We usually go to the one by the Smithtown mall, but this location is closer to my job. Some friends and I gathered here the on Thursday night, the bartender said it was the second day they have been open. We ordered a bucket of buds for $8.95 and some sauza shots for $2.50. Great place to hang out, especially if there are any games on. Tons of TVs with 2 bars and a variety of seating options. Generally we only hit the ale house for drinks but our bartender Sara recommended we try some appetizers. I have been here several times now both for dinner and for lunch. I would not recommend them for lunch as it seems to take sooo long to get the food. I would think they would have food at the table within 15-20 minutes for people who work and come there for their lunch hour. The food is not bad. The zingers are always good. Burgers are great but the buns are either hard or too big. French dip is WAY to salty. The servers are nice but again..slow which is unfortunate. read more

I recently went to Millers Ale House with friends and family for an event. We had a choice of another restaurant, but we thought it would be too slow. But to be honest, I think they would of been faster. We got there at about 11:30 AM on a Wednesday, and it wasn't crowded. So we thought the food would take 20 minutes at most. But about an hour later it did crowded. Even though we already ordered our food, other people we're getting their food before us. After about an 1 hour an 15 minutes of waiting we finally got our food. Well some of us anyway, the others still had to wait for another 10 minutes. There was such small portions for a meal that was not cheap. And the food was only average. So in conclusion, we spent more time waiting then eating, a decent amount of money for a small meal, and all for average food. read more

Went to lunch with college roommate and his sister. Waitress was nice but not too on the ball. Didn't know one could order 20 wings and do 2 flavors. Sister ordered soup and salad with the French Onion. They brought her Chili. Was told manager would come out to apologize. Never say the person and we were there well over 90 minutes. We had a major soda spill. No one to be found. I had to go up to front. Was asked if I wanted napkins!!! No one ever came out to help clean up!!! My shoes were in sticky soda remainder of meal. Wings were ok at best. It took them over 10 minutes to bring out the replacement soup!! Not a good experience! read more

Great following.* The pitcher of beer deception: Proving with water that three beers equal one pitcher, if you include the low line marker and no allowance for the head to settle. Prove it to a customer with a water demo and publically? Even though it is technically and legally wrong... The whisper ( too loud ) to Brittany, that the pitcher was proven. Must feel good to prove the customer wrong, even when they are right. Did they teach you that at "MU"? By the way, other Miller's give four beers to a pitcher ( still in need of correction, see below ). Miller's "Ail" Hose - Commack Disgraceful. Too bad, the beer was the only thing worth going for, except maybe the wings, if you're in the mood to be sanitized. Take away the one star to compensate for the water demo and the missing beer. The Miller Ale House used to be my families favorite spot. I was so excited to go after coming home from college. I always shared a quesadilla with my dad and had the chicken tenders as my meal. I was beyond disappointed to find out Miller's had removed both the quesadilla and chicken tenders from their menu. I am very sad to say I will be spending a lot less time at a place my family and I really really used to love. Please bring back the chicken tenders!! Please. read more

Went there specifically for their wings, as I have had them in other locations and they were always great. I ordered the hot garlic (which I have had before). They came out in a clear sauce. When I tasted them, they had no flavor whatsoever. The bartender came over and said she'd have them "toss them in hot sauce", as she realized she rung up the order incorrectly. They came back HORRIBLE. The hot sauce didn't stick to the wings because of the original garlic coating. They did not taste good at all. The manager came over and asked if I wanted them to "re-toss" them....again. Why would they keep re-tossing the same wings, resulting in the same awful outcome? I said I would prefer to have them remade as they were supposed to be. Well, I have no idea who was making these wings but they came out TERRIBLE. The hot sauce/garlic ratio was completely off, and you can actually see the thick layer of oil sitting on top. GROSS!!! I tried to keep mixing the sauce, but the amount of oil made it impossible. They were not edible at all. After eating one, it actually left a film in my mouth that I tasted for hours. I just moved to the area, and was excited there was a Miller's close by. However, I will not return to this establishment again.... unless they change the cook. Because it is a chain, the food should be consistent. Ugh. Such a disappointment. read more

