This place is very much open. We've been here 3 times in the last few months. This is our in between home and Carrollton ice cream shop. It's in a very busy shopping area with Target and such. Milwaukee Joe's is off to the side in another little strip center area. Still I'm not sure why it's not busy. I had the MJ's in Southlake before and it was okay. This MJ's has some different flavors. They have the ice creams you see mostly like chocolate chip cookie dough, but have some others like taste of india, jewel of india, and another I can't remember the name of. There was an ice cream that had bits of an indian donut in it.. so good. Taste of india is delicious with saffron, pistachio, and almond. Decent place. IT IS OPEN. Come by. read more

I was really disappointed with my experiencebe. Therewere so many great reviews on Yelp. This is "MY PERSONAL" review of the store and the flavors. We went to the MacArthur location. It was clean and nice on the inside. Due to covid, we elected to take ours to go.The girl just handed us our ice cream without a lid. They did not have the proper containers for to go purchases.Cheap styrofoam bowls with soft drink lids( she broke our bowls). We ended up with the ice cream leaking everywhere. They really should offer better to go containers. Now on to the flavors, my husband got the Reese's and fudge.He mentioned it was alright nothing to rave about in terms of taste. I ordered the "Taste of India", when given the flavor profile of vanilla cardamon and pistachios. I was honestly intrigued and wanted to try it out. Maybe I'm not familiar with cardamon but this was not a citrusy, minty, spicy flavor. It sounds crazy but it tasted like leather to me. Very overbearing and I was unable this enjoy it. My daughter had the "Disco lives", we were told it was blue raspberry and tasted like fruity pebbles.It tasted like the blue raspberry syrup you use for a snow cone/slushy (really tasted like a cough syrup).We took it away from her, we didn't feel right feeding this this to our child. Our daughter woke up in the middle of night sick and we will not be returning to this establishment. read more

My family and I recently visited Milwaukee Joe's in Southlake. I asked for two (2) scoops in a cup. I received a tiny serving in a very small cup. My wife asked for one (1) scoop and received the same amount. So I ask about it, talked about it and explained my issue--all to no avail. My family and I have been going to Milwaukee Joe's for many, many years. Once they had locations across the metroplex. Servings use to be healthy. The ice cream and sorbet is excellent. A quiet location between Men's Warehouse and the Play Store Museum. It is a small store with a little seating and a bench outside. There are 24 ice creams and sorbets on the menu plus shakes and sundaes. Plus a to go menu of Ice cream cakes and pies and take home pints and quarts. Not a good experience. Place was dirty and unappealing. Four scoops of ice cream - two in cups (one a mini, the other a small) and two scoops in broken cake cones was $19. Nothing special. The in store ice cream is good abs generally consistent. I am taking points off because 1) the place always looks like it needs to be deep cleaned - drippy ice cream all over the counter facade. Just ruins the experience every time....2) still no samples. They have three international flavors I was dying to try but NoPE. No samples. I mean really!? Buy a scoop if you want to try it?? My friend took me here since it looked like a really good place for homemade ice cream. When we drove up, it looked closed but sure enough it was open, just no customers at the moment. It's in a pretty weird area of upscale houses and some retail businesses, but not near other restaurants or bars. I sampled the almond joy, just java, chocolate chip cookie dough, and triple chocolate. I settled on a small cup with a scoop of almond joy and cookie dough.....for around $4 after tax. Turns out they have 3 locations total. I thought the ice cream was just average. They had some cool flavors but the quality of the ice cream is what I mainly go for, and it didn't seem to be ultra premium ice cream by any means. read more

Swung by this place since it was close to our hotel and hockey rink for a treat. The gentleman who served us was so nice, insisted that we try a few flavors before buying since we told him it was our first time. Everything was delicious and fresh, it really has that home made taste to it like my mother in law will sometimes make. The ice cream is made with cream instead of eggs, and was fantastic. Had a great experience here tonight! Hubby and I have been a fan of Milwaukee Joe's for ages and ages, but we don't make it out to the Southlake location as much as we used to. We were so excited to see this new location close to us! They were out of the pints of The Reese's and Fudge (my favorite flavor), and went out of their way to make it up to me. I have been a Milwaukee Joe's customer for years because it is close to my home in Colleyville, the ice cream was good, and it had great customer service. I used to think of this place as a five-star YELP ice cream shop. Unfortunately, things have changed for the worse. My past two visits, which have been in the last few weeks, severely disappointed me in the customer service department. The management must have changed. The middle-aged man behind the counter was rude when serving my family of five. We asked for samples of flavors and he rudely stated that he only gives out two samples. When he provided a sample, it was a spec of ice cream on a sample spoon, which really defeated the purpose of a sample because I barely tasted the ice cream. I tasted more plastic spoon than the ice cream flavor. Despite his rudeness, we still bought five ice cream cones because my kids were really looking forward to ice cream. In retrospect, we probably should have left and bought soft serve ice cream from the McDonald's down the street. I am sure the McD's has better customer service. Do yourself and the community a favor by not supporting horrible customer service. I will not be returning to this place (even though I really used to love it) and I will be telling all my friends in the Colleyville community to avoid this place like the plague. read more

They will stack flavors- The larger the size the taller the stack. Small size suites my waistline and pocketbook just right: two scoops of full flavor yum for only $3.30 (tax included) Try the Heath-caramel-cheesecake or the just Java (which is just heavenly)- Next time I am going to try stacking triple chocolate (w brownie pieces) w just Java. Their ice creams are absolutely to die for! They're rich, creamy, and they do melt kinda fast but it makes it more exciting. Only thing to keep in mind is the scoops are pretty big for the size of the cone, so I'd recommend getting a mini. I've tried the Peanut butter chocolate and java flavors so far, both were really really good (although I'm biased due to my coffee and peanut butter addictions). My dad is completely obsessed with the triple chocolate flavor, he makes us go here every time we visit Target because it's so good. read more
