She is patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and always up to date on the best training approaches, but what makes her especially amazing is how deeply she genuinely cares. Because of Sally, our dog is so well mannered, everyone we meet comments on how well behaved our dog is. That's a direct reflection of her consistency and dedication. Sally has been there for us through training, boarding, board-and-train, and daycare, and I have never once worried about leaving our dog in her hands. Her place truly feels like our dog's second home, and that kind of trust means everything. Her assistant, Sam, is also wonderful, kind, attentive, and clearly just as caring with the dogs. They also go above and beyond with enrichment and socializing, taking the dogs on walks, to dog parks, and even on beach outings. Thanks to the socialization and experiences they provide, our dog's confidence has grown so much. One of the sweetest things Sally did was throw a birthday party at daycare for our girl's first birthday and her dog friends. It was such a special memory and just shows how much love she puts into what she does. If you're looking for someone who will love your dog as much as you do, Sally is your person. I highly recommend her! Thank you Sally and Sam!

Teddy a sweet pup but struggled with anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding and was VERY sensitive to being touched and would often lash out or try to bite. We were really worried about how to help him and how to curb some of these bad habits we'd no doubt reinforced with our own behavior. When I called Brett for the initial consult, he was patient, understanding but also honest and direct about the time and effort it would take and the changes we would have to make to have a real impact. We were open to the feedback and committed to making a change in and out of our home. WOW. We've been working with Brett consistently for 3 months and Teddy is like a new dog. He is calmer, happier, more obedient, and much more confident and tolerate of being touched (especially on sensitive areas like his paws!). Our friends and family have all been shocked at the noticeable difference in Teddy's overall demeanor (happier and calmer!) and behavior. Our groomer asked us what had changed as he was so much calmer and happier to deal with. I want to be clear this is no "magic pill" we put in the work but with Brett's guidance and structure, we cannot believe the results. Teddy is of course still a work in progress and we have more work to do, but seeing the progress he's made in such a short amount of time with Brett's thoughtful approach has been so exciting. Brett truly understands dogs and their psychology and this makes him a true expert. Just know that part of the training process is training your pup but also training yourself to adjust your own behaviors to create a positive outcome long term for everyone. We cannot recommend Brett enough!!!

Top-Tier Master Trainer! Brett transforms crazy dogs by training the owners. My German Shepherd,…read moreLucy, was in a shelter for over four months before I got her at around eight months old, so you can imagine how completely chaotic, spastic, and misbehaved she was. I was entirely overwhelmed and at my wit's end trying to manage her behaviors. When I hired Brett, I'll admit I fought him along the way on some of the training protocols--but in the end, he was correct about EVERYTHING. The most vital thing for difficult or frustrated dog owners to understand is that Brett's training isn't just about fixing the dog; it is primarily about training YOU, the owner. He provides an exceptional structure and leadership framework, but it only works if you are willing to check your own habits, get on board, and consistently follow through as a pack leader. His methods are incredibly kind, humane, and highly effective at correcting severe behavioral issues. Today, I am so incredibly happy with how my once-crazy dog has turned out. Thanks to Brett, Lucy is a wonderful companion who listens perfectly, handles major environment changes like moving to Downtown LA beautifully, and doesn't react to other people or animals anymore. Having her in my life has truly become the amazing journey I always hoped it would be. If you are willing to put in the work on your end, Brett is absolutely the best master trainer you can find!

