Min Du is one of my favorite Chinese buffets in the area, if not my favorite all together! They have a smaller selection of food than the other Chinese buffets in the area but, what they serve is always fresh, hot, and delicious. And they change over their dishes frequently, guaranteeing that everything stays fresh. They have the best peanut butter chicken, in my opinion. The staff here are extremely friendly and they remember who you are if you are a frequent diner. The last time I stopped in I was greeted with smiles and "Hi how are you? Great to see you again!" I would recommend this buffet to anyone, and I have many many times. If you love Chinese food then you should definitely give Min Du a try!

We live in the area and have been to all of the Chinese spots, multiple times. Min Du is 100% my favorite Chinese buffet in Appleton! It's small, but intimate and never too crowded. There is not a mega selection like at some Chinese buffets, but has all the "staples" you're looking for are there and they are delicious and fresh. I think their specialty is the peanut butter chicken - it's SO GOOD! And the owners are super sweet and the price is unbeatable!

We tried the Friday night offerings. From the outside, you have a rather sterile, commercial building. The dining rooms don't offer much more in ambience. However, the huge bar area is an awesome throwback to the 1970's. We started at the bar. Quick service. Reasonably priced drinks. The old fashioned wasn't anything to write home about. We were seated and met our waitress. She was very nice and was attentive to us throughout our visit. She and the bartender truly helped the overall rating (3.5 if Yelp trusted reviewers) with half stars. Everyone in our party tried the buffet. Everyone found something to their liking. Overall, it offered a nice-sized and well kept salad bar. There was clam chowder for soup. It was just okay. On the main buffet, the walleye, butterflied shrimp and sliced steak were good. Staff did a great job keeping the food filled. The chicken cordon blue was a strange casserole and according to a dining partner, the ribs were okay. Two sheet cakes served as dessert. Overall, not a bad place but not great. Other than the bar area, it lacks your traditional supper club vibe. Would I try it again? Sometime; just not soon. There are too many supper clubs available to settle for "good".

They have a dedicated fryer and they make their own (gluten free) breading. I started with Mark's famous French Onion soup (you must have this!), them went on to the Bavarian platter that includes Veiner Schnitzel (oh damn, that was good), Bavarian sausage, smoked pork chop with apple sauce, and gluten free dumplings. My wife had the Reuben sandwich and onion rings. I wish they had a younger clientele. Younger folks would really enjoy their great selections! I didn't know how busy it gets, but they had plenty of tables open, although we came at about 5pm. The ambience was favorable to the dining. The lighting was intimate but not dark. The bathroom was clean and worth a good review by itself.

Main dishes come with soup or salad. Both are yummy. Everything is so good!! When I am in Appleton, I always want to eat at Mark's!

The menu doesn't have descriptions, but the host will describe any food to you. We Googled most food because we were not as used to Southern Indian food. Before getting into details, this place really knows how to cook food well. Fried foods are perfectly cooked and not dripping oil... it was almost as if they used an air fryer. Spices are somehow permeating the food and yet you can still recognize individual spice flavors. Be aware that they use paper plates and plastic tableware. Since you're not cutting into meat, the plastic ware is useable. We got the following: Mango lassi - mango and yogurt drink and I detected a bit of cardamom. They were on par with most Indian restaurants. Limca - lemon lime soda. Tasted like 7up. Samosa - Pastry pockets came with a spicy sauce like a Sirracha ketchup, perfectly fried, no oil saturation. Potato and spice stuffing was fresh and had a great texture. Palak Vada - like a savory spinach donut, excellent fresh roasted spice flavors, perfectly fried, no oil saturation. The texture had crunchy bits on the outer crust and an inside like cornbread. Spices were amazing! Dipping sauce was a peanut chutney with fennel. Paneer Masala Dosa - crepe-like pancake with fresh farmer's cheese bits and a masala curry. It also came with peanut chutney and sambar. Dosas are made from fermented ground lentils and rice batter. They taste a bit like a crepe with the slight taste of a fresh cheese that has been fried. Butter Dosa - this was very similar to the Paneer Masala Dosa but the ingredients spread on the inside were like a mild, buttery curry paste. Butter Masala Dosa - this tasted very similar to the Butter Dosa. Sambar with White Rice - you pour the soup over the rice and it ends up being like a red curry dish with veggies. Served with a papadum, which is thin cracker that tastes like a saltine. Lemon rice - not very lemony but looked like a fried rice and tasted like a jasmine and yellow curry rice.
