!! $517 for just an oil change. My dad is a very easy going man, and non confrontational, so he just paid the bill even though he was upset and walked out! I took a look at the bill and I noticed that the service rep, whose name is Julio upcharged him for certain items, BUT HE NEVER ASKED MY DAD FOR AUTHORIZATION!!! He charged him for cabin and under the hood air filter without asking him. But that was not the worse part. The total labor charge itself was $312.75!!! The bill says they serviced rear differential and transfer case. FOR WHAT?!!! The car had only 17,000 miles on it! Worst yet, and as mentioned, WHY DID THE SERVICE REP TAKE IT UPON HIMSELF TO ADD THESE CHARGES OR SERVICES WITHOUT EVEN ASKING MY DAD FOR AUTHORIZATION?!!! I will be calling tomorrow to talk to the service department manager, and I will be putting my complaint in writing to him and the store general manager. I am also having my lawyer friend taking a look at this mess. This is beyond outrageous!! You may think upselling is bad. How about upselling without even asking you?!!!!! Service Department... In the past, I haven't had a lot of problems that I know of with the service department. A few months ago I had a nail in the tire and was told it was awful close to the sidewall. I accepted the risks and told them fix it anyways. They were quick to offer a new $425 tire. This morning (picture included), I got a screw in another tire and they said it was too close again to the sidewall to fix. They quickly offered a $425 new tire. Reading up, patches can be applied that are farther than a half inch from sidewall. This is 2.5 inches in. Side note: I bought the truck from this dealership and have used them exclusively for service...until now. read more

I was using their service for my maintenance of my car, but, after they did my last oil change, I will never EVER let them touch my car again. I don't drive this car much, so when I last went to drive it, there was puddle of oil on my garage floor. A local garage looked at the leak for me and discovered that, at my last oil change, the oil drain plug was cross-threaded so bad that it stripped the threads on the oil pan and drain plug to the point that the oil pan was unfixable and had to be replaced. I truly find this very pathetic to the point that i will not be doing business with this dealership again. read more

It's about the Service Department of Miller Toyota in Manassas, VA: I was given an appointment at 9:30 am on 11/07/2024 for safety recall service, and was told it would take about 2 to 3 hours. I was at the dealer at 9:30 am, and my car was taken away. At 12:30 pm I asked for status, and was told it had not even been started. The manager named Marcel then told me it would take another 2 hours for my turn. What is the purpose of making an appointment then? I expected my car to be serviced at the time of appointment, not 5 hours after that. This dealer only wants to keep customers, not its promise. I would never come back there again. read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. After picking up my new Toyota Prius - I noticed it did not have the floor mats that were supposed to come with it. I contacted our Fleet Manager and she told me to go to a Toyota dealership to order a set - and to pay for them using the Driver's Guide (the Guide is the document we use to get repairs and maintenance work done on the vehicles and insure the dealer or repair shop gets paid). So I found the closest Toyota dealership to me and walked in. I went down to the Service Department - told them what I needed, the guy looked up the floormats, and asked me how I would like to pay for them. I handed my Driver's Guide to him and he looked at me like I was a Space Alien. So then he took it over to some other folks to ask them about it - they all looked at - and their response was - we don't know what this is - we can't accept it." Interesting, they've allegedly never had any interaction with Gelco (GE Fleet Management). And they were not even interested in learning more or seeing if there was a way to work through the process. This is a review of their used car sales. What a slimeball operation! I went in to test drive a used Toyota. I've test driven many cars in my life. Some basic information (like a drivers license) and off you go. These guys made me sit there for 30 minutes while they were "doing paperwork to get approval" for me to test drive this car. Finally the guy asks me to sign a Buyer's Order to test drive. I said no, that makes no sense, I'm just here for a test drive. He says this is just an approval for a test drive. No, it says BUYERS ORDER. I said I wouldn't sign it. And when he continued to push, I said I was leaving. As I walked out, I told the manager(?) who the salesperson had been working with that I just wanted a test drive and that it made no sense to sign a Buyers Order. This is for my service experience. I made the appointment online to drop off my vehicle for routine repairs, and to have a thorough inspection ( I haven't had my car service at a Toyota dealership in a year). Driving into the service bay there were many service employees waving you into the bay and inquiring on the purpose for your visit. I felt that was extremely helpful since it was my first time at this dealership for service. Once I was in the "service advisor" area I felt invisible and there was not a defined area to wait for a service advisor. Eventually I was assisted and I informed the advisor I was really early for my scheduled drop off appointment which they accommodated me without hesitation. A few hours later I received a call from my assigned advisor who thoroughly reviewed everything my car needed. I appreciated the explanation on the "why" for each item needing repairs/replacement. What was even better was my car was ready the same afternoon. My only "tift" with the process was the coupon I presented after the repairs were completed. I failed to read that it needed to be presented at "write up" which I understand the advisor needs to adjust the estimate, but mine was just for a discount on total labor costs. They did let me use the coupon which I had to go back to my advisor to get it applied. Overall I was happy with the service center but I wasn't "wow'd". I didn't feel pressured to get services completed (I already knew what that I wanted anything found fixed right then and there). My only suggestion is to have someone in the service advisor area direct customers walking in, the employees in the bay are great but it stops at the door. read more

