This review is long overdue…read more My friends and I booked a Champagne tasting for party of six. Going into this I had absolutely no idea of what to expect but was very pleasantly surprised with the experience. We tasted three different bottles of Champagne. These bottles aren't ones typically found at your standard chain wine store. Bill provided background information on each and led us in a discussion of the differences. He clearly has a passion for this and loved sharing his extensive knowledge. We opted to have cheese to nibble on while we sipped and chatted. There were two other parties there that night but ours was the largest. There are smaller rooms available but our party was in the main seating area. The experience lasted for several hours and is a must for anyone that loves Champagne. This would be a great experience for birthday party or celebration, for a group or a couple. I think the price is rather reasonable for this experience.

TLDR; Excellent Champagne, well priced, and Bill was warm and knowledgeable…read more Came with my mom for Mother's Day ahead of dinner nearby. Bill greeted us at the door and showed us into the space. Despite being a primarily residential building, the tasting lounge was professional, clean, and well curated - great vibe (no idea why anyone would feel differently). Started by pulling up maps to show us where our wines would be coming from with details on the terroir and some history on the producers. Many of these producers he's visited and knows personally, which made whole experience feel much more authentic than others tastings I've done. Can tell he really loves this stuff and his passion is contagious. Poured very unique bottles you won't find many other places and all delicious. Recommend any champagnes fans in Bay Area visit.

You can order drinks directly at the bar or find an open seat and have a server take your order. It took us about 10 minutes of walking around before we finally found a table. Although the service was a little slow at first because of how busy it was, once we were helped, the experience was excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. The food is definitely on the pricier side, but it's well worth it. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the martinis were especially impressive. If you're looking for a relaxing spot with breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline, The View Lounge is a great choice. The combination of great cocktails, tasty food, and the incredible city views makes it a place I'd happily visit again.

Servers were frequently walking around attending to all the tables. We loved everything we ate except the tuna ( we didn't like the sauce) the tuna was great we just didn't like the sauce For drinks we had the Garden Fizz, Paloma, and Lycheetini. All wonderful For food we had : charcuterie board, prawn cocktail ( HUGE prawns and my second favorite dish), ahi tuna tataki, chicken adobo tacos and the Prosciutto flatbread ( my favorite!) For dessert we shared the Ube Crème Brûlée I wanted to try the house made chips cause they looked delicious but I was too full. Definitely a great place to come and celebrate!

We tried a couple glasses of wine (Pinot Noir and Sangiovese) and enjoyed them both. To snack on, we created our own charcuterie board, with Aged Cheddar, Barley Buzzed Cheddar, and the Ragged Point (we wanted the Afterglow, but they were out), as well as salami, crackers, and olives. The presentation was fairly simple and not very impressive, and it seemed a bit overpriced for what we got. But the cheeses were good and we finished the whole thing. We enjoyed our visit, a pleasant atmosphere with inviting decor and wine bottles set up nicely throughout, with so many unique wine options for purchase. And the added laid-back entertainment specifically for this event made for a great experience overall.

To drink, I had a glass of Chablis (handsomely poured) and a taste of another white wine. They must change their wine list quite frequently because I have seen other European wines in the past. To eat, I got the salmon toast with crème fraiche - it looks light but is filling and packed with protein. A friend of mine got the burrata which comes with a tomato sauce and bruschetta for dipping. The owner behind the bar was polite and the back waiter friendly as well. There were several tables inside and while intimate, could hold several dozen people. Overall, would come back.

Whether you're in the mood for a floral white, a full-bodied red or a fruity rosé, the staff is always ready with thoughtful suggestions. I also love that you can order tasting pours before committing to a full glass... and I love their Gabriel-glas stemware! It's on the ground floor below the Mira and fits right into the vibe of the neighborhood. Think casual, upscale, polished industrial chic with lots of concrete, glass and low lighting. There's not a bad seat in the house, whether you choose to sit at the bar to marvel at their gorgeous floor-to-ceiling wine wall, or to sit by one of the huge windows and people-watch. My favorite part is that it's quiet and never too crowded, which makes it an excellent choice for any occasion: chill date night, catching up with friends, post-work drinks. No need to yell over a DJ, and def comfortable enough to linger and order "just one more" ;) Such a gem!

We didn't have a reservation but lucked out and got seated right away at a beautiful spot on the rooftop. The atmosphere and the drinks were great, but the food was a major letdown--mostly because it was just incredibly annoying to eat. We ordered the deviled eggs, zucchini strips, fries, and a cheese board. For a rooftop lounge, they really need to rethink their menu mechanics: Deviled eggs: Way, way too salty. Zucchini strips: Cut way too big. You literally need a fork and knife just to eat them. Cheese and meat board: Came out without a cheese knife, which made trying to share and eat it an absolute mess. When you're out having drinks on a roof, you shouldn't have to struggle with your food. They need to stick to actual finger foods, canapés, or anything on a skewer or toothpick. Great spot for a drink and the view, but definitely eat somewhere else first.

I was craving a refreshing craft cocktail and got one with the Green Emmanuelle. I liked the cardamom in the Beauty Mark as well that my partner ordered. We ordered shishito peppers and mushroom bahn mi sliders. The mushroom bahn mi sliders were amazing - the quality fillings and taste of the soft bun - I was unexpectedly hit with a bite of spice from maybe jalapeño seeds left but didn't sour my experience. The shishito peppers ended up being extremely spicy as well, those are usually just a few spicy and not the majority. The roasted lemon and salt was a wonderful combo but just too spicy to eat. However, the server very kindly removed it from our bill without us asking. We order the crostini because we were still hungry and that was an absolute hit. Delicious med-soft crostini with luscious berries and sweet honey. I didn't care my hands got sticky as it was soooo good! Great experience, I would be weary if the peppers as I'm a bit spice-intolerant but everything else was spot-on.
