Lunch today did not disappoint, the food was flavorful and fresh. Our server Brandon was a delight. My son enjoyed the lamb chops so much I had to take the chop bone from his hand. We were happy to be back. Food and Ambiance was great. The Sklavenitis family does it right.
I went to both locations the one in Hollywood and the one in Davie and University. Both restaurant had good customer service and the food taste very good at both locations . Right now they have a special menu August 1st til September 1st. $45.00 for 3 course meal. The portions were good size. My favorite are the roasted chicken and the lemon potatoes. The ambiance of both locations are the same very clean esthetics with a modern European inside. They do have outside seating which is great to have options.
Stopped by here for dinner with a couple of friends. The interior was lovely with pretty hanging lights, a sleek bar area, with touches of colorful flowers, plenty of tables and chairs, including booth seats. We were given comfortable booth seating. There was a classy ambiance to the place. We received complimentary bread, served with olive oil and spices mixed in. The olive oil was full of bold flavor. I was craving Saganaki, so got that for the appetizer. It was tough to choose the main course though. I finally ordered the 4 piece Grilled Lamb Chops with roasted lemon potatoes and asparagus. The Saganaki was pan seared fried cheese, drizzled with fresh lemon. It was tasty, but wish it was served with toasty pita bread, or something to soak it up in (besides the regular bread). It had a delightfully crispy exterior, and was melty, satisfyingly gooey, with impressive cheese pull. The Lamb Chops had perfect grill marks, were oh so tender and juicy, and well seasoned. Potatoes and asparagus were fresh and cooked well. Potatoes boasted delicate lemon taste with warm spices. Such a delicious, hearty dish! I got to try the Spicy Feta Encrusted Wild Caught Salmon, which came with grilled vegetable grilled orzo. This was a lighter meal, and just as yummy. The Salmon was wonderfully succulent, flaky and the feta crust was irresistible. Orzo was nicely savory and fluffy. I also had some Zucchini Fries and Greek Fries, which were super crispy, as well as addicting. For once, I was too full for dessert, but definitely regret not getting the Fried Feta in phyllo dough with honey. Service was excellent. Our waiter was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything came out in a timely manner and we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Prices were reasonable. If I get a chance to return, I would like to try the Greek Style Baby Back Ribs, Branzino, and of course, the Fried Feta.
Located in the plaza on the corner of University and Stirling, this Greek joint is consistent, tasty, and friendly. Have been a couple times for lunch and staff is usually friendly, plentiful, and helpful with any questions or requests. The food is always tasty and fresh with good lunch options. Not sure what they put in the oil they serve with the bread, but it's pretty addictive! Haven't had room for dessert but will get to it one day.
I enjoyed my chicken kabob meal (with chosen sides of briam and rice pilaf) at this attractive restaurant (with comfortable seating both inside and on the patio). My server was friendly, professional, and attentive, and prices were reasonable for the quality/quantity of food and the ambiance. I did find my meal a bit oily for my palate, though this is often case at Greek restaurants. I was undecided between 4* and 5*, but I'm rounding up for one reason: the complimentary bread (served with a very tasty and interesting herbed oil) might have been the best I've had at a restaurant this year.
Definitely make a reservation for the weekend! We ended up sitting outside, which actually worked because it was quieter out there so we can hear our company. Everybody loved their meal! The service was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We had entrées that were huge and the next day we can still taste the garlic. But in a good way! When I'm back in the area, I will definitely make sure to go have another delicious meal! They do have a bar that was quite busy as well if you're in the area, go check it out! Enjoy!
Glad we gave this place a second chance. We dined here soon after its opening and were not impressed. I kept hearing good things about it so we gave it another shot. This Greek Joint location is very pretty. We enjoyed our meals. The Chicken Keftedes were excellent and our mains (we both ordered 1/2 chicken) were very good. Loved the grilled veggies. Service was very friendly and efficient.
Such a delicious Greek joint!!! I get the name!! ++ hummus with pita ++ chicken kebab with rice and house salad ++ stuffed grape leaves Definitely looking to come back and try the spanakopita. I'm used to the Lebanese grape leaves being vegetarian, I didn't read the description so it was a beefy surprise in the Greek grape leaves to see them stuffed with beef inside. A delicious surprise! But reading is fundamental!!! Yummy spot, lots of free plaza parking. They have lots of outdoor seating and space inside. Staff is friendly, overall positive experience.
It wasn't too busy when we went on a Saturday night as we went early. We were seated promptly and the server came over with menus. The ambiance is really nice and relaxed inside. I ordered a glass of Greek wine, as it's hard to find Greek wine overall, and we drank a lot of wine in Greece! They bring your bread with a family dip, and while we enjoyed the bread, the dip was not to our liking. We ordered the Family Dinner for 2, - $49.00, which included a Greek salad, Shrimp Santorini -(Sautéed in garlic, tomatoes and Feta cheese in a marinara sauce); Four Dip Platter ( which oddly has 3 dips and pita bread) - Tzatziki, Humus & Kafteri; Chicken & pork souvlaki; medium rare Filet mignon kebabs, baby back ribs and lamb chops. Served with asparagus and potatoes. It was a LOT of food but we enjoyed it. The filet Mignon was perfect! Medium rare and very tasty. The asparagus and potatoes were delicious! It was all good but the Shrimp Santorini had a bit too much tomato and feta - you could not taste the shrimp at all. And I didn't like the baby back ribs. I thought they were very dry. We enjoyed the dinner very much and will definitely be returning tp try more things. I also heard their Happy Hour bar bites were great!
With an unassuming name like The Greek Joint, I didn't have high expectations in finding great authentic greek food... but I was wrong. The restaurant had a modern feel with rustic accents. This is the perfect place to take a date. The prices were very reasonable as well. A dinner for two with drinks will likely run $100, less than I would expect in So. Fla. We got the Saganaki Cheese (which I am used to having as a flaming Sagaki. Apparently there was a mishap the fire marshal didn't like too much. ). With that being said, it's served sizzling hot as was still fantastic even without the theatrics of of being served flaming. We also got the Lamb and Beef pita with french fries and a greek salad. It was one of the better ones i've had, the meat was tender and flavorful, with a crispy and doughy pita. While the fries were crispy and seasoned well. The greek salad was also fresh and flavorful. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately and sat quickly. The service was impeccable, and I wish I remembered the name of the young man who served us, as he was both funny and friendly, while have a good knowledge of the menu. If you want great greek food in Davie... this is your spot.
This is a nice Greek spot. The service here was great and very attentive. We ordered the four dip platter for an appetizer and it was great. For our entrees, we ordered the filet mignon kebabs and the moussaka. The kebabs were extremely tender and cooked just right. The moussaka was amazing and a huge portion that we had to take home. Just be warned that they have limited amounts they make per day, so check to see if they have any left if you plan on ordering. I can't wait to come back here when I have a craving for good Greek food.
Perfect Greek! Fava hummus (aka "dip") delicious taste of the Favas came through. Shrimp cooked perfectly. Small Greek salad.....Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, greek olives , red peppers perfectly dressed. Glass of Dough Chardonnay...nice compliment. Next time I'm in Plantation/Davie, I will definitely be back!
Always a 10/10. Happy hour is a 20/10. The food is always delicious and the service is always amazing and the dining area is beautiful ! I could eat here everyday and be happy! The orange sausage- omg heavenly. I don't usually like orange or sausages but two negatives equal a positive???? Well it definitely did. I can't stop thinking about it!!!!!! Everyone has to try this. And the octopus toast- chefs kiss!!!