Took my car for airbag recall and given a loaner for 24 hrs. They call me 40 mins before they close to tell me my car is ready. Cannot drop everything to go pickup my car at that time and allow traffic to get me there on time before they close. First thing next morning I pick up my car and go home. Days later can't find my umbrella and find out that someone had searched my car. My spare change in the ashtray was half empty. Luckily, I did remove as many valuables out before I took it in. Its unfortunate that even the small stuff still got stolen and this facility has lost my trust. Will not be a returning customer. Heading to another dealer, will make the drive. read more

Miller fails - consistently - on the most fundamental levels of customer service and experience. Their requirement for service department staff must be individuals who fail the personality test at both the DMV and EZPass. Seriously! How hard is it to smile, make eye contact, say thank you or even ask "how are you" when a customer comes in the drop off or pickup their vehicle? Even better, wash it before returning it or send a runner to retrieve for the customer, versus sending them off into the cold, dark lot to find it. Had a super amazing experience purchasing our SUV from Stephen here! We went to another Toyota dealership the day before. Negotiations stalled there when they were wishy washy about getting us the model and trim that we wanted. We called around and Miller Toyota had it. My husband ended up negotiating with them online based on what we were offered at the first dealership. They ended up calling us the next morning asking us to come in to see it. After more friendly negotiations at the dealership, we were able to get the SUV we wanted for a good price! Customer service was great. We had our toddler with us and they had a kid's play area in the service waiting area. There was a tv, a shelf full of toys, a table with chairs, and bean bags. It kept him occupied while my husband took care of the paperwork. What a life saver! read more

My truck's 4x4 drive isn't working. I have an old Tacoma. I went there for a diagnostic on the mechanism. The mechanic checked all my fuses and chased down wires because he couldn't pull Any codes for my truck. Like I said my truck is an older model and doesn't have those electronics. Due to the age of the truck the mechanic should have known that was going to be waste of his time. He never checked the 2 actuators for voltage and wanted to charge me double the estimate $230 to keep it for another day.I have no confidence in this service dept. And will be taking it to another place for diagnostics. Changing my review ... when picking up my truck.A master technician was able to explain in detail what was done to my vehicle. They still couldn't pinpoint the problem but they better explained the situation today than what was told to us last night. They also didn't charge us.. so to the misinformation and confusion. Buyer beware! This has been the worst experience in my 60 years of life with a car dealership! We are now stuck with a car that we hate, a car that doesnt have what we wanted, a car we DONT want! Miller Toyota is not upfront letting you know that there is NO right of decision. We ask three times about this all three times we were told I dont know I'll check but guess what they had us sign papers without finding out, without seeing the car they said they were bringing in from another dealership over an hour away. The finance guy never reviewed the contract or the terms only reviewed the extended warranties which he was trying to see us, never once we were we told about the return policy or right of rescission. We signed at 5:30, saw the car for the first time, we again ask the salesman about the right of rescission and was told I dont know I'll find out but guess what he didn't. We drove the car home, basically a test drive and hated the car. We called our sales guy on his cell.at 8;55 and said we hate it we want our old car back which was a 2017 Armada. He said and I quote "ok I'll see you in the morning " To our surprise he didn't work the next day nor did he call us. The manager basically too bad you signed the papers you drove the car home to bad it's yours. Can you say furious! We called both managers on the phone both were very condescending and heartless. We have ask for the general manager to call us and here we are 5 days later no call. Shocker! Miller Toyota will never get our business or anyone else we can save from them. We continue to fight this battle. We may not win but they will know how much we despise them and their fake and false customer care. There is so much more to this story but little room. I began my car search by shopping at Koons, Ourisman, and Miller. I should have just skipped the rest. Koons ignored my request and called twice, waking up our infant. Then they emailed me a quote for a totally different car brand. Then, they emailed again with a 2019 model for $9k more. I had dialog with Ourisman, and asked them to let me know when they got the 2020s in stock. I didn't hear back, so I emailed them for an update. A week later I still hadn't heard anything, so I decided to check out Millers (the farthest away). The entire buying process start to finish took under a day, and the time onsite was under two hours despite being late in the evening. Everyone stayed after closing to answer any questions I had and to ensure everything went great. My salesperson, Vlad, was outstanding. Don't even bother going anywhere else. I've purchased over 15 vehicles in my life, and this beats every experience I've had anywhere else, including Tesla. read more

