The pool was awesome, they had a fish tank that's built into a wall in the pool very cool. The outdoor spring pool was a definite awesome hot spring where the warm water clashed with the cold winter outdoors. It was a lovely relaxing long weekend, the room did show some signs of age but it wasn't anything that took away from the experience. Not worth at ALL what I paid, I feel completely ripped off. Contacting the front desk is near impossible. In room phones are useless. Called multiple times to get shower gel and shampoo refilled and it took all day. Had to skip dinner at their restaurant because my hair was too oily from an earlier treatment and I couldn't wash it out. Sounds petty except when you realize you're paying six hundred a night! Lots of little inconveniences. Main floor before rooms smelled like chlorine from pool. Breakfast feels hectic. Have to check in with hostess to be seated. If you can find her. Most key staff are overwhelmed and apathetic. Normally I don't care about pealing paint on walls or ceiling but thought I'd mention that too. Loud noises came through from floor above. Very loud mini fridge. Didn't sleep so great first night. Overpriced everything!! I felt I paid twice as much for everything during my stay. I didn't think the spa was worth it. Had to walk downstairs to resolve an issue at the salon/spa and then wait back in line for twenty minutes at front desk to check out. No available luggage racks so had to lug all my $&@# from the room to my car in the freezing cold to cap off my stay. Though I can sympathize with the gargantuan duties the front desk has to handle nonstop, the minuscule discount they gave me was appalling. I was so livid, angry and drained after such a disappointing second day. From figuring out seating in an overly crowded breakfast buffet, then a massage that was nowhere near worth the price, to being locked out of my room before checkout just as I was transporting my bags. At this point I had had enough with being surrounded by sniffling, coughing, crying kids. I'm surprised I didn't break down in tears myself after they asked how I'd be paying. I almost wish I had two thousand dollars in pennies to dump on the floor in front of them! (Regards to Barbara, Rachel and the two waiters from breakfast who gave their all and a couple others.) There WERE staff that cared. But also staff like the housekeeping manager that can &*@$-off for lying to my face. It was not worth what I paid. To the owners, I'd like to ask, what tf? If someone has the guts from your team to contact me, feel free. I'll be polite. Maybe we can hash things out. Maybe it was a series of badly timed everything? I truly wanted to like this place. I visited this beautiful New Jersey resort for a family wedding the weekend of Oct 24th and it's easy to see why it's a popular destination. The property is stunning and expansive, with amazing fall views. Our rooms were comfortable with lovely balconies, and the bathrooms were nice, though more counter space would help. As a hospitality professional, I noticed both positives and a few areas for improvement. Because the resort is so large, room locations matter, guests with mobility concerns should be placed closer to elevators. In addition, giving a couple connecting rooms with their parents is a lack of common sense. We were also given the wrong directions to the wedding, causing us to miss the ceremony, which was very disappointing. Overall, the resort is grand, well-kept, full of things to do, and staffed by friendly people. With a bit more attention to detail, it could easily become an outstanding destination. read more

We have been members here for several years and i have to say, membership keeps increasing but no improvements are really ever made. Why is the large outdoor pool always so cold as to be unusable? Instead, everyone wedges themselves into the small heated outdoor pool because it is the only one that's bearable. Even in August when it should have warmed up naturally it is still freezing. I'm surprised not to see more complaints about this because i think it's just a huge miss from this establishment. Might be time to invest in a heater! read more

We stayed here for a weekend wedding! The good: no bugs, which is always a relief, and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Also, they had plenty of activities for the kids, not including the pool! Unfortunately, the service was pretty slow -- checking in took longer than expected, and it was a bit of a wait for housekeeping. The room itself was decent but nothing special. Overall, it did the job for the occasion, but I wouldn't choose this hotel for a leisure stay. If you're just looking for a place to crash and don't mind a bit of a wait, it's fine, but not somewhere I'd recommend otherwise.. read more

