We came here on Saturday for my birthday brunch and Achilleas (our waiter) alone would bring us back! Aside from the delicious food, he is the main reason for this 5 star review. At first I was somewhat bummed we missed the DJ night on Friday and Sunday brunch but one of the coworkers said "you came on a good day, Achilleas is your waiter." I didn't know that meant much at the time but Achilleas absolutely did not disappoint. He brought humor, laughs and our food, what was not to love? He continued to impress us from remembering our whole party's names, orders and all small facts about each individual one of us. He kept us laughing so hard that even my friend suggested they advertise "Achilleas Night" on the front door. Now to talk about the amazing food... to begin, if you didn't order the French Toast Sticks for an appetizer, YA DONE MESSED UPPP!! Go back, and order two of them, maybe three (it's 6 huge pieces each - not the time to count calories) ! I don't do French toast but I'd never go against the crew and I'm glad I didn't pick this day to waver. They were perfectly sweet, crunchy, warm & doughy . Then just when I thought we were done, Achilleas slides out with two complimentary desserts, one for me (birthday) and another for my two friends that had a big engagement that we are still celebrating! The complimentary cake was surprisingly delicious. It was vanilla birthday cake served warm with a scoop of ice cream, sprinkles and whip cream and my mouth is still watering over it. Great service and fantastic cocktails. We had the bang bang shrimp and spinach artichoke dip for apps. Both very good. I had the tuna special and it was not the best I've ever had. One half was good the other was very stringy and tough. Think I just got unlucky with the piece. Was cooked fine but wasn't impressed with how it was dressed either. We love Harleys American Grille! We've dinned here about 3 times in the past year and our server always happens to be Jessie! He is a great server with a fabulous memory and great customer service! We have dinned here during the price fix menu which is definitely appealing since the price includes an appetizer, main course and dessert! My sister had the blueberry lemon martini and Jessie said it was the #1 ordered drink and it was delicious. I don't like martinis but that was SO good. The restaurant has a sophisticated, swanky vibe. It's a beautiful restaurant with mixed booth and table seating. There is a nice size bar and there are times with live music as well. We were here on a Friday night, the day after New Years Day, it was busy, very busy but the service was great. Our server, Jamie, was great. All smiles, a warmth. She took our order and made sure to deal with my wife's order which needed to be garlic free. She checked with each of us for allergies. She then took our drink order and brought them back and took our orders. After the food was brought out she passed by maybe every ten minutes or so throughout the night to check on us. It was such a nice feeling to know that she didn't forget about us on such a busy night and smiled through the whole time. The food is very good but this is not a low priced restaurant. Prices are medium to high. $39 for lobster pasta, $36 for pappardelle bolognese, drinks average about $18 each. But the food is great and worth it. Went to the new location on Jericho in Huntington- service top notch, except the one helper kept reaching over our plates instead of walking to other side of table so her reach wouldn't put elbows and hot drinks like coffee and plates over my face and lap. We were a 4 top table and had room on both sides for helper to serve more efficiency. The meatballs were the standout a 10 outa 10 for sure- probabaly the best I ever had at a restaurant including Moroni's in Northport which won all sorts of awards for their meatballs - this place makes em better- the sauce and ricotta cheese were perfect complements to these gluten free meat balls not made with bread crumbs but with potatoes! WOW amazing taste from a combination of different meats and perfect spices added. 10 out of 10 just go there for the meatballs and you will be set! Ok so we also had bang bang shrimp - very good- spicy mild but cooked nicely - its fried I hope they use tallow to cook bc I hate seed oils- anyway- the pork chop chop martini was ok not great- it was nothing compared to #1 spot Robkes. It was dry and sauce uninspired complement. The NY strip I ordered was cooked perfectly med rare but was way over salated and I love salt but this was really overly salty. So was creamed spinach- they took the spinach back and the over cooked dry pork chop martini and took em off bill. Hopefully we will be back so we can try the meatballs again - maybe with other dishes. What was supposed to be a quick stop before heading to a lounge in Brooklyn turned into a two hour detour filled with rum, Guinness, and endless espresso martinis; curtesy to the youngin sitting next to me, very determined to get everyone at the bar more than a little tipsy. The bartender was super cool and engaging, creating a great vibe that had everyone enjoying each other's company. The drinks were strong but deceptively smooth--they definitely sneak up on you! Haven't visited this establishment in over 4 years and decided to give them another chance. The food was bad last time and even worse this time. I cannot comprehend why the calamari appetizer was treated like a salad, so many things on top and that sauce with Parmesan cheese on top did not belong on that plate; spinach artichoke dip was as flavorless as can be; I was very excited for buratta with some prosciutto but it fell flat flavor wise . Seafood linguine was bad, the pork chop was overcooked and soooo salty and so was the mashed potato- I could not believe it ; the skirt steak came out the wrong temperature the first time; second time the temp was okay but it was just so sour, terrible chimichurri and creamed corn. Did not enjoy the meal at all. The waitress definitely needs to rely more on pen and paper to write down orders as she repeated every single order wrong. I will never come back here again. read more