I dropped today to ask about the Rav4 and the Highlander, the dealership was almost empty, employees were getting ready to close early (at least two hours). The dealer wasn't even interested in selling, he only unlocked a Rav4, didn't offer for a drive test and he didn't unlock the Highlander though I mentioned several times I was interested. He spent most of the short 20min I was there ranting about how buying a car requires lots of money and making nonsense metaphors with food and leasing aparments. Maybe they are so successful selling they didn't need to pitch in another customer. Better go to another toyota dealership if you want decent service and people that really treat you like a customer. read more

I bought a used '09 4Runner from Miller. The sales guys Manolo and Wes were great and worked with me on the price... then on the first day of ownership, both front turn signal bulbs burned out! I called them up, and Ed at their maintenance shop had me come back that day, and fixed the problem at no cost, no appointment and no questions asked. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I never write these reviews but they were really excellent to work with, in both sales and service. I highly recommend them. read more

I'm completely disappointed with my experience at Miller Toyota and with Manolo. I'm in the market currently looking for a 3rd vehicle to purchase for my family (my daughter just got her learners permit and needs a first time car to drive to school) and I saw a car that I was ready to purchase but the ask was unreasonable for a 14 yr old corolla. I'm always fair when working with dealerships, I understand they have to make money but like Mark Cuban says "pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered." Miller Toyota being a little too hoggy. Granted the vehicle had low miles but still old and I gave a fair and over KBB and NADA value offer for the vehicle to get it off their lot but got shot down. I even explained NavyFederal will only give out 125% of book value but these guys are pricing too high. Black Friday is right around the corner so while Miller Toyota; like Manolo said to me on a text "we will wait and hold on to the car" I will have to take my money elsewhere to a dealership that actually likes to sale their cars. Its just a shame they don't know how to negotiate and earn a customers business and future loyalty. WAKE UP GUYS!!! We had an unbelievable experience! We came after leaving another dealer feeling put off. We walked the lot and Drew N came up and introduced himself. He walked with us, never being pushy, only answering questions. He never tried to sell us something we didn't want, actually listened to what we were saying and, in turn, was able to guide us to the perfect car for our daughter...a brand spanking new 2018 Toyota Corolla iM!! The finance process was quick and painless, even had the manager come and speak with us and sit with us. Everything from Drew in the lot, to the humor of the other sales people inside, the kindness of the manager, the cheerful ladies in finance to the wonderful detailing, we had a great experience and will definitely be back for our next vehicle...hopefully my Forerunner!! To top it off, on our way out we met the GM who shook our hands, spoke with us for a few minutes and congratulated us on our new car. Excellent price and service! Their new facility is nice and new but I was very disappointed in my repair service and will not be returning to this facility for additional repairs. I noticed the poor service reviews for Miller Toyota before but because of the close location and simple service I decided to try it anyway. In looking online it appears that Ourisman in Chantilly has superior repair service. On a Saturday morning, I bought my car in for a simple scheduled transmission oil flush and informed my service advisor (Rob) that another facility stated the associated allen hex nut was stripped and could not change my transmission oil. I asked if they have the part in stock and he looked at me like as if I was another stupid customer and stated they could best determine the problem. He called a few hours later to inform me the car could not be fixed on Sat since they needed to order the hex nut since it was stripped. Then I got another call shortly thereafter stating that the oil level was low and it might damage the car to drive it. I asked if I could get a free rental and they stated no because the car was beyond warranty at 60K mi. I reminded Rob that I had warned him about the problem beforehand and why didn't he check on the part availability prior to starting the repair. He stated they didn't believe it was a problem before starting. After discussing a bit, he stated that they would give me a one day car rental for free. In talking to the very pleasant car rental person he assured me that since the dealership wasn't open on Sunday (it wasn't added as a charge day), I could bring the car back on Monday when the car was completed. Therefore I thought the rental would be free since I had one day free. Rob ensured I was charged one day rental on my bill regardless. After this experience, I just don't trust Miller Toyota so I will go elsewhere even if its less convenient. read more

