I came to share my experience from last night, which considering how busy a place like Miller's would be on a Saturday with lots of sports going on was a great experience. Friendly, food came out hot and tasted good, games were going on the TVs. The only issue was a large group of people from a wedding (the bride wore her dress, to Millers Ale House? What?) who were extremely rude, demanding and obnoxious in the bar. Looks like they all decided to come to Yelp to complain. They were drunk obnoxious losers who tried to make everybody's experience awful and now want to harm the integrity of the business. Millers, great work in making my enjoyment of the sports with my friends great despite the tests they provided, HIGHLY recommend. read more

Ordered online and called immediately to make two small changes since the app wouldn't allow modifications: a side of sauce and onion strings on my burger. I was told both would cost $1 each, which is fine. When I picked up the order, I confirmed before leaving that everything was added and was told yes. Got home and the onion strings were missing. Plenty of drinks from beers to wines to margaritas and soft drinks of your liking. Stopped in for quick drinks and something sweet. The restaurant had a Simple menu with a full bar. The bar Definitely had a lot of traffic considering the highway right up the street and locals. Staff were friendly and polite. Wouldn't mind checking them out again! read more

I ordered a rib dinner for delivery and it said it comes with cole slaw and a 1 side of my choice. NEVER received the cole slaw but did receive a full slab that was overcooked and burnt with a sauce that tasted like someone spilled a ton of salt all over the ribs. I ate a few but it was so salty I threw them out. I talked to the manager by phone who put me on hold to go back to his office but was disconnected. He never attempted to call me back. I've always loved Miller's Ale House. Years ago, when I lived in Florida, I had one within walking distance of my apartment. I would go four or five times a week and was basically a regular. Recently, I found myself back in town for work and was ecstatic to learn there was a Miller's not far from my hotel. I walked in and instantly got hit with a wave of nostalgia because it felt just like the old Miller's I used to frequent. I grabbed a seat at the bar, watched the Broncos beat the Commanders, and had an awesome time. The bartender Serena was fantastic, super attentive, genuinely friendly, and clearly someone with a loyal group of regulars who come in just to see her. I honestly can't wait to go back. First visit was a disappointment for a few of us. They weren't able to offer our party of 7 a table and tried to stick 7 seniors in a booth. It was early evening and virtually no one was in the dining room. We settled on 2 booths across from one another. Server was nice but had to ask several times for items. Made no attempt at filling our drinks and never checked if everything was satisfactory with our food. My steak was a disappointment and not a great flavor, definitely a cheap cut of a ribeye. Couple of us got their Tuesday Rib dinner special. Tiniest slab of ribs I have ever seen and they complained that they were bone dry. I certainly don't think we'll ever be back. read more

I came with my wife the last night(06/12/26) we sat at the bar at the end. I picked seats that show both the World Cup and the final Knicks and Spurs game at the end of the bar. The other couple sat down, they changed the World Cup game to Cubs, I immediately asked to change back to WC, then they changed the bastketball game to cubs(the other couple confirmed that they want to see WC game as well, the couple said "WP time no one cares about baseball"). I was talking to a young manager, I can tell he is new because I have never seen him. I have been coming to this place for years. I have asked why keep putting cubs game on the last two side TVs that I and other couple has visibility. He said other people requested. I asked which table(s), he stuttered and ask why does it matter, you can't have your way there are other people. Are you kidding me? I would had no issue if he tells me the table and it makes sense. I have worked in food industry for years, I have switched to fully observing what they are doing, my night was ruined! The two high top tables had 5-6 tvs around and the bar top was blocking them to see those two tvs, so it made no sense. I observed the kitchen guys and the manager. If your employees want to watch the game and you lie to customer this is messed up. He shouldn't be a manger if he can't watch his tone. I end up watching basketball sideways because they can't put a final basketball game! Employees shouldn't be on their phones, making videos of the last seconds of the nba games. It annoyed because I had no direct visibility to the game. I have tipped 20% anyways. The new bartender, no smile, you could tell she didn't want to there(saw other negative review on yelp, probably had a bad day). I would have tipped less, but didn't want to punish the little bartender because she is really good! A lot of new employees. We are not coming back for the UFC night tonight. read more