Beautiful place to enjoy relaxation plus more! The drive was great. The entrance is eye catching, long open space, freindly professional receptionist waiting to accommodate you. We were a group of at least 90 ppl (staff of 3 schools) but it went smooth as butter. The rooms look nice. Snuggly looking beds. Very cabin vibes. Yes, ugh, I love when a room just hugs you with its view. Small balcony. I wish it has some ornaments and twinkle lights but it did not. Air conditioner was great, super clean bathroom, nice&spacious. Big TV , fridge - def a plus to if you want to bring in item food / snacks or bottle of wine (tho I don't drink) inside swimming pool is Woof!! A sight for sore eyes. The mountain view is truly breathtaking. There are a few amenities that were included such as archery, Axe throwing super thrilling & my 1st time ever! Thrilling!!! 2 pools -1indoor, 1 outdoor Unfortunately, I don't do pools but my colleagues all repoted that it was fantastic. The arcade room is AWESOME!!!! Pics & video included. I hope you enjoy. This spot is delicious. They have other stuff like a huge gym(rock climbing) A Yoga Area/Spa offering different massage packages. I didn't try any bc of lack of time. My experience here was AWESOME. When we arrived, it was like walking into a winter wonderland. It's so pretty and the staff is so welcoming especially Racheal. The heated pools were amazing and the activities included with your staff are more than enough. The junior balcony suite is adorable and has such an amazing view. The gym here is also amazing! They offer classes, a spacious track and a separate basketball section. Rock climbing was so much fun and the boy with curly blonde hair, I forgot his name though was very good at facilitating this activity. He made us feel safe and made our experience rock climbing enjoyable. read more

I enjoyed my two days at minerals. Full disclosure I was there for business meetings and did not pay. Parking is plentiful and free. The room was large and clean, included a patio with the view of the mountain. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The room had a coffee maker, bottled water and coffee pods. I was disappointed that the bottled water was not replaced on day 2. I had a few meals, catered dinner and breakfast. The food was above my expectations. The hotel includes a huge indoor and outdoor pool that was open in October. The gym was larger than expected. The staff were friendly and helpful. I may consider going back for a long weekend as there are several golf courses in the area. read more

I had such a gentle and pleasant experience at minerals Hotel. I've had my eye on this place for over a decade because of the housewives of New Jersey. I booked one of the massages and really enjoyed that, the grounds are quite outdated, but the experience in general was super pleasant. The staff were so sweet at the front desk. Since the moment I walked in and very accommodating. The map of the grounds is super helpful. I really love that. Love this place!! My membership allows me gym and classes and access to pools all year. Sometimes too crowded with families. But overall great experience. Would benefit from having the outside pool area power washed so that in the summer when people are in the pool area walking barefoot your not getting your soles dirty and they going into the pool. From the moment you walk in and go to the front desk to check in the service is spot on I was there last year and when I went back this year, the girl, Kristine at the front desk, actually remembered me. She was at the front desk with Bryce and they make check in a pleasant experience. They will explain everything to you and answer all your questions Moving onto the room, they are spacious and very clean. As far as the activities, you can be busy from morning to night. There is something always going on And if you just want to relax in the pool, you have indoor and outdoor pools. There are so many special things at Minerals Hotel in Crystal Springs. One of my favorite experiences was Yoga with the Goats. Definitely a wonderful family experience. I definitely would recommend going there read more

