Despite being Filipino, I never was taught Tagalog growing up. I recently was inspired to learn…read moreTagalog, and I was super pleased to learn there was a place nearby that teaches it! I wanted to better connect with the language associated with my heritage, so I decided to invest the time and money to learn Tagalog. I took the Level 1 hybrid course with Rhya in early summer 2026. Overall, it provided a great foundation for introductory grammar and vocab for Tagalog. By the end of the first course, you quickly become comfortable being able to ask simple questions (like where are you from? what's your name?), answering with affirmative/negation statements, and even being able to ask "how much/how many" with Tagalog numbers right off the bat. The class structure felt perfect, with the small class sizes. The course was very interactive, as we were constantly engaging and practicing the language throughout each course. And of course, it provided a safe space to make mistakes and grow with the language. If we made a mistake, Rhya would walk us through our mistake to help understand where it was and why the correct answer was provided. The class structure was also perfect for my work schedule. There were times I had to travel for work and miss a lecture. Because I was signed up for the hybrid course, I was provided class recordings after each session, allowing me to catch up and not feel left behind. The sessions are definitely catered to working adults, with all courses being offered in the evenings. Each session was 90 mins long each week for 7 weeks. I learned a lot from Level 1, and I'm excited to continue on to Level 2!

The instructor that I had, Keiko is great. She is very patient and always willing to help. (The courses can be fast though depending the language and the books being used). The other people there are always very polite and helpful as well. The facility, while basic, is clean and conducive to learning. They seem to use a mix of media (e.g. slides, Quizlet, etc. which is good). FYI - it is near SJC - San Jose Int'l airport and the jets taking off can be somewhat loud at times.

Ladies were friendly, welcoming, and resourceful. I was looking forward to visiting the cafe. It turned out to be a lovely cozy kitchen area. Make yourself at home with respect to this community. Beautiful building with huge spaces throughout the building. Nice setup. You can enjoy cafe/kitchen items indoors or outdoors. Self service cashier/ring yourself up if using credit cards or cash. Both accepted. Honest business. There were lovely Halloween decorations and the cafe patio area is just right. Not too sunny/nor too cold outside. Foods/snacks/beverages are all convenient and decent in prices. Very affordable and great experience to check out on your own. I'll be back to this very low key and peaceful cafe kitchen stop again. Good addition to the Lundy area. Nice. This hidden gem kitchen cafe actually have things that I want: cheese/quick bites/iced tea/coffee/seaweed snacks/etc. Amazing. Must love!

The class helped me prepare for Product Marketing in the future as I am transitioning. Kareen was very thoughtful and helped answer all of my questions during the five day course along with providing feedback. Thank you Kareen and Product School for guiding me every step of the way. Product School offers several course offerings for Product Managers at various stages in their…read morecareer. I took the first of these, which I believe is the Product Manager Certificate, in July/August of 2020. The COVID-19 situation meant our class met virtually, I try to take that into account into my review. I feel like I need to separate my review into two parts, the instructor and the curriculum. First our instructor, Adithi: 5 stars, only because that's the maximum number of stars I'm allowed to give. From the beginning she has been incredibly generous with her time, knowledge, and resources. She's passionate about product management and eager to share that passion with her students. She also brought in guest speakers with extensive experience in the field, which added a lot to the conversations. I cannot recommend her highly enough. Second, the Product School curriculum: 3 stars. It ticked all the boxes for what I would expect from an introduction to product management--personas, product discovery, minimum viable products, roadmaps, etc. But it didn't seem to offer any value differentiation above reading various Product Management books, which I've done. Furthermore, the curriculum railroaded us into several pre-defined class projects. These were confusing and placed arbitrary constraints on our project development. And while I enjoyed working on this final project as a team, I also would have liked to build my own project from start to finish, for a real company of my own choosing. I believe Product School has recently overhauled its curriculum, and frankly I feel a little cheated because our group was one of the first cohorts to use this curriculum, which I don't feel is ready for prime time. I'm sure Product School will use this feedback to improve, but sadly I won't benefit from these improvements. Still, the chance to learn from Adithi and work with some amazing teammates still made the overall process worthwhile.

The class size was nice and small which allowed for individualized attention. There's hands on lessons and practice which keeps the class engaging. The instructor was upbeat, attentive and smiling throughout. We each received a manual and a certificate of completion at the end of the course. They also offer snacks, coffee, tea and water throughout training to help keep you awake. I walked away with valuable knowledge of beginning excel and they also offer a help line if I ever need assistance. I can also come back and re-take the class for no charge if there is room in the class. Someone in my class said they offer 50% discount for those who are unemployed. For approximately $250 a class, 50% would be a heck of a deal.

I cannot tell you how thrilled I was with this course: it flew by; the instructor was awesome (patient, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, patient); the material she covered was exactly what I needed to know with no fluff; and the examples/practice lessons were relevant and actually fun (did I say fun? who knew making pretty graphs would be cool?) I no longer fear numbers, sums, charts, lists, printing spreadsheets, or being asked to fix formatting nightmares. I learned that F keys are useful for more than holding your pen on the keyboard, and to embrace the words 'function,' 'formula,' and the "auto sum" key. Did I mention that they let you retake any course as many times as you want, for free, no time restrictions? Observations: * The place is really clean * The staff is very polite and helpful * Debby Brown, my instructor (and former 4th grade teacher) was totally awesome * The classrooms seat no more than 15 people (from what I could tell), so classes are small * The bathroom is clean (hey, it matters) * They use Microsoft 2007 (but also offer 2003), and the computer stations are clearly maintained: keyboards, chairs, and tables were spotless (what is nastier than a funky keyboard?) * Parking is plentiful I will be back. Thanks Debby!! :)
