BEST NAIL SALON!! They work so hard on your nails and make them look absolutely gorgeous!! It is such a calming vibe! They play relaxing talk shows so you are in a calming mindset! All the employees are VERY SWEET!! I've been coming here for over 6 years now & the quality is so consistent!!!

So Mimi is absolutely the best when it comes to shapes and designs...she has been my sister-in law's person for years and no matter how far they move she still drives all over to come back to her...every time I visit I go to her I just wish the people in Florida could maintain the thinnest and shapes she does...I had a gel pedicure and I'm a month and a half out with no need for a touchup... I wish she was in Florida...I will wait to see her again cause she is the best no breakage and beautiful.

I wanna start up by saying my review is very valid for being a 3 1/2 year customer here. This review is based on multiple experiences throughout my time being a customer here. I wanna start off by saying if you want cleanliness do not come here . They reuse the same bits without cleaning in between clients or having back ups that are clean. When you are waxing, they also use the same stick from what I've noticed, and Mimi does not wash her hands before or after... After all the red flags, I've seen coming here for 3 1/2 years. I decided to stick with it because it was very affordable but after today my experience, I will no longer be coming here. Last week I come in for my valentines set. I got color 105 on my toes and wanted to do matching with my hands but then the nail tech goes. You don't wanna do something pretty for Valentines and I said okay fine give me a pink cat eye on my hands and she shows me a cat eye display and I chose a pink one! Mind you when I get my nails done I am trying to relax. I close my eyes and sit back while I'm getting massaged in the chair. And I had previously told the hand tech I'm looking for Tina because she always does my hands and I love how she does my hands since she's very considerate and hand files my hands because I'm very sensitive when they aggressively e-file. And she said you don't trust me to do it. And I gave her this face because she had once previously waxed me so bad and during that wax, she waxed me with an eyebrow stick going segment by segment . I was getting waxed for about an hour with this tech when I had asked for mimi but she was on vacation at the time and I said okay that's fine. I'll come back when she is here. She proceeded to tell me it's fine. I can do it and I said no it's okay. My fault for trusting this tech which is the same tech that did my hands this day my nails were not a pink cat eye. They were more copper with green and pink, which is not what I had in mind for Valentine's Day. It kinda looked like WICKED themed nails which isn't bad but if it was November, I would definitely do this and it's Valentines, which is why I didn't like it so I called Mimi telling her I'm going to come in for a polish change for the following week which is today and we did my nails while she was doing her nails and asked me what color did I wanna do and I said I want pink chrome or pink cat eye and she said NO cat eye anymore you waste money. Which brought me to surprise because out of all my experiences I have never once complained but today I thought she was very rude because I'm paying for my service. I don't understand why I was told no and I had to just get the same color that was all my toes from that day, which is fine but the fact that I was charged was ridiculous because I just wanted my nails fixed and she charged me $21 for a nail polish change when I called her the same day I originally got my nails done as soon as I got in the car because I did not want to embarrass anyone or make anyone feel offended. The point to my review is you get what you pay for . I just know that I will no longer be coming here. They are rude to you and they're not clean. I'm surprised the state hasn't came in to check. But if you do come here Tina is your girl she does beautiful nails. She's very careful and takes her time.

It's not often I treat myself to getting my nails done, so when I went in yesterday I chose to do gold glitter polish on my toes for something a little more fun. I then sat for a while till I could get my manicure which was fine because it allowed for my toes to fully dry. For my nails I asked for a classic white ombré French tip. I showed my tech exactly what I wanted shape and color wise over and over again, but she was to busy in her conversation to do what I asked. She ended up doing a silver glitter French tip and told me "next time, I'll do what you're asking for". That truly sucks, because I really hate my nails and the fact that not only do they clash color wise and are far from what I asked for, but she rushed through shaping them because she had other clients she would've rather been doing. My first experience at this salon was outstanding and this experience alone would make me never want to go back.the only reason this post even got two stars is because the woman that did my toes did a nice job. I highly do not recommend the blond chick in there though. She's cocky and disrespectful to the clients.

