Such a peaceful stay! looks like an estate turned into a b&b. located right on a creek. got a room with a private patio and a majority of my time was spent there. there was an easy to use fire pit. There's also a fireplace inside and it heats up FAST. they have a coffee maker and a drink selection downstairs. they serve charcuterie and wine in the evening in the lobby. Though I will say that the wine tasted pretty bad, my partner and I were hoping to walk the property, but it should be known that there isn't much room to walk around. Nevertheless, they have areas to sit and enjoy enjoy the water. It's definitely a romantic place to stay very quiet. Although it's next to a busy road and the cars can sometimes get a bit noisy. They have a space outside to get massages by the water. Breakfast was delicious. FYI, there is no pool here so don't bother bringing your swimsuit. The folks who worked here had a positive attitude and were very accommodating. I think good service makes a big difference. They have two buildings on the property and each one has approximately six rooms I believe. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back here. read more

We revisited Milliken creek Inn after 9 years and are happy to note that they have maintained their rooms and service still remains top class. We stayed for 3 nights in their Brookwood suite and enjoyed ourselves relaxing and rejuvenating immensely. We had 2 massage treatments and both were administered excellently by by Colleen and Taci for me and by Arpita for my better half. While the Wine country massage was relaxing, the Ultimate Bliss was so de-stressing and enjoyable that I am ready to go for it once again. And their breakfast options that come included are limited but very very good and filling! Do try this place . All I can say is that the Milliken was the perfect romantic stay for my Napa anniversary trip. We were warmly welcomed from the moment we called ahead to see if we could check in our luggage until the very end of our checkout. The ladies at the front desk were great to chat with and provided true hospitality. We also had a window front view of the Napa River that made waking up feel like a dream. There are other lovely amenities such as their wine & cheese in the evening, turn down service, s'mores kit, and so much more. After a long day of wine tasting and exploring the valley, we had completely forgotten to order our complimentary breakfast for the next day which was a rookie mistake on our end. I could not recommend this place enough. Everything about it was simply amazing. Starting with the hospitality we received upon checking in. The entire staff the whole stay was incredible. The rooms were so clean and large. The vibe was serene and quiet. All the other guests were also so nice! We loved chatting during the wine and cheese social hour. Milliken Creek Inn is a super understated Inn right next to Milliken Creek off of the Silverado Highway. You're welcomed to your stay with a glass of Cava, and then your host will show you to your room. The main building is a great place to hang out. They have a large fireplace burning in the middle, and then the deck overlooks the river. Outside and to the right, there is a beautiful pond with additional seating--the perfect place to relax. The rooms are beautiful. With a spacious bathroom, a bed that has so many pillows you can dive in and get lost and a huge bathtub with adjustable lighting so you can soak and relax. We also loved the fireplace in the center of the room. There's nothing like having a glass of wine and sitting next to the fireplace for a romantic evening. Just 5 minutes from downtown Napa, this is a great place to spend the night if you're trying to get the most of Napa. We ordered room service twice for breakfast and it was tasty both times (omelet, frittata, and the bacon and egg sandwich.) The fruit was fresh; the orange juice freshly-squeezed and they delivered everything right on time! The only downside to our stay was the A/C unit in the bedroom was very loud. We like our room a little colder when we sleep, and the unit was set to 70, starting at 6 a.m. For people who like it warm, the room warms up right away! But we were trying to sleep in and the unit kept turning on and off which was obnoxious. read more

