I fell in love with Miller's Ale House meatloaf years ago and still think about it. So I stopped in for lunch today (it's only available M-F 11AM-4PM) and it was just as good as I remembered. I love it so much. My server, Lindsay, was friendly, attentive, and quick. My food came out fast. Less than five minutes after ordering. The portion is generous and I always have leftovers to take home. The restaurant was clean from the dining area to the restroom and there's usually plenty of parking. Unfortunately, our lunch experience was underwhelming, largely due to the service from bartender Alex. Her demeanor felt very flat, almost as if she didn't want to be there, which set a dull tone from the beginning. The first thing we asked for was water, but it didn't arrive until after our appetizer came out, and only after I had to ask again. My cocktail also didn't match the description on the menu and tasted inconsistent with what was advertised. I had specifically asked for orange slices on the side, but they were placed directly in the glass instead. When I asked for drink recommendations, she lacked enthusiasm and didn't add much value. Another frustrating moment was when she attempted to clear our nachos while I was still eating them. Even after I told her I wasn't finished, she still took the plate containing all of the condiments, which disrupted the rest of the dish. The food itself was great, which made the service issues more noticeable. Overall, the lack of attentiveness and energy definitely dulled what could have been an enjoyable lunch, leaving the experience mediocre at best. I've gotten WAY better service at Twin Peaks, literally right next door. I suggest giving them a try instead. Especially if you're planning on sitting at the bar. We have been on a roll lately looking for good Happy Hours, for both drinks and appetizers. Friends invited us to a Miller's Ale House nearby. First of all, we sat at the bar, and the bartender was fabulous! Great service and friendly conversation! I wish I'd remembered her name, but I'll go back! It's a cozy, "Cheers" kind of place. Came in on a Tuesday night for a quick bite that wasn't so quick. It was just my husband and I and we were sat quickly and our server came by for our order quickly. This review is about my take out experience. I ordered wings for take out and when I arrived to the restaurant I stood waiting for a long time at the to-go stand. So many workers passed by without acknowledging me to find out if I been helped. Very bad service. Once I was finally helped and received my food, my 20 piece order of wings were only 8 wings in the box. I had to go back inside and tell the girl. Waited additional time for them to cook the remaining of my wings. No remorse from the girl nor nothing wasn't offered for the extreme inconvenience. After a long and exhausting morning of hard work, we came in hungry and ready to enjoy a good meal. Sadly, the experience was extremely disappointing. We sat at the bar and the bartender never made us feel welcome -- no smile, no warmth, and a dismissive attitude from the start. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare, but it came out overcooked to medium/medium well and was not enjoyable. What made it worse was that the bartender never once came back to check on us. Had she been attentive, I would have sent it back, but instead we were ignored the entire time. When people spend their hard-earned money to go out to eat, they expect respect, attentiveness, and a quality experience. Even a DoorDash driver gives a friendlier greeting and more care in delivering food than what we experienced here. Being that hungry and tired, the lack of service left me distraught and frustrated. Management should take a hard look at the standards being allowed at this location -- because right now, they are failing their customers. Until there's a clear improvement in service and accountability, I will not return, and I would strongly caution others to reconsider before dining here. read more

Recently came here to have a celebration and I'm glad we decided to stop here. It was rather empty for a Friday night which made me skeptical but when we got insane we were seated quickly and everything during the dinner was amazing (minus one little thing). The location is super easy to find and they have more than enough parking for everyone. If they do run out, you can park across the street and find more parking easily. Our waitress was super quick and gathered our drinks, appetizer and meal orders super quick. We decided to get the mozzarella sticks for the table and they were delivered super quick. The crunch of the bread coating was super wonderful and the cheese was melted perfectly and had a great cheese pull! The marinara sauce was pretty good but a little bit of a bite to it. I decided to get the queso burger and as much as I loved it, I do wish it was a little less cooked which they said they could only do well done. I also wish there was slightly more cheese on it because it was called a queso burger. It was super flavorful and the meat was juicy enough. Everything blended well together! When we ordered a dessert, the giant ice cream cookie, it never showed up and we sat for about ten minutes before our waitress came over, asking how it was. She had no idea it was never brought it. It did moments later by her, but the cookie was cold and the ice cream was a little melted so we knew it was sitting there. Overall the prices of the food were good and the beer specials are nice. Mixed drinks are a little pricey for the strength of them, my wife got one which was very lackluster. It's been awhile since I've been to Davie Ale House but it definitely felt like coming home when I went back. Was greeted and welcomed by Mickey the bartender. First impressions exceeded expectations. She introduced herself and asked our names. Next thing we knew we were talking like old friends who hadn't seen each other in years. She's friendly, service oriented, and thoroughly enjoys getting to to know people. Plus she makes a great Strawberry Long Island which not many bartenders can do. During our experience Vinny the GM checked on us and chatted about our experience. Absolutely amazing to have a GM who cares about the customers, staff, & overall location. Disaster written all over it. Every place was packed in the area but we were able to sit write