They no showed yesterday after telling me they would be there between 12-4 and have yet to respond to my texts requestinga refund for my deposit. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Stay away from this business at all costs. Confirmed appointment never showed service is horrible. They scan their phone calls and never return message, I would highly recommend you use any other business then this one. What business is open till 5 pm but shuts their phones off at 4pm . read more

I would not recommend this business years ago they installed two fans in my roof I have had nothing but problems they would not honor their work or the damage their work has done. It was always someone else's fault not theirs. The fans they installed were not even made to use on my style roof. read more

I've been searching for someone to do minor brickwork on my hearth. I called these guys after reading several good reviews. I spoke with Angel, who I give a star for her friendly and bubbly personality. She said that perhaps if I emailed photos over, they could give an estimate without having to come out to my house. I did just that after we hung up (15 December 2016) and included pictures of the area along with a measuring tape near it to show dimensions. She explained that I should hear back within the day. The next day, 16 December, I called her in the afternoon just to confirm she received the email. She said she got it and it would be answered before the end of the day. Over a week later and no response, right after Christmas, I resent the email again to follow up, making it clear we were ready to move forward with the job and also asked if they were interested in the job. I understand it is the holidays, but as of today, 30 December, I have never heard back. read more

Then it was "I'm sorry we were supposed to call you can tell you we needed a larger ladder"..They reschedule for next day 8-11am. I call at 3pm, they are running behind and will call when they are on their way. I call back at 5 and they are trying to reschedule. Worst conversations I have ever had. Don't waste your money having them "inspect" your chimney! I'm a realtor and they just inspected my sellers home that had a new liner installed in 2015 by a different licensed chimney company. They sent 2 young guys (who appeared to be no older than 20 yrs old) to do the "inspection" who recommended $7,500 + worth of repairs including a new liner even though the house had one rated to last several decades! In my opinion they are just trying to scare buyers into thinking the chimney is in bad shape so this company can make some money. They even went as far as to say they thought the seller might be trying to "cover something up". What a sham! read more

One of the worst retail contractors I have ever experienced. Avoid these ripoff artists at all costs. Made my appointment 8 days out. Explained that I wanted a tech to bring 8" black single wall black stove pipe to connect our VC Encore in our new home. Andrew the sales person who answered the phone said that would be no problem. On the day of the appointment I had to call to confirm there was an afternoon window. The afternoon went by. At 5:30, we finally received a call from Angela saying the tech was still an hour 15 minutes away. I resceduled for the next morning. Tech was great! Very knowledgeable but didnt have a work order or any 8" black pipe to do the job. Promised an estimate from the office that same afternoon. Another day goes by and Andrew calls with a quote for $1,200 on double walled black pipe, $600 for single walled and could not provide a quote for the red boudeaux VC pipe to match our stove. He said he could not find a quote from VC but failed to tell me it was because Millers is not a certified VC dealer. When questioned about the high prices he said they were the same cost the manufacturers charged them. Another lie. He said their labor rate is $250 an hour - more than a local attorney! I asked to speak to Mike, the owner, Andrew refused to connect us. Places like this ripoff the public and give small businesses a bad name. Update, bought the same pipe at another hearth shop for less than $200! Pays to shop around. read more

I recently had a potential buyer for my home use this company for the chimney inspection. Not only did they miss several things that needed fixing, but the quote they scared my buyer away with was more twice that of the next company I contacted. There is a huge difference between 12k and 5k particularly when the next company spotted and replaced more of the problems than Miller found. I would caution any home owner or realtor from using this company as the steep mark up on work scared away my potential buyer before I was even able to get a second company that had a better rating here on Yelp and elsewhere to take a look and get the repairs done. read more

AND they helped me move a refrigerator with their equipment with no hesitation. When I thought I had a problem months later, they came to my house almost immediately. My experience is very much like several others I read here - I can not evaluate the service because Millers never showed for the service. I called early November (2018) and got an appointment for 11/30 8 - 12. This was a three week wait but I am sure it is the busy time of year. The day came but by 11:30 they had not arrived nor called. I called the office and Angel said the "computer" had a glitch and all the a.m. appointments had been moved to the p.m. She assured me that they would arrive between 1 - 4. By 3:45 no one had arrived nor called. I called the office again and Angel said that the crew was at another job but would arrive and would call me when they were on their way. The crew never came and never called. This was a Friday so on Monday I called the office to reschedule. I was given another 8 - 12 appointment for the following Thursday. It was déjà vu all over again. At 11:30 I called the office as no one had arrived nor called. Angel told me that the "computer" had a glitch and moved the a.m. appointments to the p.m. (seems like her go to excuse). She was not apologetic, nor was she defensive or rude. She was just indifferent/or accustomed to the issue. I had enough so I cancelled and went elsewhere for the chimney cleaning and shopping for a new stove. It was like the Seinfeld episode where Gerry rents a car at the airport but when he arrives there is none. Millers can make an appointment they just cant keep an appointment. read more