We are currently working on taking the CGC - Canine Good Citizen test for Leia. I like the option of lessoning in the park where there are more distractions for the dogs. It's also nice that the dogs can mingle before or after class (I've been to another trainer where all the dogs were petitioned off and cannot see one another). Her class is easy to follow and I love how at the start of each class, she asks how everything is going and if there's something specific that people need help with. If there is, then we'll start with that, if not, then we do a quick review and start to learn something new. Time goes by in her classes because we are all having fun! If you have a dog that is not ready to be with a group of dogs, you can still attend! She'll have you and your dog be further away from the group so you can still see/learn. I have seen my friend's dog, Max, go from a dog that just barks the entire time in the parking lot to a trained puppy in the main group! Her methods work and they work right away, but you do have to keep practicing with your four-legged friend. You can't expect to go to her classes once a week and have your dog trained. At Puppy Socials at the studio, there are two groups, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs. She and her assistant will monitor the dogs and make sure that they are not being too aggressive or teach the shy puppies how to make their way out to shine (and they do after taking a couple of Puppy Social sessions!). You can also session private socials with just a couple dogs in the studio. Jacqueline loves animals and has extensive knowledge of them. She always puts the animal first. She has degrees in Exotic Animal Training, Animal Behavior Management, Wildlife Education & Sociology. She's very flexible with scheduling and will help make timing work for her clients. I highly recommend Jacqueline and LA Dog's Trainer to everyone!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience has honestly been one of the most…read moredisappointing customer service experiences I've had in a long time. To start on a positive note: the instructors at Zoom Room Sherman Oaks are wonderful. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and great with my puppy. I truly have nothing negative to say about the training staff themselves. Unfortunately, management completely changed my perception of this business. When I first reached out about enrolling my puppy at just 3 months old, Diego was extremely responsive, accessible, and accommodating. At the time, it felt like he genuinely cared about helping me get started early and setting my puppy up for success. Looking back now, it feels more like the priority was simply making the sale. I purchased a 20-class package and completed about 10 sessions before I was involved in an accident that medically took me out for several months. Once I recovered enough to return, I was excited to continue training and finish the remaining sessions I had already paid for -- only to suddenly be told that my classes had "expired." Here's the issue: nowhere during the sales process do I remember this being clearly explained, nor is it something that stood out on their website when I enrolled. Had someone transparently told me, "These classes must be completed within X amount of time or you lose them," I would have understood the terms upfront. Instead, I was left feeling blindsided after dealing with a serious medical situation that was completely outside my control. What made this experience especially frustrating was how differently I was treated once I needed help instead of making a purchase. Diego suggested I contact the Culver City location because they are corporate-owned and might be able to approve an exception. Their staff was incredibly kind, empathetic, and accommodating. They even told me they personally did not understand why Sherman Oaks would not work with me given the circumstances surrounding my accident. Unfortunately, because Sherman Oaks is independently owned, Culver City could not override their decision. At that point, it became increasingly clear that Diego simply did not want to accommodate me. Communication suddenly became difficult. Calls to the office repeatedly went straight to voicemail for days. Messages went unanswered. The number Diego originally provided me to text him through stopped working entirely. Eventually, I called from my office phone instead of my personal number -- and magically the call finally rang through and Diego answered immediately. That moment honestly confirmed what I had already suspected: it truly felt like my number had been blocked to avoid speaking with me. That is beyond unprofessional. When I finally spoke to him, he initially pretended not to know who I was before quickly changing course and stating that "they" would not approve an exception. When I politely asked who "they" referred to, he avoided giving a direct answer. I asked for justification as to why a customer recovering from an accident could not simply finish sessions that were already paid for, especially when another Zoom Room location agreed the request was reasonable. His response was essentially: "Then go there instead." I have been nothing but polite throughout this entire process. I have supported this business from day one. Every class visit included additional purchases for my dog. Yet the moment I needed basic understanding and compassion, I was treated like an inconvenience. Eventually Diego admitted that he had made previous exceptions for me related to cancellations that were also outside my control. Somehow, instead of those accommodations demonstrating reasonable customer service, he used them as justification for why he would no longer help me. That mentality says everything. A good manager understands that life happens. Accidents happen. Medical emergencies happen. Especially in a business centered around pets, people, and community, you would hope kindness and empathy would matter more than rigid policies selectively enforced after payment has already been collected. This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Zoom Room Sherman Oaks. Again, the trainers are fantastic -- but management can absolutely ruin an otherwise great business. He told me that I could speak with Jillian (which I imagine is another manager), but he ended with, "but she won't be approving you either." I would genuinely appreciate the opportunity to speak directly with the owner of this location because this experience was handled terribly from start to finish. Until then, I would strongly encourage potential customers to think carefully before investing large amounts of money here. Based on my experience, the customer care disappears the moment flexibility, compassion, or accountability are needed.

