Excellent! We had a lovely stay at Residence Inn Middletown Goshen. Plenty of parking is available. Upon entering, the lobby is incredibly clean and spacious. Checking in was simple and straightforward. Employees are friendly, hard working, professional, helpful, and kind. Our room was wonderful. There was a kitchen, large table, big bathroom, comfy beds, a couch that turns into a bed, 2 large TV's, study table, etc. It was perfect! They did a great job keeping our room clean. Beds are comfortable and we all got plenty of rest. When we needed extra towels, blankets, and toilet paper, employees did an excellent job providing that for us. Some property amenities include: The Residence Bar, Fitness Center, Indoor Swimming Pool, Dry Cleaning Service, Free Hot Breakfast, Convenience Store, Free Wifi, and a Laundry Room. Checking out was also simple and straightforward. This is a wonderful hotel, that is not too far from The LEGOLAND New York Theme Park. I'm so glad we got chance to visit. Prices are reasonable and we had a great experience staying here. Highly recommend! read more

Pleasant stay at the Residence Inn. We booked this location due to their proximity to Legoland, heated indoor pool and breakfasts included with our stay. The staff at check in was very friendly and thorough explaining we're everything was located in the hotel. The king size room was great for a family of three. There is a grocery store across the street and we were able to pick up a few items and store in the kitchen in the room. For dinner we enjoyed Cosimo's down the street; great selection! read more

Amazing view. It's a little high on the hill so you get to see the mountains. The rooms are huge. I got a a whole kitchenette even has a dishwasher. You have a living room section a desk session. Vanity make up section with mirror separate from the bathroom so when I'm taking a dump, someone can get their make up ready. The air-conditioning unit is right there in a room and it works really good. I'm sure it's the heating unit too because we're here. It's summer two big windows for your view. Nice comfortable sheets bed and pillows is a bar downstairs in the lobby and a snack section and you get free breakfast, but we didn't make the breakfast. We never make the breakfast. I should ask for a discount because we never make it, it ends too early read more

We stayed here for a wedding and couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. The staff were lovely and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Continental breakfast was included and was really good, even had a waffle maker with all the fixings. Would highly recommend this hotel. read more

Five stars! I tell you - thought the property had just opened. Walked into the lobby upon arrival and you're instantly met with "new hotel" smell. Made my way over to the desk to check-in and both employees were very pleasant and kind. Elevators were clean and hallways/stairwells were extremely clean as well. No sign of any dirt or debris. The room presented well and was pristine. No dust, no furnishings showed signs of wear and tear. Bathroom was very clean as well. Breakfast is complimentary and stocked well. Waffle station, bagels, croissants, grits, cereal, hot breakfast items. When in the lobby because of how impressed I was with the property, I asked one employee when the property opened and was told 2020. Wow... exceptional for being open for 2 year. This location was sold out during my stay, so it is popular. Also located just off a main highway and near Legoland so I'd think patrons frequent often. The only downside was price, but because of (I'm guessing) Legoland, this has driven prices up. However, I have stayed at both Marriott locations in the general area and highly recommend this property. read more

I'm right at three stars for now and I'll be happy to update this once (if) I stay here again, if that's in the cards of course. so, despite some issues with check in, I liked the property pretty much. The lobby smells like waffles, so that's a plus, well, unless you have some internal Belgian resentment , too much for you? the room was nice, it's brand new so there you go! Layout of the hotel is not favorable however, very labyrinth for its actual footprint, so fyi. Also, they have the half shower door thing here too, so watch your footing in the bathroom, water everywhere. breakfest, besides forementioned waffles, was not too bountiful, but hey, you love hotel breakfast, this is right up your alley. the hotel is in the middle of Middletown, well, the more commercial and less stabby part of mitown. I know they don't call it that, but I am now, so deal. something something OC read more

Our kids called this hotel "fancy" and enthusiastically endorsed another stay -- and we can see why. Thanks to this Residence Inn, they are now in love with "hotel breakfast," which in this case was quite a surprisingly generous spread: scrambled or hard boiled eggs, turkey or pork sausage, tots, waffles, oatmeal, well-made fruit salad, yogurt, etc.... The grownups' take: The room layout is smart, the decor modern and attractive. We had a one bedroom suite, which was in fact a suite with multiple rooms, unlike so-called one-room "suites" at many other chain hotels. Our one bedroom included two queen beds and a closable door between it and a living room area with a couch, desk and TV. The living room adjoined a separate kitchen with a table and settings for four, oven + range, fridge, and even a tiny dishwasher. All the basics were there for cooking: a cutting board, decent knives, pots and pans, can opener, corkscrew, plastic cookware. (Bring your own metal spatulas and ladles if you don't love your plastic carcinogens, and your own salt, spices, and cooking oil if you want to get chefy away from home.) The hotel is right across the road from a fairly well stocked Hannaford's supermarket. There's an indoor pool, a small gym with treadmills, ellipticals and weights. Receptionists, breakfast attendants, and cleaning crew were all wonderful and warm during our stay. Beds and pillows were very comfortable for us. Oh, best thing of all: The hotel is pet friendly. We loved communing with the sweet pups we met -- and their well-trained humans. This is in tourist-central, in the same complex as a Super 8, La Quinta and a few other large chain hotels, a number of strip malls with fast food chains, liquor stores, etc... Although it's not in a particularly picturesque locale, this Residence Inn is just a hop and a skip away from Legoland NY, the outlets at Woodbury Commons, the racetrack in Goshen, and enough other attractions that the hotel will surely thrive. read more