We have been coming here for 4 years "WHY I HAVE NO IDEA" but tonight was the last time we will be eating at Millers Ale House. They have always been distant and not really friendly for some reason. Like not remembering you and saying hello. The managers and staff have always been standoffish. This afternoon was the last straw. the hostess was rude and on the phone when we came in. We asked for a table and chairs with a high chair and she sat us at a booth with no kids menus ? Then ran back to the phone. When I went and asked to please be seated at a table she complained that they didn't have any service there but sat us anyway and ran away again without bringing a high chair. The waitress finally came over and was just short of bitchy. We weren't even seated (no high chair) and she asked if we needed more time with the menu???? When I finally got the highchair MYSELF and the food eventually came after 25 minutes. (way too long for how empty it was) It was all ice cold and wrong in one way or another. Never once did a manager come around nor could you even tell who a manger was!? So never will we be returning to Millers Ale House. The messed up thing is this isn't the first time they just sucked but we kept giving them just one more chance. Stay away from this joint. Go to Louie's or Friendly's or Applebees or drive to the Green Turtle but stay away from here. read more

I'm a Miller's fan through and through. Iv'e been to several of their NY locations and one in Florida. They all look exactly the same and keep the same vibe which I can appreciate. Great food, lots of drink options and TONS of TVs which all show UFC fights when they are on. I recommend the blackened mahi and suggest staying away from the fried stuff. I'm not a cardiologist but c'mon, we both know that fish fry ain't doing anything for your washboard. read more

Ok , so my last review was accommodated by a wonderful manager names Rich....he addressed and rectified the situation completely. He definitely cates about customer satisfaction. our last dozen visits have been great!!!! We even met a manager named Frank who was very nice and accommodating as well as Rich ....but tonight we came, had Tiffany as a waitress and HORRIBLE. ....the place was empty at 10:15 pm yet out zingers came out ice cold!!! then she finally decides to bring out or zinger sliders 20 minutes later and there cold and have no bbq sauce on them as they're supposed to come with when we only asked for the ranch on the side when I said what is this she said you asked for barbecue sauce on the side I said no I did not I asked for ranch on the side I sent it back she has an attitude and i didnt wanna wait another 20 minutes for another order to be made so i sent it back, asked for the check and left. ....the cheese was not melted, there was a quarter piece of bacon and ckn when it describes as "stuffed with zingers and bacon" .....very unpleasant I'm just not coming back anymore, only of I get waited on by someone who cares because this is ridiculous. . read more

Came in with a huge party and The waitress took forever to bring us our first round of drinks, and when the food came out the cheese on the zingers was not melted and they were not hot, just a little warm so the food had been sitting for a while. The food was okay and then when we went to order another sangria pitcher the waitress never brought it out to us until we said something but we wanted to leave by then. Then it took almost 20 minutes to bring us the check, I wouldn't have had a problem with it if it was packed and busy but it was almost empty late on a Thursday night. Stopped in to see Jets game. The food was as bad as the Jets. Beef nachos were a soggy mess, the meat used for topping was very cold, almost freezing. I guess the meat was not nuked long enough. The same thing with a couple of pieces of chicken in the quesadilla, unbelievable. Asked for hot and Mt St Helen's wings, hot had absolutely no sauce and MTSH has small amount of what seemed to be Frank's red hot, not quite volcanic, lol. It's too bad cause it's a good place to watch a game. The positives were fresh cold beer, plenty of TV's and the service was good. Would not come back due to bar policy. I did not let them hold the card. Insisted on my drivers license. Hope the general manager reads this. You will not last in this neighborhood treating customers like criminals. Wow. This could be the review for this knucklehead jersey den, or: 'beer aficionados beware!' I guess it's what you should expect from an 'ale house' by the mall...the 'craft' beer menu is 99% commercial garbage with few, if any independent brewers...corporate impostors for people who've recently ventured from Bud light and think the Coors-produced Blue Moon is good, rather than the effective reverse peristaltic that it is. Didn't think that market had grown enough to support an entire business though...only on LI. Real beer lovers know where to go to get the good stuff. KInd of a head-scratcher why they don't save themselves some overhead and cater to the crap beer crowd that packs the place already. read more

