Two weeks ago, I noticed the music was so loud that it made it difficult to have a conversation. We also waited far too long before anyone came to our table. To make matters worse, our order was missing a dish, and instead of checking on it, the red-haired woman seemed more interested in showing pictures from her phone to the table next to us than making sure our order was complete. I've also came here to watch almost every world cup soccer game, and in the past the staff were always very accommodating. They would put the game on the big projector and let us hear it through the overhead sound system, which made for a great experience. During one of the last games however, we asked if the sound could be switched to the soccer match like it had been before. The server refused to lower the music and would only let us hear the TV's own speakers, which were impossible to hear over the loud music. It felt like customer experience was no longer a priority. Yesterday was the final straw. I came in with a friend, and the server was sitting at the front scrolling through her phone. She didn't acknowledged us until the bartender noticed we were trying to get someone's attention. I've supported this restaurant for over a decade, so it's disappointing to see the level of service decline like this. Is there new management? I truly hope someone addresses these issues because the food is still excellent, but the customer service no longer matches the quality of the restaurant.

It was restaurant week which we were in aware of so we were pleasantly surprised as we were able to have a three course meal for not a bad price at all. I had French onion soup to start and I was very happy with my choice as it was very flavorful and had a ton of onions which I love when they leave in all of them when they serve it. My friends had clam chowder and calamari. I had a few calamari and was very happy with how fresh and crispy it was. They gave a nice portion on all three. As for my main course I had a a very nice size steak sandwich that were absolutely delicious. It came with hand cut French fries. I couldn't believe how good it was. I'm usually extremely picky and the steak was so tender and it melted it my mouth. The fries were killer good as well. For desert, I had bread pudding and that was wonderful as well. It came in a cream sauce and I was very happy with what I picked. All in all, I loved my meal and the time spent with my friends that I hadn't seen in almost a year. Packed to the gills with some of the most beautiful people living in and around White Plains, it is a treat to come here when everything else has already closed and the party. must. go. on! :-) However, I do have one bone to pick. The bouncer stationed at the front is extremely and suddenly rude. I was shocked last night by this experience. At first, I was let in just fine, told that I just needed to "sheath" my bluetooth speaker that I usually use to provide my own musical ambiance when traveling up and down Mamaroneck Avenue. I walked around inside unscathed, was even so lucky as to catch the eye of a few beautiful ladies- lucky me. I stepped outside to catch a breath - so packed inside - and saw one of those same ladies inside through the glass window. We made momentary eye contact, and I was going to re-enter to chat with her, when the bouncer appeared out of nowhere and told me, rudely, to leave at once. That he had had "too many complaints about me". I truly had done nothing to receive this treatment. I hadn't had a drink all night, I was dressed exquisitely, and I'm an above average dancer. And yet, when I told him I had done nothing, his response was "LEAVE. NOW." I mean, WTF? Other than that, it is great there. I might go back one day if that bouncer receives an attitude adjustment. But until then, I'll steer clear and spend my time at Cantina, whose doorman is MUCH nicer to the clientele and is much less likely to be on some substance when allowing people in the door.