We recently were displaced due to a house fire and had the pleasure of staying at minerals for 2 weeks while we couldn't stay in our home. The staff was so amazing and treated us like family that I I would like to mention them by name and all that they did for us. At the front desk there was Blake, Christian, Mia, Selena, Jacob, Raymond and each one of these people and I'm sure there's other names I'm missing took care of us and helped us with everything we need it the entire say we were there. And I apologize for the people whose names I didn't get, but the people that said above treated us like family and went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to helping us out. It was an awful time for us and they made it wonderful thank you for that. Then the dining staff who were amazing Jamie the omelet guy, Lucy Beth and Rose all were fantastic why we were eating and they were taking care of us. I can go for hours and hours talking about how wonderful these people are, they made our life just wonderful when we had to go eat. No unfortunately I didn't get the names of the people that were working as lifeguards and working down at the pool where they that us towels (the woman with the white/blonde hair and the younger men that work down there, I'm so sorry for not getting your names but you all were wonderful) and down by the arcade and I apologize for not getting their name but they should be recognized as well. They were constantly doing us favors, taking care of us and overall treating us as if we were family why we stayed there. Overall just wonderful people. Then the bartenders Jason Alex and Kristen were amazing as well and they should be recognized. The stuff that was working at the little restaurant outside by the bar I didn't get their name either but they were fantastic as well. Overall it was just really refreshing to be in an awful situation and everybody was fighting us we were constantly losing our rooms due to the insurance company they weren't paying on time, and still they're Staffing minerals did everything in their power to take care of us and make our lives easier. And for that I cannot thank them enough Just a quick update Mike, I went back to minerals and got the some of the other names of the amazing employees that you should mention aswell - Cheryl, Conner, Zoey, Maya and Amanda all were extremely kind and helpful during our stay. My company had an offsite here October 15th-17th, 2024 and our pre-negotiated check-in time was 3 pm. When I attempted to check in at 3 pm, the desk clerk couldn't be bothered to deal with me in a one-off fashion, instead saying that they would bring all the keys for the company to the adjacent large ballroom when they were ready. Once the keys were delivered, I discovered that I did not have a room. When I went to the front desk at circa 3:20 pm on the 15th and raised a concern, they told me that my room was not ready yet. When I expressed my dismay at the situation, the desk clerks (male and female) said almost in unison, arrogantly, that check in wasn't until 4 pm after watching my entire company go to their rooms at circa 3 pm. Once I finally got a room, they put me in about the farthest away spot they could (room 328) and let me tell you this place is a maze like no other. Upon trying to turn on the TV, I found that it took several minutes for the TV to connect to the video on demand server (or whatever). When I called the front desk to inquire, the desk clerk said something to the effect of "yes, it can take 2-10 minutes to come on and don't press any buttons in the meantime." Well, guess what I did? I'd pressed a bunch of buttons and inadvertently ordered "Twisters," which I think ultimately was removed from my bill (or never showed up). Much like the layout of the property itself, the wi-fi is a maze, too. The ballroom has one SSID to connect to, while in the guest rooms you have another one. I work in cloud computing / computers and it literally took me 5-15 minutes to connect to wifi upon changing location. Lastly, everything closes early there (pool, fitness center, game room, restaurants, bars) with what I surmise to be near, if not a full house. I literally would not return to this place if you paid me and I was paid the last time I was there. read more

What an amazing time my wife and I had. We met some amazing people that truly help make our stay warm and easy. When we first came, we were greeted by Rachel who walked us through the entire property. We didn't know they had so many activities. My wife and I decided to book a massage. We were greeted by Michelle who spoke to us about the spa, showed us around and made it really easy for us. Upon leaving, sue and Blake made our check out really easy. Minerals hotel is nice but not nice enough to warrant well over $600 a night after taxes and fees. We booked a Junior Suite with a balcony which was the most expensive and best category room they had available online. We ended up getting put in a lower category room that would have cost us less money to book. Our room was on the ground floor so we had to keep our blinds shut because people kept walking by and looking in. This is specifically why I had called and requested a high floor. We received only two cups and three towels for 4 people. I spoke to housekeeping to try to get a towel so my son could take a shower but all they had was a small hand towel. For $600+ a night I should not have to spend my time trying to hunt down a towel. I felt like I was bothering them by trying to get things resolved. We visited in December 2021. We are going back to Mountain Creek to ski again in February 2022 and we booked The Appalachian at Mountain Creek instead, for 1/3 less the cost of Minerals. read more