Milliken Creek Inn sits right on the Napa(?) river with nature all around you. We came here to visit wineries and the giant redwoods, but staying here was the highlight of my trip. The main building itself was a stagecoach rest stop in the 1860's. The fire place and stairway are the originals. There is also a spa but I am not a spa person. I don't have the patience. Let your day begin with coffee set up in the lobby or a cup from your room. Go out on the deck and drink your coffee. No emails, no Facebook - just look at the view and nature. There is a blue heron who comes in the morning to fish. Enjoy breakfast out here instead of your room. No buffet here. Special order just for you. You're not going to go away hungry. Do what you want during the day and come back in time for wine and cheese. Sometimes there are winemakers there representing their wineries. The cheese board is outstanding. Bread, crackers, many different cheeses, fruit and olives. After you come back from dinner, go pour yourself a port and grab a cookie. These are out all the time. When your trip is done, don't forget to take your bathtub rubber ducky. It's a free memento of your visit. Would I come back here? Yes, I don't want to leave. This place was beautiful. I mean, just easily the very best place I have ever stayed. There is complimentary port in the lobby, as well as coffee, tea, soda, La Croix, and sparkling water. Eating my wonderful spread of made-to-order breakfast offerings on the balcony overlooking the river was pure heaven. My fiancé and I had just gotten engaged the day before and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate our special occasion. Stopped off here for a weekend getaway and I must say it was totally worth it.. Stayed in the luxury guest room and it was amazing. California king size canopy bed, so comfortable. Large soaking tub that fit two. The view was great also, looking right into the creek and the nice landscape of Napa. The room came with complementary breakfast. Nice menu that they deliver in the morning at the time you request. Few perks of the room was that in came with a nice large TV that came with directv and what I wasn't used too was that it had all the channels. My wife and I are avid travelers for many decades. We had the absolute pleasure of enjoying the hospitality and warmth of Milliken Creek Inn. Firstly, there are only 11 rooms and this is truly a boutique gem. The staff is incredibly warm and personable; particularly the front desk. You feel special and welcomed from the first reservation call through departure. The grounds are beautiful and provide for some pleasant meandering to the river and strategic fountains. Our room (#11) was incredibly spacious and completely modern. The room includes a fireplace and a large private deck overlooking the grounds with a fire pit and outdoor furnishings. Breakfast is included with the room and features a thoughtful and complete array of choices. You choose the time and breakfast, hot and freshly made, is delivered to your room. Delicious and slightly decadent. I had an issue with my back on our last day and wasn't able to attend the planned wine tasting with our family. I inquired if I could stay in the room a little longer. They could not have been more accommodating. I stayed until 2:00 PM along with an offer for Advil, Tylenol, ice bags or heating. Like home. Napa Valley is a magical place to stay and the Milliken Creek Inn completely enhanced that feeling with understated grace and exceptional service. I cannot recommend this hotel more. read more

Amazing, amazing, amazing!!! For those of you that need to get away with that special someone in the Napa Valley, you need to look up Milliken Creek and book your stay immediately. Situated in the Eastern part of Napa, it is nestled along a creek in the quieter part of town. We just got back from a Valentine's Day getaway here and it was a true escape from our daily grind. As soon as we walked into our room, it was warmed to 70 degrees, the ceiling fan running slow and a classic jazz cd playing in the Bose system. At that moment, you realize that you definitely got your money's worth. The room we had featured a stand-alone jetted tub, queen size bed covered in Frette linens, tv/dvd/tivo, a deck facing the creek, and L'occitane products. Turn down service is included and they did the rose petals perfectly as requested while we were out for dinner. (Guys, you need to do this for your ladies!) Amenities they offer outside of your room are wine & cheese hour, late night port bar, and breakfast that can be serve wherever you want on the facilities. They also have an on-site spa that was so good that I'll have to review that separately. Service was impeccable and a return visit will now become a yearly event! read more

The gorgeous room- omygosh, this is how I want my bedroom to look! We loved the hardwood floor, modern decor, old-fashioned tub in the back of the room, fireplace, and even the pretty fan on the ceiling. Very romantic. 3. Uber comfy bed with super quiet surroundings- we had the best sleep ever. Love the sheets, comforter, pillows...everything about the bed. 4. Delicious made-to-order breakfast delivered to your door- you just specify what you want the night before. Good portions (very good bacon and coffee) 5. Magic hour with wine and cheese- we only went one night, but we had a nice time. 6. TV with every known channel available and CLEAR reception- surprising how many hotels have sucky TV reception. 7. Patio that lets you sit and relax, just enjoying the tranquil surroundings. (we were in room 7) 8. L'Occitane amenities- and a nice roomy shower stall! 9. Free water and soda provided in the refrigerator everyday. Love that. 10. They even had Baby Bliss blow dryer! Ladies, you know how crappy blow dryers are, even in nice hotels. Obviously the people in charge know the importance of strong watt power. Only way this hotel could be better is if they made it free or if Morimoto came and gave out free sushi during Magic Hour, haha. This place provides a nice balance between the intimacy of a B&B and the efficiency of bigger hotels. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a nice quiet hideaway. It is about 15-20min drive to Yountville and 30 minute drive to St. Helena, so just make sure you know the locations of restaurants and wineries you want to visit while you're here. My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for our anniversary, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous and feels like a complete escape from the outside world. The rooms are very nice (incredibly comfy beds, a vintage tub, nice tv, large bathroom, great mini-bathroom products)... the list goes on and on. We had purchased one of the packages for the "Romantic Getaway" weekend and it truly lived up to that. They upgraded us to the nicest room when we arrived, the package included champagne + chocolate covered strawberries in the room the first night AND we got a massage at the end which really made the entire weekend perfect. I cannot say enough good things. If you go to Napa, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to some time at Milliken Creek. Worth every penny. read more

