Stayed for one night for a wedding in the area- much more affordable option than staying at the nearby Crystal Springs resort. Very cozy, owner super friendly and the breakfast was delicious- take note if staying for a wedding, breakfast is early and time is non-negotiable. We had an 8am breakfast after getting back from the wedding after 2am. Needless to say i was tired and hungover but the spread was worth waking up for. read more

Stayed at Alpine Haus 6/18-6/19 after a day at the nearby Black bear golf Course. At Check in ,Anil met me at the front door but you sense his enthusiasm and courtesy as soon as you turn in the driveway. The house is beautiful and well preserved and the grounds are well tended and welcoming. The price was well below that of the nearby hotels . Anil's experience in the hospitality business is evident in every aspect of this B and B. The Bed was so comfortable that i overslept and had to skip the breakfast. Anil hurriedly prepared a great cup of coffee and i regrettably had to leave. I will return soon and strongly recommend this place over the expensive alternatives in the area. Had an excellent stay at Alpine. Might be one of the best B&Bs I've ever been to and Ive stayed my fair share in many. Alpine is a quaint, charming B&B located near mountain creek water park and town of warwick. The location is e cellent to get to different activities in the area. If you prefer personalized attn, a slamming bfst and smaller, unique places to stay and experience, I highly recommend this place. Anil, the owner is very hospitable and cooks the gourmet breakfasts in the mornings. Forget just eggs and bacon, he gives you a good home cooked culinary meal. During my stay I had French toast the 1st day and a special Italian eggs dish he created on his own on our last day, it was to die for. The Alpine Haus is located on the main road, route 94 in Vernon. It's in the heart of all that happens in this area: skiing, hiking, golfing, autumn colors, and the like. The hosts, Jack and Allison, were very nice and hospitable. Stayed in the detached cottage in the Buttercup room. It's very spacious complete with huge bath with jacuzzi and all the needed bathroom amenities, gas fireplace, coffee maker, small fridge, 2 wine glasses with cork screw, microwave oven, flat screen TV, DVD player, couch and reading area. The room was so comfortable I ordered food to be delivered to the room from the local pizza place at very minimal additional charge. The morning breakfast was a fantastic peaches and cream French toast with sausage patties and GREAT java. The main road noise was not an issue for me and was not audible in the room. Which is what really counts. The prices are very reasonable compared to Crystal Springs up the road. About half the price, but no pool. I highly recommend The Alpine Haus for a lovely getaway. And get the Buttercup room, if its available. GO THERE!!! read more

