When we first tried Holidays, we thought we found our go to place to eat. Second time, not as good as the first but OK. Third time was a total joke. Untrained staff was the big issue. Took six minutes after we were seated waiter to come to our table. Told us he would be right back to take our drink order. Eight minutes later​ he came and took our drink order. Eleven minutes later he returned with our drinks. He asked if we were ready to order. I said yes, because I do not want to wait for ten minutes for you to come back. Twenty three minutes later we get our food with an apology, he forgot to put in the order. Then what he served me was not even close to what I ordered. I asked for the manager and asked her what was going on. She said he was a new employee. I said why is he not training with someone? Her reply was I thought he was ready, he has been here three days. Apparently managers here have no idea how long training takes with the extensive menu the have. The next three times were acombination of terrible service and really bad food. I ordered take out tonight thinking, I do not want to put up with bad service again. I live less than a mile from Holidays. Not all their staff is bad, we have had some really good service before this. So tonight, we ordered beer battered fish and chips which, we have had before. Waffle fries were stone cold, rye bread was soggy and my wife said this is not the right batter, you taste it. Terrible batter, so she peelled all of it off of the fish. Ordered the cheese curds for an appetizer, they were soggy and not even cooked half way. I had to put them in my air fryer to finish them. I ordered the chicken tenders. Stone cold, into the air fryer. If you order the tenders nothing comes with just a dressing cup. I called and told them of the experiences we had and was asked, what can we do to make this right. I said make sure you fully train your staff and hire cooks that actually know how to cook. But you do not need to do it for my wife and I, because we will never come back to Holidays Pub. read more

I've had inconsistent experiences here, hence the 3-star rating. I came here last summer with my parents, and we had a lovely time sitting outside on the patio. There's only a couple of tables out there, so I think they could benefit from expanding the patio area. They do have doors they can open to provide an indoor/outdoor experience for some of the tables. The food has been decent. I got a chicken caesar wrap once that was very good (and those garlic herb fries-yum!). Another time I got a burger that was just okay-not a whole lot of flavor to it, which was disappointing. I enjoyed the sweet potato fries more than the burger. Service has also been inconsistent. One time we had a great, attentive, friendly server. Another time we had a server who was friendly, but not as attentive and service was slooooooow (to be fair, I'm not sure if that was the server's fault or the kitchen's, but she also never checked in to give us updates either way). I would probably give it another go, and hope for a better experience. read more

Had a party of (9) on Friday the 12th. Ordered drinks and food. Our waitress was Emma. Her waitressing was why we give 5-Stars. Took our orders, checked in on us regularly, took care of the details we asked for and had great people skills. You have a very good employee there. read more

I've been here several times and it is okay. I wish the service was a little better and I wish the food had more flavor. It's a great addition to the north side of Appleton, so I am willing to give it a few more tries and see if there is something worth raving about. This place is enormous! You can enter on both sides of the building, there's a good sized patio and a small ramp that leads to elevated seating inside. Holidays has a very large menu that has all the standard bar food offerings but I'll give a shout out to 2 noteworthy ones - the fried cheese curds are DYNAMITE - some of the best I've had. I questioned if it was wise to order an ahi tuna salad at a bar but this turned out to be a zero regrets decision. Fresh ahi, well proportioned salad with dressing on the side, good seasoning. After driving to 4 different places and finding them all closed, my family ended up at Holidays in Appleton on a whim... and we were so pleasantly surprised! We had the boneless wings (jalapeño aioli sauce) as an appetizer and they were delicious! They were not too spicy at all, but full of flavor, even my 2 year old loved them! My husband and I got the prime rib panini (w/ au jus) and the bacon cheese curd sandwich with chicken (instead of a burger) and both were seriously awesome! Portions were big, we both had half leftover to take home, and I would definitely order either of these items again. The sauces they serve with the fries for dipping were also so so good (garlic Parmesan was the best!) Kids meals were reasonably priced (around $6) and my kids cleared their plates. We had the berry moscow mule and a blueberry mojito and we both really enjoyed those as well. The back patio space is really cute with a large tv and fireplace, it's open air into the indoor table seating area as well. We actually would have never even known they had a patio when looking at the building from the street, but it was a great little spot! Great service from our server as well! Holidays is a refreshing add to North Appleton! It's clean, staff is friendly, good food and drink! It's a sports bar. Are there TVs, yes. Lots. Plenty of bar seating facing TVs. This location has way more seating than the Neenah Holidays. And it is separated out more so it still has a cozy vibe and not large dining room feel. The food is better than "bar food" can't go wrong with any of it. I personally love the paninis but I also think they should bring back the chicken tender melt even if it is served on sourdough. Drinks- lots of options for craft beer. There is a ton of parking. You can park in the back too as there is a door to get in from the back. The back of the restaurant will have a patio. Currently there are garage doors that will open up to the patio once it's nice out. The patio is on ground level and on the east side of the building so the sun will not be an issue in the afternoon/evenings. They also have event rooms if you need a place to host an event. After dinner you can stop next door at Tom's and get an ice cream cone. read more

My husband and I decided to visit Holidays in Appleton, as we like to try new places every week. It was a cozy comfy atmosphere at the bar. Our bartender was Sarah, and she was phenomenol! Not only did she take excellent care of us, but at the same time she was restocking glasses, taking care of other patrons, making drinks, and handling the POS system. She was doing it ALL!! I was very impressed with Sarah! I bet other bars would love to have her as a very valued employee! The lady needs to be praised for a job well done! We (party of four) had great burgers, grilled chicken and other menu choices from their menu. Good size portions that were served quickly and hot. Everyone liked their well prepped food. Brooke our waitress was awesome. Very attentive and timely. I noticed she had impaired hearing and excelled in the environment. The restaurant exterior and interior are new and very nice. Lot of sport TVs on all four walls to glance at. Would recommended it to others and will frequent in the future. Wasn't noisy and had a nice environment. read more

Takeout service was good. The pizza was nice and crispy, but the flavor was not good. It was also very greasy. I liked the crust, but the sauce was really not good and ruined the pizza. The kids chicken tenders were pretty soggy and tasted more like fish than chicken. read more

I will no longer be frequenting this establishment. We were told weeks ago you could not reserve seats, yet the last 3 times we went to watch the game, seats were reserved. This last game, we got there at 230pm for the Packer game. The place we Like to sit was wide open. They said sorry those seats are reserved for 2pm. Well if it's 230 and they aren't there yet, should their place be held? Went to talk to them today, and lovely manager Jeff says those were reserved for the owner, but they never showed up. They did give the seats to someone else. Then they tell us those are for groups of 4 or more. We were planning a group of 5. They had an excuse for everything. It appears they reserve the right to reserve seats for whomever they decide is worthy. Too bad. It was nice to watch games there, and the food and Abby the wait staff is amazing, but when you start reserving seats for some people and not others, you don't deserve the business. We came to the Appleton location 2 times in the last month. I absolutely love their quesadillas, everyone we brought here the second time lover their food. I will say drink menu is lacking to me. I ordered an espresso martini and it was horrible. And my mule was good but a bit too sweet. I'm aware it's a sports bar, but they were listed on their drink menu. It's very large space with nice lighting and lots of TVs. Service is pretty good for as new of a location as it is. I'll definitely be back and would recommend to others. read more
