Fun place to come and hang out! Inside is small but there is a large outdoor area with a bar. They have Jenga and outdoor firepits which is the best part! Service was fast and we did not have to wait long at the bar. I hear they have turtle races but we did not participate. We only ordered High Noons and we did not eat any food. Jason is such an ass! Not welcomed at all when you walked in. They closed at 1:00. My friends and I walked in at 12:30. Jason gave us so much attitude and kicked us out. Never coming back again. After a bad experience at first, I really came to enjoy this place. If you're tired of bars that have "Fitz's" anything in the name you're going to enjoy this place. It's pretty low key and has a log of regulars, but it's probably the best darts bar I've been to, they take their darts seriously, it's free, and there are three always empty boards. Their mixed drinks aren't amazing, but they have great old fashioneds. I hate how it's cash only, but free darts and a semi cheers atmosphere is something that grew on me. It also helped that the "warmest bar" experience seemed to be a one time thing. read more

After reading Bud w & Tanya j's reviews I had to see for myself. I'm in Elmhurst a lot and tire of the "brass & fern " bars. The club is exactly as it states..a shot & beer bar. Put your$ down & order away. Fantastic laid back atmosphere & no loud thump thump crap playing. March madness is underway & there are plenty of tv's.... also tiger is surging. I am lonely. Not in the way of emotional distraught or some great human pain. (Though I do maybe have that crusted within somewhere); no, I am lonely in a way that misses something. Like, some lost friend, but a more successful friend. Like, an old pet, but one that was let loose in the wild. Something is deeply missing from my soul, lonely. Sure, it sounds melancholy, but it isn't. It is happy. It is introspective and mysteriously present at times of exhaustion and mirth. It is deeply warm and reassuring in its ever-presence. The cure, I believe, is this easy prescription: an hour glass draft, a pock-marked bar; same tender, same drunks, same juke, and same strange occasions. The Club is where those those not quite forgotten can find life again, and reconcile with the warmth of this modified, content loneliness. My contentment is sitting quiet, spinning from my glass, leaving the cash on the counter, and waiting for some sort of excitement to walk in the door. This is an occasional necessity I require shoveled into the hole of trendy foodie joints, college-esqué beer parades, and craft Meccas. All fine places, sure, but The Club? It's family. A place where the lonely dissipates, and you realize you weren't lonely at all. You just wanted a place frilless and present where nice people come to have nice conversation and everyone is one bummed cigarette or spare pour from a pitcher away from a new friend. Me and my buddies come here for almost all major prime time sports. We found this place just walking around Elmhurst and it has become our favorite bar. It's for sure a local bar but it's always a good time. Obviously the turtle races speak for themselves however there drinks are fairly priced and I'm on a first name basis with the majority of there staff at this point. Massive shoutout to Connie for being a saint. Dannie and Tom "the turtle man" are also amazing. Would highly recommend for all sports and Saturday turtle racing. read more

IT'S A BAR.....a neighborhood bar, next door to Pizza Palace, 1/2 block to the train. IT'S A DARTS BAR.....no, not a gentrified darts bar. Not a bunch of 20-somethings chugging beer and throwing darts to impress the girls. A Professional Dart Bar. These guys actually hit what they aim at. (After 10 PM, if you can't hit a bull with three darts, go elsewhere.) Elmhurst is known as a bedroom community full of gentrified young people who can't afford Oak Brook - yet. This is a dive bar with the battle stations manned by the likes of an Ann, Ed, and John. You get years worth of stale aroma (cleaned up a bit by the smoking ban). Not quite a "star wars" bar but you get all types with no trouble and great bar stories going back and forth. Even better, f you want a cocktail and don't want to be bothered, the bar in its entirety will let you do your thing without bother. If not the top dive bar in Dupage, it sure is close! read more

I wouldn't recommend it. It's cheap, the service is good, but that's where the good ends and the bad begins. It's a watering hole for the wrong kind of folks, the kind with too much time, and not enough to do. If they cleaned the place up, it could be a decent sports bar, but it just looks and smells bad. Tis a bar to go if you want a cold beer, proper shot, or a free poured mixed drink. It's also a place to find a crowd that doesn't put on airs but is simply there to have some cocktails, maybe shoot some steel tipped "real" darts (leagues play here some nights), play the vintage Strike King bowling game, and/or enjoy some conversation. There is nothing as basic as a Beer and Shots place in Chicago. There are few of these around any more, and like all great Bars the Club is as reflective of the local community as any.