My brother and I were planning a trip to the New Jersey Food and Wine Festival at Mountain Creek. Based on our previous experiences with similar events, we knew that the evening would be full of culinary and beverage delights, so it would be best to reserve a room so that we could spend the night locally. After looking into a few dingy motels, we decided to pursue a bed and breakfast. Though these spaces are often romantic, they can also be very affordable and offer fabulous home-cooked meals. We luckily came across the well-regarded Alpine Haus, which was in an ideal location and even had a space with two beds. We reserved the room as soon as possible. We arrived at the quaint inn on that fun-filled Saturday morning and were greeted with an ample parking lot and safely looked front door. We rang the doorbell and were greeted by the friendly owners. We were given the details of the morning's breakfast and were shown to the decently-sized Primrose Room, which was located on the lower floor. The room contained two twin beds and a small sink with a vanity, as well as a separate private wash room with a toilet and stall shower. The TV was outdated, but did provide digital cable and HBO. A wall air conditioner was available, though we did not need it. The room was completely spotless; the shower had substantial amounts of hot water; and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were able to easily let ourselves in and out of the facility via a key and numerical code. This came in handy upon our late return after the festival. In the morning, we headed upstairs for our allotted early breakfast time (there are two seatings, and the later one books up fast) and grabbed a spacious table next to a young couple. We noticed that a large selection of teas, juices, and coffee were available in addition to the meal that was served to us table side. Our first course was a half of a baked peach that was topped with vanilla yogurt and homemade granola. The nutritious starter was followed by the best French toast I have ever had. The thickly sliced bread was served "upside-down" with a crispy top layer and a pond of fresh maple syrup beneath it. Our dessert of blueberry coffee cake was a continuation of this high-carbohydrate feast. Though it lacked the desired crumb topping, it was extremely moist and fresh. In addition to the morning yumminess, chocolate chip cookies and coffee were available throughout the day in the relaxing library. I should note that these cookies were a bit hard and likely made from refrigerated dough. Plus the den's display of local attraction pamphlets were largely outdated by several years. I supposed you could say that it was the thought that counted... Regardless, I feel like it could be difficult to find a flawless bed and breakfast. The Alpine Haus did deliver the comfort and sincere care that we were looking for. I had the pleasure of staying at the Alpine Bed and Breakfast in October and I must say; it was delightful. Walking in I felt at home, as the owner welcomed my boyfriend and I with open arms; as if we were his relatives. Checking in was a breeze and the owner took us on a tour of the grounds before taking us to our rooms. I slept like new born. Stayed at this BnB about two weeks ago, and had a GREAT Experience. The owner Anil was very helpful, I called for info and he even took my booking over the phone. Also, had a change of plans, and he was very accommodating, even picked up is phone while on vacation to help me re-book at no extra charge. We arrived at check-in and he came down, greeted us a talked a little, took us to the room, and gave a quick tour. We chatted for a bit, very nice friendly guy, even give us a restaurant recommendation. Next morning, we had breakfast, which was really good, and on-time and hot, felt like a five star restaurant, but with a warm and cozy friendly feel. In the realm of Bed and Breakfasts, this place definitely hits the mark. My friend and I were planning a girls' weekend to participate in the Romp To Stomp Snowshoe Walk for breast cancer awareness and were not enthused about the lodging prices at Mountain Creek Resort. The Alpine Haus was perfect...and even offered a room with two cushy twin beds and a private bath. The owners have been doing this for 10 years so they have it down to an art. They were accommodating in every respect, including jumping my friend's car when we left the inside light on and the battery went dead. The breakfast was amazing and I LOVED the Upside Down French Toast. The house is very cozy and decorated beautifully...and is located just a hop and a skip from the entrance to the North entrance to Mountain Creek. I'm sorry I can't give it a better rating. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, but that's it. The furniture was old and stained, (not antique old, just old), and no one took care of the property. The outdoor furniture was dirty and the shrubs were overgrown. But the worst part about this place was the breakfast. We were served foul tasting bacon one morning and stale banana or nut bread the next morning, it was toasted to mask the staleness. We spent $345.00 a night, that's almost $700.00 and it was not worth it. It was a disappointment. read more

My husband and I had just gotten married and wanted a little weekend getaway as our pre honeymoon. We came across this bed and breakfast and it was the best thing that could of happened to us. The owner of the place, Anil, was one of the best hosts that we have ever come across. He accommodated us in every way and not only was his service amazing but just his company alone made our stay here much more worth it. The rooms and common areas were very clean and comfortable and Anil made it feel like home. I booked this cute little B&B as a romantic overnight getaway for my fiance Laura and I. It was our first time ever at a bed and breakfast so I was a little nervous about it, but I'm so happy we stayed! Our suite was everything we hoped for a peaceful night together. The owner Anil is such a sweet man who you can tell us so proud of his little establishment. He really made us feel special and my fiance and I will definitely be regulars when we need a night away. Anil, the owner of this establishment, treats you like family. We checked in following a severe ice storm, resulting in the town losing power. Anil spent hours on the phone with local utility companies, went out to purchase additional supplies and emergency lights for guests and planned accordingly. Fortunately the power was restored shortly after sundown. The room is perfect, beds are amazing and overall it was a wonderful experience. This was the first B&B I had ever stayed in, so I really didn't know what to expect last June when my boyfriend and I booked a room here for a wedding up at Warwick Valley Winery. I had a great time and LOVED our stay in this cozy house. The breakfasts were fantastic, the room was very comfortable and the owners were hospitable, friendly and made me feel very welcome. They know the area very well, which is essential to running a B&B. We were looking to hike the portion of the Apalachian Trail that runs through the area and they drew up a map for us so we could get right to the parking area at the entrance. I was very disapointed with my experience with this hotel. I had planned on staying there for a a weekend to attend a wedding in the area, but unfortunately was injured in a bike accident the week before and was not able to go. Despite calling to cancel my reservation from the hospital, they still charged me a full nights stay (over $250.00). I found this approach very rude and showed a real lack of understanding of their customers needs. I was literally in the hospital with injuries and I made every effort to cancel as soon as the incident occurred. I would never stay with a business that showed such a lack of customer service and kindness. read more