After spending the morning shopping at the nearby nurseries stopped for a quick bite. ordered different things that would have a variety of flavor profiles and textures. Outside seating was perfect for our garden casual attire. ;) Anthony was our server and we kept saying "finally a restaurant with good service" thank you Anthony. Ordered: Melizanosalata (garlic & eggplant dip) w/ soft pita Zucchini fries w/ avocado tzatziki Mamas tiropita Grape leaves (the best I've had at a restaurant. Sometimes you just need a good dinner with your Bestie so you can sit, eat, drink some wine, and catch up on EVERYTHING! The ambiance was really nice--comfortable, relaxed, and a great setting for a long dinner and lots of conversation. My Bestie had been here before, but this was my first time. Of course, we had to start with a couple glasses of wine and some appetizers. Before our food came out, they brought us a basket of bread with herbed oil for dipping. Let me just say...YUMMY! I could have made a meal out of that alone. We ordered the grilled pineapple with feta and other cheeses, focaccia, and a honey drizzle, and WOW! The combination of sweet, salty, creamy, and savory was so good. Definitely one of my favorites of the night. For dinner, I ordered the lamb chops with asparagus and lemon potatoes, and my Bestie had the half chicken with lemon potatoes. Both were really good and hit the spot. And because we always need to leave a little room for dessert , we shared the thick Greek yogurt with walnuts and honey drizzle. Simple, but sooo delicious! Overall, it was a really good experience. Nothing rushed, good food, wine, and a nice atmosphere--and most importantly, plenty of time for my Bestie and me to sit and catch up. read more

