Perfect Lunch! Found Millie's using my Yelp app and GLAD we decided to stop in. Very quaint and friendly. Great service by the lady working...I did not get her name but she was outstanding efficient! Don't live here, chose Millie's based on reviews, group of 4 for dinner. We all loved the place. Three of us got dinner special, FRESH grouper fingers and 2 sides for $10. Grouper melted in my mouth. I chose fried okra for one side, best had in years and hey, it is okra season. Our 4th is a vegetarian, they asked her what she's like to eat and fixed her a great dinner off menu. Service was fantastic, as was what I bet was the owner/chef. On a sweet street downtown, GoId for a stroll after dinner. We'll definitely go back, great food, good value, funny and kind staff. Where to start?! Our server--amazing, sweet, efficient, caring, interested in where we were from. The food--interesting, flavorful, new. I've never eaten Grouper before and this one was delicious. The remoulade--I was eating it with my spoon! The beignets were so yummy. We sat outside on the patio where it was warm and breezy. Not impressed at all. I ordered the clam strips with fries and a cup of clam bisque. The bisque was awful and did not have a good flavor. There was hardly any meat in it or vegetables. I would not order it again. The clams were also nothing to write home about. I am pretty sure I could make better ones by going to the grocery store and buying some from the frozen isle. Several hours later, after not finishing my lunch because I didn't want to, I left with an upset stomach from all the grease. There are a lot of other options in the area for lunch or seafood. The first - early afternoon, just needed a snack and beverage - Staff was friendly, food was reasonably priced, service was at a good pace. The second time I went in the evening on a Wednesday night for Music Matters - a great live music evening. The beer was cold, unfortunately, as we arrived late at night, the desserts were gone, but the menu was still available otherwise. This place is such an underrated treasure! It's very small, but there's an adorable patio area if you can't find seating inside. In fact, the size may be part of the charm. It very much reminds me of one of the many hole-in-the-wall cafes from back home. I almost always get a shrimp po-boy, but I haven't had a single thing that I didn't love. Good reviews led me to try this small venue while visiting from out of town. The food, atmosphere and service were exceptional. I had the grilled crab cakes and fried pickles. I consider myself a quasi expert on seafood and eat it as much as possible while traveling. I can honestly say this may be the best crab cake I have ever eaten. Stopped here one night before going to a concert at the civic center. Not a very big restaurant, maybe 15-20 tables. Very good food at reasonable prices, also have daily lunch specials. Crab cakes were excellent as an appetizer! read more

Stopped in for lunch and had a perfect meal. Their grouper fingers ($8.50) are perfectly cooked and flaky. They came with a choice of side. I went with French fries-- also delicious. The hush puppies are a nice touch too :) Excellent lunch spot for under $10. read more

I can't comment on the service, we had delivery from Doordash. I ordered fried oysters, my husband ordered shrimp po boy. The Dasher called and let meknow they were out of oysters I choose soft shell crabs instead. If I were just going on quantity I would be happy with the crabs. There were 5 of them. The problem is they were so heavily breaded , with very salty breading, they were terrible. The breading was so thick you couldn't taste the crabs. My husband liked his alright I guess but a couple of hours later was very sick. Throwing up and the whole deal. I deffenetly would not recommend at all. read more

Nice little place downtown serving up a small but solid Louisiana inspired menu. Food was great, I had the group fingers, which had a feather light breading and were fried perfectly. Seafood gumbo was terrific, with a bit of a kick on the back end. Our server Sadie was the sweetest. Definitely coming back to relax and try more of the menu. read more

Took a party of 8 in at 8pm. Since the seeting was limited I asked if they could accommodate us at the late hour. They were more than happy to set up tables and were so friendly. Sorry to say, but our experience could not have been more average.... at higher than average prices. The fish was overcooked and dried out... and a very small portion of fish as well. The sides were the most 'unspecial' ever... especially with the cole slaw being dry and bland. The waitress bragged up the food, but we get much better at home at much cheaper prices. I don't know how fish in Ohio could be better than fish in Florida... but in this case it is. As for the live music, the young woman was decent local talent, but when she started doing her best Melanie impression, we left. The interior was very nicely appointed. They need to put the same intensity of attention to the food as they did to the styling of the space. read more

We were strolling thru downtown and hubby mentioned he had eaten here and was good so we walked in for a quick little lunch. It's very quaint and right in downtown for convenience if you're in the area. Lady was super nice and tended to us right away. Food came rather quickly and it was steaming hot! I mean HOT!! I got the popcorn shrimp w/fries lunch special that day and it was very good! Did I mention HOT? lol I swear it took me 20 minutes of blowing and tryin to chew without burning myself. Which is a good thing btw, I like my food to be hot and fresh. I don't remember what my hubby got, but he was impressed. I ordered The beignets to go and while good, they weren't over the top good. Maybe if HOT and freshly made? Idk. But good even still and it satisfied my sweet tooth later. We sat by window catching the view of beautiful downtown. Based on the rating in Yelp 4 of us went to Millie's seafood restaurant in Panama City Friday night February 2. We were able to reserve a table and were greeted with warmth and great attention. We found the food extremely delicious, well seasoned and prepared like home. To add to the great ambience there was a live singer with guitar. Millie's is a great place to go, no matter your age. The staff is friendly and the food is wonderful. If you like southern or cajun cooking, Millie's is the place to go. The menu ranges from po-boy sandwiches to seafood alfredo, and everything in between. They have an outdoor patio so you can choose to eat inside or out. The musicians are usually very good but the service dismal...was there last night and will be my last as we did not see the server for over a half hour...the owner insists on working to death one waitress when he needs two or three to comfortably accommodate these crowds. As far as the food...ugh...my last order of softshell crabs may well have been cardboard strips...brought to te owner's attention, he merely shrugged with no apology. read more

Millie's - you've disappointed me for the last time. Although your location is very convenient to my job, your food is hit or miss... mostly miss. Service is pretty indifferent, but I could deal with that if the food was good. Don't know if you have different cooks because sometimes it's okay, but definitely not today. I ordered the jambalaya and got about a cup of rice with 5 pieces of sausage (think tiny sliced hot dogs). No flavor and way overpriced for what I got - and currently sitting on the cabinet waiting to go into the dumpster. There are much better places to eat downtown - I may have to walk a bit farther but it's better than paying for food that I will throw away. read more