Very nice property! Pluses were that you can check in as early as 12pm to use facilities and stay on property until 5pm on the day of checkout. The pool area is nice but the lounge chairs at the outside pool were dirty and some were broken. Considering the cost of this place, I was surprised. The pool staff was great and I had amazing service from the 2 waitresses from the pool bar! I was able to check into my room early but the Front Desk rep gave me the wrong directions to my room. After wandering around with my luggage, a very nice hotel employee guided me in the right direction. The Minerals Sports Club/ Gym is gorgeous! I got room service for dinner and had a delicious burger & milkshake. I went to the Minerals Spa and had a great service. However, there was no foot massage in my service as was described on the website. I didn't realize until after. Breakfast was disappointing despite the $40 credit. My omelet was not made properly and looked inedible. At the table next to me was the leftover food from the customers before. I was at breakfast for 30 min. Who knows how long it had been sitting there. I would probably come back for a one day visit to use the spa and facilities but staying overnight is a waste of money. read more

My friend is a member and gave my husband (who has an accent and is not American) a guest pass for the day so he could take our toddler to the pool. They would not let him in with the guest pass and said my friend had to be with him. However, my friend recently gave her other friend (who happens to be a white woman) a guest pass and the woman was allowed in with no issues. My husband ended up buying a 6 month membership just to use the premises for a day. Horrible customer service and policies. It's also very dirty and they don't even give towels to members. This is the very first hotel I've ever stayed in that charges a 3% credit card convenience fee. This hurts on a room that costs $300 per night plus many taxes.. Everything else about our stay was great, the hot tubs & pools were fun, the room was clean, the staff was extra nice. I'm sure it's difficult to keep up with the high volume of guests, but the place is shabby around the edges. I can ignore slow elevators and WiFi, but that little smack in the face at checkout really left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

The hotel grounds are pretty and the rooms are nice however there are two major problems with this hotel 1. It is way over priced for the level or service and quality they provide. From the room to the food at the restaurant everything is about double the price it should be. There is no justification for this. It's in Vernon NJ not NYC or Hawaii. Totally overpriced everywhere. 2 the grounds are full of local people not staying at the hotel. The place allows anyone to just pay to come to the pool for the day. So the pool is always packed full of families that don't make for a relaxing stay. It's annoying when you pay $600 for a room only to have the hotel full of random knuckleheads who are really annoying. Notgood enough. Won't return here ever. read more

Hmmm comparable to an old school visit to the Poconos - close to being on the brink of "run down" in style and just plain brick and mortar for pool. At first glimpse it looks great but upon closer inspection - the indoor pool roof has cobwebs and wood support beams have mildew or mold of some sort. But if you can get past that - the pool itself is great both indoors and outdoor. The jets on the jacuzzis are strong but disappointing as they sit awkwardly low and don't hit your back as you would want. A lot of the interesting activities are extra $$ and spa is very pricey (they also charge a 10% service charge on top of price). Golf is free but if you go during winter - it's closed. The food choices are limited in terms of venue options - the Farmstead was closed so the only other restaurant was the Kites. Then you have the Frostys cantina for some snacks and drinks (I recommend the clam chowder soup!) and they have live music playing on weekends. And the Zinc cafe which offers to go options (I recommend the gelato, hot cocoa chocolate dips). Drinks were all mediocre and best option are the canned items or wine. I do not recommend cocktails at all. But the customer service was great in every location. read more