I've been to many Residence Inns, Courtyards By Marriott, Holiday Inn Expresses in my life. Ultimately all of them are similar, but I've found what makes the difference isn't the brand, it's the independent managers and employees running it. The star of this Residence Inn was the wonderful lady who managed the breakfast areas and helped guests during breakfast. She had a wonderful personality that brightened up the room. For guests who didn't need or want help she let them be, but for others she provided amazing service--offering to make waffles, pour drinks, and otherwise help make sure the guests were well taken care of. I contrast that to other hotels (including others in the Marriott family) that just dump guests into the free breakfast. Even though we were late and arrived just before breakfast closed, the area was pristine and well stocked. Breakfast was excellent as well--a nice combination of freshly cooked foods like eggs, egg whites, sausages, and oatmeal, some pre-heated pre-packaged food like breakfast sandwiches and muffins, and of course the waffle machines where you can make a giant waffle or mini waffles. The seating area and lobby are all brand new and kept very clean. The rooms are also really clean and even as someone who stayed one night I appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. The hotel is a nice "hidden secret" for those who want to visit Legoland. Yes, the Legoland hotel is a nice experience with its disco elevators, in-room treasure hunts, and on-demand Lego movies, But one night at the Residence Inn and you can get a room that's a short drive to Legoland, and use the money you spend to buy a $400 Lego set to keep. (As usual, the only criticism I have is for the guests. If you spill food on the stairs, call someone and let them know, If you go to the pool, please shower first. You can help keep this hotel great by showing a little consideration yourselves) I hope the management of the hotel can keep up the good work. I look forward to staying here again. read more

We stayed here for a couple of nights as our kid was in a summer camp not far away. All we wanted was a clean comfortable place to stay, because we'd done a lot of driving. The whole place was super clean, the property is newer which is nice. They've got breakfast on site which is fine but there's a full grocery store across the street, Starbucks is a 5 min walk, and a Target and a mall within a 1 mile drive. We had one issue that was resolved immediately - our toilet wouldn't flush, and the polite and helpful front desk manager, David, found us another room right away - told me there was no rush to move, and even met me at the elevator to hand off the new room's keys. Everyone working there was great. If we come back next summer, we'll book here again and tell all the other camp parents to do the same. read more

One star rating because none of the positive aspects about this newer hotel outweigh the one huge negative...total lack of soundproofing between the rooms. Actually unbelievable that this hotel was built with what seems like zero planning for soundproofing. We could clearly hear conversations (as in the exact words, not muffled mumblings) coming from the rooms on either side of ours...not yelling or out of control partying, just normal level conversations. The occupants of one room were constantly watching action movies. Needless to say the gross lack of quality construction led to 2 terrible nights of sleep. We would never stay here again. read more

I've been luck enough to be able to stay here, from the minute I called & spoke with Lisa I felt like I'd be checking into a home not a hotel. My dog & I were welcome with open arms. Lisa & her team do a fantastic job of making this a home away from home. My dog quickly became the mascot and we love walking around spreading joy. I work during the day so most of my interaction is with David. I've witnessed him bend over backwards to help everyone who walks in the door or calls on the phone. The breakfast & bar staff are second to none. I am here because I am finishing a construction job in the area it's alway melancholy you are proud of the work but, sad to go. I know when I check out of here I'll feel the same way. Kudos to all of you for being as great as you are!! read more

We just concluded our first trip since before the pandemic, from the Midwest to the New York area for a funeral. This was literally the first time we stayed in hotels in almost 2 years. The Residence Inn Middletown Goshen, conveniently located near I-84 in Orange County, New York, gave us an exceptionally positive experience. Our suite was immaculately clean and very quiet, and the mattress was excellent--my wife and I agreed that it was the best night's sleep we had had in a long long time. This hotel is only a year old and was clearly designed and built with pandemic safety considerations in mind. It is very intelligently laid out, and although well-booked, it was not difficult at all to maintain social distancing. The complimentary breakfast was very well-stocked, with a variety of tasty offerings and a very attentive and friendly staff. Speaking of staff, we would like to especially commend two ladies at reception--Jennifer and Deidre. Both were extremely courteous, professional, and helpful in providing information on the area and in answering our other questions. We highly, highly recommend this hotel. read more
