Make sure you go through miners alley to get to the entrance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What a phenomenal saloon.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It says bar food but it's quite sophisticated. Wild game chili is sourced from an elk farm. Pretty cool. The bison beer brat was plain but still great. My fave was the French dip with a side of green chili. Definitely put the chili on the sandwich. Phenomenal. Lovely service. Amy is unforgettable! Thanks for everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool saloon vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I've been coming to Miners Saloon for 5years and they never disappoint. They specialize in links, sandwiches and wonderful soups/salads. That might sound like a limited menu but that is not the case. Their sausages plates are great way to try different types of meats from elk, duck, bison and boar. Their house mustard and pickled veggies give this plate a nice kick. If you are in the mood for a bowl, I'd highly recommend the spicy pork green chili. This is definitely spicy but in a fun way, you will have a nice glow after eating this delicious chili. I love pairing this with their turkey club as the avocado and chili goes great together. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great decor to feel like you are in a mine[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and servers are constantly checkin to make sure you have everything you need.

Love this place - even for just a quick drink. We ate here a couple years ago, but today just had time for a drink on the patio (before the rain). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great bar selection, exceptional service, and a thorough old-west saloon ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Pretzel bites

We stopped here for drinks before dinner and I helped myself to a little appetizer - the pretzel bites! I asked for extra salt and really enjoyed them dipped in the beer cheese. Their drink menu is extensive with tons of unique spirits to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is a wild west vibe and a lot of fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They had diet coke for me but the drink menu was SO hard to resist. I can't wait to be able to enjoy myself again. We liked it here and would recommend!

We visited on a Thursday night and sat at the bar. The service was great. One female bartender who was training another female. Both provided great service. Drinks were great! We ordered the Charcuterie board, the Wild Game (Venison) chili, and the Bon Mi. The Charcuterie came out well before the other food so we had time to enjoy it. Really nice portions of cheese and a decent amount of salami and other meat too. House made pickled veggies, mustard, fig jam, and more with a thin, but sturdy, house made crackers. My chili was great and my husband enjoyed his Bon Mi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Perfect atmosphere for first timers to Golden! Nice music - not too loud. Great ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the ambiance and the food, friendly staff as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The Huckleberry 44°N Vodka Lemonade was delicious! We had the Miner's Wrap w/chips, Chicago dog, salt n lime chicharron and pretzel bites.....all were delicious. The prices were great as well, not overpriced.

We stopped in here for a quick lunch and sre very happy with our meal. They had a lunch specialnof half a pannini and either soup or salad as a starter. The food was delicious. We ate every bite. Service was fast and friendly. Highly recommend.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fantastic atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drove over 700 miles and we were beat. Came here to wind down had great food and a beverage and it was great!

We were escorted here by a nice local lady as we were traveling. Being vegan it's tough to find good food and music all in the same venue but this place was perfect for us. They had an indoor and outdoor seating area, a man playing the guitar and a great casual vibe. Craft beers, a nice menu and a beautiful setting looking up at a mountain. We had the chopped salad and a Lucious tomato bisque. The waitstaff was superb and very accommodating. I would love to eat here again on our next trip.

The downstairs outdoor patio is pet friendly, which was perfect for us and Luna. (The upstairs patio is not pet friendly because that's where the sushi bar is located.) The staff does a great job staying on top of clearing dishes and wiping down tables, so everything stayed clean despite how busy it was. When you arrive, they check your ID, stamp your hand to show you're 21+, and give you a card that's used throughout your visit. Every drink and food station scans your card, and drinks are charged by the ounce, so you can pour as little or as much as you'd like. They even have pre-salted glasses ready for margaritas! If you're unsure how the system works, staff members are nearby and happy to help. The food selection is impressive. There are several vendors offering everything from sushi and burgers to mac and cheese, Mexican food, ice cream, and more, so there's something for everyone. We ordered the loaded nachos, which came with chili, cheese, corn, and pico de gallo. They were really good, although I think they would have been even better with a side of guacamole and sour cream. The outdoor seating area has plenty of tables, lots of fans, and covered sections that provide welcome relief from the Colorado sun. The views are another highlight--you can overlook Clear Creek with the mountains in the background, and even see the Coors Brewery from the patio. Overall, it's a fun atmosphere, a very unique experience, and definitely worth checking out if you're in Golden.