Why did the bartender hold onto my credit card? That was perplexing. Considering the number of beers they had on tap I couldn't find a good one. All citrus-y IPAs it seemed. Long wait for a table and we were seated in the back room with awful acoustics so everyone in the place was shouting. My order came out wrong- I wanted the 7 oz. flat iron with mandatory vegetable of the day and a baked potato butter only with an additional Caesar salad but they mis understand it making the vegetables be replace leaving me confused. Have been a few times with friends and the service reflects what a "step up from a dive bar" would be. The service very poor and the management style, lazy. Though there is a lot going on and it is a fast paced environment for anyone that works there, though everything lacks. Attending their outside seating I recieved no service for the better part of 20 to 25 min. When I did meet my server and he frantically asked me and my friends what we wanted to drink, I asked for a drink menu, or any menu. At this point he went to get the drink menu for 10 minutes and told me to "grab the menus off the table over there." I got it, it's okay, I got it dont worry. After enduring through all dry appetizers, our dinner order was taken AND THEN recieved our utensils. My entree (sandwhich) came with 13 French fries not even seasoned. After sitting there for one hour and 10 minutes me and my friends had one drink each (forgetting that all of our first drinks were insanely incorrect). The quickest thing to recieve was the check. Will not be back. Zero stars should be an option read more

Wednesday August 9th at about 11:00pm. We went to the back bar where we greeted by a waitress who was training (totally respect the grind) but she was knowledge less and knew nothing about the specials. After we waited 20 minutes for our beers we approached the rather "ugly" bartender and asked if we can grab the beers that were clearly sitting on the bar. He responded in a demeaning tone which truly insulted my well being. He began to curse and holler at me and my friends, it was truly disheartening. We knew we did nothing wrong so we assumed he is still upset about the Hillary Clinton Election loss and decided to take his anger out on us. I would not recommend this "restaurant" to a friend or coworker. read more

Went here on a Sunday night. Had to wait a 1/2 hr. Once we sat down server was attentive. Can't remember her name. We ordered the appetizer, chicken zingers, which were very good. Dinner we had burgers. Mine was the make your own burger. I wanted bbq sauce as one of my options and they forgot to put it on. The brisket burger was huge and tastey!! Ordered mojitos,which were perfect. Kids had typical kids meals. You really can't go wrong here. Good food, small price. I would highly recommend going here for a casual inexpensive dinner or lunch. Came in last night before the "big snow storm of 2017" to get some food before I was snowed in. Apparently everyone else had the same idea because it was pretty packed. I sat at the back bar where I was served by Amanda. She was awesome! Her bar was slammed and she seemed to be the only one bartending however that didn't stop how great the service was that she provided, always on top of the drinks when they were empty and the food came out on time which I was surprised again because it was so busy. She did a great job for the situation she was in and handled it like a pro. I don't usually like to leave reviews but when I get good service I jump on here and let whoever reads it know because that's the only way the server gets some honest appreciation. read more

Normally I go to millers in deer park. Today I was in route near the commack location. The food is decent, the bartender Christina was very kind and gave great service. she seems to be very good at what she does. she had a busy bar and was able to handle it. I am also in the industry and I feel that Christian is great at her job. I would most certainly come back. read more

These places are just fun. You'll never get gourmet food and the phrase "you want cheese with that?" was coined here. But you'll never leave hungry or thirsty and you get good value for the price. read more

My husband and I celebrated our son's 21st Birthday at Miller's Ale House, I made reservations for a party of 10 about 2 weeks in advance with Amanda- one of the managers. I told Amanda it was a surprise birthday celebration, and half of the guests would arrive first. Unfortunately, we got there before the others, but as soon as I explained the situation to Amanda she took care of everything so that the surprise wouldn't be spoiled.
