The old piece of cheese I found in the bowl

If we could give zero stars! Hubby and I decided to try Redstone for the first time. When we pulled up, the aroma coming from the restaurant was smelling good, but that turned out to be a whole lie. Everything was ok until we got seated. The server's name was Taisha M. The service was slow and she knew it. She kept apologizing, saying that there was a birthday party she was serving even though we didn't see it for ourselves. When I went to the bathroom, I observed Taisha leaned back with her elbow on the counter having a convo with her coworkers. She had time to talk and hold entire conversations, but not enough time to give us better service. The drinks took forever. My husband's rose margarita was good. My sunset lemonade tasted like regular juice. I didn't like it but I drunk it anyway. About 15 minutes later, Taisha slammed the soup on the table. The Redstone chicken soup tasted like it came out of a can. It was more veggies than anything else. Very little noodles. Very stingy on the broth. Very disappointed. So here we are almost 1 hour later and still munching on this canned soup. No main dishes yet. I mentioned the slow as a snail service and my husband agreed. So we finally get our pasta dishes. He ordered the Chicken Pesto Bellagio. The chicken was paper thin and dry. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi that turned out to be a disaster. The shrimp in my scampi wasn't deveined as you can see in the picture. The pasta sauce was thin and lacked flavor. He asked for Tabasco sauce so he can eat the dry chicken in his pasta dish. I asked for Parmesan cheese so my sauce can have some sort of flavor. Even that was a fail! We didn't get the sauce and cheese until 20 minutes later (in my Spongebob voice). The cheese was obviously old. You can see the old and dry chunks in the bowl in the picture. Everything was bad all around except for the margarita. We wasted $97 and some change for mediocre food and service. I'm mad because it was my idea and ended up wasting our hard earned money. We always ask the million dollar question after every new dining experience: Will we return for more? The answer is an unanimous NO. Zero out of five stars. Will not recommend.

Not sure why this spot has low ratings, our experience on Christmas Eve was great! We came in as a family of 7, with a sleeping baby in a stroller for Christmas Eve around 3pm and we were seating at a nice table in the side room. Our server was BJ, and he was awesome. Right away he was willing to take many photos for us and was responsive to our many menu questions. We ordered a variety of things but my favorite was the ahi tuna appetizer and the chocolate cake with caramel sauce for dessert! Absolutely delicious, the sauce was the masterpiece of the cake! Everything that was ordered at the table was tasty, there wasn't anything that disappointed anyone. The service by BJ was great and we felt welcomed and not rushed on a holiday we like to celebrate at restaurants. Thank you BJ for letting us have a great evening as family!

Well this place has history with me ! We were a band back in 2016 or 2018 we played music on the patio on selected Friday Nights! The atmosphere was amazing and the service was great! Food and drinks were flowing, but as you know all good things often come to an end.. If you were one that use to go there back in the day, we were called " The Jackson Street Band " Sorry for that long reminiscing over the years. I was in the area and decided to grab a small bite... Place still looks well and service is great.. I had the seafood and it was delicious !

I came with a group of ten. I ordered the turkey burger and truffle fries. I have to say that I have had better in Wisconsin. The burger was sort of mealy. I only ate half. The truffle fries arrived warm, not hot, with little taste. In fact, the theme of the food was tasteless. The waiter apparently was new. The manager recognized this and proactively assigned additional help to the table which sped things up considerably. Overall, I really appreciated the ambience and the proactive service, so I would come again, but try a different dish.

This was my first time at this establishment. I informed the waiter. My sister/friend and I had an early lunch and some of the food was just okay. We ordered from the appetizer section of the menu: the Buffalo Jump Shrimp (4) $20, was excellent. The Spicy Fried Calamari too chewy; we sent it back $20. The Cheeseburger Egg Rolls $20 was mediocre. We didn't finish it. It just was appetizing. It was prepared well just not great. The Honey Cider Bacon Brussels Sprouts were delicious $17. The Jerk Chicken Fondue was ok $21. The jerk flavor wasn't there for me. The Stone's Chocolate Cake was delicious $13. The cake came with a side of ice-cream and chocolate syrup. The restaurant itself was nice and the ladies restroom was clean. The overall appearance was nice. We had reservations when they first opened at 11am. There was hardly any other patrons; so I was wondering why our waiter did clear our serving dishes. I had to request him to remove them. Other mishaps happened but they were resolved. I'll give them another try, maybe happy hour.

