A friend of mine and I went here for the first time Wednesday around 6pm. The service was good. The drinks where ok. We ordered the sweet potato Fry's and onion rings for the apitizer. The Fry's where just like everyone elses. The onion rings where under done and the breading was still soggy. I got the portabella burger and asked for no tomatoes, extra portabella, and medium. It came with tomato on it and no extra portabella and came out really rare. I told the server and all she said was sorry and walked away. The bill was almost 50 dollars. I just paid and left. After dress shopping, we ladies stopped for lunch and the deliciousness of the scent in the parking lot was enough to make your mouth water! I has the turkey and avocado salad (even though I wanted the burger) and it was totally satisfying and filling (probably more calories than I thought it would be!!). I've been ordering from here extremely regularly - like close to every night - during the month I've been here for work. This place is perfect for my situation because they had so many options plus I could get a quality salad with my dinner to bring to work for lunch. The burgers are really good, although if you're ordering delivery, beware that they don't include ketchup or mustard. The salads aren't super fancy but great - although I only had the mixed green salad and fried chicken salad - especially because they use real mixed greens instead of just iceberg. They also have great ranch, which seemed harder to find than you would guess. I'm not super crazy about the jumbo cheese curds only as a personal preference but their fair curds are amazing. Their chicken sandwich is really good with a huuuge piece of chicken, although I did think it would be better with some more toppings. I'm obsessed with their pepper jack mac and cheese. They left it out of an order once and it was devastating. Their beer cheese soup was really good and I loved that it came with a pretzel breadstick and didn't skimp on the saltines at all. The cheesy hash browns are good as well, extremely cheesy. The one big negative was the chicken quesadilla. It was in a huge pile of liquid so the whole quesadilla was total mush. The flavor is great, they didn't skimp on the chicken, at and the seasoned sour cream is delicious but I won't be ordering that one again because no one wants to eat a mushy pile. They are huge and definitely not as pictured (imagine a Rubik's cube that's almost the size) I should have gotten the fair curds I imagine those are more a traditional cheese curd. Make sure you have a party smaller than 9 because they will charge you an extra $20 for a tip. The food was cold and tasted bad. They messed up our bill. The manager was rude. I was in town for business and we stopped here on a Wednesday night with a total of 5 and sat at the bar counter. The service by Brittany was 12 out of 10 stars, she was knowledgeable on the menu and the large number of beers on tap. In addition to the great service, all five with our group was blown away with the food. Everyone ordered burgers and everyone was happy with their orders - food was perfect and the cheese curds are best ever!! I was so impressed I took my family to the MBC located in Hudson Wisconsin the following Saturday to share the great menu with them. Living right around the corner, I decided to try this place. The photos from their website looked great but I was let down. Let's start out with the good and why I gave each star: First, the patty on my Bourbon Burger was amazing and cooked perfectly. The bun was soft and tasty. Second, the the cheese curds were battered well and had a good taste. The cheese curds tasted great but it would've been great if they were hot or even warm. The bourbon sauce was sweet and not too zesty which was a plus. I decided to put the cheese curds on my burger to get some warmth. It was a good combination. All these earned two stars. The things that tied it all together ruined the meal. Now to the bad... I understand that avocado is not in season and it's hard to get one that's perfectly right but this one was seriously under ripe and hard as a rock. Whoever cut it should have known not to serve it and I should've been told they didn't have any avocado or that it wasn't ripe enough. Another note, the PBR onions were a pile of mush and I wasn't impressed. Also, there was supposed to be Ranch dressing and there was none. Although this experience wasn't great, if I would've ordered a cheese curd burger or maybe a sandwich I might've had a better experience. I love avocado so it's sad I won't be ordering it again. I was working on a project tonight or I would have loved to have had a drink at the bar but then I would have complained about the meal. So good. This place is the perfect combination if delicious food and a great big, delicious, yummy burger. The fire cheese curds, a must, especially with Chipotle ranch. I had the mushroom Swiss burger, it was huge and had tons of flavor. My husband had the hangover burger and said it was really good. There was a nice selection of beer. Ordered a beyond burger (vegetarian burger) and was told I was served the beyond burger. After taking a few bites I asked the waitress to check if it was a beyond burger because it didn't taste like beyond burgers I've had in the past. She took it back and the manager told me they made a mistake and gave me a real meat burger. They never replaced my meal. They paid for my meal and gave me $30 in gift certificates. She was very nice to me which I appreciated however it is Never acceptable to serve a meat burger when I ordered the vegetarian burger and was told I was served the beyond burger when she brought out my meal. We just left from lunch not that long ago. So I wanted to leave this 3 star, but really only 2.5 star review while it is fresh on my mind. We ordered 2 of the burger, shake, fries deal for $12. ea. A side of classic curds with Ranch And just another burger with fries, and a soda. The shake (oreo) was delicious. It had the perfect amount of oreo in it. The burger was ok, the fries were hot....Very hot, and tasty. So food wise, I give this place a solid 4, but I down starred them so much due to the overall experience of dining here. First of all, they were not that busy, they appeared to have staff aplenty and yet we waited up at the front to be seated for over 5 minutes. I went to the bathroom, came back to my group and still waited for a hostess to come over. About 6 servers saw us, and yet, completely ignored us. When we were finally seated, in a high rise booth, Each of the four chairs were unsteady, and loose like they were going to buckle and break at anytime. It was almost unsettling to sit there. Hungry, We grabbed the menus, and they were S T I C K Y. Like, make me want to go wash my hands, disgusting, sticky. It just seemed like this place was going downhill fast. Then, yet another almost 10 minute wait for a server to even take a drink order. And I am pretty sure the only reason she came to us was because I pulled out my phone, looked at the time and said this is ridiculous, and another server overheard, told a hostess and a tad bit after that out server came over. We ordered everything; drinks, apps and meal at that time, just because we didn't want to have to wait. The drinks came out fairly soon after, the curds didn't take that long, the food was a bit longer, (I assume she held the order over, since we ordered everything right away???) but it was super hot, so I at least know that it was fresh and not sitting under lights forever. All in all, our visit totaled about an hour. We didn't sit and talk after our food came. As a matter of fact, we filled up on curds and shakes, so we barely touched our meal, except to taste it, then got to go boxes. An hour. That is way too long in my opinion, for a burger and fries at lunch. So, long story short, if you are coming here on your lunch break... definitely pass. Cheese curds were pretty good and all different kinds (but they were massive!) also had the chicken sandwich which was tasty. Pretzels and cheese also good - what you would expect.