Oh my the reviews are very low here. And there is a lot of BAD at this place, even though paying $450 a night! What is up with the 3.5% fee for credit card use after checking out? This place is more equivalent to a 3 star quality hotel. Okay- first off I was a moron to book this place during a school break. You see that picture of the indoor pool all quiet and serene looking? Well picture a hundred people in there.. more walking or sitting around the pool, the worst smell of chlorine you'll get in your life and that was the reality of our stay. We stayed far away from the pool and crowded hot tubs. Thought I could go at an off time to steam or sauna-- Open the door and they were packed in there like sardines! The gym also was busy all times of day but I managed to get a great elliptical. Did a yoga meditation class that wasn't too crowded and gave me an hour of zen from this crazy place. We couldn't play basketball, because it's only indoors and the court was constantly booked. This resort needs more outdoor space for kids. The lobby was not appealing at all and filled with families eating their fast food meals. The line for the buffet? Forget about it. We got food at the cafe and the muffins were artificial tasting, the coffee quality terrible and the hot chocolate and chai - overly sweet/just bad. The gelato should not be served there. It is artificial tasting, old tasting and just awful. The mattress is like you are sleeping on top of the mountain- it is that hard. WHY such rock hard mattresses? If you are unable to walk for, ask for a close by room. I got lost trying to find our room the entire time. It was a long walk. The staircase is creepy, but took that because the elevator took forever. Sounds pretty bad, right? So why am I giving it 3 stars? Because the room was nice. We had a couple issues with it and the front desk sent up to fix the issues right away. Sitting in the winter sunshine on the balcony overlooking the mountains was lovely. You can go over to their other resort down the road it is is nicer/more peaceful there. (just can't use their pool). The marshmallow roasting and new game room - my child loved. Along with the bingo night with Kathy- she was a blast! And the awesome animal guy who put on the animal show. if you're not a germ phobe and don't hate crowds, the outdoor steam pool I am sure you'd enjoy. It looked great and I didn't get overcome by smell of chlorine. I just can't jump into something with so many ppl close together. There are good things here but one night was more than enough for me. There's several things to do here but definitely management can use some improvements here. I visited the place for three days with some friends and there are activities to do such as the pool, spa, gym, goat yoga, wine cellar tour and tasting, magic show with buffet dinner and more. Pros: the hot outdoor pool is awesome and I didn't feel cold at all considering my visit was in March, there's an indoor basketball court, goat yoga was so awesome (love the stretching exercise and petting all the goats even through one shitted on me, and yes, it shitted on my t-shirt hahaha....good thing their poop is like raisins so it rolls to the ground), wine tour was pretty cool in the basement, magic show was entertaining. Cons: Not enough labels for guest to know where things are at the resort. My friends and I walked in circles around the resort along with 10 other strangers looking for the goat yoga. I don't understand why they don't have signs to tell people where it is located or have people gather that the front desk and be escorted to the place. Food is not good, so save yourself and go elsewhere to eat. I happened to enjoy the magic show, but buffet dinner options were lacking. The gym on the main floor has a really disgusting funky smell. Someone needs to turn on the ventilation and/or people need to shower, yuck! read more

