A photogenic spot for bubbles in downtown Sonoma! I've had this spot bookmarked for quite some time, and had a lovely first experience. Located just steps from Sonoma Plaza, there is street parking all around, but we took the complimentary shuttle from our hotel which is very convenient for a day of sipping bubbles. SIGH does not take reservations (first come, first served) but we had no trouble snagging a prime spot at the bar on a Friday afternoon. Morgynne was our server and super knowledgeable, giving detailed descriptions of wines we tried, and was patient with us, taking our sweet time enjoying our glasses and documenting our visit. I had the Champagne Flight ($35) and the #YEShusband had the Rosé Flight ($25). The Champagne flight included pours of: Champagne G.H. Mumm Grand Cordon Brut, Champagne Monthuys Brut, and Champagne Château de Bligny Grande Réserve. The Rosé flight included pours of: Cuvée Françoise, Langlois Brut Rosé, and Lucien Albrecht Brut Rosé. We also ordered some additional post-flight glasses of the Schramsberg Mirabelle Blanc de Blancs and Lucien Albrecht Brut Rosé to cap off our time at SIGH. I've been here 2-3x. The ambiance is very chic and cute. The lady who served us was super nice and kept checking on us as we sat in the back area. We ordered a boozy slushi: Froze & Liquid gold. Unfortunately, I can't rave too much on the boozy slushi. For a place like this, you'd think they would make it fresh with a blender but it's pre-made. Had I paid more attention I would've noticed the 3 big slushi machines at the bar. What I thought was weird was that they sprinkled nerds on top of the slushi. Just seems odd for a nice place that serves champagne & wine. I couldn't even suck up anything from the straw because the slush was so frozen. I had to let it sit for a few minutes so it would melt. After it defrosted some, it would be tough to suck it up the straw because pieces of nerd candy would get stuck in the straw. The drink was good but I would never have imagined sprinkling nerds on top of my bubbly Rose/froze. We also had seasoned fries, a caviar platter, and a platter with fig jam. The decor is modern, bright, and features mirrored walls, bar seating, and floor-to-ceiling drapery. The champagne foils in the tables and the bubbly looking chandeliers are the perfect decor to transport you into a world of champagne and bubbles. They have an immense menu of champagne and other bubbles available by the bottle. They range from very upscale and unique in the hundreds of dollars range, to more affordable in the $50-70 range. Aside from the bottles they also offer bubbles by the glass, in a flight, and paired with caviar. On both visits we've chosen to enjoy a bottle and have been met with great recommendations and service. This is my favorite spot off the Sonoma Square because it has such great memories. My wife and I came to celebrate our engagement just days before. The ambiance is great with plenty of photo opportunities. I'd recommend trying a bubble flight and enjoying some great champagne options they have onsite. They also have boozey slushies that are worth a try. Food is limited to charcuterie and small snacks that are delicious, but don't plan on coming and calling it a meal. We had a young female staff who was friendly and patient with our group of friends. It may have been the manager, but one of the male staff members was pushy as well as a little overwhelming. I observed how he followed the younger staff member by hovering over her in an intense manner which we thought was weird because it gave off a weird vibe. Would I go back? Absolutely adore Sigh and really hope it sticks around for a long time! I've met and chatted with Jayme several times over the years, whether at their old location or their new and she is passionate about what she does. She sources some of the finest champagne and bubbles internationally and local. You can splurge with some of the best or opt for something slightly cheaper that is local, it's all up to you. The new location, which has been around for a few years now is a huge upgrade over the previous, more space, glamourous, inviting, and much more. While COVID did slow Sigh down a bit, the city was gracious enough to let them operate in the park to continue to allow both local and tourists the chance to enjoy some sparkly goodness. They do offer some other drinks as well as it is more of a "bar" rather than a tasting room including the seasonal slushies (Yum!), so it's a good offering for many who are not bubbly drinkers. Always a great experience, spot, and vibe. Cannot recommend it enough to others! read more
