This place is horrible we showed up about 2 and half hours before they closed there we not many people here they gave us the wrong drinks the food was under cooked towards the back it smelled HORRIBLE we asked them if they could cook us a steak and they said they didn't won't to fire up the grill again and showed us pieces of burnt meat that they cut off the other ones told them no so they made us one it was still cold in the middle then they started taking the sings off we asked to speak to the manager Justin he was no help he told us to hurry up and he was completely rude about everything then they turned the music up loud and one of the employees went around singing and saying a bunch of different things I would not recommend this place read more

First visit to Golden Corral in several years. Always enjoyed the food until this visit. Brief summary is this place needs new management. Most of the food was sitting out way too long. Mashed potatoes were dried out and discolored, the few slices of meatloaf were dried out and looked like hockey pucks, I think they were pork chops or maybe dog chews from the pet store across the street, not sure Bbq ribs were overcooked and dry, shrimp and hush puppies were overcooked and dry. Mexican food looked like it had been sitting since lunch and inedible. Our server , Mercedes was friendly and working her butt off to clear tables and keeping drinks full. Cleanliness didn't seem to be a priority and some of the tables looked worse after being wiped down. The only reason I gave two stars was because of our server. We love Dick And Joans. Our favorite spot to eat. We Live close by and have never been disappointed ever. Diane is our favorite waitress she is so sweet attentive and just fun we love and appreciate her. The soup and salad bar are amazing, try the hot bacon dressing it is the best. The steaks are like butter so tender. Do yourself a favor and try it out. It does get very busy so be patient and get there early it s worth the wait. read more

My daughter and I went there tonight, on the rare night I have off from being a cook in a supperclub over in Mischicott. THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUISTING, and when I went and demanded to speak with their manager, it was made clear that she couldn't speak English and had to have a very courteous blond woman come out to translate, via phone. My question off the bat, is to what standard is their kitchen staff being held to, because everything except the salad bar and dessert station was absolutely horrible. I got a baked potatoe, and it was dried up and shriveled in aluminum foil. The meatloaf was harder than rubber, the cheeseburger was extremely overcooked, and even the macaroni and cheese, which comes in a bag, was overcooked and nasty. My daughter ate a piece of chicken and a desert, and so I paid for her meal, , but demanded my money back for my portion. It is really sad that one of the last true buffets In our area has allowed itself to sink to these levels. ESPECIALLY AFTER SHUTTERING DURING COVID, AND THEN CLAIMING THEY WERE GOING TO BE BETTER THAN EVER! Went here a couple of week-ends ago without knowing they'd closed. During the time we were rattling both doors someone else drove up expecting to go in as well. No signs on the doors saying they we closed. Called the Green Bay location and mentioned the Appleton location and they acted surprised I didn't know it was closed. We went a few weeks ago on a Sunday at 4:30. 80% of the items/dishes were empty. I had to say something to the manager and they started filling up the food items. Most of the food tastes good. It's the cleanliness that bothers me. The server kept loading all the dirty dishes onto one table, in the dining room. From there, she stood and sorted the dirty silverware into glasses. I really want to see a table full of dirty dishes all the while I dine, and then see my server handling those dirty dishes so much, before coming over to refill my drink. No thank you. I paid $41.70 for probably the worst dining experience I have had in years. The pie was frozen, the corn waterlogged, the steak was extremely salty, the bread pudding was soupy, mashed potatoes were bland, the spaghetti noodles were hours past done.. very mushy, absolutely disgusting, our used plates and glasses were never picked up, there was no silverware anywhere to be seen other than steak knives. Servers can't tell the difference between a normal and diet fountain drink. This is just a few of the many things that was wrong with this place. With the price and quality of the food here; it is not worth coming again. Betcha' if this place was on 'Hell's Kitchen" Gordon Ramsay would literally get the State Health Department to shut it down. read more

Don't bother. The food was fine, but the service was non-existent. WE had to remove our used plates from the table and put them on an empty table next to us. No offer of drink refills. No visit from ANY staff to see if everything was OK. Will not return to Golden Corral, at least not to this one. Deserves zero or negative stars. read more

