Bartender super friendly.for wine I went with the Stomp Kiwi Stomp- 2 Sauvignon Blanca from 2 diferent countries. Pours a little light. Then I got the chic pea wrap and the Caesar salad. Turned out to be too much food and I ate the second half of the wrap for breakfast the next day. It was delicious- light refreshing with lots of greens inside it. Plus I got the side salad with it instead of kettle chips and the salad was perfectly seasoned with the fresh greens. Would eat here again. read more

Finally got a chance to stop here based on the stellar reviews, and this place did not disappoint! We had 4 tastes of wine via 2 of the "guess which wine" flights - this was an incredibly fun way to taste a variety of wines, and see if our wine knowledge was worth anything! We also had a cheeseboard and sun-dried tomato bruschetta - both were delicious, but the bruschetta toast was particularly delicious, we'd get that again! We didn't have time for more tastings, so we'll just have to come back to try more, and suggest you do the same! I came in by myself before a show and had very good food along with very good service and very pleasant ambience. In particular, everyone I spoke to was immaculately professional and kind, truly five-star service. I got deviled eggs as an appetizer and a French dip as my entree. Both were perfect. And it really has that picture-perfect urban bistro atmosphere. There is more seating than you might notice at first, since there is not only an upstairs dining room but a heated patio which was getting used in late-February, for what it's worth. I should note that this is a very wine-forward bistro, and I'm reviewing it despite not being a wine-drinker. It looks like they have lots of wine! Loved everything about this place. Starting with the wine, they have wine fights (not flights) which pair curated wines to allow you to taste, see, and smell similar wines from different regions. I chose the Sauv Blanc pairing and the difference was quite large. Fun way to experience a glass of wine. Next the food. The menu is not huge but provides several options. I chose the beet salad and Husband had the Caesar salad with chicken. Both were excellent. The presentation was as lovely as the taste. We started our dinner with the meatball app which was also excellent. Four good sized meatballs were perfect for sharing. Lots of sauce. Our table was upstairs which was so cozy. We had sitting room chairs instead of dinner table chairs which created a comfortable, casual, cozy experience, like you are hanging out in a more modern Jane Austen's house. Such a cute and cozy wine bar. I love coming here for girls night and date night alike. The vibe is such a good mix of elevated but still really easy going. Whether you know wine well or just want a fun glass with friends, it feels welcoming and not intimidating. Their wine list is super curated with some really fun options and I love that you can do "fights" (flights) of most of the by the glass options. I especially love their boards, some of the best presented charcuterie style boards I have seen. They pair so well with the wine and are perfect for sharing. Although we visited Milly's on a Tuesday evening, it was pretty busy! They sat us in the heated patio area because everywhere else was full. Moral of the story: get reservations! Milly's has a highly curated, Millenial-chic vibe. It's a nice space, but almost too trendy for its own good. The luxury doesn't quite feel authentic. My partner and I don't drink, so we can't speak to the quality of the wine. However, it seemed like the staff were quite knowledgeable on that front. The food is good, but not nearly good enough to justify the tiny portions and high costs. We had two flatbread pizzas that we ate in just a few minutes at $17 each. For dessert, we had a creme brulee and chocolate charcuterie board that were also quite small for a total of $16. Milly's might be a great place for a wine-lover, but for a meal it's not worth the price. read more

