My mom actually made the suggestion for Miller's on this evening due to their prime rib special on Thursdays. I've been to Miller's many times in the past whether it's for their killer wings or underrated burgers. Never have I had a meat and side dish from here so this was a little new. They had a 12 oz or 16 oz option for the prime rib. I went with the 16 oz because I was hungry. This was such a huge slice of perfectly cooked prime rib with a very well seasoned outer crust. I especially liked that it wasn't such a fatty cut. As for my side I got their rice and It was just okay to be honest. Not much flavor and the corn wasn't giving me much. Seven of us ladies went to lunch there today. The food and service were good. We requested separate checks, since we all ordered differently priced items. They said they could not give us separate checks, and that is when the nightmare began! I'm a regular at Millers and I'm a big fan. However, I'm posting a bit of a negative review to hopefully get this improved upon. My wife ordered a filet mignon, and it was so tiny! Millers has always been a great value. Very good food and drinks at a great price. Please don't change that! Take a look at this steak. ($26.49) Very tiny! Should have been at least 1/3 bigger. Also as has happened many times before, after we get served our food and drinks, we feel we then get ignored and often have to wait 20 minutes for the bar tenders to come around and see if we want more drinks or to get out checks. I understand the bar tenders are very busy, and they don't want to rush customers but instead of congregating and talking should be checking on customers more frequently. It's a tough job, I get it, but hey can do better. Also on a previous visit I order a rib eye and it was very tough and chewy. They took it back and gave me a different kind of steak, and offered ice cream as a consolation prize. But maybe not charge for the 2nd steak? Not sure about that one. read more

Last Saturday August 8 was my second time at this location the food was horrible and the portion of fries was close to none with our burgers. Man, I'm done with this place. Haven't been there in about seven months came and figured I'd get the rib special. She asked me if I what I want with the ribs I said can you do a salad instead of the fries? It's been a minute since I've been at a Miller's Ale House. Come to think of it, I don't think I've been to this location. This was a good central spot on the Island to meet a friend coming from out east so this worked. After shopping a bit at the outlets, we were famished, so we decided to pop in. The scene is what you would expect on any early afternoon weekday. There were only a few diners and a few servers around. The server we had was a gentleman who was a bit curt but fine just the same. Usually I'll get an order of Zingers (their version of sauced up chicken fingers) but not this time. We ended up just getting a bunch of things to split including chicken nachos, mozz sticks, fries and the big pretzel. The chicken on the nachos were shredded and pretty good. We went on a day trip to Deer Park on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving and we were very hungry so we went to the nearest restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was spaced out and all staff wore masks and gloves. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. My personal history of eating at Miller's Ale is the amount of food that is given. The lunch specials that this particular location offered was refreshing as portion sizes were just about right. The prices were reflected of it which is a plus. We definitely enjoyed our food. I really liked the fish and chips lunch special because the fish was very crispy and I devoured it. Honestly, if I had to choose what my last meal would be, it would be the Prime Burger with sweet potato fries from Miller's Ale House! There were, of course, an extra side of regular fries. Fries were seasoned and fried almost to perfection (sorry, fries, but I preferred your cousin, the sweet potato!). Of course, after devouring this +1300kcal meal, I wanted dessert. Danielle had put the order of Ghirardelli Chocolate Brownie Sundae for us. Brownie so fresh, hot, chewy yet crispy topped with ice cream, whipped cream and EXTRA chocolate syrup had me questioning why I haven't discovered this place the moment I stepped into New York.
