This place has been on my list for a while to try. It's not too far from my house, but the big push was their collaboration of Godzilla with them. I ordered the Brown Sugar Fresh Milk. It was excellent. Perfect balance of brown sugar and fresh milk. Lots of brown sugar flavor throughout the drink which i thoroughly enjoyed. The brown sugar flavor was rich and sweet. It came with boba which wasn't what I ordered. Still, the boba had perfect texture as it was soft, gummy, and chewy. Service was great. Was greeted upon entry. Cashiers were friendly. They asked if i wanted a sample to which I declined. I didn't want boba in my drink so I asked if I was able to order it without on the tablet. They said unless I chose the option to add boba, I wouldn't get boba. I didn't specify I wanted boba on the order but they still put it in anyway. I was behind two behind people that ordered and left once they received their drinks. Spacious inside the establishment. It was well-ventilated. Tables are spaced aqaduately. Super cute place! We were picking up food in the area - I need Asian eats even when I'm traveling- and Rowland Heights is the spot! We just got into town from SF on a Wednesday night. A good boba after sitting in that LA traffic was just what needed. It was just before 7pm. There was no one in there except for a guy with a laptop standing at the counter ledge by the window. There is a good amount of space to chill between tables and a lounge chair area. (Many of my go-to spots in SF don't have this much seating -if any at all.) Unfortunately, we didn't stay to enjoy it, as we had to get to get back on the road. The drink menu is pretty clear and fairly simple, but had all the essentials and enough variety for everyone. I got less sweet and I think that is the perfect sweetness for this tea, so that all the floral notes have their space to shine. Now I know what you're thinking with the price tag on the garlic parmesan truffle fries, but trust me it's worth. Even before we tried the fries, the pleasantly pungent smell of the parmesan alerted me to how bomb this was gonna be. And we really ate the fries up with yuzu sauce, it was very yummy & crunchy. I didn't know it at the time, but they had a buy-one-get-one-free deal for hot tea and hot milk teas during rainy days. I appreciated how there were coasters for our table too. I ordered an iced camellia milk tea ($6.49) with matcha cold foam ($0.99). The tea tasted strong, even more so with the matcha. After drinking the tea, I think I would've enjoyed it more without the matcha just so I could taste more of the camellia tea. The tea was still a delight to drink, and their cup sizes are large. They have unique menu items, and only three choices of toppings (boba, crystal boba, and lychee jelly). I love that they offer unique milk teas (i.e. dragon well, gyokuro) as well as ceremonial matcha, as many tea places don't use this high quality of matcha. The cashier was super nice and gave good recommendations. I ended up with a Mango green tea with crystal boba, the ube strawberry dream with boba, and the Vietnamese coffee with ube cold foam. The cashier asked if I wanted ube lavender cold foam (it wasn't on the menu) and I absolutely did! My family thought the drinks were great! I really enjoyed my coffee, the cold foam gave it just a hint of lavender and it was so good! I will be trying the roasted barley milk tea on my next visit! We tried the Thirsty Waters at their official Grand Opening event. It's located inside the Stater Bros. market plaza on Colima Road (across 168 Market). It had a long line that day, but we went in the afternoon around 2:30 p.m., and the line was shorter. We waited in line for about 20 minutes to get in. It had BOGO and "Labubu Giveaway" for the Grand Opening (we also got 1 claw machine token for every $5 spent, and we got 3 tokens for a chance to win Labubu). We ordered 3 drinks, and got another 3 drinks for free on the Grand Opening Day. We got the Strawberry Cream, Ube Strawberry Cream, Matcha Strawberry Cream, etc. All the drinks were good, refreshing, and they were not too sweet. They made a mistake on my Ube Strawberry Cream because I didn't see any purple inside, so they made another one for me and told me to keep that one. The interior has a lot of seating, is clean and has a good atmosphere to it. The service was great. 