We drive 3 1/2 hours to see a used Jeep Cherokee that was exactly what I wanted (we had been searching for months). We messaged last night to be sure they still had it and received an immediate response. We called this morning just to be sure. Our salesman, Raj was fantastic. Not only did he pull it up front ready and waiting, he took a video and sent it to us as we're were getting on the road (proof of life - lol). No bait and switch here! Raj and the sales Manager Haben worked hand in hand to help us and sped the process up. In fact everyone we encountered at the dealership was super friendly and helpful. I realize businesses need to make money but the experience I recently had at this dealership probably is the best example of where not to take your vehicle to Ave it worked on. Our daughter's 2017 Golf had an a/c blower motor fail and when I asked for an estimate they said it would be almost 1300 dollars to replace it. Now that was after their 180$ diagnostic charge so closer to 1500. I was actually considering this when I decided to check out YouTube and see how complex it might be to swap the part out. Imagine my surprise when I saw the this was at most a 5 minute job. Two quick release fasteners to remove the foam cover, one wire plug to disconnect and then push a tab while turning the whole assembly and it literally just drops out. After seeing that I ordered a brand new part for 80$ on Amazon and swapped it out myself in maybe 5 minutes. I've owned probably 20 cars in my life and I can't think of a better example of trying to rip a customer off. To say I will not be returning is an understatement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I thought I should mention the service rep was friendly but the fact they were in the process of trying to basically steal from me makes think, hmm, not so nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I almost forgot the safety inspection they did. Technician stated air filter needed to be replaced when in fact I'd just replaced it. There was literally no trash or dirt in the filter. They also wanted about 100$ to replace this 15$ part that required removing maybe 6 screws and no more than three minutes. read more

Avoid this dealership. Less than a year ago, I brought my Beetle in because the radio clock was resetting and the Apple CarPlay was glitchy. I was told it needed a new radio and paid to have that installed. A few months ago, the radio clock again started resetting and I finally had a day off from work to take it in today. I was informed that the radio software needed an update. When I asked why the software update hadn't been done when the radio was installed and asked shouldn't it be under warranty since it's less than a year, the service rep tried to gaslight me by saying, no, no it's an instrument cluster software update and then HE RETYPED THE INVOICE AND CHANGED IT FROM RADIO SOFTWARE UPDATE TO INSTRUMENT CLUSTER update (I took all the paperwork and have both copies as proof). This is also the same dealership that was found guilty on Dec. 27, 2024 for "deceiving and overcharging customers for years." read more

BUYER BEWARE!! My husband and I have bought cars at other dealerships, and have never had a shadier, more slimy experience than we just had at Lindsay Volkswagen Manassas. We came in yesterday looking at cars for our family, and were at the dealership for hours talking numbers for a Santa Fe with Barrie and manager Henry. We negotiate price for almost an hour and settled at an out the door price with them, and even signed a paper stating that we would buy the car at that price. They submitted our credit application for financing, putting a hard pull on both of our credit. We set an appointment with Barrie to come in the following day (today, 7/31) at 5:00 PM to purchase the car. Both my husband and I work and could not come in until 4:45 PM. We communicated with Barrie all day, confirming our appointment for 4:45 PM multiple times to buy the car. They knew how much money we were coming with, they had our credit approved and the car was available. I'm not kidding- FIFTEEN MINUTES before we arrived at the dealership (we were driving in from Warrenton, a 40 minute drive), I get a text from Barrie stating that someone was coming to look at the car. We were on the way to buy it- literally. On the way to the dealership my husband called Henry and we were told that we would basically have to wait and see if the customer who just walked in, didn't submit any credit, and showed up 15 minutes before we had an appointment to buy the car was going to take it. We were DUMBFOUNDED. After arriving, we were told by Henry that the person who was about to buy the car out from under us was not only talking numbers with the other salesperson, but they sat him at the desk ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE GLASS WALL FROM US. We were told the car wasn't sold until it was- we walked in ready to sign the paperwork for a car we had an appointment to buy, only to be given the run around from Henry who "understood how we feel" but continued to tell us that we were unable to sign the paperwork until the other person made THEIR decision. Needless to say, we argued with them for fifteen minutes and were told the car sold. Never in my life have I ever dealt with such slimy salespeople. The kind who look you in the face knowing on principle what they're doing is wrong and don't care just so they can make a sale. They don't care about you, they just want your money. Not only that, but they let another salesperson shark a sale from Barrie on the last day of the month 10 minutes before he was about to sell the car I can't make this up. Never coming back, never recommending, and will spread the good word. Go literally anywhere else. read more

I can't say enough good about Lindsay Manassas. I went back when they 1st opened to drive a GTI. Noah has been my salesperson and is both kind and knowledgeable. He showed me an Autobahn GTI and I was quite impressed with his product knowledge and passion for VW. I decided to place a deposit on an R and to keep my fingers crossed. 6moa later, the week of my birthday he notified me it has arrived and was a 20th Anniversary white R! Needless to say, the car has exceeded my expectations, but the service from Noah and Teri in service has been a reason to make me a Lindsay loyalist. I'd bought a car from their Dulles store and had a good experience, but was a bit disappointed with the service there. I was in for a minor job, but one that required factory parts. I was also on the road when my earlier model Golf needed repair. I was burned once before by "white box" parts, and learned the hard way that when you have a German car, you have to use original parts, and general auto repair shops usually aren't the best bet, unless it's a tire shop and you need tires or an alignment. There may have been a foreign car repair place that may have been a little cheaper, but I'm not familiar with local businesses. I purchased a car in Dec of 2022 with a tire warranty. The finance guy did not tell me that if I needed to repair or replace the tire that I needed to take back the car to the location I purchased it at. The location I went to service my car (Springfiel) does not offer this plan. Therefore, my options are: 1. Pay out of pocket. 2. Have them fix the tire and hold my car, up to 5 days, until they receive payment from this 3rd party, JMA co. What???? Hold my car for up to 5 days? How will I get to work, etc. So insane; not logical, etc. I feel totally duped for purchasing this upsell, tire plan. Shouldn't I be able to use a purchased VW warranty plan at any location? I came into the dealership after 3 visits to others (Toyota, Honda and Nissan). They all turned me away due to my unique situation and wouldn't even meet with me to see if something could be done. Jose and Mariya and another young lady actually listened to what happened and advocated for me. I hit a deer and totaled my car when inflation hit the first month and put a down payment ($8,000 social work doesn't pay a lot). The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee I purchased had $15,000 of negative equity (clearly why I kept getting turned away) with over 76,000. Jose and Mariya and the other young lady (I'm so sorry I don't remember your name) made a deal with me. I was able to purchase a new car with a lower interest rate paying $30 more a month. I've never wanted a VW or thought of purchasing one. I came in to purchase a Pathfinder.
