We LOVE the half price apps! We've gone quite a few times, and every time we have really enjoyed it. The amount of good food we get for the price we pay is really great value. The service is really quick, and the servers are all really nice. The only thing I had against this place was that they were playing loud rock music that was not very family-friendly for one of the times we were there, but it didn't take away much from the experience. I also wanted to add that we went here for my sisters birthday and when we mentioned it, the lady serving us came with a big slice of a really fancy cake with a decorated plate and ice cream. We got seated with a party of 10 of us in a large booth. It was fairly cramped but it was manageable. The server was really nice and efficient. I loved how you can see tvs anywhere you sit in the room. I ordered the espresso martini and the shrimp bowl. I loved the flavors of my shrimp bowl, it was the perfect portion as well! I've been here several times, but it's hard to beat their half off appetizer happy hour from 3-6pm. My wife and I went this week. We got the 3-cheese pizza, chicken strips, and sliders. All were outstanding. I got a 20oz. Local lager. Wife just got a soda. Anyway, we both got the salmon dinner as well. It comes with mashed potatoes and veggies. It's really good and reasonably priced at $26. Our server was quick and had our waters refilled all the time. He was friendly and the food came out quick. The place itself has a lot of TVs but it's not terribly loud. You can hear yourself talk and still watch different sports shows on many different screens. They have millions of beers and ales available, and it's $2 off most of their beer during happy hour. I really like their food, and the salmon dinner is outstanding. They were refilling and taking any dishes in a timely manner so we have space. I got a mix and match two tacos, Korean and fish. I didn't want the rice and beans so I asked for it to be switched out for fries. I got plain fries. Love that I could make a substitution. The fish was extra crunchy!! Stayed in the taco well too. There was a good amount of sauce also. The Korean had a good crunch. Sauce was good but a little heavy handed. The toppings weren't bad either. Only thing is that I had a hard time keeping the chicken in the taco. I just wish I had more lime on the side. Citrus and the spice on the Korean sauce would have sangggg. Yard House is just a super solid spot all around. Whenever my friends or family are in that mood where we can't decide where to go, we end up at yard house. The vast variety of menu items ensure even the most particular customers find something they'll enjoy. It's a casual place, but leans towards a higher end type of bar. This provides a great environment for low pressure dates, but they accommodate groups with families very well, too. The location is giant and seating is usually available even when busy. Prices are fairly decent considering the location and I honestly think they might have the best happy hour in the area. I've gone here dozens of times and service is consistently above average. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and the food always comes out in a reasonable time frame. Highly recommended! read more

I went to Yard House years ago and never went back. I happened to come this time because this is where my group wanted to meet up. I won't be coming back after this either. The food just isn't good. The chicken nachos had absolutely no flavor. My sangria was good. Service was great. The waitress did a great job accommodating such a large group. We had about 20 ppl in our party on a busy summer weekend. I really like how splitting the check was no big deal at all. We just passed around the device and paid and left a tip without having to wait for checks to come. I like that they do a good job trying to get people seated ASAP, but the reality is that it's a busy spot and sometimes there's a bazillion people there. For a 7pm on Saturday, there will always be late, so just come on time. Wasn't bad though 25 minutes wait. When we walked inside, the space was big and welcoming, I would literally come back just to catch a basketball game at their bar. We started off with some traditional wings as appetizers, across the table, we game them an 8/10 rating (average). We then received our entrees which included the Korean BBQ Cheesesteak (mine) the Hand-crafted Tenders, 8oz Filet Mignon, Spicy Jambalaya w/ Linguine Noodles, Two PepperJack Burger. I can mainly speak for myself, the Cheesesteak wasn't bad but I wasn't feeling that bread though. It reminded me of the bread for the sandwiches they serve in the lunch cafeteria (Overall: 7/10 rating). It seemed like the best thing on at the table was the Spicy Jambalaya, was given 10/10. The burger was given a 7/10 as well, so the handhelds at this spot don't seem to be the best compared to the others (Mains, Pizza, etc.) Overall, this place seems like a small step up from a chain restaurants like Chili's. The best part was the interior as the service wasn't the best in the world, but everyone that worked there were respectful to us. I would only recommend if you want a little step up from Applebee's, TGI, Cheesecake Factory, etc but still want something very casual. Maybe would come back to enjoy their enormous bar that wraps around the center of the restaurant, since they have a very expanded assortment of drinks with lot. read more

I have been here three times in the last three months and the service has been repeatedly bad. Unfortunately, this impacts everything else. When we checked in at the host station the three of them were rude and either didn't listen, lacked intelligence, or both. We asked for a table for 7 but immediately corrected it to 6. We asked for a table with chairs, and not a booth, and you would think we were explaining rocket science with the hosts' inability to comprehend. We were told there would be a long wait, and when we asked about the visible empty high table with 6 chairs, we were told they would need to push tables together. What? I walked over to the table I asked back as to why we couldn't sit there, and a server said, "Yah you can sit here." Then a host agreed, but, unfortunately, the others decided to sit a group of two at the table we were told we needed to wait for (they came in after us). Why? I then pointed out a low top table that was also empty and had 6 seats. One of the hosts said, "Oh we can sit you there. We just need to pull over a chair." Really? I reminded her we only have a party of 6, and she finally realized we would be fine. We ordered appetizers and the pretzel was literally still cold in the middle thicker parts. We did get another one. When the food came, they served my wife's gluten free burger on a regular gluten filled bun. We repeatedly expressed three times it was gluten free. So then they re-made it. We waited so we could eat together, and everyone's food suffered. The server asked my daughter if she wanted a Coke refill, and 10 minutes went by without it. The refill was finally retrieved by the manager who brought back the gluten free burger. He also had to retrieve condiments because the server never returned. At the end of the experience, they charged us for two pretzels. Fortunately, the manager caught it and changed the bill without us having to request it. He did give us a discount as well. Our disappointing visit was almost solely a result of poor service (except the under cooked pretzel). This makes Lombard's Yard House a tough place to want to re-visit. read more