5 stars for my visit for them in person at their brick and mortar shop in Rowland Heights, but I had to dock off a star for the collaboration drinks that I had at anime expo chibi. First off, I gotta say that I do love the collaboration events that they have with various franchises and supporting the anime community at events. They did the Tokyo Ghoul Anteiku cafe at Anime Expo, a Demon Slayer collaboration and I visited their TokiDoki collab event in store and the Godzilla collaboration at anime expo chibi. For the in store event, they sold merchandise, had decor all over, and there's a passport to fill out and collect goods for too. I also love that they have snacks too, so many boba places are drink only nowadays. We got the: 1) Donutella - Strawberry Chrysanthemum Yakult: -I was afraid of how this was going to turn out since the collab drinks don't have the option of customization on the kiosk touch screen. -However I was pleasantly surprised! There's lychee jelly stars in it too, giving a very cute appearance for photos. -Great balance between the 3 flavors and not too sweet. Delicious. 2) Camellia Green Tea -My bf got this at 0% sugar and it's a very nicely steeped tea. Nice floral taste to it. 3) Crinkle-Cut Fries: -Not many places have crinkle cut fries and I got these seasoned. Adds a bit of flavor to them and it came out piping hot. Very crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. -We inhaled these and you have the choice of 3 sauces. We got the creamy yuzu kosho which is a mix of citrus yuzu with chili sauce. Not bad! A bit sour with sweet spice. -Would definitely get this again, hit the spot. 4) Black Sesame Ice Cream: -This was part of their TokiDoki collab. -It's prepackaged in one of those small cups. It's around a slightly larger scoop of ice cream. Nice black sesame taste, a bit icy but not bad! For the anime expo chibi event, it was a really neat pop up set up. There were city ruins, alarms, street signs, card board cut outs, lanterns on the table, merchandise for sale, and photo ops. Pretty neat. I tried every drink and 1 ice cream that they had for this event as one was the same black sesame that they had in store. 1) Mothra: -This is a Thai tea with a butterfly pea layer topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch. -Surprisingly really good. Light Thai milk tea with the slight taste of cinnamon and the cereal gives a delicious texture. Best of the three. 2) Godzilla: -This is a blue curacao lychee lemonade slushy. -The worst of the three. Super syrup-y and sweet. Very artificial and felt like it made me more dehydrated instead of being refreshing. After drinking 1/3 of this I had to toss it out. 3) King Ghidora: -This is a passion fruit, pineapple, mango jasmine green tea with passion fruit popping boba. -A bit better than the Godzilla, probably due to the jasmine green tea but it also was quite sweet and the popping boba just added way more sweetness to it too. Again, pretty syrup-y tasting as well. 4) Chocolate Fault Line: -This is a chocolate ice cream with strawberry Pocky sticks and marshmallows. Sweet, dessert heavy ice cream. I'm not a fan of these toppings, but it was alright to try out. I prefer the black sesame though. The drinks for this were mostly a miss. I was hopeful since the Thai tea drink and the Tokidoki drink had no option for adjustments and tasted just fine and not too sweet but the other ones had to be tossed out. This boba spot seemed new so I decided to stop by. The service was nice but it took them a moment to notice me. Drinks ordered: Phoenix Oolong Tea - Refreshing and not too sweet Lavender Ube Vietnamese Coffee - the freshly brewed coffee pairs perfectly with the lavender Ube foam, the coffee isn't the strongest flavor but it's tasty Overall, the place was cute, the decor is minimalist but the tables were all quite dirty. Great drinks, free & easy parking, friendly staff, & their popcorn chicken is the best I've ever had. Great restrooms and well designed ambiance. Their fries were also crazy good! Plenty of tables for people to get drinks and hang out. Drinks were tea based with great flavor. Can get low, medium, or high sweetness levels. Love that the drinks has labels next to them for caffeinated, non-caffeinated, dairy free, etc. - super considerate! I had the chrysanthemum tea with lychee jelly. Lots of sauces for the fries and popcorn chicken even though they can both standalone without any sauces - super rare. Definitely a must try if you're in the area. read more

Here for the official opening event. We were in line 40 minutes before opening. The IG post wasn't very clear. It said "LABUBU Giveaway" so we thought if we were early, we would get something... we got nothing ‍ We got a token for every $5 spent to play the claw machine (for a chance to win a LABUBU) If the post was more clear, I wouldn't have waited in line because there really was no need to be in line. The BOGO and "chance to win" was actually ALL DAY! I think all the people in line was confused like myself. Thankfully our drinks were good. I'll probably come back to try the coffee drinks, other than that the tea drinks are similar to other places. read more
