We got our wedding bands at Minah Jewelry back in August 2017 !! I got the Cartier style eternity band. When we were getting our rings the owner (the wife) was super helpful and patient with us. It was obviously our first time getting wedding bands so we weren't really sure what exactly we wanted. She showed us different styles and matched our budget. We were able to set our minds on the rings. We waited maybe a week for the rings and she made the whole process so smooth and helpful (with all the other crazy wedding stuff going on) After 4 months one of my diamonds from the ring fell out. (I think I hit my ring on something and it fell out) I was freaking out a little bit because I wasn't sure if they'll fix it for me. :( I called them and they said "no problem just bring it in!" Took it in and he (the husband) worked on my ring not only for free but it took him maybe 15-20 min! He explained what happened to the ring (I hit it on something and one of the bridges were broken) After I got the ring back he saw my engagement ring on my finger and even though we didn't get the ring from Minah Jewelry he wanted to clean my ring for me. He gave it a quick steam so that both rings were bling bling! I would definitely recommend Minah Jewelry to anyone! My lovely baby friend Marlowe C. turned one last month, and as she was having a traditional Korean dohl ceremony, I decided to get her the traditional Korean present: a straight-up cold hunk of gold. For tastefulness' sake (I assume), dohl gold takes the form of tiny baby-sized hammered bracelets and rings, stamped with patterns that look distinctly Korean. The idea is that the baby gets the gold presents when she grows up, and melts them to take to her local Cash 4 Gold. I knew this was a traditional gift, but didn't really know where to get it, and even Yelp failed me briefly, with no real hits for dohl jewelry. Instead, I looked for a Korean jeweler, and Yelp turned up Minah Jewelry. I called the number listed and asked the woman who answered if she sold dohl jewelry, and she said yes, come on down. Matt B. and I stopped by on a Saturday just after noon. We found Minah in one of those huge bazaars in the jewelry district. It was one of an overwhelming number of stalls, but I gather that it must have quite the following. There were already two customers at the counter when we got there, and while we were helped, another group arrived. It became clear pretty quickly that we were the only ones there who weren't regulars. I liked the woman running the show. She was an affable Korean lady with good English (I spoke to her mostly in English, as my whitey husband was there), and she was obviously good at developing a rapport with her customers. She was accommodating, warm, and polite--we had to wait our turn, of course, and she made sure we knew we weren't forgotten. When I asked her about the dohl jewelry, she immediately presented me with options, both rings and bracelets. She gave me her advice when I asked for it, and I walked out with a little gold bracelet. Everything about the transaction was straightforward and easy. I have a friend who works in the jewelry district, who I generally go to for any jewelry-related needs, but I'll visit Minah for dohl presents from here on out.