I want the best for my puppies, so I asked so many different people where and how they trained their dogs. I received a few suggestions, but decided to do my own search...and I'm glad I did. Leo (Owner) and his amazing team of trainers TRULY care about the pups they train. Leo came to my home and wanted to meet me and my pups before I had to decide on making any decisions. After sitting down with him for about half an hour, I knew I found what I was looking for: Someone who wants me to have healthy and happy dogs. I signed up for the in-home training at first which is Leo coming to the house and training me on how to train my puppies (Archie and Charlie just turned 6 months and started with Leo and his team when they were 4.5). Very quickly, I realized I could not handle training both these puppies the way they needed to be trained. I discussed with Leo and decided to do a Board & Train. I like the schedule because I get to take the puppies on the weekends to spend time with me. Don't get me wrong, you NEED to train your pups on the weekends, but it's worth it and FUN. Archie has become the Puppy King (no offense to other puppies or their owners )). Charlie has a lot more energy, but has improved immensely! Leo's trainers are so caring. I feel my dogs get love with their training when they're not with me, and I couldn't ask for more. I see their excitement whenever I visit about improvements and milestones that Archie and Charlie achieved. They gleam with as much pride as I do. I honestly don't know where my pups OR I would be without the help of this AMAZING Team! If I could give 10 stars out of 5 stars, I would!

He received necessary procedures including blood transfusion to stabilize his condition. I did not want to leave him at ER for more tests and observations because I have never had any pets survived ER stays. We did receive blood transfusion and medications which seemed to be working and were told that he needed medical attention in order to survive. Since his regular vet was helpless, I decided to look into alternatives. I found this place on Yelp with raving reviews, and like most pet owners in desperate situations, I decided to give it a try. I first spoke with I believe her name was Lyric. She was very charming and well spoken, and made an appointment immediately. I also recieved a call from Yael after I emailed over my cat's medical records and was told that she thinks my cat simply had urinary track infection and she can help. During our visit, Yael and Lyric worked together and performed a basic exam, then I was told that we need a biofeedback scan which will tell us exactly what's going on. This " procedure " consist of sticking two wet pads somewhere on the underside of my cat, and the wires connected the wet pads to a laptop which supposedly would feed all the information to a program. I thought that seemed overly simple, but I was in a state of panic, I chose to believe it's some advanced science that I didn't understand. I was told that they will rush the result but it will be later that evening or next day. Then Yael proceeded to prescribe a list of remedies which is mostly supplements including a jar of homemade yogurt. The visit, including all the remedies I was told were necessary, came to just under $700. They also only accept cash or Zelle payments, no credit cards. The instruction I was given was to stop the medicationd from ER immediately and only take what was prescribed by Yael, and I did. At home, shortly after I gave my cat what Yael prescribed, he started vomiting violently and was visibly weaker. I call and told Yael what was happening and was met with loud, non-stop yelling, telling me that her remedies were right and I must follow her instructions. The biofeedback report showed pages of colorful breakdown and included readings of "pepsine secretion coefficient" and "small intestine peristalsis function" values, plus "protien metabolism value", "liver fat content value", plus kidney, lung function analysis, even blood circulation system analysis, etc. This program of theirs can read all these from two wet pad sticked to the skin of my cat? I ultimately decided to consult with a licensed vet, and luckily I found Dr. Sharp from a referral, and my cat's conditions improved without complications within days at a quarter of the cost. He is healthy and happy today. As pet parents, we are vulnerable to be taken advantage of when our pets become critically ill. I hope my experience can be helpful to anyone in similar situation and can make proper decisions for both your pets and you.