The Greek Joint in Davie is an unexpected treasure! We went for lunch on a Saturday and were surprised it was pretty empty, the space is super clean with a modern, welcoming vibe. The staff was super attentive without hovering, which I always appreciate. We started with the four dip appetizer with warm, fluffy pita -- every dip was packed with flavor and tasted so fresh. For our mains, we had the lamb and beef pita with a side salad and fries (everything seasoned perfectly) and the moussaka, which was rich, and comforting. Everything was absolutely delicious -- fresh and flavorful If you're craving authentic, high-quality Greek food, this place needs to be on your list. We'll definitely be back! read more

loved everything about this joint. the ambiance, the service, the food all 10/10. We went on a busy Friday night and were seated within 2 minutes, our server was attentive and knowledgeable, the place was hustling and bustling with bar patrons enjoying their night and the lightly dimmed decor with beautiful flower art on the walls. we decided on a few popular dishes to start we got the hummus, tazaki, feta, and eggplant with pita all that were amazing, the grape leaves were larger then i imagined and sooo good. I ordered the lamb chops which are my favorite and they were cooked to perfection. we also tried the chicken and hubby ordered a lamb wrap. this place was yummy. will definitely come back read more
On day 6, we discovered @greekjointdavie in Davie, FL, & their happy hour menu was insane! Daniel at the bar provided wonderful service. Fresh warm bread with dipping sauce was a lovely touch. I loved the dirty feta martini, & my friend enjoyed her margarita. Our meal consisted of gyro cups, lamb & beef Greek quesadilla, & beef & chicken meatballs - everything was flavorful. Greek Joint is so chic and stylish. This is such an unexpected gem. We ordered the 4 dip appetizer with warm and fluffy pita. All 4 dips were delicious and tasty. The moussaka takes about 20 mins for the order, but totally worth the wait. The potato to eggplant to meat is the perfect ratio and absolutely delicious. read more

The decor was beautiful. The restaurant had a fresh and relaxing ambiance. The hostesses and server were very attentive and friendly. We started with the menizanosalata dip. They had the option of pita bread and cucumbers, which I thought was a perfect pairing for people who want to maintain a low carb diet. The grilled octopus was tender and had the perfect amount of char. My husband had a lovely traditional Greek salad with gyro. Our favorite dish was the seafood medley. The broth was so rich and flavorful. I wanted to drink it like a soup. The toasted focaccia was the perfect vehicle to soak it all up. There was a huge prawn and a bounty of other seafood- sea bass, calamari, mussels and shrimp. We ended our meal with a sweet and flaky baklava. We will definitely be returning. read more

Had a lovely lunch here a week ago. Never been before. Beautiful, clean ambience. Welcoming, friendly, attentive service. As soon as we were seated, delicious, bread, fresh out of the oven was brought to the table with a small dish of aromatic, herbal, olive oil. My friend and I made short work of scarfing down that basket (we were hungry!) and our waitress brought more without even asking! (Okay, so no bread tomorrow! It was absolutely worth it!!) We ordered off the lunch special menu and shared a delicious buttery branzino filet on a bed of fresh asparagas and a generous grilled chicken salad on spring mix and replaced the rice for the branzino with a greek side salad. Saw many other menu items that I need to come back and try! Highly recommend! Lunch special or dinner. Very accommodating! read more
Well, we came back to try it again since we were going to a concert at the Hard Rock! Didn't disappoint. Split the chicken kebab with my husband it was plenty of food. Chicken, salad, rice and they served bread with an olive oil type to dip in (delicious). There is another location and I made a reservation at that one in Hollywood by mistake but it was not a problem! Very good! read more

We stopped into The Greek Joint when they first opened last April 2023. I remember driving by this location by accident, as I frequent Target next door. I've heard people talk about the original Greet Joint location in Hollywood but we have never been. We're always looking for delicious Greek or Mediterranean restaurants as we went to in Santorini for our honeymoon and the food is UNREAL!!! This place is very nice and I dig the simple and modern decor of the space. The patio dining area is very spacious. For the interior dining area, they have booths and tables. The bar is located in the back by the kitchen and bathroom. The food is delicious and authentic. The cocktails are flowing. We've had several different items on a few visits here. We've tried the following: * Four Dip Platter * Greek Salad * Chicken Souvlaki Sticks * Moussaka * Grilled Octopus * Stuffed Grape Leaves * Shrimp Santorini * Grilled Lamb Chops * Grilled Whole Branzino My favorite dishes are definitely the Four Dip Platter, Greek Salad, Grilled Lamb Chops and Grilled Whole Branzino. Everything was quite tasty. The Grilled Lamb Chops and Grilled Whole Branzino were cooked to perfection and had such great flavor all in all. The Grilled Octopus was great the first time around. The second time we had the octopus, it was just ok. I think it was the texture second time around that was meh. I remember the Chicken Souvlaki Sticks were a bit dry and the kids didn't even finish the dish. Moussaka was ok but it didn't blow my mind. The Stuffed Grape Leaves were too mushy for my liking. The Santorini Shrimp was delicious huge pieces of shrimp but the sauce was lacking. Overall, we really enjoyed The Greek Joint and it's nice and local.The vibe and service here is wonderful. The last time we were here, Bianca was our server and she was wonderful. Always smiling and accommodating. Very friendly. We'll be back to try other menu items. Mediterranean food is the best!