October is National Principals Month, and our Social Committee got together to plan a surprise happy hour for our principal. We were originally going to Bar Louie, but 1 of my teachers informed me that she frequents Yard House and suggested we switch to your location. I'm very familiar with Yard House and have visited your location (and the 1 in Indiana) several times. I've always enjoyed my food and drinks there, so I approved the change. I want to begin by saying we did have more staff members show up than who RSVP'd, so I did apologize to manager and the staff for that. Many of our team members wanted to come celebrate our principal. It was very evident that our 2 servers were flustered and overwhelmed by our presence. That however (and in my opinion) was not a reason to be rude and disrespectful to our party. As more people arrived, I asked Lindsay if we could have 1 of the booths across from our tables. A party had just left, and I simply wanted to know if the booth was available to us. Lindsay not only rolled her eyes as me, but her tone, demeanor, and response were incredibly rude. She responded saying "you all have already taken all of our tables and all of our chairs." That hyperbolic statement was definitely not true because as I was speaking with her, I noticed unoccupied chairs in our area that she simply could have allowed us to have. Not only was Lindsay rude to our party, but she was also rude to your manager James once he arrived and attempted to assist our party with our reservation. While I cannot convey severity of our disdain for Lindsay and her behavior through words, please know that we were incredibly put off by her behavior, especially when we were there spending upwards of $400-$500. Her rudeness was on full display of the remainder of our visit - the snappy tone, the rolled eyes, the avoidance of our table, etc. Frances was our 2nd server and was equally flustered. She rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed at us several times, but I will admit that as we were cashing out, she conveniently became more pleasant. James, however, was very pleasant and accommodating. He ensured that we had your contact information and checked in on us several times before we departed. We are educators who work in an urban school with kids from the Austin community on the west side of the city of Chicago. While we are accustomed to showing a great deal of patience with our scholars and their families when they are frustrated, we did not expect to leave a long work day, battle traffic on 290 on a Friday afternoon, to come and celebrate our amazing principal, only to be disrespected by your staff (especially for those of us who commonly visit Yard House). I sent this same message to the manager and never received a response! read more

Today I went to meet up with some friends to have lunch. Our waitress was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly big smile wonderful personality. The food was excellent. I ordered a grilled chicken with avocado which came with a side of fries. The fries were good to the point where they may be considered one of the best fries I know. The chicken was fresh tender in was complimented well with the avocado in Sandwich form. I had some coffee also as I had a long ride ahead of me. The coffee was delightful. They actually have something like an ember mug where the pot is actually continuing to be heated on its own. I would assume some kind of battery power type mechanism within the actual coffee pot. The aesthetic of the restaurant was quite nice. It was big and open Modern with lots of windows. If it were a sunny day it would have been near perfect. But even the rainy days are nice as you can wash the rain outside from almost anywhere you're sitting. There's a wonderful outdoor seating area that I would love to come back and experience. There is lots of options that I think would fit different dietary needs. There's plenty of options for everyone in my opinion. There is plenty of options for beers as well. While I was visiting Lombard for the week, one of the evenings, on a Thursday night, I had dinner at the Yard House! This Yard House is located at Fountain Square. Our group had a reservation for a table of 18 at 5:30 P.M. We weren't seated until 5:45 P.M though. Our tables overlooked the bar area, which had several TVs situated above the bar. The Yard House was playing several sports games, including a hockey game! We had about 3 different team members from the Yard House assist our table. They took drink orders, appetizers, entrée orders and even desserts! This Yard House location offered a wide range of options to choose from. You can order off of their appetizer menu which included some of the following selections Onion Ring Tower Fried Calamari Classic Sliders Edamame Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds and so much more! Their entrees included hamburgers, pizzas, chicken sandwiches, tacos, steaks, seafood, soups, and salads. There are so many options to choose from! It's always hard to select a food option at Yard House! This time, I ended up going with the Philly Cheesesteak (No sauce!) and for dessert, the Oreo Brookie. Since our table was relatively large, the appetizers came out first within 15-30 minutes. Our entrees arrived at the table within an hour. The Philly Cheesesteak was delicious! It was loaded with cheese, melted over the thinly sliced steak. It was seasoned perfectly. The bread was fresh too! The French Fries were good. Perfectly fried, but seasoned lightly. The Oreo Brookie was phenomenal! I ended up asking for it to be delivered at the same time as the Philly Cheesesteak since I needed to leave the Yard House by 7:00. There was a huge scoop of Vanilla ice cream on top of the Oreo brownie. It was delicious! I couldn't eat all of it, so I brought the rest back to the hotel! This is a great Yard House in Lombard Chicago! I'd visit here and eat again if I was in Lombard for another event! read more

If you're looking for a quiet place, this place is not for you. It was quite loud but understandable with all the people and large eating area. This is my go to spot whenever I'm in Lombard and I want a good drink, pasta or spinach dip. I love their Lobster pasta, spinach dip their Lavender Drop. So good! The lavender drop comes with this big pretty cube and it's got some serious kick. Lobster pasta has shrimp with big chunks of lobster all added to buttery noodles. Nice portions too.