My family has been taken my Father and I here for Veteran's day for years and every year the staff here are amazing. They do such an incredible job of handling the huge volume of customers coming through; from getting people seated, to keeping the food and drinks coming. Haven't been to GC for a few months and was very disappointed there today. They made several changes which were not for the better. The food being the worst. They used to have a decent selection of food but not anymore. It seems like they are trying to cut corners to save money. GC used to be a good value, not anymore. We always enjoy coming here because the server Leon is super friendly, fills your drinks fast and is very attentive to his tables. He treats everyone like long time pals. He is the reason I keep coming here, Carla is also fantastic, super friendly and you can tell she enjoys her job. Now on the negative side. Went there and everything on the buffet was wiped out practically, I was hoping for a taco but the beans and meat were dry and crusted to what was left. Waited and waited for them to refresh it but the guy continued to prep onions and such and not check what was needed to be filled. Plenty of times there was a line up to get a piece of steak because nobody was in sight to serve it. Management was barely seen only to be hiding in the back room to avoid dealing with it. The chocolate fountain looked ghetto as only half the chocolate was flowing, I usually have certain go to foods, one being the baked fish and it was never put out last night. I felt bad for my server as every time I went up to get something I could find 1 or 2 edible things. So he had to clear more plates due to the fact I had to keep going up to see if something new and fresh would come out only to find myself getting again one more thing only on my plate. I ended up with a salad and cottage cheese. Please please please give Leon and Carla a raise because without those two working there, I would never return and have no regrets. read more

My buffet adventure across the Fox Cities started with this gem. My review will start with a complement, I liked the chocolate milk, and the fish cooking station. They charge more on the weekend for the new fish station, shrimp, a "crab cake", and tilapia. Served without the sauce, the fish was yummy, the "crab cake" tasted like a stuffing cake, and the shrimp was ok. The other food was cold, gross, or empty. Ok, in all fairness, if the plates were adult sized I could have tried more food, but with the crowds, it is hard to get anything on the tiny plate in the first place. The desert table was cool, cotton candy, cake, pie, and the new chocolate fountain. The fountain is fun, not tasty, but fun. If you have a large family with no taste buds, this is your place. read more

