Scott and Connie were kind and helpful guides. The kids loved driving the sail boat and seeing how the sails work. Highly recommend!

What I had thought would be a nice, relaxing, and peaceful sailing experience actually turned out…read moreto only fuel my fury. After making the decision to move to another state, I wanted to book something special for myself so I reached out to book a sunset sail. After exchanging a few emails, and me specifically asking about payment, I was given the following response, "Yes we can do Sunday September 4 from 6 to 8 PM. There is no need for a deposit to hold that date. You can cancel at any time without a problem. If it's raining we won't go out. You may pay on the 4th. So as you see, we are pretty relaxed in our operations. When covid started, we tossed the rules out the window and it has proven to be much less stressful for everyone." He then went on to say, "Here are the four methods of payment: Paypal, Venmo, Cash, or Check. The total for a 2 hour cruise is $328.20. Let me know how you want to pay then that's all the information I need from you. Then I will send you a confirmation email that outlines exactly when and where we meet at the marina and other details." Since he said I didn't need to pay until the 4th, I waited until the date got closer. I reached out to him to ensure they got paid so I asked if he'd send me an invoice on paypal and give me the address for the marina so I could put in my GPS. He responded and said that he booked it for someone else because he had not heard from me in 13 days. I'm not sure why I needed to respond if he clearly said I didn't need to pay until the 4th. He mentioned "13 days" as if this was his deciding factor to book someone else. I believed I already had a reservation since he told me the date was available and there was no need to put a deposit to hold the spot. Now, apparently, I'm being punished for not paying.... and he didn't even call or email to let me know someone else wanted that time slot. It just doesn't make sense. He did apologize, but he made no effort to fix this. I told him he needed to get better at communicating with his guests and he agreed. But in any event, I'm the only one who takes a loss for this. So now I'll be leaving Washington without the experience. I told a lot of people about this sail boat cruise and everyone was excited that I was doing something for myself to get a little peace before I left. Now I'll have to go back and tell all those people that I didn't get to go because the "captain" couldn't handle his calendar and apparently the rules that were thrown out, only apply to those who have paid in advance, even though he says you don't have to. Smh. If you're looking for peace, don't use this service. If you like being let down and frustrated, definitely give them a try. What a joke.

I observed that Hobbes is kept in excellent working order & equipped with the most up-to-date electronics. The upper deck and galley are sparkling clean. It was a relaxing yet exhilarating experience---I highly recommend sailing with these wonderful folks.

Don't need to worry about doing something wrong as they give very clear instructions. Everything went perfect because the hosts are so organized and thorough in their communications. We did the all day sail including a very tasty lunch about which the host consulted with me in advance. You don't need to bring a thing but your personal items as they have beverages, wraps if it gets chilly or anything you might need. Four of the six of us are 80+ and we were able to manage fine maneuvering on, off and around the boat including using the "head". Each experience depends on the tides, wind, currents, weather and other boat traffic, which makes each day unique and they explain about how these relate to the sea life you see and your itinerary. Because we had a beautiful sunny day Mt Rainier was present during much of the cruise giving us spectacular photo ops. I can't recommend Hobbes sailing highly enough....

He happily worked with us through multiple phone calls and went above and beyond to make sure every detail, including a few special requests, came together seamlessly. We will always be grateful for that. The entire experience felt effortless and thoughtfully executed. Captain Tom kept everything right on schedule with impressive precision, which allowed us to fully relax and enjoy the moment. Our mid July wedding couldn't have been more perfect, and Tom even positioned the boat for stunning views of the mountains and surrounding scenery. As if that wasn't enough, we were treated to incredible wildlife sightings, including porpoises and eagles, which truly felt like the cherry on top of an already unforgettable day. We are so grateful to Riviera Cruises for helping create such a unique and meaningful experience. We highly recommend them to anyone considering a wedding on the water. It was truly one of a kind.

His storytelling and pointing out many of the things we were passing by is just so informative. Even though my girlfriends and I live in seattle, it was just so magical. If I could give Captain Tom 10 Stars I would!

A magical, soul-soothing escape…read more I can't say enough good things about my stay at Wellspring Spa. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I'd stepped into a hidden forest sanctuary. The land itself is breathtaking--towering trees, soft mossy trails, and peaceful stillness that invites you to breathe deeper and slow down. I spent hours wandering the hiking paths and felt like I was in another world. I stayed in the Tahoma cabin, and wow--it was cozy, peaceful, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. (They must have updated them based on what I have read from previous posts!) Every detail in the space felt intentional and grounding. After a day of exploring, soaking in the outdoor hot tub with that stunning view of the trees was exactly what my body and mind needed. And the lofted sauna? Absolutely the coolest (and warmest!) little gem--such a unique and relaxing experience. What really made this place special, though, was the warmth and kindness of the staff. They were so welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely cared about creating a healing experience for guests. Also: there's a sweet dog who wanders the grounds and melts your heart--truly the cherry on top. Wellspring isn't just a place to stay--it's a place to remember. I already can't wait to come back.
