I had been worried to try the green grape milk tea because I've only ever tried them separately and wasn't sure how a fruity creamy drink would taste, but it was soooooo good! My friends said they were glad they got the double matcha at 50% because it would've been too sweet if not The highland barley boba resembled more of a popping style boba, with a "wrapper" feeling. I personally prefer the texture of regular/honey boba, but the taste was rlly good The interior was gorgeous! I hate driving out to places just for food, but this place is worth it. I happened to be in the area, so I finally got to give this place a try. It's small but clean; there is even a small assortment of games for folks to enjoy. I saw they had a barley boba and chestnut boba and was super intrigued. I'd be a hypocrite to say I could describe them, but I ended up enjoying both of them and bought two separate drinks with each. As you enter the door, the tea smell is captivating. However, the drinks were okay; nothing spectacular which is how I felt the first time I came when it opened. Discovered this place through a Yelp event. So glad I visited. Luckily it's in my neighborhood and has become my goto place for boba type drinks. Small but nice looking interior. They've decorated well with little knick knacks around the store. Servers here are very friendly and welcoming. Order through the kiosk and they'll start working on your drink immediately. So far all the drinks I've tried here are made well and delicious. They know how to use their foam gun! My favorite drink is the black sesame with barley boba. I went right after they opened so the girl working looked like she was getting a few things ready but she answered my question about the yuzu drink, whether it would be doable with 0% sweet without tasting sweet. I went with the hojicha tea with sesame cream and the yuzu osmanthus tea. The hojicha was very nice, it tasted like a brewed green tea with a roasted note, which is different from powder that I'm familiar with. I would come back again for this if I'm in the area. The sesame foam I didn't really like that much. It had a bit of a raw sesame taste, not fully roasted. And it probably could do with more cream ratio since it kind of gave me a concentrated sesame taste. The yuzu was also pleasant. It had a strong yuzu flavor without the sweetness of certain types of yuzu jam/puree. I noticed that they've been switching up their toppings over time based on the menu pictures. Came here to try for the yelp event! The place looks very modern, some nice decor. It isn't that big of a place, so if you have a big group keep that in mind. This tea shop is very close to Walnut High. I tried the Yuzu green tea, and also tried the Oolong Milk Tea. The green tea drink I believe could have had a bit more green tea ratio, but I did enjoy the Oolong. I saw some people talk about the lack of choices but I actually like places that don't have too much on their menu, I believe this helps to make their offered drinks better and not so hard for customers.
