Arrived early and immediately asked me to basically tell him about the system. It had stopped without any obvious sound, or physical except that it got warm in house. I also had had an issue with line spill into emergency tray/system. His assistant went to investigate. Ted found a blown capacitor which was replaced but what was a bit of icing was that Ted heard a rattle/squeak in the cage area and insisted on finding and stopping it which he did. A secondary overflow sensor was installed with see through PVC so I can monitor if I choose but that will shut off the system before any water gets to the tray sensor. All of this work was under $300. I was blown away. Thanks Mr Ted. What a professional.

The builder used this company on my brand new house, less than two weeks old. My heat stops working…read moreafter hours. I call JL's Heating & Air directly, which is the after hours warranty policy. A voice mail instructs me to call the after hours technician. I call and leave my info for a call back. No call back. I end up calling three times. No one calls back. A long cold night. Begs the question, why have an after hours emergency number if no one is going to answer? I will use them for warranty work, noting else. In the future if I don't get a call back I will call a reputable company to fix the problem then send the bill to JL. Update, JL calls me at 8.45, 45 minutes after they are open. They apologize for their "on call tech" not being available. Said they would check on it. Had I reached their "on call tech", he would have come directly to my house to fix it. But, because I didn't reach him, they put me in the que with their other work load, so now I must wait until they can work me in. Result, because of their inability to perform their contracted warrant work, I will just have to wait. Wonderful business model.

They didn't replace the sheet metal boots. "Its not in our contract " 3)They told us we would receive $850 Visa card. It was $550. 4) they knew the pad for the unit was not level, Josh the sales man, said we will level the unit. They didn't LEVEL THE PAD. now water runs back to our foundation and under our house. We placed a service call with the after-hours service I did follow up with the local office the next morning. Courtney had already seen the scheduled appointment for the next day and moved it to an earlier time slot. Connor arrived the next day even earlier than the scheduled time. We were impressed and pleased with the service we received from Connor. He is an exceptionally professional young man and very well educated in the HVAC industry. They are the only ones who offered me the option to fix the perpetual noise problem in my house that was caused by having half the system in a closet in the hall. Ken, the owner, suggested that I instead put one unit outside to combine the both. Noise problem solved! Not only that, their bid was far below the others who wanted to sell me crappy builder grade equipment. Air Kool sells Ruud.- A respected name in HVAC systems. I couldn't be happier.