I'm telling you, this place is awesome. Forget the price, forget everything about everything, if you can, you NEED to come here. Ever since I took my wife backpacking through Peru, and then through Bosnia, she's been saying, "wah wah wah". Translation: "You better give me my Napa weekend soon or I'm going to leave you and take the dog with me." I can't live without my dog, so off to Milliken we went. Oh my god, unbelievable. We went on probably one of the wettest weekends and we still were unbelievably relaxed. In the off season, if they have open rooms, you'll get upgraded, which we did. The rooms are spacious, and unbelievably comfortable. If we weren't eating, we were in the room. The beds are huge and soft so there was no stealing of blankets nor kicking off to the side. The TV is a large flat panel with satellite and TIVO (I think). There's a DVD player and DVDs to borrow out front so there's no shortage of in-room entertainment. And the staff, totally helpful. The concierge service is the best. If you want it, and if they can get, you'll get it. Reservations? If they're to be had, they'll get it. Candles and roses at your nightly turn down? Done. Oh what? Strawberries too? No problem. They're friendly and ready to please. Breakfast is anywhere you want it. They've got a good selection for breakfast, all of it well prepared. There's tea, coffee, juice in the mornings to go with pastries from Bouchon. Bouchon! What the hell. Amazing. And then there's their 'Magic Hour', which is a nightly free wine and cheese tasting. It's great for kicking back with other guests and just conversing. We had a great time. The wine, when we went, wasn't the best, but it was definitely drinkable and made that hour that much nicer. And then there's the Port bar. It's open all the time, so help yourself to a night cap, or a morning cap if you're the sort. And then there's the Spa. I loosen up just thinking about it. They warm your robes during your massage, and they wrap your feet in warm towels, and so much more. If you're flexible, try calling the day or two before you want to go up. I've heard if they have the space, you can get in on the cheap. They also have specials on their website that are valid Sun-Thurs. If you're not flexible, suck it up. Perfection. A feast for the senses. When I pay an average price for something, I let a lot of things slide, but when I pay a premium, I become exacting and detail oriented. Despite this, Milliken passed with flying colors. Came here for one night's stay last weekend and was double upgraded to the highest tiered room on the premises, to my pleasant surprise. I think the 2 features that distinguish Milliken from other places are its impeccable, above and beyond customer service (this includes reception/concierge/housekeeping) and unique riverside location, which its grounds are landscaped to set off beautifully. The location actually reminded me of my stay at the Taj Vivanta in Kerala, which is situated on the backwaters and one of my favorite resorts ever. Looking out over our balcony, one would have thought that were were in the beautiful Italian countryside rather than California. From the trickling of the rustic fountain in the courtyard to the sweet smells of jasmine, to the serene view of the river, it seemed as though everything conspired to induce relaxation. The room itself had a cozy, yet open floor plan. Wall mounted flat screen TV, Bose stereo, gas fireplace, giant shower stall, soaking tub, ceiling fan, unlimited soda & VOSS water, l'Occitane toiletries, and the now signature candlelit turndown service rounded out the amenities. Given this, it was hard to decide whether to chill indoors or out, but in any case, leaving the property itself was a no go as we wanted to soak up every minute. If you're looking to get away from it all (including hotel logistics themselves) in a luxurious way, there's no better place in Napa! You will really feel taken care of here and have experienced something truly memorable. read more

No question, five-star ranking for an excellent stay. We had booked the Milliken Room, which was the lowest ranked room, but given that it was off-season and the fact that there only seemed to be one other couple staying there, they upgraded us to one of their suites... a corner room with a canopy bed and a great tub! The rooms are simple and delightful... they come with l'Occitane amenities too. They were so kind and hospitable to us throughout our stay. First, they had a wine and cheese pairing for happy hour.. the cheeses (Mahon and Jean de Brie) were insanely good! They also got us a winery tour for Quintessa, which we had been trying to get previously but without success. Their turndown service was great, they laid out candles throughout the room and it was very romantic. Finally, breakfast (incl in room rate) was brought to our rooms, but we could eat it wherever we chose. The Inn is located on Silverado Trail, and it faces a creek. It is a gorgeous setting, especially during the day. We were delighted to find out in the morning that a mist had settled in (very Napa) along the creek... but as we were having breakfast it gradually cleared into beautiful blue skies! So pretty. We were fully pleased by the service and rooms here, and my husband vowed to make our next reservation here in March! read more

This is a beautiful place. We have stayed once before. This week before our wedding, the reservationist had input the wrong dates. In my excitement, I never looked very closely at the dates in the confirmation email. We arrived and they were full. They kindly refunded our money (probably not required by law) to do that. For $1000 per night, four days before our wedding, I would have expected more than an "I'm sorry" from the seated person at the front desk. The management and the front desk did not take any responsibility and did not offer any kindness for what could only be their error. I did not schedule a room to stay for my wedding when I had already booked a house for me and my whole family to stay. When I made the reservation, the person on the phone kept placing me on hold. That should have been a red flag. I felt treated like a guest at a sub-standard hotel. Please just know, if they inconvenience you, they are not likely to help you out. My fiancée and I scrambled to find a cheaper room at another luxury property. Sad outcome as this was a very special week and the Milliken held very special significance for us both. read more

