This place was such a pleasure, it was tucked in the back of the hotel, but the staff are really lovely, and the location was very serene. I have to say my massage was very healing and helped me a lot. The steam room is really nice and the Jacuzzi in the locker room was relaxing. What I didn't really appreciate is the amount of people that had their phones out in the locker rooms but aside from that everything was great. My husband booked a 100 minute massage as a surprise for a nice relaxing birthday treat . After having a baby, some rest & relaxation sounds like a luxury. I was super ecstatic sine my last massage was when I had my babymoon. I was long due for a massage ! The grounds itself was beautiful and it was cool that the spa was in an underground cave which was pretty unique . I was excited about this spa but unfortunately , the whole experience was truly disappointing. My appointment was a 2 pm for my massage . After waiting for some time I had to ask someone to find the masseuse, which already made the experience start off on the wrong note. During the massage, the technique was not what I expected. Instead of a relaxing swedish massage, it was mostly pressure points, and I left feeling tense rather than relieved. I was basically waiting for the massage to get better but it never got any better . It was probably one of the worst massages I've had in my life . My husband booked me a swedish massage and that wasn't what I got . Also for some reason while I was getting the most disappointing massage of my life the room was uncomfortably hot. I was under multiple layers of blankets ( felt like 5 ) that made me feel overheated and unable to relax . At one point I had to ask the masseuse to turn up the AC because I felt like I was overheating . After I told her this ,she then resumes to putting my toes and hands in some hot jelly like substance. Overall , the experience I had at this spa was truly disappointing especially since I was really looking forward to feel refreshed and rejuvenated & that's not the experience I got. We checked in and filled out the card with our information, a quick tour of the facility and went to change into our swimsuits. The robe was soft, slippers fit a bit snugged. The locker was easy to work with and could fit all of your personal items. I like how they had q-tips, shower caps, hairbrush, shaver, lotion, hair dryer, just everything you need, including plastic bag for your wet swimsuit! The waiting area was nice, I had some snacks and tea while waiting for my massage. I didn't wait long either until GENIE came and got me. She was very nice and sweet. She knew exactly what she was doing! The right amount of pressure and she focused on where I've had tension which was my shoulders and neck, also lower back. Usually I'm sure the day after but I wasn't! Which was great! I was prepared for the aftermath pain, lol. GENIE made me feel relaxed and rested. This relaxing massage was just what I needed. Weekend girls trip planned and thank goodness this was on the itinerary! First time spa-goer and first massage, I would give it a 9/10 for overall experience, personally I think next time I would book a longer session. So kind and helpful as I navigated this experience, perfect balance of making sure I was comfortable and giving me time to just be in silence and enjoy the massage. She was fabulous, will be returning for her. The overall space is welcoming and definitely gives relaxation. Very clean and aesthetically appealing. I enjoyed the eucalyptus sauna that is part of the amenities, and the many water elements they have keep you relaxed. I want to start by saying I attempted a private email to the spa manager but after zero reply I felt it appropriate to share with the public to save you the $$ and potential hassle since management is completely unresponsive. While convenient I agree with other reviews, go to the fairmont or Indian Springs. Similar price point but far superior experience. My email to the manager ... that has not been responded to after three weeks... I wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit for the Arctic Bliss facial. While the treatment started off well, things unfortunately took a turn that left me both uncomfortable and disappointed. At one point during the service, a plumping lip product was applied, which was fine, but shortly after, without switching tools or cleaning her hands, the esthetician applied an eye product. Almost immediately, I began feeling a burning sensation around my eyes. The esthetician acknowledged that the lip product may have come into contact with my eye area and kindly apologized. To address the issue, she washed my face from top to bottom to remove the products, essentially erasing the entirety of the treatment up to that point. No attempt was made to recover or extend the service, aside from applying a final moisturizer and sunscreen. To be fair, she did seem genuinely remorseful and acknowledged that she may have made a mistake, which I appreciated. However, as a guest paying nearly $300 for a facial, including a mandatory 22% gratuity, I expected a much higher standard of both care and professionalism. This kind of oversight feels more in line with someone early in training, not a seasoned practitioner with nearly two decades of experience. When I explained what had happened at the front desk, the response was little more than, "Sorry about that," before I was charged in full and checked out. That lack of accountability felt disheartening. I requested contact info for you which was provided. Unfortunately, today, I'm still dealing with watery, irritated eyes and raw-feeling skin around them. We used the Spa Terra facilities during our last stay at the Meritage resort and the spa experience was amazing. It was a last minute trip so we were only able to reserve two day use passes which we were truly grateful for. We arrived early in the morning - a little after 8 am. The front desk staff checked is in and escorted us right away to the facilities. The areas are separate for men and women which I personally did not like but considering the fact that Napa is very famous for bachelorette parties- it's understandable why the facilities are separated. I had a great vinosculpt massage with Kristen. I had tension in my upper back neck area and it melted away even though it's a softer massage style. I was impressed with the lymphatic drainage technique they use. The spa is beautiful and the women who work there were all kind, one even offered to take a picture of me as I was trying to sneak a selfie. The steam room is the roomiest I've been to. I'd only want prompter service with the champagne, I had to ask around for it, and the Trinitas wine that was advertised with the vinosculpt I also had to ask for. read more