Perfection! My group made a reservation in advance for 3 on the patio and enjoyed the entire experience. The patio is a great addition to this establishment as the entire is compact and cozy. Sitting outside on a gorgeous August summer evening was immaculate. The patio has a grass wall aesthetic (great for portraits) along with unique light fixtures. Another section of the patio gives more Betty Danger's energy with pink umbrellas on the tables. The staff was kind and helped us learn the menu and what makes Milly's unique from other bars. Many of the by the glass wines come as a pair which are typically themed. For example, I purchased the Tale of Two Zins red wine which came with 1 half pour of an old vine and 1 half pour of a new vine. Milly's also serves bottles of wine along with coffee and espresso. Many of the food items are designed to share so I recommend coming with a group! My group started with the Brussels sprouts, Bacon Gorgonzola flatbread and the Coastal Somm cheese Board. Patio is dog friendly and half of it is covered but half is not (although there are a few shades). I got there charcuterie boards again and kiwi white wine flight! The spot was about 20 minutes from where I was staying at. Definitely worth the walk. I know it may not be as nice once the snow starts flowing. I ended up getting their 2 1/2 pour drink pair. I was near the stairs but saw seating by the corner window and was jealous of the group that was sitting there lol. The only thing I was surprised about was the portion sizes. I've been to a decent amount of wine bars that sell food and while the taste was phenomenal, it wasn't alot. Most wine spots I like to share with the table or whoever I'm with, so I rarely just order for myself. Next time I come, I will definitely need to get two of some things if who I'm with also wants some. I ordered the "Fight Kiwi Fight" which comes with two different glasses of Sauvignon Blanc from the smoking region of Marlborough. One of the wines scored 93 from the reputable Tasting Panel Magazine & the other was an unrated selection picked by their Sommelier. They were both wonderful! I'd recommend sitting inside as it's very well decorated and beautiful. The outside is also nice for some fresh air but the space is limited and the ground in some spots is a bit uneven. What a beautiful hidden gem of a spot! Stopped here on a girls night for a late night snack and night-cap and I think I found a new favorite spot downtown. The vibe is light an airy, perfect to rent out if you have a bridal or baby shower. Definitely on the 'girly' side but there were plenty of men here! The staff here are also wonderful, great at helping you make choices and take care of your dining experience. We went after work on a week night and both felt lucky to find street parking which you just pay for on the msp parking app. We sat in a cozy, cute corner in the upstairs area we started off with our own glasses of wine then ended up ordering a bottle of the orange wine for the table. It was my first time having orange wine and I now I'm obsessed! We accompanied our wine with a meat and cheese board with warm marinated olives and ended with a mini dessert platter. The upstairs was my favorite as it's very cutely decorated! It was also a relaxing space to hang out with a friend. Our server was so knowledgeable, friendly and had great recommendations. I was finally able to cross Milly's off of my bucket list of places to try in the Twin Cities! I went with a friend after Art-A-Whirl and it was the best way to end a girls day. The staff was welcoming and attentive from the second we entered. The space was very cute and airy. There is a small patio out back and multiple levels of indoor seating. We sat on the second floor inside, which seemed to be more lively than the the first floor. In addition to wine, we got the charcuterie and cheese board. The charcuterie board was perfection and ended up being just the right amount of food for two. The staff was helpful in accommodating a nut allergy and leaving nuts off of the board. It was date night and my boyfriend wanted to bring me to this adorable wine bar. They have a cute patio outback and inside there are two levels of seating. Main seating is where we were and it was a little small but they definitely utilize the space well. You do not feel like you're sitting on top of other people which is great. The decor is also super cute. You can get wine by the glass or by the bottle, but I thought it was super fun that they had unique named wine battles where you get two glasses of wine to compare. The menu is also a little unique, but everything we ordered had great flavor. I would definitely revisit here. It is in Minneapolis so be prepared to park and maybe walk a little bit. Another win for Millys! This time for Valentine's Day! They actually knocked it out of the park Was a little apprehensive about what the food pairings would be like as it's not an actual "restaurant " but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of food that was presented and the wine pairings were of course perfection by Timothy their Sommelier! The place was sold out for the special day and nicely decorated,service was on point as usual. Shout out to Tanner who is a very friendly and genuine server!! I would be happy to do this special event again in the future ,my only negative would be to add the actual wines that were paired listed on the menu so that if you liked something you would know what to order again. I've been here a few times now, and I always really enjoy their menu and service. I like that they always have a few flights to choose from, and a happy hour wine of the day. Their flatbread pizza is good, but fair small. I'd say the menu is more for small bites and sharing. Parking is limited and you'd have to likely find paid street parking, but that's never been an issue for the guests I've met up with. I've never needed a reservation so far, but it does get quite busy in the evenings so I'd recommend making one. read more

The food took an unusually long time to arrive and the Caesar was lacking in dressing and the chicken was a bit overdone. The burrata and mousse were fabulous! Such a delightful little place. The view of the city from upstairs is absolutely stunning, and they had such a fun selection of music playing. I often find places like this have the music too loud for my liking, but it was the perfect volume. Service was incredibly attentive and very helpful with navigating the menu.
