Over the past year, I've returned to Henry's on several occasions. Each experience has proven my initial experience wrong. I thought Henry's was just a passing neighborhood bar, but it's actually so much more. Yes, it's a bar. They have all the beer and liquor you'd find anywhere else, but what sets Henry's apart from your average place is the food and the people. The food is spectacular. Elevated staples and specials you've never had before. Served quickly and perfectly prepared. The bartenders are kind and friendly. They'll chat. They'll get tot know your name. And sometimes if you show up after the kitchen shuts down, the owner will cut up some pepperoni and bread, on the house. Something I won't soon forget. read more

Gave this place two tries and it somehow got worse the second time. The problem clearly starts with ownership -- he is extremely rude and unprofessional. To be clear, the bartender was very nice, but the owner/chef was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Clearly from all the comments below, this is normal behavior for him. My review is not for the food, drinks and bartender/waitress, all of which were very good. We have been here a few times and every time the food is great and the service is prompt and warm. My review is for the owner. We went there last week and it was busy. We didn't have reservations and were happy to sit at the bar. Upon entering, I misheard the waitress and thought she pointed to free table we could sit at (not realizing it was reserved). As we were heading towards the table, the owner very rudely said that he didn't have any free tables and essentially shooed us away, using a very dismissive hand gesture. It was an honest mistake on my part, as the waitress had actually pointed to two free seats at the bar rather than the table. Again, I was more than happy to sit at he bar, which we did (and enjoyed our food and service) but as a paying customer, I did not appreciate the rude behavior displayed by the owner. This is no way to treat customers, and people for that matter. Not sure if we'll be returning. read more

Food is consistently great. Burgers are always on point! Juicy and flavorful and crispy fries. My go to neighborhood spot.

We walked in and asked if we needed a reservation, which seemed to be a new policy. We were told no, and that we could sit at the bar. We ordered an appetizer, two burgers, and four drinks amongst both of us , along with an after-dinner drink costing $14 while my husband was still enjoying his drink. The chef (cook) came out and asked if we were ordering another drink. He mentioned that this isn't a bar, but a restaurant, implying that we should finish our drinks so others could sit. I told him my husband was still drinking his, and he replied, "No worries, you can finish it." Wow well thanks I just paid $14 bucks for it !! Honestly, Mr. Chef, that was extremely rude. Why don't you get more tables so people can sit comfortably? We've never been treated so rudely anywhere before. read more

I rarely write reviews, but my experience at this restaurant (11/15/25) was so disgusting and disappointing it must be shared. We sat at the bar, received a lukewarm greeting and was asked if I we wanted food or drinks and when we replied that we wanted food, the bartender immediately said the kitchen was closed, which it was not. When it was confirmed the kitchen was open, he said nothing else. He walked past us at least three times, never even acknowledging that we were sitting there, saying nothing and then when we inquired about a menu, he rudely replied "we don't have menus, go on line" and proceeded to give us the website as he walked away. We will not be returning and would not recommend this establishment, unless you enjoy being ignored and treated poorly. read more

What a treat to eat one of the best burgers, fries and onion rings I've had in a long time, IF ever. Seriously this was some darn good eats. The Smash burger was delicious, you could taste the beef with a hint of salt. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, and fries. I added caramelized onions (add it, you'll thank me) which enhanced the burger taste even more. I asked for onion rings instead of fries as my husband was getting fries with his meal. The onion rings were crispy and full of great flavor. After I devoured my meal, I was ready to discount my husband's fries. Good thing I didn't, they too were delicious with a hint of truffle that made them addictive. I couldn't stop eating them even though I was full of my meal. We both had two rum punches which were very good too. Reasonable prices and they offer a variety of dishes, not just bar food. They are open 7 days a week, street parking. read more