I booked an appointment yesterday for a massage with a friend. I booked Saturday and meant to book Sunday. I realized my mistake about four hours later and called back to rebook. The service representative was kind and understanding; she said it was no trouble at all. I rebooked for Sunday. On Saturday, I received call that I missed my appointment. I explained what happened and said it was clear there was a misstep; my date was never changed. That's when things turned. They claimed I never called and changed the appointment. They said they talked to all of the workers and nobody remembered chatting with me at all that day. It's insane. The service representative looked up my friend's reservation for me to confirm that she booked for Sunday. She then told me it was not a problem to change my reservation for the same time on the correct day. I have phone records of two calls. They claimed I was scamming them. It was so strange. This is supposed to be a four star resort. Don't let the veneer fool you. There are cracks. The mistake is not the issue. The way I was treated was unprofessional and tacky; now I am out 100+ dollars. I spoke with the manager and she was of no help. I contacted the general manager and did not received a reply. I will be contacting the BBB. Update: Management responded to my review on Trip Advisor. They left their contact info and told me to email them. I then emailed them. No response. The BBB contacted me and also reported they refused to respond to them as well. So shady. read more

Booked a massage with 5 of my girlfriends here when we stayed across the street at Vista Collina. This spa lays right under the vineyard. I believe it shares an entrance to the venue The Meritage has to offer for larger events. After entering, you'll set foot inside a little shop with spa goods and little gifts. You book your service at the register. After that you are lead through a door into a hallway. We were directed to the women's changing/locker room. Inside are a bunch of lockers with huge vanity stations right across. Hot tub/sauna- As soon as we got dressed we went into the area where the hot tub and sauna were. It was pretty packed and I imagined the hot tub area to be larger, I would say the lounging area by the hot tub could accommodate about four people comfortably. We waited/stood around a bit until others in the hot tub were done then we took our dip! We stayed in for about 15 minutes, as soon as we saw a larger group come out of the sauna we decided to switch places. The sauna is super huge and super relaxing! Fair warning: it's super dark when you get inside and can barely see through the steam. When we were done with the sauna we then utilized the waiting/lounge area. Waiting/lounge area: I thought this area was probably the coolest part. It was a super huge room with high ceilings. Dim lights and ample amount of sofa seats to lounge on. What really set the mood was the makeshift indoor stream they created at the end of the room. Super nice touch! It was so relaxing and I could've fallen asleep in there if we never had to go to our massage appointment. Massage- Got the deep Swedish tissue massage. I would say it was mediocre. The room was a little cold and the ambiance just didn't really seem all too relaxing. The massage was good but I've gotten better! Overall, I think this place gets a 4/5. Let me set the scene... they usher you in, show you how to use the locker, tell you to be in the serenity room five minutes before your time, take a blue folder fill it out, and they leave. I am already in my robe, exploring the facility on my own, take the blue folder sit down in the room and realize they are wanting me to contract with them. Nowhere prior to arriving on their website did they tell me I must fill out a contract in order to receive services. I politely tell the lady that I declined to fill that out. She says all it says is that I am not a medical physician, there's about 2000 words on this page and it says a whole lot more than that. I tell her that I would be happy to sign the page that says she is not a medical physician. She says if I won't sign no services. I asked to speak with a manager. I Explained that I am not an attorney and I do not have my attorney with me today and I feel very uncomfortable signing a contract. The manager tells me it's not a contract. Me being trained in contracts, see all the legal language of what formulate a contract. She said if you won't sign, no services. Imagine getting ready, all dressed out for a massage for the holiday weekend and five minutes before you get your massage you are being forced into a contract. A contract where it says this agreement will be binding to my estate and my heirs. Horrible horrible horrible. They try to be sneaky and hornswoggle people into binding their estate and heirs. We came for our anniversary to get a couple's massage. Rebecca and Richard were great massage therapists. Rebecca gave a relaxing massage with enough pressure to make me feel good but not hurt (I can take a lot of pressure!) while Richard provided a more therapeutic massage (lots of pressure) to my husband, helping to loosen up the tight muscles in his back, shoulders and hips. Very different massages so it seems, but they catered to our needs well! Good communication, too. The spa itself is quite nice. The locker room has lockers that you set a personal 4-digit code for (no need for keys or a good memory). They provide luxurious robes and rubber slippers. There are bathrooms, changing rooms, showers, a small jacuzzi and a giant steam room. Water is available in the spa, tea is available in the area where you wait before your services. The spa also provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, single