We stop here every time we are in the valley and we have never been disappointed. Judging by the number of people there, we are not alone. The food is fresh and well prepared and the service is top notch. (We try to sit where Diane is serving) The people who rate this so low have to realize, this is not a Las Vegas buffet. This was my third try on this bad restaurant. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! I have eaten at buffets in several different state and this is by far the worst I have even been to.I love Prime Rib so I tried that on a Friday night, it was in-edible. Seasoned with so much salt my mouth burned for an hour afterwards. The cut was more like a slice, LESS THAN 3/8 OF AN INCH THICK. I have seen plywood paneling that was thicker! The baked potato was hard and under cooked, the vegetable was not even lukewarm. I asked for the corporate contact info only to find out this unit is a franchise. Someone came out and did not identify himself and told me they only follow the recipe they get from the corporate supplier, using the spices they are sent. He admitted that the outside of the prime rib is to salty for him. Obviously the "cooks" they hire never even taste the food they serve. LIKE I SAID EARLIER, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Oh boy, where do I start? First Off my boyfriend and I received a completely raw slider, it was still mooing when I bit into it. After the manager saw the slider they proceed to bring us yet another raw slider. I had gotten a few hush puppies and noticed a hair was stuck from the inside. As I went up for my second plate, I noticed one of the cooks standing on the flat top grill cleaning something, quite disgusting and made me rethink about eating my food. Not to mention they couldn't even give us clean silverware. I received a steak knife that still had left over food on it. And as for quality of food, it was lacking, the meatloaf was rather dry. My family has been to Golden Corral many times in the past. Sadly, over the years, the food quality keeps going downhill and the staff care less during every visit (for example, the time a server dumped our food while we were in the bathroom and didn't even apologize). Tonight was the make-or-break dining experience that finally made me say Eff it, we are not going back. When I walked in with my husband, there was a line all the way from the register to the front door. Okay, they were busy. We made our way to the counter, and the kid working there didn't even look at us until we were almost past him. Finally, instead of saying hello or even smiling, he asked, "What do you want to drink?" Wow, have niceties gone out the window just because you have a line? Then another young kid was just standing behind the counter looking at us like we were aliens. He, too, just asked, "How many?" instead of saying hello. From the opposite counter, he yelled how much we owed, then slapped our credit card down and told my husband to sign it. What the eff was going on tonight?? After we paid, a woman who I assume is the manager, was directing patrons to different open tables. When it was our turn, she gestured us forward and said, "Okay let's go," while barely looking at us, not smiling, and didn't say hello. AGAIN. The table she pointed to was in the back middle of the left section (when you're facing the food line), and it was DIRTY. There were scraps of paper laying on it and visible ice cream drips all the way across. WHAT? You just let me sit down at a table where little kids were spitting their food out, and I also got to sit on a chair that had to be wiped first? Is no one paying attention over there?? I'm not even done yet, though! My husband put his sweater on a chair because, you know, that one time a server dumped our food and we were still in the building. We went to the salad bar and made up a plate for ourselves. By the time we came back, there was still no silverware for us to eat with. They have this stupid new process where the servers drop it off rather than having it readily available near the plates. A female server came by several times and my husband finally asked for forks. No one ever approached us to greet us, introduce themselves, or leave their business card. We returned to the line and got our entrees, and during that time, my husband's cup was emptied while mine was down to less than half. We had seen a male server walking around as well, clearing plates and filling drinks. We were sitting amongst the dirty plates from our previous trip as well as two still empty glasses, and both servers were assisting the diners at every table but ours. I kid you not, I was beyond bewildered and upset when neither one of them would look me in the eye or acknowledge that I was staring holes into them while they worked. I finally had enough, with my husband's soda empty for 20-25 minutes, we had not spoken with a single server the entire meal, and nobody would even look at me when I tried to catch their eyes. Without finishing our food, we stood up to leave and the male server FINALLY said, "Have a good night," I was so pissed, I blurted out, "We won't! We didn't get any service the whole time we were here!" While I was in the middle of the sentence, he literally raised his hand and waved me away without saying a word. I kind of stood and stared at him for a second, trying to comprehend whether he really did it. He never looked back at me or said a word, so you bet I stormed out FUMING. And that's how this post was born. Never in my life have I EVER gone somewhere and been blatantly ignored for the entirety of my visit. We spent our money to go there and eat, we don't cause trouble, and we were there for at least an hour. How on earth do they get away with treating people like this? I'll certainly not pay them to disrespect me again, especially after seeing them give foot massages on the table last Mother's Day. I'm done sitting down and allowing myself to be demeaned - I hadn't even spoken to a server, so I KNOW I didn't do anything wrong. Where to begin...this restaurant is simply fantastic. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the attentive and friendly staff. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially since you're paying for an unlimited amount of food. But the food is what really sets this place apart. I have never had a better taco, queso , ham, and salad in my life. And to think--they have it all here!! After having numerous plates of this food, we had to try the deserts. I tried literally everything, and it was all fantastic. The chocolate fountain was so elegant and classy, adding and enhancing the rich, wonderful atmosphere. On top of that, our server, Emiliano was awesome with keeping up with the refills and clearing our table. Golden Corral, you have my heart and soul. I will add this restaurant to my daily schedule, in between dropping the kids off at school and my yoga classes. Thank you for being you. read more

Golden Corral USED to be great while they had compation up the street. Now that their competitives closed, Golden Correl has gone down hill big time. Not a good variety anymore, Too much salt for sure. Just too greasy now. They just don't care anymore I guess. Used to get a nice choice on Fridays but now there are maybe 2 shrimp items, 1 fish and poor quality steak. I am now looking for a better place to eat out.