Very disappointing considering the reviews they have here. I called on mothers day for a table for 4 host said they had plenty tables and no need for reservation only to arrive 15mins later and get asked for a reservation even though there were plenty tables so they sat us in a high table by the bar. Our weitress was friendly and sweet but most importantly our drinks and steaks werent. My pinapple sage margarita was straight tequila i couldnt deink more than the first sip. So was my husbands drink. Then our steaks price point $59 each and we got the food within 10 minutes. Not freadh at all to say the least. The lobster bisque soup suppose was so salty and not the best flavor. It was $24 and then I had a salad with shrimp. I ate maybe a quarter of it. At Harleys on Main Street in Farmingdale NY. They have weekend Brunch. Made a reservation for Sunday at noon. I had been recommended to try this place. I was not disappointed. They have an interesting selection on their menu. The staff is really friendly and served well. As it was wind gust kept blowing things as menus and napkins which the waiters kindly brought back. The people are dog friendly and bring ice water for the dog. The crispy artichoke salad I ordered along with the best scrimp I've had in a long time was delicious and filling. The appetizer of whipped burrata was equally displayed and tasty. There was a DJ playing music inside the restaurant as well. Their signs note private events as well. I plan to come back. read more

This place was disappointing. I lived in Farmingdale for over a year and never had the desire to try this place. But after a long day, I had steak on my mind for dinner. Stopped in on a Saturday about 7, took a seat at the bar. Bartenders aren't very personable. My drink was strong but I didn't care for it much. I absolutely loved the fried gnocchi with the truffle aioli. They should offer a side serving of the sauce, there wasn't enough sauce for each bite. Steak took a little long to come out. They must of left it on the grill too long. I ordered a medium, NY strip. As I cut into my steak, I was extremely disappointed. It wasn't medium at all! It was medium well to well done at the ends. I'm not one to send food back to the kitchen. I informed the bartender, she agreed that it wasn't medium. Did very little to rectify the fact my steak was very cooked. Just said I would let the kitchen know. Whatever. After my jaw got a work out from the over cooked steak. I took a look at dessert menu, nothing wowed me so I asked for check and left. Harleys' opened up just as my time living in Farmingdale was coming to an end. It was an interesting addition to the already bustling Main Street. Years later, I finally was given the opportunity to try this place and I have to say, it was an incredible experience and a great spot for a special evening out or just a very nice meal. Reservations were made, but I don't think it was needed on a Thursday night. I started with an old fashion and some of their crispy bread. The olive oil left on the table was better than the bread. It was infused and delicious. The bacon slab was ordered, and although slightly fatty it was still tasty. My friend and I split the crispy artichoke salad which hit the spot! For the main event, I went with the lobster pasta. I always crave lobster this time of year and this pasta was so good that is also went perfectly with the entirety of this meal. It definitely had a kick and was not heavy in slightest. What a great meal! For dessert there was a skillet brownies, which wasn't anything special. Service was impeccable and the place itself is athletically sleek, modern and just beautiful. All in all a solid dining experience and another cool spot for the ever growing Main Street. WOW, all I will say is this place is busy on a Sunday! So many birthdays, celebrations, and a dj was playing in the front where people was dancing. I dined at Harley's today for my friend's birthday. I've been there before & had great experiences. The food was delicious. Especially the whipped burrata. Our server Jolene was attentive and friendly. However, the manager came over once and said something which we couldn't hear. Apparently they did have a reservation for the table. We got up to dance one more time and when we came back to the table, our things had been moved to the hostess stand and there were people sitting at the table. When we asked to speak to the manager and told him it was inappropriate to touch a guest's personal belongings, he said he apologized but that he "felt attacked" and didn't seem to think there was a problem. We had also asked the waitress to split the check a certain way and she split it in three equal parts, which wasn't what we had asked. I had the pleasure of checking out Harleys on a Saturday night. We went around 8, which was towards the end of the dinner rush. We were seated right away and the waitstaff were kind and attentive. We ordered cocktails - I tried the Hot Honey Peach Margarita which was yummy and not at all spicy. We split their classic calamari which was as to be expected, and cooked to perfection. The star of the show though was my main entree which was their Braised Short Ribs with Korean barbecue, scallion slaw and kimchi mashed potatoes. The dish was excellent, it had a nice kick without being too spicy and I'm still dreaming about the potatoes. The only thing I'd take maybe half a star off for was, we were sat behind the bar, and the ambience was as to be expected on a Saturday night. The only thing that was a bit annoying but not a dealbreaker was there were some gnats flying around, which is to be expected during the summer but my guess is they were attracted to the sweetness of the liquor at the bar next to us - but again, far from ruining the great experience. First experience at Harley's! Overall very pleased. We started with the crispy artichoke salad, which we really enjoyed - also, we told them we were splitting and they brought it in two bowls, which is always appreciated! I had the branzino and dad had the boneless strip. I thought the branzino was wonderful and light, he enjoyed his steak but thought the cut was too fatty (I agree). Mashed potatoes were fab!