Never again. I really wanted to like this place....within walking distance, relatively good food, etc. Was even willing to overlook food poisoning on one occasion. But the owner is so incredibly rude - talked down to and insulted us because we supposedly mispronunced something on the menu, yelled at us and then grabbed our drinks away and told us to leave when we were basically speechless. A nice spot to grab a bite or have a few drinks. The space is a tad small. It makes for uncomfortable moving about if it's busy (especially at the bar). Food was pretty good for a bar. Came to Bronxville to eat at a different venue and after being told it was an hour wait for a table for 2 on a Tuesday night, my son suggested Henry's. What a serendipitous event that turned out to be! After a quick perusal of the menu, I decided on their "Smashed" burger to which I added American Cheese. It already comes with lettuce, tomato and raw onion so I let it ride. The burger was cooked to perfection with a crispy, crunchy crust. It was juicy and flavorful. The only downside was the lettuce made it difficult to cut through with the supplied butter knife so the bottom half of my bun did not match the top half. First world problems for sure! I opted for the house made potato chips and they are fantastic. I can't wait to go back and have another! read more

We went to Henry's last night for a low key birthday dinner last night. We were greeted by the owner who took our drink order. We started out with an order of wings and a cesar salad which were both very good. The waiter who took our order was friendly. He made it easy for me to order according to my dietary restrictions and the owner even came out to share how he would prepare it. Three of the five of us had the steak frites and all agreed the steak was very good. The fries would've been better had they been warm/crispy but we figured they were plated b/f the steak was ready and were still enjoyed by all. My daughter was happy with her salad with grilled salmon and our experience at Henry's was a fun and positive one. We are new to the neighborhood and are looking forward to going back as there were many more things on the menu we want to try- the pastas looked great and the burgers we saw being served also looked amazing! Also unsure of how a person could leave such a poor review for any restaurant during a time when restaurants are Struggling to exist. I had the steak sandwich MR and it was fantastic. We also had a couple of cocktails which were perfectly made by very sweet bartenders. The fries couldn't be more perfect. Definitely going back for both dine in and take out. The atmosphere is perfect for gastro pub food and any foodies in the BXV are should consider it worth checking out. But it is small so they can't fit a lot of people right now due COVID restrictions. read more

I went to this location years ago, but I think it was another bar or owner. When a friend mentioned she recently stopped in to Henry's and enjoyed it, I decided to go back. Went on a Friday evening and it was quiet, but the atmosphere was relaxed and pleasant. I rarely order chicken sandwiches because it seems they're usually cooked to death and dry, but i ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy and served on a nice brioche, and it went well with my side of home made chips and cold beer. My date enjoyed his dinner as well. Bartender was friendly and gave good service. Have experienced Henrys a few times and honestly have mixed feelings, I guess because my experiences have been mixed. First time the food was amazing, second time it came out cold and they were not that friendly when I pointed it out. The crowd and the vibe is also highly variable. NEW NEIGHBORHOOD FAVE! This place was recently bought by a new owner (Dec. 2020) and the food and service are both great. The menu is constantly changing with new seasonal additions, and EVERYTHING I've had here has been phenomenal! I haven't had a bad meal yet....and I'm a total foodie. The chef & owner is very talented and personable. I love when he comes out of the kitchen long enough for a break to chat with the patrons and have a drink with the regulars...perfect local neighborhood bar with an exceptional menu. If you are looking for the same old thing every time you come in, you might be disappointed because the music changes with the different crowds and the menu is always a surprise. Love this establishment. You walk in it's simple and looks like a dive bar much different then the other restaurants in bville. But the minute you walk in the service is amazing and then you scan the menu def not your typical bar food plus amazing specials. I'm a restaurant snob and foodie and I'm telling you go here I have had several items on the menu currently my favorites are the smash burger, sweet potato fries, Caesar salad with shrimp, and the arancini. My husband loves the chicken parm it's def good and I'm not a chicken parm fan. It's turned me on to eating chicken parm I am an eggplant parm fan. My co worker is obsessed with the mozz sticks and home made potato chips as well. The owner is so accommodating and an amazing chef. It's also open a little bit later during the week which is good for professions ending their day late. Prices are fair.
