Even after being fixed once for free, two more nails broke off in less than 3 days. For $80, I expected my nails to last much longer. I won't be returning, but I do really appreciate the staff's kindness and trying to fix it. And hope they can improve their technique.

So, my husband sent her the money, and I thought nothing of it. It wasn't a few days ago that I noticed the funds gone in the amount of $400.00. I asked my husband what it cost so much. He said Victoria charged him $350.00, and he gave her a $50.00 tip. I couldn't believe it. I texted Victoria, and she said she worked for herself now, and her supplies went up. I started looking at my hair, and I couldn't believe what she had done. The highlights underneath are too far from my head. The back of my hair looks like a skunk. She botched my hair. I texted her again with zero response. I want our money refunded ASAP. I've noticed a difference in Victoria's demeanor the last three or four times I've seen her. Her attitude is "entitled" and "better than you" Victoria did not act like this when I met her. She was humble and sincere. She even came to my house during the pandemic to fix my hair. I'm somewhat in shock. She took advantage of us because we have never questioned the cost and always, always have left a gratuitous gratuity. I'm looking for a new stylist. I'm very late to the party. And I NEVER write reviews. Mina is such a sweet talented down to earth woman. I discovered her via Groupon when she offered a Japanese Straightening Treatment (Yuko). My hair has always been so unmanageable and I had lost all my confidence in trying to keep it contained. Her price was extremely reasonable and I (a poor college student who worked two jobs) needed that. She was so calm, warm, and welcoming and always happy to see me. She was very gentle and sweet and hardworking. I loved that she would always discuss the process with me so I know what she's doing to my hair. I even went through a phase where I got reasonable voice damage and she NEVER made me feel like I had to fill the empty space. She simply smiled and worked, every now and then checking in on me and explained what she was doing. It was very relaxing. I have since moved to the Sacramento area to be closer to my family after graduation and my recent marriage. I thought it would be easy to find someone to do my touchups but it has become such a hassle that I've considered driving the 3.5-4 hours just to get it done by Mina every few months. Last year my stylist decided to take a few months off. I was in desperate need of a Brazilian Blowout, and decided to look on yelp for someone who could do it. Mina had really good reviews and I was so impressed with her amazing talent after looking at her pictures. I requested an appointment through Yelp, and she responded right away. She did such a fantastic job on my hair and her pricing was significantly lower than what I was used to paying. My husband complimented me on the way my hair looked after my first appointment, which he never used to notice before. Mina is so very flexible with her schedule and always confirms my appointment the day before. Just got my first Olaplex treatment by Victoria & Mina. I cant leave 100% honest review on the treatment just yet but I would like to comment on Mina (the owner) & Victoria who did the Olaplex treatment. Both ladies were super sweet & made feel very comfortable! Victoria was very gentle with my long/thick hair from start to finish which I really appreciate! I had a tight budget & couldn't do the entire "cut,treatment & style" so when it came time to dry my hair Mina offered me her blow dryer if I wanted to blow dry my hair. That was very sweet of her & overall I got great vibes from both of them! Highly recommend Mina's hair salon! Plus her shop is super cute & cozy! Very convenient to downtown Alvarado st. in Monterey. Now that I found Mina to cut and color my hair I can relax! Finding a good hair stylist in a new town is challenging! Mina took time to really understand what I wanted. I am in my early 50s and totally gray but had transitioned out of coloring my hair completely to weaving highlights and lowlights into the gray to look more natural,but not washed out. Mina did research before my first session with her and showed me pictures to get an accurate picture of what I wanted. She did it perfectly! She is highly skilled, professional, and warm hearted! If I could give this place 10/5 starts I would. I had an emergency with my hair being a faded copper color I couldn't stand and I wanted to be blonde before going back home. I had NO appointment, I only called hoping she would see me. She was the only hairdresser in the area to even consult with me, and then she moved around her clients to fit me in. She stayed until 9:30pm (closes at 6!). She dedicated over four hours to do my hair and the results were magical. She really cares so much for her job and I wanted to cry happiness when we finished I gave her the biggest hug. She even felt bad for charging me after five hours of work, such a humble person. I love Everything Mina does for me. She not only knows creative hair style but she is great with color to match your personality. I go for touch ups and she does highlights only when my hair is ready. I just want to start off by saying Mina and her entire staff are so amazing! They make you feel welcome and comfortable as soon as you walk in the door. I have extremely long and thick hair that can make many hairdressers nervous but not Mina. She made managing my hair look easy! I let her know that I had virgin hair and wanted a balayage and she took care of the rest. I love that she went with the lighter colors framing around my face, her creativity truly shines here! Mina is the best! I have gotten 3 Brazilian blow outs from her that always turn out great. I had never dyed my hair before and she recently did some peekaboo highlights for me that are tasteful and that I absolutely love. Each time I see her she has tips for different things I can try to help take better care of my hair and her suggestions are always very helpful.
