I got the Jasmine Green Milk Tea. It is not comparable to the Rosemead location. Not sure if the ingredients are switched out or lower quality. The grass jelly topping had an old expired taste to it. They also have option for flavored fries but the fries are poorly flavored. There was one girl working and I didn't want to ask her for more favors. She seems like a sweet girl. read more

At Canyon Point Marketplace in Rowland Heights, I was waiting for my bb.q Chicken order. I saw R&B Tea. I said, it's so warm... a nice cold drink would be great to quench my thrist. I didn't give it a second thought, I was on my way here... This shop has a long view. Near the front are displays of cute and interesting toys plus other knick knacks for sale. Near the back is the seating area. There are a few tables and some chairs. Btw, you got to walk pass the merch before you can sit down. The young lady behind the counter wasn't the most smiley, but she was helpful. I ended up getting a Watermelon Juice for me. I'm watching my caloric intake LOL. It was so refreshing. I wanted to go to Yummy Bakery for Vietnamese coffee (but they were already closed). We were looking for Vietnamese coffee for my girl that had to work graveyard and stumbled upon R&B Tea. The place was clean and easy to find w plenty of parking, and service was friendly. My friend has NEVER had Vietnamese coffee before so she was in for a treat!! IYKYK!! The coffee was bold and strong but still had good enjoyable flavor. Looking back at the other reviews, I should've gotten a different drink. I already lowered my expectations for their matcha stormy because OMOMO is the best there is out there. However, the graininess and matcha quality they used was not very good. I would not recommend this drink. The egg waffle was decent as it was crispy and chewy on the inside. It's not too sweet at all but overall, I would probably just stick with OMOMO for their version of a matcha freeze. read more

After dinner nearby, we knew we wanted boba afterwards and purposely saved room for it! R&B Tea was on the opposite end of the plaza, which worked out as we worked off a little bit of dinner by walking here. I ordered a jasmine green milk tea ($5.75) at 50% sweet with easy ice and boba ($0.75). Just the right amount of sugar with the right consistency for the boba. Would definitely order again (and also possibly try their matcha milk tea or roasted oolong milk tea). Post-dinner boba craving met! Thanks Tiffany for taking care of our large group order! They have two small tables in the front and more table space in the back for hanging out and playing board games. Friend and I decided to come here after dinner for the Taro Stormy that looked amazing on the Yelp photos. When I walked in, I realized I've been here before years ago! I could not recollect whether it was a good or bad experience but since I don't remember, it probably wasn't a bad experience. Ordered the Taro Stormy which is one of their top 10. Added a crème brûlée topping, which ended up being a crème brûlée mixture on the top of the drink rather than chunks of crème brûlée pastries in my drink (which would have been amazing). The Taro Stormy did not have much taste by itself. My poor friend who ordered it 50% sweet pretty much only tasted ice. My Taro Stormy had a similar issue but it was mitigated since the Crème brûlée topping added just enough flavor to make it enjoyable to finish drinking - which isn't saying much. I'm finally writing a review here to make sure I get something else if I do come back by accident in the future. read more

Wasn't the best recovery I recently visited R&B Tea and ordered a Devil Booster, which is one of my favorite drinks there. I've enjoyed this and several other flavors from this location in the past, so this experience was disappointing. I did not notice that the cup was damaged when I first received my drink. As soon as I lifted it, part of the drink broke from the bottom of the cup and almost half of it spilled onto my pants. I went back inside and explained the situation to the two employees working. They were polite, showed concern, and apologized. Initially, they transferred the remaining drink into a new cup. However, they did not replace the portion of the drink that had been lost due to the defective cup. When I asked if they could refill what had spilled, I noticed that instead of adding more of the beverage, one of the employees primarily added more ice. As a result, the drink tasted watered down and lacked the orange flavor that I normally enjoy. I was disappointed because the issue was caused by a defective cup rather than anything on my end. While this one experience won't stop me from returning, it did leave a negative impression and made me reconsider leaving tips in the future. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes that management will pay closer attention to cup quality and ensure customers receive a fair replacement when issues like this occur. read more