Parking lot and friendly greeters. I was seated quickly at a bar table. The bartender Pepe was pretty busy and did his best to remain attentive to all of his tables. I ordered a beer nice cold and crisp Crab dip, nice flat bread chips and cucumber slices. The dip was nice and creamy. The artichoke pieces weren't chunky. I really enjoyed this dip. Spicy Thai noodles... Mushrooms, brocollini, and bok choy, Hot and steamy in temp upon arrival. Well balanced heat/flavor. I ordered chicken with mine and upon first sight the chicken looked raw but I was skinless and cooked to perfection. Nice and juicy to be exact. I even tried the key lime pie. A huge slice. Pretty good flavor. Glad I gave it a try. I would return as the ambiance is nice. The music was good. Fire place indoors and outdoors. A singer was outside entertaining patio diners. This place can be casual, business, romantic, and can accommodate a group.

    The ricotta meatballs were excellent!

I had a great time! The service was fantastic and the ambiance was dark and the noise was moderate which was perfectly fine with me! :-). The meatloaf was tender and I loved the cheese steak egg rolls! Macaroni and cheese was cooked to perfection! Loved the loaded mashed potatoes! I tried the blueberry lemon drop which was made with blueberry puree very tasty! I don't usually get dessert, however, I am happy that I did! Loved the vanilla crème brûlée topped with the pear! I appreciate the staff accommodating my friend and I since we were running late.

They have a nice lounge area on the patio as well to enjoy drinks. I had enchiladas. I like that they give you the option to choose two. They also let me get no shrimp in the chicken & shrimp enchilada. I appreciate their flexibility. My husband had the tacos. He chose the three he wanted. There were plenty of options. Positives: -variety of food on the menu -flexibility and accuracy -huge patio and lounge area - kids meal: good options, very reasonable price, includes milk. My son had a chicken quesadilla, mac and cheese, and corn. We also added the churro sundae. He loved it! -good happy hour deals 3-6pm -friendly service I would come back!

I enjoy the light feeling that hits you upon walking in while at the same time knowing that the place is just as beautiful at night. We were sat down quickly and our waiter Gianna met us promptly. We ordered drinks and began conversation. I ordered the cucumber lime drink, while my coworker order the pineapple and coconut drink. When our drinks arrived, our waiter sat them in front of the wrong people and that made for a doozy. We placed our orders and noticed that our waiter was the only one serving about 3-4 tables during the lunch hour! I ordered the barria tacos with black beans and refried beans. The refried beans didn't taste very good, but the black beans were flavorful and complimented the meal well. The Barria tacos were dry and then it hit us that we were not given the consommé that goes with our meal. I also ordered a side of chicken tortilla soup.......it was served lukewarm to cold. Unfortunately it didn't taste good and I sent it back. I won't write Ancho & Agave off just yet, but I'm going to keep a watch for improvements on my next visit.

And unfortunately for my dignity, Common Good makes it ridiculously good. Smooth, not overly sweet, and good enough that I'm never going back to pretending I just want regular coffee. Then there's the old-fashioned donut. Holy heck. Crispy edges, soft inside, and flipping phenomenal. I don't know who they're getting their donuts from these days, but whoever is responsible deserves continued employment and possibly dental coverage. The ambience at 7 a.m. is also kind of fantastic. It's basically me, the barista, and whoever is standing across the street waiting for the train. Quiet, relaxed, and just enough civilization outside the window to remind you that other people have places to be while you sit there eating a donut. Next assignment: come back in the afternoon and investigate the cocktails. I take these reviews very seriously. It would be irresponsible journalism to base my findings solely on breakfast without conducting a thorough investigation of the cocktail menu. I didn't choose this responsibility, but I intend to see it through.

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.