Had no reservation and just a walk in. Got seated right away and it didn't seem that busy either inside. A bit gloomy inside with not much lighting but it'll do. Table was clean and so were the booths. Waited about 10 minutes for a server but she got drinks right away. When looking at the menu they seemed to have downsized, didn't seem like as much options as before. I got a ginger beer and water and didn't really enjoy the brand of ginger beer they were using here. But it had to do. For appetizer we got an order of mozzarella sticks. They were a 7/10, could use some more seasoning on the mozzarella sticks but the sauce was good to dip it in. You get 9 for $11 or $12 so it wasn't that bad of price. For entree I got a cheeseburger medium and it was cooked well. Had to put it together as it came with the lettuce and others on the side. All of it together it was good on one half and the other half was all mush. The fries were okay too. Miller's has a lively, fun vibe. 2 bars and a 1000 TV's! Well, maybe not a thousand TV's, but you get my point. Typically if I'm at a sports bar I don't expect a lot of choices on the menu and certainly don't expect the food to be great. Millers is different. A large menu selection of meals that are actually very good! I've not had a bad meal there yet! Service is always prompt and courteous. I was quite surprised the sauce that it comes with is so delicious. We also had the bacon cheeseburger. The fries were a little too salty, but we're good. I came here with my boyfriend at around 10 pm on a Friday. I expected it to be busy, but it wasn't nearly as busy as I thought, although it is a large restaurant. Most people were sitting around the bar or booths near the bar area, like we were. This place has tons of TVs with sports being shown. Our server was attentive and kind, and there were no problems with our food or drinks. We both ordered the 35 fried shrimp entree. So I stopped coming in here a few years ago because from personal experiences of dealing with trashy servers and bartenders, I just kind of gave up thinking that this place could bounce back! I'm here writing this review because I've been here 4 times in the last 3 weeks, and I have to say that I am very impressed that I see a new energetic Manager, Brent who was a total welcoming gentleman the first day he sat me at the bar as he hand delivered my order. Brent told me that he didn't recognize me and had asked me if I'd ever been here before. I stated to him that I haven't been in , in over a year because of past issues. Brent was receptive to my feedback and truly showed his professionalism in making sure that staff was doing their jobs instead of sitting down and being on their phones (which 1000% was an issue here 2 years ago!). He made sure my food was hot and satisfactory to my liking, and even gave me his card and told me to reach out of their were any future issues because he stated that he really wants to improve service here !! The next three times thereafter, Brent has left the kitchen and has come over to shake my hand over and over again and say "hi" and "thanks for coming back!" Tonight I came in and Christina was behind the bar and she was hands down amazing - very attentive and welcoming from the second I sat down. Before in the past I would see bartenders nowhere around and hanging out at the table and/or at the other bar on the patio. This has NOT been the case the last 4 times here, because of Bar Managers like Brent and his amazing bartenders , Christina and Meghan. Was staying nearby for work and walked here from the hotel. If you are the Embassy Suites you can cut through the lots. Sat at the bar, staff was super friendly and lots of beers on tap. I had the Big Red (buffalo chicken Sammy) it was delicious and I'd say was comparable to a medium wing sauce. The melted cheese was a great touch as was the sesame seed bun. Great place to hangout with friends with lots of pitcher deals both beer/sangria/margs/mules etc! Can't beat a pitcher of beer for $10 to share. Trivia is well organized and having it on their +60 TVs helps!! We could hear the host and submit answers on our phones which is less of a mad rush compared to other bar trivia gaming. Food is your typical bar food, but still done well - I enjoyed their quesadilla and Wed wing specials. When we left, they give customers scratch-offs offering coupon deals like free donuts or chicken tenders or a few bucks off. Awesome spot to hangout with friends and is family friendly - we had a 1 year old with us and high seats were available. Hosted a large Shower here, in the private dining room, and everything was fantastic! The private room has a large bar, fireplace, windows all around, and a bank of TVs (that staff kindly turned off for our party). We were able to use their sound system for our own playlist, the music system was clear and really added to vibe! The bartenders for our event were fantastic, the buffet food was very good (plenty of guests went up for seconds). Miller's was great to work with and we were able to set up our own decor. Went here a few days ago for dinner and to watch Duke basketball game. Wish I could remember our server's name, she was awesome!! Food was awesome, way better than the Miller's in North Riverside that closed. Food was so good, I wanted to order another of the fish sandwich I ordered, that is how good food was, my fish was cooked perfectly!! My wife liked her Zingers too. I always come here but I had a really phenomenal server Julie who was on top of her game. It's a great place to go if you want some late night drinks or some good food. I always get the Zinger Salad with ranch so delicious. Their Potsticker are to die for I can't stop thinking about them since I left last night. I consider this restaurant a hidden gem in our neighborhood! It's our second time in a week to eat here. We did our early Valentine's date here on Saturday the 12th after driving (and calling) around to the usual date-night spots that all had an over 2-hour wait time! My husband remembered that we ate at Miller's the first time when we did a staycation at the Westin maybe 2-3 years ago. It was such a great experience. It was filled mostly with families with kiddos that night. Tonight it's quieter and the food is amazing, just like last Saturday. Came here on a whim for a bite to eat and after being seated, we were left unattended for about 10 minutes. We were hungry and had children 5 and younger, so 10 mins was a really long time. After setting the bar pretty low for introductions, I didn't have high expectations for the remainder of the visit. Just then, Kristina arrived and took our orders. From that point on, the visit was fantastic. She was completely on point and truly took care of us. That tip went from 10% to 20% based on her service. I actually returned about two weeks later and, I hate to say, I didn't have the same experience as others did with Matt. It could be that others enjoy waiters coming by 15+ minutes between check-ins, forgetting to deliver drinks, sitting at a table covered in dirty dishes, but I don't think so. Though it took some time to get our drinks and apps, everything was good. My burger came Luke warm, my friends burger was piping hot. Again, I attribute that to under staffing on management. Saturday at 5pm should be ramping up for crowded service and demanding customers, as this is in lombard. I'll agree with the overall rating of 3.5 stars because even though the food is very tasty, the consistency is a bit waffled.