I had no idea that this place was the same boba shop that I went to yesterday, where I did not have such a great experience. I will start by saying thanks for being fair about actually adding more than what they gave me at the other location. When I ordered no ice for my drink, they were fair about the portion they gave me. The other shop in Corona unfortunately didn't do the same, but they did do a 10% off check-in. Even if they do check-in discounts, they shouldn't add lesser liquid to people's drinks. I also ordered the market sausage, but I think it's a little too expensive. I was looking for a new place to try and found it on Yelp. They're located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The customer service was good. I was greeted upon entry and was able to place right away. The inside of the shop is cute. It's decorated nicely. They have a large variety of drinks and snacks. I ordered a Rose Oolong Milk Tea with crystal boba and cheese cream. I also ordered the lemon pepper popcorn chicken. The drink tasted good, but I couldn't really taste the cheese cream. R & B Tea is another chain that started popping up all over SoCal, challenging the likes of Ding Tea and Sunright amongst others. I've had R & B tea at other locations before, so the menu is nothing new to me. I have to say that the decorations are pretty cute here. Love the portraits of historical and pop culture figures with boba! They also have snacks and merchandise here that I don't think other locations have for purchase. I got the: 1) Peach Milk Tea: -I wanted to order this with less ice and with adjusted sweetness. I believe the cashier said that one of these factors couldn't be adjusted since the drink is blended, unsure which one it was, but my drink was a centimeter or 2 lower than the lid than the other milk tea that we ordered. -The drink coagulates if left for too long, so I guess that does mean that it is blended, but despite mixing it, it was way, way too sweet. Tasted more like a semi-smoothie than anything with the thickness as well. -Too artificial tasting for me. I did not like this at all. 2) Rose Oolong Milk Tea: -The roasted tea flavor was very, very strong for this, almost to the point of tasting burnt or like the leaves have been steeped for much too long. -The rose flavor was barely noticeable. They do have a point system but you have to download an external app and show your digital stamp card to the cashier. It's not Clover, Fivestar, or the Toast takeout app like other places use. Pulled up to R&B tea after a friend recommended it. The only worker in there seems to be sad, I had to repeat a question 3 times and she responded really quietly. They have happy hour on Monday through Thursday from 12 to 3 PM for Buy one get one 50% off. They are in the same plaza as 168 market. We grab a green Thai tea and a Devil's booster. Green thai tea: A bit milkier than I generally like this drink to be. Perfect sweetness at regular sugar levels though! Devil's booster: You can really taste the orange and hint of peach in the drink. It was definitely very refreshing. The oolong flavor worked well for this drink! I found it on yelp with 4.5 star in the area. So I decided to give it a shot. It's located in a busy shopping plaza where 168 supermarket is. Parking was easy to find. As I entered, I could feel the A/C was off. The shop was a bit on the warmer side in the middle of the summer. The cashier was friendly. The price was reasonable. I've tried 2 different drinks, one is a fruit tea, and the other is a classic milk tea. I have got to say, it's mehhhhh. it is subpar compared to other places I have tried. One Yelp review a day: 3/100 During a trip down the coast to San Diego, R&B Tea was one of the only boba shops we went to for drinks. Having a location open up in the plaza next to my workplace was a welcome change! The decor is quite unique and the establishment has an upbeat and eccentric vibe overall. The personal touch that comes with each of the different art installations is commendable. There are several tables within for lounging purposes, but their chairs are not the most comfy. They use a virtual stamp card through Elephant Foot Stamp which is pretty cool! They use a stamper that virtually applies a stamp to your account after signing up with the service. A lot of other businesses in the area also utilize their service so I would suggest downloaded the app to check it out! Onto the drinks: All selections come in a standard size (I believe 24 Oz) with a few exceptions that come in larger cups such as the Hawaiian Fruit Teas. The Hawaiian Fruit Green Tea is quite tasty! They use real fruits and it tastes refreshing, especially on the random hot days Southern California experiences. One of my favorite teas is Japanese Brown Rice Tea; the drink is super simple and hard to get wrong. R&B executes this drink just perfect! Paired with agar boba, this drink is refreshing and lighter on the pallet compared to most other options. Their Dragonfruit Mango Green tea was subpar to Starbuck's Mango Dragonfruit Refresher. The flavor was light, unlike the accentuated flavor of Starbuck's rendition. Pretty bummed that I didn't enjoy this drink as much as I wanted to. Coworkers have tried their honey boba and have concluded that it's of standard quality and neither stellar nor subpar. I went to a R & B yesterday but it was the one in Walnut. I had no idea there was one closer to me in the plaza by Fairway and Colima. There is plenty of parking. Have to say, the decor is more simplistic and there is less seating here but overall the drink seems to be better. I got the exact same drink, Oolong Milk Tea with Boba with 50% sugar and ice. The tea was definitely stronger than last night and the boba was soft and chewy like how I usually like it. Sugar level was good but I think 25% would be fine too since the boba is sweetened. My only complaint is that the drink took a bit for it to come out, maybe 20 minutes or so even though there was only one party ahead. Maybe they are new baristas and still learning. I've had my fair share of R&B Tea drinks from the locations in OC. I would say that this tea franchise is a bit underrated. I think the tea quality is more prominent than other places which is something I look out for in a good boba shop. I'm glad to see that they're expanding. A few days ago I stopped by and ordered an Oolong Milk Tea. It was a bit sweeter than I would have liked but at least now I know and can make the necessary adjustments next time. Despite it being so sweet, I was delighted to still taste the oolong tea. The boba I feel needs some work because it did taste a little stale and the texture was too hard. The service was nice but a bit awkward especially because they don't have any music playing so it's silent when ordering and while waiting for it to be made. It was cute to have gotten a small Valentines Day goodie bag, so thanks for that! I definitely am a fan of the design of the neon sign in the back of the store because it really invites you to take a picture with it. Lastly, I did notice that they didn't have as full of a menu as other locations. I'm not sure if it's just because they recently opened so hopefully they'll add more soon. read more

R&B Tea is one of my go-to places for fruit teas because they're all usually pretty solid! My go-tos here are the devil's booster (orange green tea), lychee green tea with aloe vera, and endless passion (passion fruit orange green tea). Would recommend getting it at 75% sweet since they do tend to run on the sweeter side. I recently tried the kumquat lemon green tea, which was good too. The workers are really friendly, and the decor inside is super cute! They have a bunch of boba-themed art and they sell boba-themed key chains/pins too.
