The food was amazing! We ordered the Turkey Taco Dip and Kracked Korn for appetizers. The dip was so good and those nachos, hmmm! The corn was okay. My friend ordered the catfish and broccoli and I wanted the salmon bites and macaroni. They were out of the salmon bites so I didn't want anything in its place. We made reservations for my birthday this weekend. I highly suggest you do that if you're coming at a busy time so that you are seated as soon as possible. Our server was nice she was very accommodating and answered all of our questions with transparency. We ordered the hot honey catfish with fries collard greens and mac & cheese. The catfish was delicious. I have my speculations on if it's swai but these "catfish" were decent. They were fried perfectly. The hot honey made the dish excellent. My mom had the mac & cheese and she said it was delicious the four cheese medley made the creaminess of it the perfect combination. Me and him had the fries and collard greens as our sides and the collard greens were very spicy but they were delicious. The fries were good too! Our drinks were top-tier. Because it was my birthday I was gifted a peach Italian ice. They make it in-house and it was delicious. I visited on my daughter's birthday. I order the honey catfish with mac and cheese and collar greens. The food and service were excellent. The server was pleasant and came to the table with a smile every time. The ambiance was loud. I would suggest that the own have the TV's volume turned down. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for casual dining. The appetizer deal (2 for $22) is a great value. I tried the taco skillet and mac & cheese balls--both were flavorful and well-prepared. The elote corn was also a nice addition. For my entrée, I had the hot honey catfish with collard greens, which was outstanding--something I'd definitely order again. First time trying the new location and it was good! There is low lighting, which makes the restaurant feel more intimate and good for a date night. They have cocktails available, and a mix of food. I recently dined here with a party of four, and while the food was absolutely delicious, the service unfortunately fell far below expectations. Our meals did not come out together--each dish was brought out one at a time, with significant delays in between. I was the last person to receive my food, and by that point, the rest of my party had already finished eating. To make matters worse, I didn't receive my drink until my food arrived, despite placing the order much earlier. I was told the bartender was backed up, yet I noticed other tables who arrived after us receiving their drinks without issue. Hoping to address the situation, I asked to speak with a manager. Instead of coming over, the server returned and said the manager wanted to know what I needed--without ever coming to the table. That was very disappointing and felt dismissive. After I finally finished my meal, a staff member approached and began clearing our glasses while stating that they needed the table, which felt rushed and unprofessional given the earlier delays we experienced. I truly wanted to love this place, especially because I value supporting Black-owned businesses, and the food itself was excellent. However, the service experience overshadowed everything else. I hope improvements are made, because this restaurant has great potential--but based on this visit, I'm not sure I would return. read more

Mimi's Craft Kitchen has so much I want to try. Located in Little Italy (therefore parking can be tight) doesn't accept reservations. Went at 1pm and was able to get a seat as the restaurant is intimate. The server was great and patient because I couldn't make up my mind. The food was seasoned just right and reasonably priced! That Anejo Lime Pasta is a hit! I'll have to try the Bourbon Salmon so I know I'll be back. read more

Husband took me here about a week ago, he was raving about how great the food was so I finally tried it. Rice was tasty, I was very happy that the rice was good & not bland tasting. The steak birria was actually really good. Nice hot&fresh crunchy shells, dipping sauce (idk the correct name for it) was great, fries were great.. Italian ice was delicious, sooooo flavorful! Was very excited to try this restaurant that many TikTok creators have been raving over. We arrived 29 minutes after opening time & there were only 2 empty tables. It's a very tiny area but the seating was very close together to the point that even the servers have a hard time getting through. The service was really slow & it took a lot of reminders to get the things we needed. Starting off we ordered the hot honey lemon pepper wings. The wings were VERY tiny. The word "small" wouldn't even be the right term to describe the size of the wings. After tasting the wings it barely fits the lemon pepper or hot flavor but more of honey wings. We ordered two entrees which did not come out at the same time. The hot honey catfish & Mac n cheese were the star of the show. I also ordered a side of broccoli, which was very mushy. We also tried the jambalaya chicken pasta which came out 15 minutes after the catfish entree. The flavor of the pasta was very disappointing & not fitting to the description of the dish. There was little to no seasoning involved in the pasta. Lastly, for there to be a 18% service charge is ridiculous for the service that was received. read more

There were 4 of us that dined inside and we enjoyed our food. We requested to split the bill evenly. We were not given a copy of the bill, the server only told us each how much to pay. After we paid, she told us that we had to Zelle her directly or pay in cash of we wanted to leave her a tip. She informed us that if we left a tip on our credit card, it would go to the restaurant and not her. We all sent her 18% via Zelle. When I got home I received a receipt for the total bill via text (because my credit card is linked to the platform for payment).and the restaurant charged 18% gratuity in the total charge! This means that I just paid 36% gratuity! The restaurant charges an 18% "dining in" charge and you're expected to tip your server at least 18%. Of course we should have insisted on a paper copy of the bill, but I trusted them. I don't blame the server. I blame the restaurant. This restaurant is very deceptive. They just lost a customer AND I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone. Bad business practices and deception will lead to 1 time customers. read more

I have been here before they moved to the new location. Italian ice taste fresh and the tacos were seasoned well. On this trip I had the citrus lime anejo chicken pasta. It was a bit too much lime/citrus for me. I prefer certain pastas to be spicy so I added hot peppers. They added pickled peppers and fresh jalapenos would've been better because it didn't give it that spice kick I was looking for, but that's me. I love spicy!! I will still be back because the new location has a seat down area and serve drinks. The gentlemen that were at the register/counter were friendly. I believe they were 2 of the owners. Customer service was spot on! The lady that waited on me (Mayb Mimi) was pleasant, offered suggestions and favorites. The food took about the exact amount of time that she told me. While I sat and waited the music was lots of old school R&B and hip hop. Others started coming in and the lady was just as kind and attentive to all the guest that came In Now what you really came here for! What I ate. So I got the broccoli bowl with jerk chicken onions cilantro vegan cheese and pico... the smell on the ride home was killing me. It smelled like I needed to pull over and eat right then and there! I open this container to a mountain of goodness. First it can feed 2-3 lol. But I ain't sharing! The spice was just right it is layered exactly how she explained it to me with LOADS of flavor. Let me just let you see. And go see Mimi and them. I can't wait to taste something new! The menu has many options and they even sell Italian ice. If you dine in they have adult beverages.