So I'm new to the area and desperately needed a pedicure & manicure!. There's a lot of nails shop in Upland so this is my 2 attempt to find a nail home! I was not disappointed. First it was open on Sunday which is why I went. Secondly the vibe, space was cleaned and relaxing also the AC worked!!! (First place I went no AC ) Also the manicurists for both my pedi & mani was very nice and did a awesome job! Price was reasonable as well. No complaints! I will return.

Negative stars if I could! First off, was charged $8 more than told and for a crappy job. Then, asked for Mimi, but she was too busy arguing with other unhappy customers. Got someone else and omg what a NIGHTMARE, horrible job! Asked her MANY times to please fix them to the almond shape like photo shows with brown colors, but got this terrible shape in all different lengths in pink! Then when I asked the final time for her to please fix the shape and make them all the same length, I was told, we don't do almond shape. WTF! Why was I told yes we can do when I showed them the picture and as soon as I sat down? I should have left when I heard the arguing from Mimi and customers. Do NOT go to this place!! I will share on social media and tell my mom and all our friends who have gone there recently to STOP unless they want to be disappointed and have to pay someone at a different shop to fix a mess. Awful experience from people who don't know what they're doing!

I am incredibly disappointed and have never walked out of a salon with my nails unfinished- until today. No two looked alike. The shapes are awful. I could cry. Luckily they didn't charge me. The pedicure was sub par. I didn't get polish. No massage. No attention to detail and I'm unclear if the tools were sanitary. I will never be back and caution anyone who is considering going to Mimi to think again.

I have been coming to Mimi for years now. She has been doing my nails way before she opened her salon. Not only does she get my nails right, but her pedicures are great! I usually have ingrown toe nails, She goes at them like a surgeon and leaves my feet feeling at peace and pain free. I cannot trust anyone else to get rid of my Ingrown toe nails. Warning.... Warning.... Warning... This nail shop is a rip off... I went in to fix 2 nails and have a color change... They charged me $37... More than the cost of a full set.... Any where else is $3-5 per nail.... They over charged me because I didn't want to get a fill or any other service... NEVER AGAIN... It was the young lady... but the owner told her to charge that price.... Hmmmm scammers.... Wish they had zero ratings.... Consumers BEWARE.... read more

New to the area & my second time back at Mimi's for a pedicure. The nail tech who did my pedicure was in a rush because it was busy, being super rough when pushing down my cuticles which resulted her in cutting me. She cut my toenail slanted :( was super bummed about my experience. read more

I have never written a Yelp review but feel like I hav to share. I've visited Mimi's a few times and been disappointed with chipped polish but after last visit I will not be returning. The person who helped me asked if she could cut my ingrown and I should have said no because I wasn't even aware I had one!!! Within hours, my toe was swollen and hurt. A week later, the toe was infected and I had to have the nail surgically removed. I have never had a pedicure like this and sadly will not be revisiting this salon. read more

First off I went to a different salon about 2 weeks ago! The worst experience I've ever had! I went in for a nail dip on my own nails and wanted to reshape my nails to coffin shape! After she messed that up with nail clippers she mismatched the bottles for the top coat and activator! Then she proceeded to put cuticle oil on my nails and spilled almost half the bottle on my pants! To make things worse after 2 days one of my nails broke off! So pissed! And they charged me full price! Ridiculous! I came here today hoping that they could fix them and OMG Mimi is a god send! She is amazing! Not only did she fix the shape but she made them so great! I love this place! I will be back! read more

Thank you Mimi. I came in because I broke my nail from a set I just got from another salon. Mimi added on to the nail that broke by simply putting on another tip on top of that acrylic and adding more acrylic. She also put on another layer of acrylic to all of my nails after filing them down so they weren't as thin and didn't break as easily. Completely new design from my last set. I have to credit myself for the nice design and choice of colors lol- these are two different browns with chrome as well, so three colors all together plus three stickers- but they did have a wide variety of gel colors, chrome colors, stickers, and Rhine Stones. $50 for the whole shabang. read more