I stayed here for a spa weekend and was surprised by the low standards of the faculties for the price of the stay. The hotel itself is fairly clean, had several pool areas, a full gym, and lots of activities. the issue is the amount of people that make all of these things a problem. The pool is so packed with kids you can't sit. The activities are all booked by families with kids so you can't find spots for a few adults. The gym was basically a playground. The facilities are quite outdated. The rooms are nothing special, ours overlooked a dirt field and **had no AC** one of the nights. The pool area was nice but became very rowdy with a mix of intoxicated adults and a LOT of kids. ***if you are looking for a calming spa weekend this is not for you*** please be aware of the amount of children at this hotel; there were times i felt like i was at the great wolf lodge. If you don't mind getting tripped by and splashed by kids constantly this resort is for you. Also something to note is that the entire bar area was also full of small children which seemed inappropriate and i do wish it was strictly for adults. The pool bar was truthfully disgusting and blasphemous from someone who enjoys a decent cocktail but does the job if you're looking for a $9 can of bud light. I ordered a mojito and they pulled out a plastic container full of wilted mint and water that had been sitting out in the sun and added a splash of the *liquid* into the drink because "it's easier for the bartenders"??? i'm not sure how making a bacteria filled "tea" of mint and tap water is easier than adding a sprig of fresh mint to the drink??? This made me want to vomit and was the last time i went to the bar. The service here was nothing great, I asked the concierge for a bottle of water and they told me there was none and then pointed me to a water fountain that did not work and there were also no ice machines that functioned either. Truthfully there were an innumerable amount of flaws during our stay and for the price this place is absolutely not worth it but our amazing experience at the elements spa made it all worth it. Went to the Kites restaurant on Friday night and had the best service I've ever had. The bartender James was amazing! He was extremely busy but managed to keep checking on us regularly. We were a large group and the drinks he made us were delicious! He didn't write anything down but managed to get every single order exactly right. It was highly impressive! I am not one to bash a business but when you have a website that misleads customers, I need to make others aware, especially at the overpriced nightly stay. First, the pretty pictures you see on the site are for Grand Cascades, só if you book at Mineral Springs don't expect to get what you saw online. Pools were dirty and shortest pool was 4ft , so not kid friendly also there's no slide. The splash pad was not fully functioning. The plywood ping pong table looks like someone put it together in their garage. It was unfinished and ready for a person to get a splinter. Then the room didn't have a refrigerator unless I requested one prior to my stay. Lastly you check in at 4pm, pool closes at 8pm and you need to be out by the fooling morning at 11am. Visited over president's week for my daughter's 17th birthday with 2 of her best friends. Yes, there were a lot of small children but we knew there would be. They really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs. The outdoor portion of the pool was fun and great for pictures with the rising steam, surrounded by snow. Everything seemed very clean. My only complaints are the limited on site restaurant menu and the mattress was possibly the hardest mattress I ever experienced. Even the 17 year old girls tossed and turned all night. Otherwise, a fun little stay-cation. Edit: upon check out, when asked by the front desk clerk how our stay was I said very nice except for the hard beds. She actually apologized and credited our account, which went towards our breakfast. It was a very nice gesture and appreciated. read more

This is a great place to head to as a quick getaway. My family and I visit from NYC each year. There is year round fun to be had both on the resort and locally. Great amenities and honestly the best part of each stay are the activities and excursions we book. Archery with Tom was a great experience and we loved fishing at the quarry! read more

Nice nature location. Hotel with high potential and weak management. Not giving you money for the money, not paying attention to details and service but charging as a very high end spa hotel. While I understand Covid19 is impacting service and ability I wasn't happy to see the hotel taking advantage of that. The property is nice, pools are nice and with "little touch" could have been much better. read more

We had an appointment for the spa and were able to use the pool also, the spa treatments were great , but the resort premises are very run down and old, the pool area is in desperate need of a updating. not luxurious at all, and in areas looked dirty. read more

Very old, dated, musty, and in need of major renovation. Their marketing campaign got me. DO NOT BELEIVE THE PICTURES ONLINE! Went for two nights to celebrate my sons birthday. There was mold/mildew in the shower, areas of rust in the bathroom, caked on dust on the mirror, the knob in the shower was broken, the ceiling fan light was broken and crooked. Not to mention all the marks all over the walls and fixtures like someone tried to paint over things. They should be absolutely embarrassed to charge what they do for these rooms. The lobby "cafe" is only open until 2pm during the week (which they charge $7 for a bottle of water, and $12 for a can of vodka spritzer, we also spent $12 on a can of beer that expired in November), the pool bar was closed, the only dining option was Kites restaurant which is about on par with your neighborhood Applebee's. We ate breakfast there two days and were one of three tables full each time. And even still the wait time after ordering was excessive. While waiting for our drinks we saw our waiter scrolling on his phone at the bar. The food is inconsistent. I ordered the same thing both days and received different food each time. One night we went to order room service and it took 30 minutes to have someone answer the phone to take our order. I called the front desk and was told there was nothing he could do. The "amenities" are non-existent. You pay a resort fee to use a pool that is very obviously not cleaned regularly. The ONLY saving grace was the basketball court that my son was able to use. This is not a resort, this is a Motel 6 with what could be a nice pool if they maintained it. I got a survey afterwards which I shared my thoughts on, they reached out and apologized and asked that I try their other property. The one that is even more expensive and I doubt is any better. No thanks, I already feel sick about spending what I did here. read more