I wanted to take the time to test drive and ask a few questions, but after 2 hours I only looked at two cars, test drove one and left with a headache. I make the (further) trip out to Manassas to visit the service center at this particular Miller Toyota location because I hate waiting for appointments and the service team members are super friendly. Regular maintenance visits are quick, reliable, and (with coupons sent in the mail) pretty affordable. And when lengthier services are required, they offer loaner cars to help you get around. The last time I was there, they ran out of in-house loaners and hooked me up with a complimentary rental from the enterprise down the road. I also appreciate the fact that the "car guys" didn't try to pressure me into paying for additional services. And if such services were required, the Service Advisors (I deal with Tony Van Houten) take the time to explain to me (in plain english) why and are up front about the costs. They also have a history of your services, so you can keep track of how often you come in and when you've had parts replaced... good for busy (and slightly forgetful) people like me! read more

About a month ago, my dad had gotten a quote from Mike at this Toyota dealership. Yesterday we went to Ourisman Fairfax Toyota (see my review about their terrible service there). We were being price gouged at Ourisman Fairfax and the salesman did not have great customer service. Anyways, we went to Miller Toyota and my dad went to look for Mike again. I noticed on Mike's desk that he had a couple of customer service awards as well. Anyways, Mike remembered my dad and went to give him a price for a SUV out the door. He came back with a price that was about $500 more than what he quoted my dad a month ago. After some friendly discussions and negotiations, Mike gave us the offer he originally quoted us from a month ago. He was very friendly and even after we purchased the car, he did not try to rush us off the dealership lot (even though it was almost closing time). He sat with us and showed my dad how to use the features of the car and took him on a tour of the dealership (while the new car was being washed). Very friendly guy and gave us a decent deal. He deserves those customer service awards and is very approachable and down to earth. From now on we will chose Miller Toyota over Ourisman Toyota because of Mike. Even the manager came to talk to us from Miller Toyota and thanked us for buying from them and even apologized for the wait while they washed our new car. P.s. the price we paid out the door for the EXACT same car (same trim, model, color, features, etc.) was about $800 cheaper at Miller Toyota than what Ourisman Fairfax offered. When we tried to negotiate with Ourisman, the salesman basically gave us an attitude (not to mention talking on the phone while we were test driving the car). So we walked out and got in our car. Then he came up to our car and said the manager wanted to talk to us. We came to buy a car. Not play a childish game. Sam Lee is amazing!!! He gets a 10 star but the service department is the down fall... My tundra was only a week old when I got a bolt in my tire- payed for a package to cover the tire free of charge by my time is not important when it came time to fix it. (5) times I will have gone to miller for 1 tire!! I took my truck up once I realized I had a bolt in the tire-at 3:00 and gave me a 630 appointment, so long story short they patch the tire even thou I get a new one with this package... Tell me to drop it off Friday and by Saturday morning I will have my new tire... I had to call them and asked 3 different people cause everyone passed the buck, had to go get my truck Saturday without a tire. I got an appointment a week later get a tire. Very poor management in the service department and it's just a tire...a tire!!! read more

Updated to five stars (for the buying experience - can't speak for service) After two horrible experiences at other dealerships, I found (almost) exactly what I was looking for at Miller Toyota today. I called and spoke with Manolo - I made it clear that I was OK with the posted price as long as the test drive was satisfactory. I told him that this would be a cash transaction and to skip the financing discussion (another dealership in Tyson's went so far as to scold me for not wanting to finance). I got there, test drove, and left a cashiers check for a portion of the payment. I'll return in a couple of days with the remaining balance to take possession of the vehicle. Because of a low credit score (divorce has far-reaching financial implications!) and relatively new self-employment, payment in full is required before taking possession...absolutely understandable, especially when it's tough to verify income (side note: If you ever want to feel sketchy, just go to a car dealership and announce that you're self-employed and wish to pay in cash... it's almost like being under a microscope). What makes Miller stand out is that I made it clear that I knew what I wanted and wasn't interested in upselling or completely unnecessary financing. The other dealership was so bold as to say that they get a hefty kickback for selling financing...we all know this, but to aggressively push me to finance so you receive a kickback is a sure way to lose a customer. Miller didn't do that. They seemed to recognize that I wasn't interested in anything other than paying the sticker price and keeping it simple. I'll update this to five stars once I take delivery, but I see absolutely nothing wrong with a quick, hassle-free experience, which is what I've received so far.