I've been coming here for the past few months and my nails were having trouble growing and would peel whenever they got long. Mimi put on a full set and we let my nails grow! This time around I went thinking I needed a net set of acrylics but Mimi talked me into keeping my nails because they were long! I'm SOOOOO glad I listened! I used to love coming here Mimi used to do such a great job with my daughters nails and the service was great until one time Mimi was not available and another girl did her nails and they came out terrible. I am not one to complain and don't mind minor imperfection but these were just not acceptable, we went to ask if they could fix them and ever since then, they have been so rude to us and immediately start talking about us when we walk in. We are paying good money for a service and should be satisfied, we still wanted to continue going there and still tried a few times even though they were being rude in hopes it would change. Unfortunately it did not and they have lost our business. read more

After reading through the reviews, I called ahead and booked an appt with Sandy for a pedi & gel mani. I get there, and was asked "sooooo......do you want Sandy to do both??" That's the point of an appt! But I said I'd be fine with her doing one, in order to save time. Ivy did my pedicure (she's new) and left some uneven and slanted! I had to ask her to go back and fix it, which she did. A lady comes over for my gel mani, I ask if she's Sandy and she says yes and I introduce myself. Halfway through my gel mani, I hear a regular customer talking to the REAL SANDY, and using her name in conversation. I asked the lady who is helping me her name again, and she says its Tina!! Ivy gave me a shoulder "massage" while Tina did the mani, but it was so hard and rough I started wincing in pain and asked her to do it softer. She didn't. It wasn't until Tina saw my face in pain and spoke to Ivy in a different language that all the nail technicians started laughing and Ivy went softer. I asked Tina to add a small gold heart to one of my nails, which would have looked really cute against the deep red polish. She said it would be $4 more for one heart on one finger of each hand. I asked if she could also do small gold dots on the thumb, she said then it would be $8 more. She drew the heart, but it was unrecognizable and looked like an arrow pointing up. More of a traffic signal than a cute design. You would think a place by that name would actually be able to provide Nail Art. Maybe if I had seen Sandy, LIKE I HAD REQUESTED, they would've made more of a profit and I would have a cute design. At that point, I was over the whole experience and wanted to leave, so Tina wiped off the heart and I left without any design. At the end, Sandy came up to me and mentioned she was pulled in a different direction or told late or something; I didn't understand what she was saying and I didn't want to stay longer to listen to an excuse. So, POINT OF THE STORY: don't bother making an appointment with Sandy, because they'll ignore it and bump you aside to whoever is available in order to help regular customers. read more

So I decided yesterday I needed my nails don't because I'm leaving for a wedding tomorrow. Soo after so Yelp research I stumbled upon Mimi's and decided they sounded good. I called and was told they had time so I rushed over and sure enough I was taken back fast. An older man did my nails and OMG the shape was perfect! I usually am really picky about my nail shape, especially stiletto, but before I could even complain about a nail being too dull or uneven he was on it. He took a good amount of time making sure the shape was even and I appreciate nail techs who care. The owner Mimi helped paint the last portion of my nails and she was just super nice as well! Also the prices are amazing especially for their work. Definitely a 10/10 would and am going again! read more

I was searching the area for a pedicure place. Granted, I don't really get pedicures but I was comparing prices. When I called this place they told me it would be $18 for men. I figured, well that's a decent price plus tip. When I got there, they sat me down and the girl started on my feet within five minutes. I thought, wow this is going to be a great experience. Anyway, when she was done she took me to the register and then said it would be $19, and even though it was not what they said I thought one dollar would not make a difference. I still tipped her five dollars. When I got home, however, I was putting on my socks (I was wearing sandals when I got to Mimi's). I realized the girl didn't cut my nails, not that they were long, but she didn't even bother to clip or shape them. She did do a good job with the cuticles and the palm of my foot. That was it so I'm giving this place two stars; one for the cuticles, and another one for being friendly. read more