The modern world forces a person to make too many final decisions. You must commit to a career, a…read moremortgage, and a twenty-ounce glass of alcohol before you even know if you like the taste of it. The Golden Mill rejects this entire high-stakes arrangement. Instead, they hand you a plastic card embedded with a microchip and invite you to wander around a historic, converted flour mill, conducting small, low-risk experiments on your own nervous and digestive systems. The mechanics are blissfully simple. You hand the host a credit card, they link it to a Golden Mill RFID card, and you instantly become a fully automated, self-regulating consumer. There are forty taps on the main wall downstairs and another sixteen up on the roof. They hold local craft beers, macro brews, ciders, wines, sake and even some premixed cocktails, all metered by the ounce. This setup creates a very specific kind of human delusion. When you are only pouring three ounces of a hazy IPA or two ounces of a heavy stout, your brain convinces itself that the laws of mathematics have been temporarily suspended. They have not. The ounces eventually conspire against you, and the tab can quietly evolve into a profound financial surprise the next morning. If you happen to get hungry during your experiments, there are five different food concepts scattered around the floor, covering everything from wood-fired barbecue and street tacos to sushi and fried chicken. If you are traveling with a group of friends whose dietary preferences have absolutely nothing in common, you can all wander off in different directions like stray livestock and reunite at the same table without a single argument. We took our glasses up to the rooftop patio. The view there is a strange study in scale. Below you is the rushing water of Clear Creek. Directly across the street sits the colossal industrial fortress of the Coors Brewery, churning out millions of barrels of macro-lager for the masses. There is a grand, quiet irony in standing on a roof, meticulously pouring four ounces of a highly specialized, small-batch sour beer while staring at one of the largest single-site breweries on the planet. When you are done, there is no agonizing wait for a server to bring a leather folder, and no competitive arithmetic over how to split the bill. You simply drop your plastic card into a collection box by the door and walk out into the Colorado night. The system automatically tallies your ounces and appends an 18% service fee to keep the house running smoothly. It is a wonderfully frictionless way to watch an afternoon accidentally become an evening.

The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and let us sample a few beers before we made our selection. We were really in the groove. Enjoying our carefully selected beers, exhausted and hungry, we anxiously awaited our food selection. We decided that we would share a hand tossed, oven fried pizza, ( well that's the image we had in our imaginations). I was already planning on what to drink next, since my first yummy beer was crunching my thirst and hunger at the same time. And then it happened. Our pizza arrived. Right away we could tell it was a frozen pizza, but not the new fancy kinda frozen pizza, you know the ones that are, "not too bad for a frozen pizza", pizza. This was more like, I'm in middle school and, "this is all that's left in the fridge", kinda of frozen pizza. The pizza was so bad that we didn't finish it. The salt and bad sauce ruined the taste of the beers. And my anticipated second beer evaporated into a memory

I said it was the best burger I ever ate. My husband, whose hobbies include crushing joy with logic, said, "No it wasn't. It was an ordinary burger. You only think it's amazing because you almost died." Had to settle that debate, so we tried it without the kill-me-hike warmup this time. Food I don't like my burgers swimming in their own juicy filth. And these burgers are dry, juicy, beefy, and didn't almost drown in their own fat. Even the bun (brioche, I think) stayed dry as summer heat. Plus, their fries are that kind that almost seem battered. Crisp on the outside, potato-y on the inside. We also tried the deviled eggs, which was a nice update to an old classic. Atmosphere This is perfectly casual with outdoor dining (great for dogs). Big umbrellas and coverage from the summer sun. I've never eaten inside because why. Service Perfectly competent. Nobody gave us a pony. Nobody accidentally set us on fire. The food arrived quickly, while the check took its own scenic route through the restaurant. Everyone was friendly. No complaints. Value Expensive burgers at $18-22 each. But I only have burgers a few times a year, so when I do, I'm going to demand one of these from now on.