We were served a slice of cantaloupe with a dollop of yogurt and sprinkled with granola surrounded by fresh strawberries and pineapple. Up next was a freshly baked blueberry muffin which was awesome. This was a really beautiful B&B that went out of their way to provide excellent service to us. My partner is vegetarian with an allergy to dairy. Jack and Allison went out of their way to get almond milk so she can have it with her coffee and also used it to make French toast for breakfast. We also had a really wonderful frittata for breakfast. The room was small but comfortable. The shower had great water pressure and was nice and hot. There was a wonderful porch on all three levels of the building. There was a coffee maker in the living room in the ground floor along with cookies! It's also in a great location. Easy to find and conveniently located near Mountain Creek if you're there for skiing or the waterpark. My one real criticism is that the wi-fi up at the top level wasn't very fast. Also, I wish there had been a bathtub in our room (Alpine Jasmine) but we knew that going in. All in all, a great stay with stellar service! I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Booked Alpine Haus for my boyfriend and I for NYE as it's right next to Mountain Creek ski resort. I can't say enough great things! We immediately felt welcome & at home. The whole house is cozy and warm (perfect after spending a 5 degree day on the slopes) and the owner is incredibly kind and hospitable. We stayed in the Coral Bells room downstairs and it was simple, but all we needed. Showers were hot and the bed/bedding was so comfortable. We had brought back some take out food for dinner, which we forgot to get plates/silverware/drinkware for. We asked Anil (the owner) if he had any plastic or paper cups we could use and he insisted that while we were there it was our home, and made sure we had a full ceramic set of dishes and nice champagne glasses. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and all of the staff was lovely. I forgot my wallet in the room and came back home to NYC-- called Anil and he offered to bring my wallet to NYC the very next day! I could go on and on, but the whole is experience was wonderful and we can't wait to go back! read more

My boyfriend took me here as a surprise to celebrate our anniversary. He had seen the reviews online and somewhat knew the area making it a perfect pick. Even better was he had made arrangements with the owner, Anil, to have flowers and chocolate strawberries set up in the room upon our arrival. When we checked in Anil was there ready and waiting with a big welcoming smile on his face. The place is very charming with the quaint dining room and living room each off to the side of the front desk. It reminded me of my own house and I instantly felt right at home. He helped us bring our stuff to the room and let us settle in. Later that night he gave us some great food suggestions and things to see. We went to a great little drive in movie theater not far from this place. The next morning we woke up for breakfast and the place smelled great!! Anil cooks everything himself on premise. Not only did he have coffee, orange juice and fresh fruit (strawberries and pineapple my favorite), but sausage and possibly some of the BEST FRENCH TOAST EVER!!! We were sooo stuffed we could barely finish but with something so good how could we not. After breakfast we invited him to sit and chat with us for awhile and he has some of the best stories. Sadly we had planned to leave that afternoon and had to pack up not long after but we still talk about that little b&b. Hopefully we can find our way back during ski season!! read more

My husband and I are building a house in the area and have stayed at the Alpine Haus many times and probably have stayed in most of the rooms. They are warm, inviting, comfortable and have ALWAYS been spotless. We have had our pick of all the local B&B,s but this one is the nicest and best deal around. Along with the all day beverage and cookie station, Alisson prepares a delicious full breakfast. Sometimes, the B&B's only offer continental breakfast so this is definitely a plus. Also, the location makes it easily accessible to the area's many activities and stores. Allison and Jack have gone out of their way to accommodate our crazy schedules. They are very knowledgeable about the area and wonderful innkeepers! read more