I've only been here a few times since I just move to Upland. These ladies are sweet and friendly, no awkward vibes or that feeling of forced conversation. Reasonable price and I love how my gel nails lasted without chipping. I'm a busy mom so I appreciate that they open on Sunday and there's never a wait if I make an appointment. This is probably one of the best nail salons I ever been too. The people are nice, they have a quick service, plus the quality of the nails are amazing. Very unprofessional, the owner does not like her job, I've been coming here for the past year and decided to stop coming my last visit I went in for overlay I guess that was a problem for her to provide a service her business offers.. she had a bad attitude since she may have been the only one to know how to do an overlay .. weird in a salon . Anyway I let that slide and came bk for a mani pedi and she was not shy to express her disappointment in seeing a returning customer come in , " oh it's you again huh,, u wanted me to do it again u..?" Of course I'm short on her friendly disposition. I'm writing a review now because my elderly mother was also treated poorly by mimi and the other workers at this place. Skip this spot they keep raising their prices as well and the quality is only maybe average .. read more

Freakin love this place! I work on my feet and I'm always prone to ingrowns and since coming here I have not had ONE ingrown! They know exactly how to take care of your feet! They are clean and nice and always try to accommodate walk ins. Mimi does my nails normally and she's amazing! They always look super cute and the duo stays on FOREVER! No chipping or cracking! read more

I absolutely love this place. I always go to Paola and if she isn't there or on vacation I request Jenny! This is not my first set, but I wanted to post these because Paola never disappoints me and always leave my nails perfect :). This is acrylic overlay with gel so that the nail doesnt break easily and my nails last a whole month before my refill. Love love this place read more

Based off of the other reviews I decided to give this place a try. They were very nice and got me in a chair instantly. I did ombré long coffin nails and the technician did not make the nails the same lengths and shape. Pinky is disproportionally smaller than the rest of my nails and my thumb shapes are totally different! Then my fingers start to bleed (which is a first in 5 years of getting acrylic nails) and the technician ignored it until I said something and placed CLEAR POLISH to stop the bleeding!!!!! WHO DOES THAT?! Now I am stuck with bloody fingers and oddly shapes nails. I am only giving 2 stars because I was seated quickly and the ombré looks nice. Not coming here again. read more

It was an ok experience. My pedicure wasn't as good as my acrylic. The towels had stains on them and they shaped my toe nails the wrong shape. I did repeat myself few times to make sure that didn't happen. Perhaps language barrier was an issue. I may or may not go back. read more

On the surface this place seems clean but as I was sitting in the pedicure chair almost done a little cockroach crawled on the arm chair. A few days later I got a toe infection under my toe nail after having my pedicure. They are obviously not practicing safe sanitation. I have been having trouble walking every day and I have never ever had an infection like this before. Beware!!!!! read more

My daughter had me to get natural or simply put not longe at all. At first I thought it was to much but as I look in the mirror it was perfectly done and the young lady did a great job. I got schooled on how to take care of them. They first tried to sale me a brush and some cream, but I wasn't prepared to spend anymore money, so I didn't get them . So they gave me some sample to use and since I came home with them they have worked perfectly. I've gotten quite a few compliments and from some professionals as well asking if they were my own lashes. Unfortunately, she is on vacation and recommended that I visit the Upland location and book with Ryanna. Sadly, this was the worst experience I've ever had getting my lashes done. I went in for a fill, and throughout the appointment my eyes were burning badly. I informed Ryanna aged age just ignored me. Instead, I was told to stop shutting my eyes because the glue would not stick. When the appointment was finished, the lashes on one eye looked noticeably different from the other. One side was less full, and the inner corners were uneven lengths. I normally get the Cutie 6D set, but my lashes did not appear full at all. When I mentioned my concerns, only a few lashes were added before the appointment ended. I returned the following day to have them corrected, but I did not feel welcomed back. Ryanna was with another client and asked me to wait about an hour, she probably thought I would be back instead I kindly said that's fine I'll wait and as I was going to sit she rudely said come to the bed next to the client she was working on. She added a few lashes onto my left eye. Once again, my eye was burning. I had to fan my own eye with my hand, and when I asked for a fan, I was told one was not available. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location, and I would personally not recommend booking with Ryanna.