down last evening which should have told us what we needed to know. Table for 7 15 minutes for waiter to show up. We order drinks and appetizers. We have no setups, no napkins, yet amazingly food shows up before any beverages. NIGHTMARE start. The Onion rings were actually very good. The Bavarian Pretzel was OK. The Pot Stickers were directly out of the "Costco" bag The Wings were decent. In short, the appetizers were OK, but getting drinks continued to be an issue, we couldn't get more napkins, and the service was just not good. Moving on Cobb Salad with Shrimp looked nothing like the special presented on the laminated menu. The Prime French dip sandwiches may have been the worst I've ever seen. Burnt to a crip looked like either cheese steak meat or store-bought roast beef with ice cold French fries and dishwater Au Ju. The "PRIME BURGERS" were burgers with "FRESH SHAVED PRIME RIB ON TOP" see description above, an absolute disgrace to burgers & prime rib. OH did I say the fries were ICE COLD? I have not visited this location in over 8 years but used to frequent here often. We decided to order delivery through DoorDash since we browsed their menu recently. I always liked their food and the variety of beers available. For this recent order though, we only ordered food because alcohol to go in most restaurants are bloody expensive. I was craving their zingers for a while and I like their fries so why not order the mountain??? Their Cajun ranch is really good too. Hubs decided on the zingers with Mac and cheese. The portions were not too small, which usually happened with to go orders. Although my zingers mountain hit the spot, it would have been better if it was delivered to our table in the restaurant. The Mac and cheese was not impressive to me but hubs seemed to enjoy it. From what I remember, I never experienced an issue in the restaurant. The servers are usually attentive and the orders are correct. I do wish they had a bigger space, along with outdoor seating. I visited this place with some friends for a late-night dinner. This is an excellent pub similar to Bdubs except much much better options for vegetarians. The pitchers are also really cheap so its a great place to watch sports and chill with friends. We ordered an assortment of items including the Mozzarella sticks, onion rings, loaded fries, spinach and cheese dip, and two of the desserts. I went to dinner here last Friday and had a decent meal. We ordered BBQ Chicken wings, which were fresh and tasty. Our waitress was very nice and quite attentive. The restaurant was clean, bright, and spacious. My mom got a French Dip with french fries that she said was good and a reasonable portion. I decided to try Snow Crab legs and found them to be fine, but I had had better at other locations. I had a salad for a side and a baked potato fully loaded. The sides were good, but the meal was average at best. I would come back again solely for the kind service and welcoming hostess in the front and try a different meal next time. read more

I have been to many Ale House locations in South Florida, and most of my experiences were good. Today we arrive in their Davie location after we finished shopping for new floors. Almost of the Ale House looks the same, and so is this one. You'd walk in through the front door and you can see isles of booths in front of you and the bar to your left. And we sat down at the bar as usual. We ordered our usual drink: a pitcher of Miller Lite because that's a good deal if you planned on drinking more than one pint. For food, I ordered one of my favorite dish: the 35 Fried Shrimps with Fries. The shrimps were cooked nicely with good flavors in the batters. I also like their fries because it was light and crispy. We normally receive good service sitting at the bar, and this trip was no different. The staff was nice and friendly and they kept coming back to check up on us on our food and drinks. Fajitas (steak and chicken) were awful. Flavor was almost rancid and it didn't come steaming it probably sat. Bacon Burger was ok but nothing special. Mac N cheese was yuck gross. It's like this weird flavor to everything. Husband had chicken lime fiesta and said his was good. Bonus daughter had chicken parm Alfredo and she said it was good. I've always been a huge fan of Ale House, mainly because of their late-night specials. From Sunday - Thursday after 10PM, the majority of their appetizers are $5, along with a happy hour drink menu. Located in Davie, just a few minutes from Nova, Ale House is in a busy plaza surrounded by a large selection of other restaurants. I came to this location with a friend for this deal; we were immediately seated and helped. For the food, we split the cost of three appetizers: loaded fries, fried calamari, and sweet thai chili zingers. Even though we had some additional requests, such as more sauces, our waitress was able to fulfill them quickly. As for the food, it's comparable to any other of their locations. Two of us ordered the ribs with cole slaw. One got mashed potatoes and and the other mixed vegetables. On person had the Osso Buco and the other a big dinner salad. I can say I haven't been in the place at least decade (10 Years) and nothing changed. The place looked the same. They sat us at booth, was like sitting on hard board, so uncomfortable, our server arrived and ordered ice tea, wife asked for Sweet' n Low pink stuff for ice tea, when it arrived, no straws no sugar sat and waited for her to return till we asked another server, and was told they don't have pink package of Sweet' n Low. I ordered a Hamburger medium cooked with mashed potatoes with no gravy, but when it arrived it was filled with gravy asked for another and when it arrived potatoes were cold. The Burger I cut open and it was well done, and waited for my server to return, but never returned, so I was hungry and ate it. Tasteless. The place wasn't busy, in fact empty, it was 4:30 PM. I even tried dressing it up with the zingers and sauces and veggies and it was still barely palatable. It came cold and congealed as well. Zingers were crispy and juicy but bland, fixable with sauces that we had on the side. Fries were mediocre at best, not a great texture and way too salty. I know it's just a chain restaurant so my expectations weren't sky high or anything but these are all just bar basics that should not be this easy to mess up!
