When I pulled up a younger male (long hair) was a bit standoffish and looked at me like I was insane asking if I could come check the facility out. I honestly felt like I was being shamed for so much as asking to come see where she would be after I dropped her off or meet any staff. I guess we are supposed to hand off our dogs through the car window on a rather busy street, to a virtual stranger? No lobby or anything? He said I could look at pictures online, but I have never had a boarding or daycare place gate keep their space like that.

I have never left a review on Yelp before, but feel I need to now. I have had 2 different dogs who…read morewe have taken here over the past 6+ years. I was always surprised when I would pick them up and they would be very wet, sometimes soaking wet. I was under the impression this was because it can be very warm in Lafayette and that is how they cooled the dogs off. imagine my surprise when I was told they use water from hoses to "correct" behaviors. I have checked around and found this is not a usual way to correct dogs. so, my dogs won't be going there. I am also going to clarify to anyone I have recommended Tail Haven to that I no longer recommend their doggie day care.

Camp Bow Wow has been my go to location for boarding my dog or for just having a fun play day!…read more Camp Bow Wow has cameras where you can monitor your pup playing all day which is really helpful for an overprotective dog mom like me. Sending my dog here helps with getting him socialized with other dogs. Not to mention it really tuckers him out after a fun filled day. After the first initial meeting with Camp Bow Wow, scheduling days for your dog to stay is easy through their app. They also have special offerings. They offer baths and nail trims. They also offer special enrichment packages like cuddle time or a sniffing game. If you choose the enrichment packages they will send you a photo and a synopsis of how well your dog did during the enrichment time! Love this place!

Camp bow-wow was our lifesaver in June when we went overseas for 3…read moreweeks and needed a place to keep our very anxious Chihuahua-terrier mix (Happy) safe and healthy. Happy came from a shelter and was terribly afraid of new people and new dogs, and I was quite worried she might starve herself once she was separated from us and left in a new place. We signed up for two daily enrichment sessions and took her to Bow-wow several times before dropping her off for the full 3-week stay. The camp counselors told us that she did mostly starve for the first 3 days, but by day 4 she started cleaning her plate at every meal (we asked them to feed her breakfast, lunch, and dinner, to make sure she didn't go too long without food). And by day 5 we could see her on the webcam jumping onto the play structure, wagging her tail and barking happily at the other dogs in the teacup room (the room for small dogs). She was queen of the pack! (Well, that's what she seemed to think) And it's all because Amy, Daniel, Nazareth, and the whole team at Bowwow gave her such exceptionally good care every day. We loved being able to check on her via webcam every morning from overseas, and the daily email reports we got on her enrichment sessions (which always had pics and videos of her) gave us huge comfort during our vacation. We can't say enough good things about Camp Bowwow and the exceptionally skilled and compassionate team of counselors there. Thank you, Camp Bow-wow!

The staff have always been very friendly to me, and make comments when I pick up Lucy that suggest they really care and have paid attention to her unique personality (cattitude?). When I arrive I am greeted by a big group of dogs that always appear to be happy and playful. Perhaps folks have really had some worse experiences than mine, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in and say thank you for always taking care of my buddy Lucy

Reasons given for these wounds included 'he was climbing in and out of a paddling pool' and 'maybe it was because he was laying down on concrete'. They claimed to be unaware of the cut under his eye or the cut behind his ear. In fairness, I had previously boarded my dog here without incident, and always found Lauren, in particular to be very attentive. However, the response from the owner, Candice Harper when I collected my Dog was contemptible. They had also not sought to get my dog seen by a vet and just suggested he would 'be fine'. I don't ordinarily review anything, but people should be aware of the potential risks of boarding here. Negligent at best. Completely devoid of any duty of care based on this experience.