I've been a loyal client here for about two years, and this was by far the worst experience I've…read moreever had and that says a lot because I usually shy away from speaking up for myself. A service that normally takes 1 hour took 3 hours, and I was laying down the entire time. I am currently recovering from a knee dislocation, and being stuck in that position for so long caused my legs to start feeling numb and left me in pain after leaving. During that time, 3 other clients came in and finished services before I was even finished, which was extremely frustrating. I experienced major eye irritation as my eyes were tearing nonstop, extremely red, and painful by the end of the service and I truly believe it is due to the length in time. When I asked the technician how much longer it would take, I was told 30 more minutes, which then turned into nearly another hour. Despite all of this, I was still charged the full $130, which is what I normally pay for a service that takes about an hour. I asked for a reasonable discount because 3 hours for a 1-hour service is unacceptable and upon opening my eyes I felt the worst burning sensation. After going back and forth, the owner only approved a $10 discount, which felt dismissive given the situation. They offered me eye drops, but only if I used them and immediately gave them back, which I declined because I was already upset. The owner also did not apologize or take accountability and instead made several attempts at holding my wrist while telling me that they said they had told me it would take longer and that the employee was new. I was never told the technician was new, and even if I had been, an additional 2 hours is unreasonable and has now resulted in blurry vision and severe pain and discoloration in my eyes! I'm extremely disappointed, especially as a long-term customer. This experience showed a lack of consideration for client comfort, time, and safety. Unfortunately, this is the last time my family and friends will be returning and I will not be recommending this place anymore as I still have severe eye discoloration and pain even though they said it would only be this way "for a little bit". Well today is day two and I needed help opening my eyes which were closed shut and covered in puss. This is ridiculous and I even had to cancel my weekend plans because I'm embarrassed to be out like this.

I just moved to Upland 2 days ago and was in desperate need of a mani/pedi after all the wear and tear my nails went through from packing/moving boxes. I found this place thru Yelp and called to make an appointment. Since this is my first time so I came 15 minutes early. I sat on the waiting area to look around the salon, I noticed that how the cleanliness of the spa, the tools were sanitized and the pedi chairs were cleaned after each used. All the technicians there are friendly, sweet, truly care about their customers, and they know what they're doing. I had 2 technicians at the same time working on my pedicure and manicure. My pedicure was seamless and comfortable- no sharp tools leading to painful nicks or cuts, and the polish was perfect. They took time to work on my feet. Beside that I also got a free massage with sea-salt, I didn't have to pay extra for that. I love this nail salon not only for the amazing service and their price are in-expensive. I read the yelp reviews Mimi's Nails & Spa before checking it out and wow I was very impressed. I had a Mimi, the place was very clean. I came as soon as they opened they already had their ladies with their appointments ready to go before me but I still didn't have to wait. Mimi, worked on my hands and she did a great job. I was definitely relaxed and pampered. I asked for a difficult design and she aced it! I'm definitely making this my new go to place. I definitely love this nail salon!! This place is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I absolutely love this place! My nails are as stunning as they can get. The employees are great and so nice. This isn't the "you get what you pay," it's better than that! This was my 2nd gel manicure in March because the 1st one did a horrible job and I requested a design, but they never even did the nail design! I have been here 3 times and have always been treated with the utmost respect! All of the technicians in this spa know what they're doing and they do it well. Their customer service is excellent. Their tools are cleaned in a UV machine and they open the bag in front of you. Mimi is my favorite because she understands what kind of art I like.