use razors and shaving cream, q-tips, combs, hair dryers, deodorant, body lotion, hair spray, hair ties. Hair brushes were nowhere to be found though, which I found surprising. We stayed at the hotel and couldn't pass up a spa in a cave! I booked the 50 min relaxation massage and was assigned to Mercer. I've never had a male masseuse, so I was a tad thrown off. He immediately made me feel very comfortable, always telling me exactly what he was going to do. It was the best massage I've had! He focused on each muscle, isolating it. I could tell he knew his stuff! Afterwards he suggested I do 15 minutes in the eucalyptus steam room, followed by a cool shower and then another round in the steam room. It was perfect. Instead she sighed out of irritation and then finally led us to the back to give us a quick tour. Not once did she mention that the women's locker room Jacuzzi was broken which was disappointing. She didn't show my husband how to use the lockers nor did she ask him if he needed a size so he was walking around in his OWN slippers until I asked a lady in the quiet room if she was able to get my husband some slippers that were the correct size. When she brought me in the women's, she just said open up a locker see if it's available and then you're going to enter your code and then left! Samantha did not ask if I had any further questions or anything. She was downright terrible. Samantha needs a reality check, some major training on how to simply smile at guests who spend a good chunk of money, and how to learn not to sigh at every end of each sentence that comes out of her mouth! Lesser quality and higher volume at elevated prices. $1,000 for two massages is step. I expect not to see missing face plates on outlets, dusty dirty ventilation ducts, floaties in the hot tub. An attendant who is unkept and barely paying attention. Dirty carpets in the hotel. Shipping containers all around the parking lots. Just run down looking and feeling. The spa used to feel amazing when you walked in; warm and inviting in a subterranean way. Now you see lamp cords, bad lighting, old lockers, cheap and shabby curtains and don't let me start on the privy. Toilet roll on top of the tank because... the roller is busted. Really! On my last trip to Napa, I decided to treat myself to a couple of spa treatments here. Spa Terra was just steps from where I was staying. It is a beautiful spa and you really feel pampered. I especially like where you sit in a room with others waiting for their spa treatments and just enjoy the relaxing music. There are also comforting chairs to sit on along with fruit flavored water to enjoy. There is a locker room to change and you get to wear one of the Spa Terra bathrobes. I enjoyed the robe so much that I purchased one. It has the saw Spa Terra logo and it's really comfortable. I indulged in a massage and facial on the same day. I remember my masseuse did not say much and really did not ask me any questions about the type of massage I wanted or how deep I want to the pressure too be. I had chosen a Swedish massage but usually I feel they ask you several questions beforehand to get a gauge on what you really need extra attention on, such as the shoulders or lower back. The massage was good but not the best one I've ever received. As far as the facial goes, that was the best facial I ever received. I remember the facialist asked me many questions about my skin and took the time to really look at my skin and analyze it. She came up with an assortment of products to use and I felt my skin looked much improved after the treatment. It was a treat and a very relaxing day. My friend and I went here yesterday and when we walked in, we found that they had just put a bunch of chemicals in the one small hot tub so it was closed for two hours in the middle of the day on a weekend. There are also no places to sit and relax. There were two cheap wicker chairs in the room with the closed hot tub so we mostly sat on the hard wet floor next to the hot tub. We also heard others complain that there were no places to just sit and relax with friends. This would be a terrible choice if you are wanting to spend time with friends between treatments. Further, there were no spa snacks, teas, or fruit waters (standard in other spas at this price point). Another small point but there was no spa smell. Usually, I would expect some aromatherapy or beautiful smells in the spa space. It just smelled like chlorine and stale air. (When I did mention to the staff, more on the staff at the end, the girl said oh I forgot to spray the room sprays this morning. I'm pretty sure other 5 star spas aren't spraying cheap room sprays once a day to get that gorgeous spa smell you expect.) My massage: I had a prenatal massage and left in more pain than I went in with. The pillows they tried to use made my lower back spasm so much that the masseuse had to lift me off the table. There was no relief for me because the small hot tub (once it finally did open) was 106 degrees and way too hot for a pregnant person (and most other non pregnant people!). Staff: I imagine a motel 8 has nicer staff. I politely provided some of the above feedback to the younger girls at the front. When I mentioned that this spa needed some upgrades to justify the price point and be enjoyable one of the girls said "yeah, we know." Yikes!!! No apologies or efforts to remedy, just a shrug and acknowledgement that this place sucks. I couldn't believe my ears. 600 dollars later and my friend and I both agree we need to schedule another spa day next month at the fairmont to make up for this one. read more

Went to Spa Terra with a friend. It's a very cute underground cave spa. During the time we were there temperature was a little too high inside, we asked the front desk for the reason and they said they're working on it. I got 50 minutes relaxation massage. It wasn't bad at all, but given the price my expectation was higher. She worked pretty well on my upper back but for the rest of the massage pressure was too mild I didn't feel anything specially on my legs, another thing was that my massage was done a little less than 50 minutes . I'm also personally not a fan of their 22% automatic gratuity. Overally, it was an ok experience and we had fun! read more