I've been dreaming to go to this place and finally was able to plan everything with the bf before Easter. The place is really clean, relaxing, romantic & close to nature. We paid for the deluxe room and got upgraded for luxury when we checked in. Joyce gave us a tour to our suite and asked us right away if we made reservations for dinner. Right when I said we're planning to go to Bottega, she immediately made a discouraging/negative comment but still tried to call for us. She also made arrangements so we have light breakfast the next day for the balloon ride. WARNING: do not use the half & half thats in the room. Try to ask for new ones. They've been sitting in the room too long they curd already. The hydrotub is a plus with separate shower. A lot of l'occitane products including a shower cap & nail file. We stayed in room 2 which is in the 1st floor main house and we pretty much hear our upstairs neighbor and the chit chatting during the magic hour. I wish they could just soundproof each wall. Although, I must say, I really felt safe since the main house is secured and there were only 4 rooms that have key to the main door, which is a bonus. Yountville is very crowded during lunch, so we decided to just order to-go and eat at the b&b. The AM frontdesk was so accomodating. She offered utensils, napkins and even plates. They will also not let you wait in their desk, but instead, deliver anything you need anywhere. Wifi is great. We were able to watch Netflix the whole time. Breakfast is decent. Milliken Creek Inn - Our view during lunch - Hotels Near Me - Napa, California

After experiencing Milliken Creek you'll never want to stay anywhere else. There are so many amenities it's ridiculous!!! First, you arrive and are greeted by one of the ladies in the office. She asks for your name and that's it. No papers to sign no documents to fill out. So right away your vacation has started. No worries from here on out. She immediately begins to welcome you to the property and shows you to your room. She sends one of the bell boys to fetch your bags if you are so inclined. Right away you're invited to help yourself to the variety of wine that are always available to you throughout the day. There's also a self-service port bar perfect for a nightcap. Each evening they have what they call "magic hour" where a vintner comes to give you a private pouring and the Inn lays out a table of cheeses, olives, breads, and crackers. One of the vintners that came said that Milliken Creek has the best pairings he's seen compared to other Inns and B&B's. So you know it has to be good. The breakfast menu arrives with the turn-down service which is done by candlelight. What?!! All you have to do is check which hot breakfast item you'd like and it comes w/ pastries from Bouchon (yum) and coffee in a french press from Dean and Deluca. It comes in a cute open top wicker basket so it can easily be carried anywhere on the property. You can even ask for them to have it laid out for you anywhere on the grounds if you don't want to eat in your room. The room! We only reserved for the Milliken Creek King which is their standard room. (There are only 12 rooms, hence the excellent service) But upon check-in we got upgraded to the Luxury King which is 2 levels above what we paid. SCORE!!! Their bed was the most comfortable, luxurious, romantic thing I have ever slept on. First of all it has a canopy. Hello!!! That by itself screams romance. But the down comforter, the down pillows, and the down padding feels so incredibly sexy. I could've laid in that bed all weekend. The room came with a sitting area, a plasma TV, a fireplace, a desk area, an eating area and a hydrotherapy tub. The toiletries are by L'Occitane. Wow. Their robes are hands down the most luxurious I've ever had. The inside was terry cloth and the outside seemed to be Egyptian cotton. Each night we put on our robes and sat out by the river drinking port. Since there are so little guests you feel like you have the whole place to yourself. It was great. If you get the chance to come here I have a couple of suggestions. 1- Go out and get yourself some cheeses, a few slices of smoked or cured meats and bread. Then return to the Inn, set up a picnic and pair it with the complimentary wines. It's fantastic. 2- Before the evening is over be sure to buy some dark chocolates to pair with the port for a perfect nightcap. 3- Bring ear plugs. It's an Inn so you can hear almost everything. But I'm also a light sleeper. If you forget to bring them they sell them at the office. =) I forgot to mention the complimentary sodas and bottled water. Voss water! They'll keep replenishing your mini fridge and don't be afraid to ask for more. They also keep them handy in the office so be sure to ask for more on your way out for the day. In short, this is the best place ever!!! It may be a little pricey but I think the accommodations more than pay for itself. I probably won't be staying here every time I come to Napa because of the cost, but it'd sure be nice to. You'll be pampered the entire stay. One more thing: We came back to our room one of the nights and found a dinner reservation made for us at one of the top restaruants in town. They had truly listened to us when earlier in the day we mentioned that we had no dinner reservations. Nice. read more
